The videos that everyone took of Teddy and Chuck's fight were posted online and shared around the school like wildfire. Actually, correction; everybody saw the videos. With Zoe's social media standing, the videos went semi-viral. Just enough people had seen them for Zoe to worry about her career. Zoe being involved in a fist fight between two male classmates wasn't a good look. She was too sweet for something like that. Too kind. Too innocent. What would she do if her reputation was ruined because people were getting so attached to something this small?

As much as Teddy, Zoe, and Chuck wanted everything to be forgotten, all of their classmates thought differently. Videos from their school had gone viral. It was all anybody could talk about. Joseph, who was the most obnoxious kid in school, was especially boisterous today. His video has the most retweets on Twitter and he wanted everybody to know about it. He thought he was going to be famous, as if this little scandal was going to last through the weekend..

"I didn't know you had such a big pair of balls on you, Zo!" Joseph shamelessly wrapped his arm around Zoe's neck when he finally found her in the hallways. "But, I have to admit, I'm surprised you didn't yell at Teddy. I know you're a saint and all, but he was guilty too."

Zoe nervously forced a smile at Joseph. "I didn't yell at Chuck.. I just.. don't like seeing people fight."

"What!?" Joseph dramatically exclaimed as he excitedly hopped, causing Zoe's feet to trip from his awkward movements. "You threw your entire bag at Chuck's head! You were definitely pissed!"

"Knock it off! You're going to break her neck!" Chuck shoved Joseph from behind and took his place beside Zoe.

Joseph held his hands up in mock surrender as he snickered. "Listen, I'm okay with it. Zoe's inability to not be the center of attention gave me five thousand Twitter followers. I'm a fucking legend."

Zoe awkwardly hugged her textbook to her chest as she avoided everybody's stare, even Chuck's. She did feel guilty that she had yelled at Chuck and not Teddy. Teddy was the one that vandalized Chuck's car. But she couldn't stand when he called Teddy a mutt. It was so rude and heartless. It was a clear sign that he was the bully. And the things he said about Teddy's sister that just weren't true. It upset her. She couldn't help but be bias towards Teddy. Who else would look out for him if she didn't?

Everyone in Zoe's little pack traveled through the halls to make it to their next class. One by one, someone split from the group as they shared farewells. But, when Zoe found her class that she had with Teddy and Vanessa, she was suddenly very nervous to go inside. Zoe shoved her nose into business that wasn't hers, pissed off Teddy, caused a fight, and now he was all over the internet because of it. The fist fight, the yelling, vandalism, name calling. The worse side of Teddy Morgan had been exposed to the world. And it was Zoe's fault.

"Zoe, Chuck. Come in." Mr. Zander peered around the principle to look at his students in the doorway. Teddy was already sat at his desk by the window, his head rested on his desk and headphones in.

Chuck looked to Zoe, whose eyes were glued to Teddy. It upset him that he expected as much. This wasn't Chuck's class this hour, and the principle was here, which made this whole situation very awkward. Something bad, worse than just detention, was in store for the three of them. And it was all Zoe's fault. Still, Chuck and Zoe stepped inside the classroom as Vanessa awkwardly headed for her desk.

"I realize a bit of conflict sparked at the football game last night, correct?" Mr. Zander spoke as he headed towards Teddy's deck, gently tapping on it to get the boys attention. Teddy plucked his headphones from his ears and looked up to see his teacher, the principle, Chuck, and Zoe all stood at the front of the class. "Principle Doyle is going to speak with you three in his office, get the full story, and divvy out proper punishments for each of you."

Zoe's body instantly locked up. She had never gotten in trouble at school before. Not with the principle. Sure, she had detention once, but it wasn't that bad. Was she going to be suspended? Expelled? Were they mad that the videos were all over the internet? Could they sue? What about Teddy and Chuck? They were the ones actually fighting. And Teddy vandalized Chuck's car. Was he going to get in trouble for that too?

Was there someway she could take the blame for everything since she was the one that started all of this in the first place? Because she would. For her friends. And Teddy. Even if he didn't consider her a friend.

"Don't worry, Mr. Zander, Mr. Doyle." A third party chimed from the doorway of the classroom.

Everyone turned to the doorway, spotting three men in sleek, black suits. Zoe felt her heart drop into her stomach as her eyes met the eyes of the man in the middle. It was Kenneth. Kenneth was here, at her school, the morning after she was filmed in a high school fight video that went viral. That meant her parents had seen it and she was in trouble. Teddy stood from his seat and slowly, cautiously, gathered his things as he examined the men in black. They were all looking at Zoe, which made him look at Zoe. She was completely frozen and as pale as a ghost.

