Chapter One

Hello, non-existent fanbase! Here's chapter one! -HPGacha

Grian P.O.V.

Grian woke up, panicking.

Evo's over, Grian. Herobrine's gone, he told himself.

Sighing, he started working on his base.

He didn't think anything would go wrong today.

He worked on his modern blender into the night.

He was still working on his base when X sent him a message on his communicator.

Hey G, can you come to Mumbo's base? We need to talk.

Coming, he replied.

He took his elytra and started flying towards Mumbo's base, wondering what the seriousness was about. After all, he had been working on his base all day.

Nothing was wrong, right? Right?

When he arrived at Mumbo's base, everyone was looking at him strangely, like… like they hated him.

They didn't hate him, right? Right?

"W-What is it?", He asked, scared of an angry response.

After all, anger had led to their deaths.

"You know what it is," Mumbo replied, a harsh growl coming from his usually kind voice.

"N-no I d-don't" Grian replied, his voice getting shakier as he remembered the arguments during Evo that lead to everyone's death.

Was Herobrine here?

"Mumbo, calm down"

That was X, who seemed skeptical of him, but not as angry as Mumbo.

"I trusted him X! Heck, we all did! And he betrayed us in the worst way possible! He should be banned!"

Why was Mumbo so angry? Was Herobrine messing with his head like he did with the players on Evo? If so, why now? And how did he get here?

"We have no actual evidence that it was actually Grian, anyone could have changed the sign. Even though it probably was him, because he's the new one on Hermitcraft, and the person would have to be whitelisted, I cannot ban him without evidence."

What were they talking about? He felt glad that he wasn't getting banned even though X and Mumbo seemed to hate him. He didn't know why they hated him, but not getting banned was a plus. Still, he wanted to know why they were mad at him.

"W-what are you talking about?"

Anger. Pain. Death.

He was getting really scared now. He kept getting Evo flashbacks. It was getting really stuffy out here…

Still, he needed to know. There must be really convincing evidence, right? They wouldn't just turn on him if there was the slightest chance that he could be bad, right? RIGHT!?

After all, they were his friends.

And friends trusted each other.

"Doc was found murdered in his base, the only clue being a sign that said 'Say goodbye to your friend! -G'. That obviously leads to you, and there are other tiny bits of evidence, like the fact that this has never happened before and you are the newest hermit. However, there is no concrete evidence that it was you, and because of that I cannot ban you."

Oh.

Oh.

Doc was dead. And the other hermits hated him.

Of course. It made sense. Their friend was murdered, and Grian was just the terrible admin who couldn't take care of one server.

That didn't mean it didn't hurt, though.

Crying, he flew back to his base.

He landed quickly, he didn't care if he got hurt, and locked himself in the bathroom. (Just pretend his base has one XD)

It hurt.

No matter how much he deserved it, it still fucking hurt!

But he did deserve it.

He knew it was Herobrine who did this, but he didn't care if Herobrine hurt him.

But if he hurt the others, he would pay!

But it didn't matter if he hurt him, because he deserved the pain. He deserved the hurt.

After all, he was worthless.

He was terrible.

He was nothing.

Grian stared at the knife in his pocket.

Should he?

He took the knife out and inspected it.

It was smooth and sharp.

Perfect.

Grian carefully rolled his left sleeve up, grabbed the knife and cut.

It felt good.

Was Herobrine making him feel this?

Maybe.

He didn't care.

He deserved this.

After all, he failed everyone he met.

This was his fate.

He deserved to suffer.

But for some weird reason, the cut had healed, leaving only a scar.

Grian didn't know why that had happened, but he estimated that it might become a problem in the future.

After all, the pain was useless if it was healed immediately.

He needed to suffer, after all.

And suffering was long term.

Sighing, Grian took the knife and continued to cut.

Herobrine P.O.V.

It was working.

Those foolish Hermits had believed the sign.

When would they ever learn?

Well, it was too late now.

Grian was already very, very suicidal.

He knew that Grian was annoyed by the whole healing thing, but he couldn't let the source of his power die, could he?

After all, Grian was essential in his plan to take over the world.

And someone also had to be murdered.

Now Docm77 was stuck in spectator mode, watching everyone suffer.

It was so hilarious!

Poor little Hermits, with their dead friend.

Doc's P.O.V.

It was chaos.

Everything.

All the reactions, all the hate.

All the sorrow, all the hurt.

It hurt him to only watch.

Why?

Why was Herobrine here and what did he want with Grian?

'Cause he was pretty sure that only someone with unlimited code access could heal someone like that.

He didn't know why he would want Grian to heal, but he apparently did.

However, Doc felt that Herobrine was getting stronger with every cut on Grian's arm.

Was it possible to feed of emotions?

Also, why Grian? Why not an admin like X or someone more emotional?

And how did he get here? Herobrine was deleted so many years ago, and only existed on servers in Alpha.

And Hermitcraft was on the most current update possible, 1.13.

Speaking of which, how did Grian get here? Hermitcraft was whitelisted, and Grian didn't get an invite like everyone else.

So many questions, and so little answers.
