(No) Lie : Final

"Stop moving so I can fix your damn hair!" Hoseok seethed as he moved Yoongi's bangs to frame his forehead.

The elder had his arms crossed over his chest, his lips set into a firm pout as he just stared at his boyfriends chest as Hoseok fixed his hair.

It was finally the day of their graduation, a day that was exciting, thrilling, relieving, and dreadful, all at once. Their families were all gathered for this special day, friends as well, all watching their children go from high school into their futures.

As of now, the seniors were all gathered in the venue that was chosen for their graduation. They hadn't walked out yet which is why Hoseok was so frantic about fixing Yoongi's hair. Yoongi of course cared about the graduation, he just didn't care for how he looked, he was leaving anyways. Hoseok, on the other hand, did care, the pink haired male finally finishing up in fixing Yoongi's silver hair.

Yoongi finally looked up at Hoseok's face, his eyes narrowed into slits, "Was that really necessary?"

Hoseok just gave him a goofy grin, the younger, yet taller, male pecking his boyfriend's lips sweetly before saying, "Extremely." Hoseok's upper lip twitched, signifying he had gotten a cut from the small lie. Since, it wasn't that necessary.

Their principal walked into the area all the seniors were gathered in, a small smile on his face as his gaze followed them, "All of you must be feeling a mix of emotions right now," he stated with a chuckle, some of the students laughing a bit, "before we finally let you go into out the world, all of us administrators would like to say how proud we are, personally." they smiled, bowing to their principal before he walked out and told them to follow him out.

Hoseok took a deep breath, he was nervous, excited, and scared? He was feeling so many emotions at once he felt nauseous. Before he could bolt out of there and run to the nearest car to drive away, he felt a hand wrap around his own.

Looking over, he saw Yoongi, his boyfriend, his savior, his rock, looking at him with a soft smile.

"It's going to be okay, Seokie, we'll be okay," he assured him, which calmed Hoseok's raging nerves in that moment.

The two finally walked out, met with multiple clapping hands from the parents and friends sitting down and watching their loved ones. Hoseok and Yoongi weren't holding hands anymore since they didn't want anyone to get angry if they were homophobic, they wanted to have a good day not a bad one.

Hoseok and Yoongi weren't sitting side by side either, since they had everyone in alphabetical order. Yoongi was near NamJoon while Hoseok was near Soyeon. All of the seniors watched their principal give a small spiel on how he was proud of their class and how he wishes the best for them in their future plans, before he introduced the valedictorian of their class.

Kim NamJoon.

Not a surprise.

NamJoon stood at the podium with shaky hands, his hair was styled perfectly, he was dressed in the proper attire, he had the speech he was meant to give in front of him, but he was too nervous. He wasn't one to get like this, but as he looked into the crowd of expectant eyes, felt the burning stares of his classmates behind him, he looked for familiarity.

And soon enough he saw it when he looked into Jungkook's doe eyes.

The younger male was sitting down with his hands in his lap, his hair now half blonde half pink, Shuhua on his left, and Jimin and Taehyung on his right. He was looking right at NamJoon and gave his boyfriend a reassuring smile accompanied by a thumbs up.

NamJoon smiled, his dimples poking through as he did. He took a deep breath before he began, everyone listening.

"They say high school goes by quick. The four years of work, four years of finding forever friends, four years of figuring out what you want to do with your life, goes by fast. To that, I agree, but only to an extent. When you have conversations about high school when you're young, all they say is that it will be the most memorable years of your life, the fastest, they never say why they're memorable. Things can be memorable for different reasons, bad reasons, good ones, because it was a difficult time in your life. High school is a difficult time. They don't say that through these four years of trying to pass, you will also be figuring out who you are as a person, you will lose people, you will fail. And that is simply the reality that they don't always talk about..." NamJoon looked into the crowd of people as he said his words, these words sinking into his classmates, administrators, and the parents.

"... No one says high school isn't fun and that you won't have some good times, it's just the words of advice people give aren't meant for everybody. So, here are my words about high school. High school is difficult, it will go by quick, and they will be memorable, but they won't be memorable for the same reason for everybody. Your time in high school won't be like the girl that lives down the street from you. You will find people who will be in your life for years to come, you may lose people who have been in your life for awhile and that's reality. You'll maybe find someone you fall madly in love with in the mix of it all, someone who you'll never forget, who helps you become better," NamJoon's gaze met Jungkook's, the young male blushing and smiling shyly.