Kenneth's eyes shifted from Zoe to Mr. Zander and then the principle. "We'll be taking Zoe from here. As her families manager, I assure you, we have our own punishments in line for situations like this."

Mr. Zander and principle Doyle exchanged hesitant looks for a moment. "Well, sir... I believe the altercation took place on school grounds, between classmates. And Zoe-" Principle Doyle was abruptly cut off.

"Pardon me, Mr. Doyle, but Zoe is much more than just your student. That means she has more than just detention to deal with. So, if you don't mind, the only thing on Zoe's agenda is damage control." Kenneth smiled, the expression dark and sinister. "This will come to your benefit as well, Mr. Doyle. If you want this mess to disappear, Zoe will handle it."

No. Zoe will be forced to handle it like a helpless, mindless puppet, Teddy thought as he gritted his teeth. He could already tell where this was going, and it was bad.

Chuck turned his attention to Zoe, who looked like she'd pass out at any second. He reached for Zoe's arm but she dodged him, her eyes down as her hair fell in front of her face to shield herself from his stare. She knew where this was going better than anyone else. Everyone had gotten a glimpse of the worse side of Teddy, and now Zoe had to deal with the worse side of her. Without another word, Zoe hugged her books to her chest even tighter and made her way to Kenneth. With a tense expression, Kenneth grabbed Zoe's wrist and pulled her out of her classroom with a forceful tug.

"Hey, wait a minute!" Chuck called after her.

"Zoe!" Teddy yelled in a panic as he rushed to the door. He didn't even think before he was up and running.

Chuck met him at the door as they watched Kenneth drag Zoe down the hallway. When the men in black reached the corner of the hallway, they turned. Zoe, on the other hand, managed to slip from Kenneth's grip and turned to see Teddy and Chuck staring at her from the opposite end of the hallway. She felt her heart warm knowing that the two were looking out for her, even when she should've been on both of their bad sides. They were still worried. Hopefully, that would be enough to keep them from tearing each other apart while she was gone.

"Are you fucking kidding me, Zoe?" Kenneth growled when they reached the sleek, black car parked in front of the school. Zoe ducked her head as Kennth towered over her. "Your parents are gonna kill me! And then they're gonna kill you! Why would you get involved in something like that? Where has your head gone?"

Zoe fought back tears, her heart racing in her throat. All she could do was shrug and struggle to utter coherent words. "I'm sorry, Kenneth. I swear, I didn't-"

"Save it!" Kenneth threw open the back door of the car so violently that it made Zoe flinch. "Get in."

Zoe couldn't help but look back at Hudson High School and wish that there was someone there to call after her. She wanted someone to beg her not to go and save her from her appending doom. She couldn't help but to see Teddy there, worry and desperation in his eyes. If only it was real. If only he would be her knight and shining armor. If only she hadn't completely ruined the tiny shred of a relationship that they had. He wouldn't be here for her when she returned. She knew that.

"Zoe Yang!" Rin, Zoe's mother shouted as she stormed towards Zoe at her immediate arrival. With a hard slap to her face, Zoe gasped with her eyes wide and mouth hung open in shock. "Who do you think you are? Have you lost it? Zoe Yang! Who are you?"

"Zoe.. I'm Zoe.." She hiccuped, tears streaming done her face already.

"Who is Zoe? Does she get involved in childish fights? Does she let her friends affect her reputation like this?" Rin yelled and scolded.

"No.. No, she doesn't.." Zoe sniffled.

"Who is she? Who is Zoe?"

"Zoe is sweet, and kind, and innocent. She always smiles, acts like a lady, and brings light to every room she enters and person she meets." Zoe forced her words to come out as firm and poised as possible, although, she let her head hang so her hair could block her face from her mother.

Unfortunately, Rin didn't let anything slide. She pushed Zoe's shoulders so her back was as straight as the chair she was sat in. Grabbing her chin, she forced Zoe's head up and flicked the hair out of her face. Zoe's stained cheeks and puffy, red eyes and nose didn't affect the anger in Rin's firm expression. She snapped her fingers in Zoe's face, causing her to flinch.

"Again! Say it again." Rin demanded.

