"Supper is over." Petunia said, "Percy, you can do the dishes."

Percy sighed, and gathered up the dishes.

20 minutes later, Percy was done and heading to his room.

To distract himself, he got on the floor and started doing exercises.

First push-ups, then crunches, then sit-ups, then curl ups, and many more.

After a long time of that, Percy was sweating like a pig and needed some air.

He retreated downstairs, only to run into Verman (That's his name...right?).

"Where are are you going boy? What have you been doing?" He asked.

"I've been exercising and now I need fresh air."  Percy replied lazily.

"You have 10 minutes." He said.

"Fine." Percy grumbled.

When he got outside, he laid on the grass with his hands under his head, mumbling to himself.

"Why Fates? Why did you do this to me?" Percy mumbled.

"Why her? Why not me? Is it too late? Can you still take me?"

Percy's POV
"Who are you?" Someone's voice asked.

I opened my eyes, and sat up.

A kid who looked a little younger then me, with brown hair and brown eyes, stood about 10 feet in front of me.

"Percy. You?" I asked lazily.

"Joshua. Did you move in with the Dursley's? There absolutely terrible."

"Yes, in fact I did. I had nowhere else to go. Petunia ismy aunt." I said.

"Why?" He asked, "Don't you have parents?"

My eyes hardened over, "Look man, sometimes bad things happen, and you don't have parents anymore. Asking about it is the last thing you should do."

"Sorry. Sometimes I say things without realizing they could hurt someone."

"Just don't ask again." I said, "How old are you?"

"16. You?"

"17."

"Are you American?" He asked suddenly.

"Ya, I came from New York."

"Cool, I've always wanted to see what it was like." Joshua said, coming over to me, "Mind if I sit with you?"

"Sure." I said, "New York isn't that great. There's always crimes, traffic, and it's always really loud."

"Has to be better then here. There's nothing to do." Josh (I've decided I'm going to call him that) said.

"10 minutes are up!" A voice came from the house.

I sighed, "I've got to go. Want to meet me here tomorrow? I could use a distraction."

"Sure, I can show you around town." Josh said.

He smiled at me and I walked back into the house, him going in a different direction.
