Chapter 1, The Voice

It was a beautiful day outside Val was walking to her friend's Brianna and Haley's house. When she suddenly stopped because she heard a strange noise coming from the distance.

"It's probably just my imagination acting up again." She said to herself and kept walking. The voice was still there and she tried her best to ignore it when she got to Brianna, and Haley's house the voice was gone. She didn't know what was happening but she knew it wasn't right. She was also very concerned about her friend's safety, so she decided it would be a lovely day to go visit them!

After a couple of hours just talking about video games and watching Game and Film Theories, Val started to grow tense and she knew why. The same voice from before is Back. She didn't know what to do so she didn't tell anybody. Val decided to take the pills she had in her backpack to stop the voices. Val was feeling better so she went back to playing video games with her besties! "Hey Val, Brianna, we should gather all our friends and go to the woods and just walk around. We will all have some bags on our backs and some weapons in case someone tries to hurt us and we should walk around the big woods!" Haley said and asked. "It would be good to get away from all the technology and we could have so much fun!" Bri said and was basically smirking. "What?" Val said. "Nothing, Nothing," Bri said, and we all burst into a laughing fit. When we stop we were still giggling but then stopped. "So what are we waiting for? Let's get ready then!" Haley said.

After a couple of minutes later we were ready! "So, Where do you want to go?" Val said, wondering where they were all gonna stay at. "Hmm...Maybe out in the woods Backyard!" Bri said. Val has been in the woods once and she didn't like it, she felt like she was being watched all over the place. "That sounds like a great Idea Bri!" Haley said. Val did not want to go back into those woods. She told herself that there was something in those woods that made her feel really scared, she just didn't know what it was. At first, she thought it was bigfoot until she got a closer look at it. It did not look like bigfoot. It looked more like one... "Val!!" Bri said snapping her fingers in front of her best friend's face snapping Val out of her train of thought. "H-huh? What?" Val said. "We asked you if you were okay! You seem pretty pale." Haley said worried for her friend. "O-Oh, I'm...uh....fine! Yep! Just fine!" Val said.

Val was getting more and more scared for her and her best friend's lives. She thought they were all gonna be eaten alive! "Val, are you sure your okay?" Bri said. "Y-Yeah! I-I'm fine!" Val said, "Okay." Val then started hearing the voices again and looked to her left and saw a shadowy figure behind a tree and she nearly freaked out. "Val! Calm down!" Haley said. "Val, take your pills please!" Bri said. Val takes one of her pills and the voice leaves her head and so does the shadowy figure.

A couple of minutes later Haley and Bri set up camp for them and Val was starting a fire and was being cautious about what she does know. Bri was now concerned for her friend. "Val, are you sure your okay?" Bri said while being worried about her best friend. "Yes. I'm fine." Val said being cautious while looking around. "Well, to make things happier I am wanting to call some of our other friends to come over so we could have a great weekend!" Bri said trying to lighten up the mood. "That would be a great idea Bri!" Val said.

When the others came around we were all excited to see them. When they were here we all with us we started playing Truth or Dare. "Hey, Val, Truth or Dare?" Bri said. "Uhhhh....Dare?" I said I was scared of what Brianna had to say. "I dare you to walk into the woods all by yourself!" Crap, she wants me to go alone in the woods?! "What?! No!" I said. "You have to! It's a Dare!" Bri said. I sighed and grabbed my bag full of stuff like my pills and stuff. I then head out and try to not stay away from the camp so I won't get lost. Bri didn't say for how long I have to be out here. So I'm just staying here for a little while until I hear my name get called.

I have only been out here for a few minutes and I'm already getting scared. I don't know what to do at this point. I didn't travel far, I should head back to camp and go to sleep immediately. I'm also seeing shadows more often. I don't like these shadows, they're getting stronger and won't go away every time I take a pill. I think I'm going insane from all of these shadows and I think my friends can see them too but won't say anything about it, how I know is that every time they look in my direction, they look scared. I don't know how to stop these shadows. I don't think there Shadows anymore, I think their real creatures. I think I need a book about these creatures that I can keep with me forever.

I found my friends again. I feel safer, I do think that there is something out there trying to get us. It's terrifying to know that something or someone is out there to get us. It didn't look human at all. I'm starting to think that thing wasn't a human at all. "What are we going to do?" Bri asked. "We need to find a book. It should be here somewhere." I said. The book has to be here. I know it's here.

"Hey Val, is this the book?" Brianna asked. I looked at the book she was holding and smiled. "Yes, it is! Thank you, Bri." I told her. She smiled and then Haley came over to see what the book was all about. "What's that?" She asked. "It's a book about all these Monsters that are surrounding us," I told her. "Oh, Okay." She said. I just looked through the book and found some stuff that would be useful. "Okay. It says here the only way to get rid of this monster is to throw some water on it." I told them. "That should be easy!" Bri said. I sighed. "It's not," I told her. "What do you mean by that Val?" she asked. "The water has to be green. No Food coloring." I told them. "WHERE WILL WE FIND THAT?!?!" Bri yelled. "Bri, calm down. I'm sure we will find something!" Haley said. "That's the thing. The water we need is at my house." I said. "WHAT?!?!" They both yelled. "WHY DIDN'T YOU BRING ANYTHING?!?!" They said. "I didn't know that the Monsters would come back today," I said. "Wait what do you mean by that the Monsters would come back today? Did- Did this happen to you before Val?" Bri said. I just sighed and nodded my head. "Oh my goodness," Bri said. "Why didn't you tell us?" Haley said. "I didn't want you guys to get worried over me so much," I said. "Val, no matter what, we will always be here for you! No matter what!" Bri said. "Yeah, we will always be there for you!" Haley said. "Heh. You guys are truly my friends."

Me, Bri, and Haley all went to my house to get the book. We were at my house when we heard something so we all stopped and listened. I went to my room quietly and got everything I needed and put them in a bag and grabbed extra clothes and stuffed them in the bag too. We need this stuff to get rid of all the monsters around us. "I got everything I need. You guys should pack too." I told them. They nodded and packed some things that they needed and some of the extra stuff that I needed. There's no way I'm going to let the Monsters win this fight. Not today. We all head out of the room and go down into the basement. "It's safer down here." I said.

When we got to the basement I had already been prepared for this day. I had a lot of canned food that was still good. A lot of blankets and pillows. Some drawing supplies. Also, there was a bathroom. "Wow. Your basement is huge! No wonder you refused to let anybody down here! It's a safe room for you!" Haley said. I just nodded. "Nobody is going to get us down here. In case if you guys were wondering that is." I said to them. They just nodded and sat down getting comfortable. "We will go and investigate in the morning. Every night, we must camp down here." I said. "Alright. But what if we need water?" Brianna said. "I have plenty of water down here. It's just all hiding in places only I know." I said.

"I remember when I was little when I first saw these creatures. I was just playing around in my front yard but then I heard a rustling in the bush near me. So I walked over to see what the rustling was... then that...thing... popped out and jumped on me. My parents came out and saw what had happened and my father grabbed his gun and shot the thing and my mother quickly grabbed me and told me to hide in the house. Before I did I heard the thing yell saying, "She will be ours!" then my dead yelling back at it before he shot it, "She will never be yours. Now tell your kind to stay away from my daughter." I was then shoved into the house before I could hear anymore and then... after a long period of time my parents came and my father had a few scratches on him. And my mother also had a few scratches on them as well."

Sorry! I hope you all enjoyed though! Even though I ended on a cliffhanger. I just hope you all will enjoy what I did. It basically took me 2-3 years to think of this. And I just hope I entertain you guys with wait I did!