"Zoe is sweet, and kind, and innocent. She always smiles, acts like a lady, and brings light to every room she enters and every person she meets."

"Again."

"Zoe is sweet, and kind-"

"You didn't look so sweet and kind in that video, Zoe. You looked like a misbehaved teenage delinquent." Rin interrupted. Zoe's eyes closed as she took a shameful breath.

"And innocent-"

"No, she's not. Zoe steps into high school fights and throws her bags at her fellow classmates like a wild hoodlum." Rin sassily countered.

Zoe pushed through, knowing she had no other choice. "She always smiles-"

"You were seething in that video, Zoe. Does Zoe Yang get angry? Does Zoe Yang yell and scream in the middle of high school fights?"

"No, mother."

"Continue!"

Zoe flinched but obeyed. "Acts like a lady-"

Rin laughed, a laughed similar to the ones Zoe heard when she was drinking with her friends at a bar. It really sounded like she thought that statement was hilarious. But the amount of venom in that laugh shook Zoe to her core. She hated that. Her bones ached at the sound as the disappointment and anger radiated through that very laugh.

"And brings light to every room she enters and every person she meets." Zoe finished with a shameful tone to her quiet voice.

Rin cracked another laugh, again, grabbing Zoe's chin with a painful pinch. Zoe tried to fight her mother to escape from the pain but Rin only held her in place even more, increasing the pain little by little until Zoe stopped. Tears pooled in Zoe's brown eyes as she stared up at her mother. She wanted to go home. She wanted her friends, Chuck, Teddy, her classmates. She bet none of them had this problem in their life. Couldn't she just go back and share their life to escape hers?

"You're despicable, Zoe! Your father and I raised you to be better than that." Rin scowled at her daughter as she stared down at her. "What has that school done to you? I knew we shouldn't have sent you to a stupid public school with kids so misbehaved and uncivilized."

"It's not their fault.." Zoe gulped. "I promise, mom. I was only trying to-"

"Don't bother." Rin pushed Zoe's face away with one last, hard pinch, causing her hair to fly in front of her face and stick to the tears on her cheeks. "You're going back to June Dicken's Private School. I don't want those animals to ruin your reputation and your career. I won't have you corrupted by those hooligans."

As Rin turned to leave, Zoe felt her heart race at an alarming speed. "Wait, no! Please, mom! Let me go back! It's Halloween soon! I have friends and parties and-"

"Parties?" Rin shouted in shock, her beady eyes big and threatening. "You think you're going to any parties with people like that? Absolutely not!"

"People like that? Mom! The girls at June Dicken's snort cocaine in the school bathrooms! And the boys-"

Rin pointed a sharp, manicured nail at her daughter with the glare of death in her eyes. "Don't you dare raise your voice at me like that, Zoe Yang. You can ruin your reputation, flush your career down the toilet, but you will not disrespect me!"

Zoe's eyes fell as she tried not to get too carried away. Maybe, her mother was right. She had lost herself a bit. The old Zoe would never go against her mother like this. "I'm sorry, mom. It's just.. The kids at June Dicken's are horrible. Sure, the kids at Hudson might smoke and.. sometimes drink.. but-"

"See, Zoe." Rin folded her arms over her suit with a smug cock to her eyebrow. "They're all the same. All teenagers are juvenile animals."

"Then, why switch me to June Dicken's again? What's the difference? Can't I just stay where I already am? I like Hudson."

"The kids at June Dicken's don't film themselves fighting! And if-"

"I didn't film it, mom, I-"

"Let me finish!" Rin shouted. Zoe submitted. "The kids at June Dicken's are raised by parents just like your father and I, except, they've actually raised smart children. They don't let videos get leaked. They hide their drugs. They actually use their brain, Zoe! Nearly two months at Hudson and you've lost all your brain cells, Zoe!"

"Please, mom! Please! I like Hudson! I love Hudson! Please, let me stay! If I stay, I'll never-" Zoe desperately begged her mother, who was currently brainstorming an alternative. Inevitably, Zoe was cut off. Like always.

"No! No, no, no. We're pulling you out of there. And those kids.. Those boys.. We're gonna deal with them too."

Zoe instantly jumped up from her seat and clawed at the expensive, pressed fabric of her mother suit jacket. "No. Please, mom. Please. They didn't do anything. I promise, it was all me!"

Rin yanked her arm from Zoe's grip with an evil glare. Without acknowledging Zoe's pleas, she headed for the door. The sound of her mothers heels clicking against her old bedroom floor haunted Zoe in her dreams. It was terrifying to hear again after escaping to Ohio for two months.

