Chapter Forty-Four: Hot Crossed Hoes
Camryn's pov
The school day flew by quickly, Aiden ignored me the whole entire time, like he didn't even know me at all.
Brian decided to hang out with a few friends after school and my mom had errands to run, which leaves me at home, alone.
So now, I'm sitting on my bedroom floor, in front of my blank T.V with my phone in my hand as I scrolled through Instagram mindlessly while 'Sippy Cup' was playing at a very low volume on my speaker.
I wasn't in the best mood, considering my boyfriend hasn't talked to me for more than half of the day, and I'm home alone.
Being home alone scares me shit-less, I hate being alone, and the worst part about being home alone is when I'm home alone and I'm annoyed.
Also, my window is jammed and won't shut because I have noodle arms, so I'm scared some weirdo is going to see my open window and climb up.
So yeah, I'm pretty paranoid.
"You call that ass your own, we call that silicone." I sang quietly to myself as I heard a quiet shuffle from behind me. My body froze, my eyes locked onto my phone screen, not daring to look behind me.
"Boo." A voice whispered in my ear.
"AAAAAAAAAAHH!" I turned around quickly, swinging my fist at the person as I screamed.
"Ow." Aiden rubbed his forehead as he lie on the floor from my punch. "Oh my God!" I gasped. "Aiden don't you ever fucking do that ever again you little shit!" I shouted.
He barked out a laugh as a smile tugged at the corner of my lips. Giving in, I gave him the biggest smile, not being able to hold it in any longer.
"You scared me." I whined in a high pitch voice as I hopped onto my bed and buried my face into a pillow.
"I'm sorry my love." He said as he lie next to me, my face still stuffed in a pillow, as he kissed my jaw, trailing down to my neck.
I waved him off, smacking his face. "Not now." I groaned. I sat up to face him, his elbow resting on a pillow as he rested his head on his knuckles, watching my every move.
"Can I tell you something?" He asked. I grabbed his other hand, intertwining my fingers with his. "You can tell me anything." I replied
"I really, really fucking-"
"Goooooooood afternoooooon!" Brian said as he swung the door open. "Oh." He said as he smirked at me and wiggled his eyebrows. "I just wanted to say mom's calling you downstairs."
"We'll continue this discussion later." I smiled at Aiden as I kissed him. "Ewwww." Brian scrunched up his nose as he tip-toed out of the room and down the stairs. I barked out a laugh and kissed Aiden goodbye (again) and left downstairs.
"Hello mama." I said as hopped off the last step and rushed over to my mother, planting a kiss on her cheek.
"Hello Cammy." She replied with a smile as I helped her put groceries away. "This is gonna be one dinner, mother. I think you're forgetting there's only three of us." I chuckled.
"Actually, that's what I was gonna tell you." She sighed as she put something away in a cabinet and faced me. "What is it?" I asked.
"We're having.....guests over." She replied. "Guests?" I asked slowly. My mom looked out of the window in back of her nervously, then back to me.
"Your father-"
"EXCUSE ME?" I shouted. "Watch your tone." She hissed. "I'm sorry, but after what he did?" I asked angrily. "I know." My mother sighed. She grabbed my hands and held them in hers, my figure standing in front of her petite one.
"I know you'd react like this," She sighed again. "He misses you." She said after a moment of silence. "Yeah I wish the feeling was mutual." I turned my back on her. "Camryn-"
"I'm going out." I said before grabbing my phone and stepping out the front door.

I strolled along the sidewalk as the sun was going down and the skies were pink. I looked at my surroundings, realizing how long it'd take to walk back home, and also realizing that if I come home late, my mom will murder me, and if I don't come home late, my mom will still murder me for ignoring her speech and missing dinner with my dad.
But it was all worth it, because I cleared my mind and calmed my nerves by listening to aesthetic music full blast on my earphones.
I sighed happily to myself as I entered a bakery called Hot Crossed Buns. It was quiet and calm, with an Autumn vibe, and smelled absolutely delicious.
I was greeted by an adorable, petite female cashier with curly black hair, and sat at a quiet small table with a cup of coffee in front of me.
The bakery was full of people stringing their guitars, at tables on their laptops, and even on the stage singing quiet jazz that gave me fifties vibes.
I smiled softly to myself, sitting back and closing my eyes, taking everything in at this moment. I felt so at peace, like this was something that I had been wanting, working for.
But of course, all good things have to eventually come to an end.
"Camryn!" A voice called from across the room. I peeped one eye open, still leaned back in my chair and searched around the room. I tilted my head back and groaned, loud enough for everyone in the bakery to hear.
Marilyn slid into the seat in front of me and smiled, showing off her pearly whites. "Hi Marilyn Mon-" I stopped myself, because I didn't want Marilyn's acrylic nails attacking me.
She stared at me questionably, and gave me a glare like she knew what I was about to say. "So," She said as she sat straighter, arching her back.
"How's everything going, with you and Aiden?" She asked in a high pitched tone. "Fine, especially since you haven't slept with him." I mumbled in reply.
"What?" She asked. "Nothing." I replied quickly with a smile.
"Anyways," she smiled and shook away her thoughts, switching her position as she crossed one leg over the other. "Why were you gone for so long? How long were you gone like four, three weeks?" She asked.
"Don't think you're little act is going to-"
"Act? What act? I'm simply being curious." She grinned. "Hoe, I will bitch slap the fuck out of you." I sat straighter.
"You're calling me a hoe? Considering you slept with your boyfriend on the first week you guys dated." She glared at me.
My eyed widened, my fists clenching at my sides. "My love life is none of your buisness." I snapped.
"It practically is, considering I slept with two of your boyfriends."
"You say that like it's a good thing!" I shouted, slamming both of my fists down on the table. Marylin flinched, tapping her long fake nails against the wooden table.
I stood up slowly, already easily angered, and glared at Marylin. My fists clenched at my sides, as I closed my eyes and breathed, trying to calm myself down.
"Just get out of my sight, Marylin, before I kick your ass." I said quietly. "You won't, I know you won't." She laughed.
"How much do you want to bet?" I grinned. She stood up, her legs shaking a bit, and crossed her arms. She was scared, I could definitely tell. She knew that this was something that I was capable of.
"Alright," she started as she stood across from me, the table keeping us separated. "I'm leaving now. But remember this, Aiden only wants you for one reason, all boys do." She smirked. "Because you're a little-"
I suddenly pounced at her, her figure lying vulnerable on the floor, incapable of doing anything. I hovered over her, slapping her over and over, a few punches here and there.
Her nose started to bleed, unable to keep her eyes open, along with a busted lip.
I was being pulled away from her as someone dragged me away. "Somebody call the cops!" A man said. My eyes widened and I bursted out of the bakery, sprinting down the street, and ran all the way back home.
I reached my house and opened the door quickly, slamming the door behind me as I leaned my back against the door.
"Camryn?" My mom asked from the kitchen. "Is that you?"
Unable to catch my breath, I nodded to myself. "Yeah," I said, completely out of breath. "It's me."
My mother rushed into the living room, wrapping her arms around me. "I can't breathe, mother." I said hoarsly as my mother hugged me tightly. "Oh," she said as she let go.
"What happened, are you alright?" She asked worryingly. I nodded and smiled.
"Just peachy."