Hoseok and Yoongi also glanced at each other, the two smiling softly towards one another.

"... You can't compare your high school experience to someone elses, make it your own, follow your own path and keep your head up high even if it's difficult. You're your own critic and can be your own best friend, let high school be memorable for mostly good, learn from your mistakes and don't discourage yourself for them. Thank you." NamJoon bowed as he ended his speech, the male not expecting to receive a standing ovation from not only his classmates, but the crowd in front of him.

Jungkook had tears in his eyes as he let reality sink deep into his chest.

He had spoken to NamJoon about what he was thinking, his boyfriend feeling bad for it. They talked, talked for a long time before they came to a conclusion that would hurt them, but was also the right thing to do.

NamJoon would be leaving to Uni a couple days after Jungkook starts high school, and Joon doesn't want Jungkook to focus on their relationship while he is in his senior year. So, they decided that at the end of summer, their relationship will come to an end. When Namjoon proposed this, Jungkook cried, he cried harder than he has ever cried before, because he didn't want to lose what he and NamJoon have.

The elder hugged him, he hugged him tight, because he knew Jungkook needed assurance. NamJoon wasn't one to believe heavily on fate, he liked having explanations for things that occur, but for Jungkook he'd bend his ways of thinking. He told the younger that if the universe really wants them together, then they will find their way back to each other in the future.

Jungkook didn't believe him, he knew what NamJoon was doing and hated it, he just wished they could stay together without anything having to happen. But he knew it couldn't be like that.

Now, though, as he looks at the man he fell in love with for his personality, brain, and overall self, he believes his words a little more.

Hoseok and Yoongi walked to a small park on the outskirts of town after their graduation ceremony.

After finally earning their diploma, the two decided to go out for a small date before they had to go to their families and celebrate there.

The park was small, had a comfy feel, there were multiple benches with trees surrounding either side. Gorgeous cherry blossom trees that gave everything an anime type of feel, though the two didn't mind, they embraced it.

They both had the letters they had written about each other, Hoseok had both letters Yoongi wrote, the one from the beginning of the year and the one from the end, and Yoongi had the same. They promised they wouldn't read them without having the other person present, now here they were, ready to do it together.

"I swear to god if you say anything about me being short or looking like a cat, i'm going to kick you off the bench," Yoongi warned as he held the two letters, sitting on the opposite end of the bench from his boyfriend.

Hoseok chuckled, scratching the back of his head, "Might as well kick me off now, then."

With a loud tsk, Yoongi turned away and opened the first letter. The one from the beginning, before they were together or even were friends.

Min Yoongi is my seat mate for Creative Literacy with Mr. Song. He isn't very tall and keeps to himself more than he really speaks to others around him, including me. He's extremely opinionated, which can be pretty aggravating, and doesn't have much of a filter from what I have noticed. His favorite colors are white and black, he likes to eat lamb skewers, and lives with his mother and father not to far from where I live. From going to his house this past weekend to get to know him better, I noticed how he is very organized. He is very observant of things that other people wouldn't always notice and he is also extremely defensive.-

Yoongi laughed out loud at that part, Hoseok glancing at him before the younger continued to read. Hoseok told Yoongi that he wrote two drafts of the letter since they got a bit closer before it was due and he was still writing since he was, and still is, a procrastinator. The elder leaned back as he continued to read.

I don't know much about him, but he seems to be a good person overall and someone that I can see myself surviving the school year with. His hobbies include, and I quote, writing music, sleeping, and more music. He has an older brother named GeumJae, but he didn't talk about him much so I can't put anymore pertaining to that. He lives with his dad and mother. His best friends also go to the school, their names are Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung, I don't know much about them since we don't really hangout with the same people. Overall, I don't know much about Min Yoongi and don't feel him and I will speak or interact much outside of this class. He seems like a nice person but does not have a filter.

The silver haired male smiled at the irony of it, Hoseok, like himself, thought they wouldn't even be friends after the class. Now here they are, as beautifully connected boyfriends.

They promised not to move on to the next one till the other was done and Hoseok still hadn't finished with Yoongi's.

As Hoseok read Yoongi's letter about him, he couldn't help but keep a smile on the whole time.