"If you don't let me go back to Hudson, or if you bully my friends from Hudson.." Rin paused at Zoe's bedroom door and peered over her shoulder at her daughter, intrigued as to where this was going. "I won't go to the anniversary event next year."

The air around Rin darkened with anger at her defiant daughters threat. Instead of lashing out, Rin reached for the light switch and flicked off the lights in Zoe's room. "Go ahead, Zoe. Throw your little tantrum. We both know you're going to that event because you have no choice in the matter. You also have no choice but to spend this weekend cleaning up your mess so your father and I don't suffer from your insolence." Rin slipped out of the room, leaving Zoe in nothing but darkness and silence.

Zoe's eyes fell shut as a long sigh escaped her. Talking to her parents was so frustrating. They were always interrupting her, and even if they didn't, they weren't listening anyways. It was so disheartening trying to talk to them. They treated her like a robot and tore her apart every time she messed up so they could put her back together better than before. It hurt, being the daughter of the ruthless Yang's and still having to portray the image of a perfect child.

Zoe is sweet, and kind, and innocent. Zoe chanted repeatedly in her head as she sat in the dark, ignoring the tear that rolled down her face. She always smiles, acts like a lady, and brings light to every room she enters and person she meets.

"Good morning, morning, morning, everybody!" The voice played over the speakers in every room of the school. Teachers paused their lessons as all their students averted their attention to the noise. "You've just tuned into your favorite live radio show, where we're on the air all day long. I'm your host, Todd Windfree joined by..."

"Your favorite radio cohost, Katy May!" The second voice sang happily over the speaker. "And today, we'll be starting our live morning program off with the lovely Zoe Yang. Everybody welcome, Zoe Yang!"

There was a short applause in the studio, as well as in the school as some of Zoe's friends and even teachers clapped. Teddy relaxed in his chair as he realized the whole school was going to freeze just to hear this. It looked like he had no other choice. It was announced this morning that Zoe would be on a popular radio show and it would be broadcasted through the entire school when it went live. There wasn't a soul in this school that didn't give their full attention to the radio show broadcasted through the speakers.

"Thank you for joining us, Miss Yang. It's a pleasure to have you with us this morning." The grin on Katy's face looked just as friendly as it sounded, as Zoe would claim.

"Thank you so much. I'm very excited and very nervous. I've never done radio before." Zoe awkwardly laughed as she held the mic in front of her.

"I can understand why! People always like to tease me, saying I have a face for radio. You're just about the complete opposite of that, Zoe." Todd joked.

"Thank-" Zoe started but Katy cut her off with some banter.

"I would agree that you don't have a face for radio, Todd. Zoe, on the other hand is an amateur model so I think she's got you beat by a mile!" Katy teased her cohost.

Zoe giggled into the mic. "Thank you, both of you. Your both very sweet."

"In case our listeners are unfamiliar, Miss Yang, tell us about yourself. What do you do? Why are you here?" Todd asked.

Zoe took a deep breath, her eyelashes batting rapidly as she tried to think as quickly as possible. They were live and this was a radio show so she wasn't suppose to be quiet for too long. "Well! My name is Zoe Yang, I'm 16 years old, born and raised by my mother and father, Hiro and Rin Yang. Some might know them as the CEO's of Sensation Auto Corporation. If you still have no clue what I'm saying, my parents like cars. Me, on the other hand, I am mainly an event host and, like Katy said, amateur model."

"An event host? Is that your official career title?" Todd asked with genuine curiosity in his voice.

"Uhh.. I think so? Hosting is technically what I would call my job moving forward. It's definitely something I want to stick with but I also really enjoy modeling."

"So you're a girl that gets many opportunities, I would assume." Zoe hummed in agreement, giving Todd her full attention as he continued. "What are some of the things you've been doing lately?"

"Currently, I've been focused on my life at school. I've recently transferred from a big private school to a small town public school so that's been taking up a lot of my time." Zoe explained. "Aside from that, I do travel for modeling and events for hosting when I can."

"Is that hard?" Katy frowned, her eyebrows slightly furrowed with concern. "You have such a big life outside of school. What is it like for you at a public school?"

Zoe perked up happily. "Actually, I've made so many good friends and everybody there is so nice. It's a lot less threatening than a private school, for sure. I'm really really enjoying it."

"While we're on the subject," Todd started and Zoe took a deep breath to steady her nerves. "Our producer just showed us the video that surfaced the other night of a fight breaking out at your school. Actually, there's about eight different perspectives of this fight, and we watched them all, but I was very surprised to see you in the middle of it."

"Yeah.." Katy agreed in awe as she stared at Zoe from across the story. "A high school fight doesn't really seem like your kind of scene, Zoe. How did you get wrapped up in that?"

Zoe forced a smile and cleared her throat. She just had to remember everything he mother told her what to say and what not to say. "To understand the scene to the fullest, I should confess and say, both the boys in that video are good friends of mine. I care dearly for them both, which is why I got involved in the first place."

It was quite obvious to the entire school that Chuck and Zoe were inseparable, especially to Chuck, but they didn't expect Zoe to say that about Teddy. Most of the eyes in Teddy's classroom turned to him, making him feel increasingly uncomfortable. Most of them were so unbelieving of Zoe's claims that they assumed she had to say that so it didn't sound like she was picking sides. Chuck, on the other hand, was already gritting his teeth. He didn't realize Zoe's damage control included saving Teddy's ass.

"This feud between the two boys, which I will not go into for their own privacy, has been going on for years. Unfortunately, I must admit that I kind of rekindled their feud when I overstepped my bounds. The two boys in the video are truly very good people. They wouldn't hurt a fly. It was just a bad situation with lots of misunderstandings."

Teddy rolled her eyes but couldn't help the bitter laugh that tumbled in his chest. This was ridiculous. Teddy knew why she was doing all of this, and luckily, he didn't have to assume like he did before. Zoe had texted him yesterday to tell him everything one long text at a time, as if he would even bother to respond. Her mother confronted her about the videos when she got to LA, her father arrived to scold her as well, and they both agreed that Zoe had to do some major damage control.

Thus, how she ended up on a live radio show, airing out all her dirty laundry. As well as Teddy and Chuck's dirty laundry. The only difference was that Zoe was inevitably going to come out on top. Zoe's parents wanted her to pin all of it on Teddy and Chuck, at first, but she ultimately refused. All of this was her fault. She was the one that was being nosy, she was the one that got caught between her two friends, so the least she could do was defuse this situation for everyone involved. Hopefully, then, Teddy could find it within him to forgive her..

If she didn't have the standing that she did on social media, then those videos wouldn't've circulated around the school and then disappeared. Unfortunately, because of Zoe, it was much, much more than that. Teddy and Chuck didn't deserve to take the heat for all of this. But, as much as Zoe wanted to take the fall and admit all her wrong doings, her parents refused. Keep it neutral. Everybody was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nobody was the bad guy. And like her parents always told her, she didn't have the choice to do it any other way.

"I think we definitely witnessed both boys hurting more than a fly." Todd laughed. "You too, Zoe. I mean, you threw your bag at your friends head. What was that about if both boys are friends of yours?"

"I was thinking the same thing, Todd." Katy butted in. "Zoe got upset at the blonde one but it was the other boy that was yelling at her. Ever since I watched the video, I've been so intrigued by this story. Is it a love triangle, maybe?"

Zoe eyes went wide. She didn't expect a question like that. Neither did Chuck or Teddy. That question only made Chuck more tense and upset as Teddy's head fell back in annoyance. He really didn't want people contemplating his temper and love life on a live radio show that thousands of people were listening to. The unexpected round of questions made Zoe's throat all dry and itchy, but she still forced a calm and collected facade. But, this is what you got for getting involved with a girl like Zoe.

"No, Katy. It's not a love triangle situation." Zoe awkwardly chuckled. "Again, both boys are my dear friends. Personally, it was very upsetting to see them both fight. That's why I lashed out the way I did. But no, they are nothing more than friends and nothing less."

"Okay.." Todd looked at Katy, both of them obviously unsatisfied by Zoe's answer. So, Todd pushed a bit more. "Who, would you say, is least in the wrong in this situation?"

Zoe tensed. She didn't know how to answer that without repeating herself, which was very frowned upon in a professional setting. And it didn't help that Katy had more to add to that.

"From what we saw, both boys threw punches, both boys were doing some name calling, and there was definitely a bias within the crowd surrounding the fight. And Zoe, you're a very, very sweet girl. Personally, I've had a wonderful time meeting you and getting to know you. Just tell us, from your perspective, who's the victim in this scenario."