My seat mate is Jung Hoseok, he is of average height and has bright red hair. His skin is more on the caramel side, which is the complete opposite of my pale skin. He is extremely loud and has a bright aura surrounding him. He was born February 18, 1994, which makes him younger than me by a year. His favorite color is green, favorite food is hamburgers, and his favorite drink is Sprite. Hoseok has three sisters, one that is older than him and the other two are younger than him. The older one is named Jung Dawon and the other two are named Katsumi and Changmi, Kat and Mimi. His mother went to this exact high school, her name is Jung Hayoon, and his father is not a native Korean but comes from South Korean decent. The only time I think I will interact with him would have to do with this class, we are both completely different people who have extremely different beliefs and philosophy. That is my partner, Jung Hoseok.

When Hoseok was finally done reading it, he turned to Yoongi and said, "You seriously got an A for this?" he asked, holding up the paper.

Yoongi shook his head, "An 80 since I didn't put enough 'emotion'." he air quoted the word, Hoseok laughing as he shook his head fondly.

"You didn't but I love you anyway," Hoseok told him, pecking his boyfriends lips before he told him, "Let's hope the second one is better."

Yoongi rolled his eyes before flipping him off, "Yours wasn't that good either, bitch."

"Better than yours."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night."

They both broke out into a fit of laughter before finally opening the second letter. The letter they had to write at the end of the year, when the two became a couple and fell in love with one another.

Hoseok was the one who began reading first.

It's kind of funny how your opinion on someone can change in the matter of a year, how madly you can fall in love with someone. Jung Hoseok is an amazing human being, a handsome, loved, person who I can't see my future without. He has a beautiful family consisting of five amazing people, Dawon, a creative genius, Kat and Mimi, the most adorable pair of twins. Hayoon, his mother, the kindest soul to ever exist, and his father, the most understanding man I have ever met. His favorite color is green, which compliments him well since the color green makes him look adorable. Hoseok has pink hair that makes him look even more ethereal than he already is, he has a tall, broad, frame that makes me feel small next to him. And he has the prettiest smile on the planet, in the gorgeous shape of a heart. My opinion on him? Well, i'm in love with him. He's everything I would want in a partner. He's kind, understanding, feisty, funny, and makes me smile and feel good about myself. Over the year of being his partner, both in class and in life, i've learned that the most broken are the most beautiful people on the planet. They are strong and beautiful, and don't get told that enough. I love Jung Hoseok, with every fiber in my body. He's changed me for the better, has made me a more understanding and caring person. Without him i'd still be the awful person I used to be. To finally wrap this up, Hoseok is my sun, the energy and light that power me through life with a smile on my face. I love you, Seokie.

The pink haired male was covering his face, tears going down his eyes as he just allowed all the emotions to sink in. He looked over at his boyfriend, who had tears streaming down his pale cheeks as he read.

In the korean language, Yoongi means shine, and I feel that is pretty fitting for Min Yoongi. His light isn't overbearing like the sun, or annoying like a lamp, but calm and beautiful; like the Moon's light. Yoongi is like my Moon. At first I didn't think he was going to be a big part of my life, but here he is, just standing around being the love of my life. When I say Min Yoongi made my life a million times better, it is no exaggeration. He taught me how to deal with my demons, how to defeat them and throw them in the dirt. He is like my angel, the angel I never asked for but came into my life either way. Yoongi is one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen, his pale skin compliments him so well, his cute button nose and pink lips make him look adorable. He looks cold and reserved, but he's actually one of the softest, talented, most empathetic, people I have ever met. The love I feel for him is nothing i've ever felt before, it is so strong that whenever i'm around him my heart beats out of my chest. Yoongi has my heart in the palm of his, big, hands. Meeting him has taught me you can't base your opinions off of looks and initial personality alone. He looks like a cold, rude, person, and he can be, but that isn't the only part of him. Meeting him has been one of the best parts of my life. I love you Min Yoongi, more than I ever thought I could love someone, you're the reason I'm still here and the reason I am one of the happiest people on the planet. Never lose your gummy smile, baby, I love you.

When Yoongi was finally done he looked over at Hoseok, who was already looking at him, and kissed him faster than the speed of light. He was surprised he didn't miss.

Hoseok had his hands on Yoongi's hips and Yoongi had his hands on Hoseok's neck, the two expressing every ounce of love they had for each other in that one kiss.

Hoseok and Yoongi were in love, two young lovers who's hearts intertwined to provide each others happiness, comfort, warmth, and, most importantly, love.

And that, my friends, was not a lie.