Zoe's eyes shifted from Todd and Katy as her smile faded. It annoyed Zoe that people were so obsessed with finding the good and the bad. That's obviously why she was here, which isn't why she came. She didn't come here to point fingers, she came here to delude the subject enough so the video stop circulating on he internet. She didn't want a name name on Chuck, Teddy, or herself.

"Neither." Zoe firmly admitted "They both said hurtful things, but it's my fault that any of this happened in the first place. If anyone deserves to take the blame for what happened and how all of this blew up, it's me. And that's the honest truth."

Chuck instantly got up and grabbed his things when Zoe said that. Teddy lifted his head at the sound of commotion in the room and wasn't surprised when Chuck flashed him an angry glare before he disappeared out of the room. Their teacher attempted to call him back into the room but Chuck was already storming off. One by one, pairs of suspicious eyes fell on Teddy, but he ignored them all. This was all too pointless to him.

"I really doubt that you're to blame for a petty fight between high school boys." Katy laughed. "You're such an angel, from what I hear. I admire you for being so gracious to take the fall, but personally, I think boys should take responsibility for their carelessness."

Todd nodded as he spoke up as well. "I totally agree, Katy. Zoe's a perfectly sweet girl. She shouldn't have her career and reputation suffer at the hands of some immature boys and classmates."

Zoe stared silently at Todd and Katy as it all clicked. Her mother, who was stood idly in the studio, was smiling like a Cheshire Cat. Zoe pushed and pushed and pushed for her mother to give up trying to blame Teddy and Chuck for this, but she had her own agenda. Damage control wasn't for the boys, it was for Zoe. Teddy and Chuck would hate her. But, Rin didn't care. She did things her way, no matter what. Even if it wasn't fair. Especially, if it wasn't fair.

Zoe was nothing but her mother's puppet... What else was she, if not that? She never made her own decisions, even when she was trying to make the right ones. She never spoke unless told to and couldn't even use her own words. Zoe couldn't help but wonder what she had to do for her mother to give her control of her own life. What did she have to do for her approval and love? Or was she only meant to be the puppet in Rin's morbid show or power and riches?

"I think you've said all that you're willing on the plot of this video, though. So, tell about your school. Hudson High School, is it?" Todd shamelessly changed the subject.

Teddy rolled his eyes as he clenched his jaw in frustration. He already knew where this was going. This was probably her mother's idea, if he had to guess based off of what Zoe told him. In order for Zoe to not get expelled for how all of this blew up, she had to talk up the reputation of the school. Flattery. That was exactly how she got out of admitting that her parents forgot about her at the first football game of the season. All of which was planted in Zoe's mind like a puppet, he imagined.

Teddy couldn't help but get up and leave when Zoe started talking up the school. He needed a cigarette. He shouldn't be surprised that everyone wanted to write off Zoe as innocent, but it still bothered him. Nobody even knew her. Nobody knew shit about her. She was nosy, and clingy, and obvious. She was spoiled, and because of that, she couldn't take no for an answer. That's how all of this happened. But nobody saw all those flaws. So, she was innocent.

Bullshit. Everybody on the outside would always be the bad guy in Zoe's life.

"This is such bullshit, right?" Chuck blurted from his post against a wall as Zoe's voice continued rambling from all around the school. Teddy turned to the blonde and let him continue, out of pure curiosity. "I'm Zoe's best fucking friend and she's just gonna let me get thrown under the bus like that?"

Teddy snorted a laugh and, earning an evil glare from Chuck. "What did you expect? Zoe has bigger things ahead of her than us. It doesn't matter what the world thinks of us, as long as she succeeds one way or the other."

"Why did she even bother to try and cover your ass? You're the motherfucker at fault here." Chuck exclaimed.

Teddy shrugged. "Didn't you know? She's an angel. She wins in every direction this way. People are convinced she has a good heart because she's protecting her disgruntled friends, we still get blamed so she walks away without blood on her hands, and the school board will love her for putting a Band-Aid on our little wound. She's a professional, Chuck. Careful who you befriend..."

As Teddy sauntered away, blocking our Zoe's annoying voice as it was blasted from every speaker in their school, Chuck yelled after him. "You're not her friend and you still lost. What does that mean for you, huh?"

"It means nothing, Chuck." Teddy yelled back without turning around. "You're her friend, the one with actual shit to lose. I've got nothing less to lose and nothing to do with her. You're the one really getting screwed here, Chuck. It must be my lucky day."
