Lacuna

I then woke up in my wolf form, which, I forgot happens whenever someone tries to make me fall asleep at nights like those. I also realized how awkward that must've been for Conor...

Oh.

Snap.

I realized what day it was. This was when everything's going to collide into each other... We had to move out of this place, we had to continue our journey... A lot was going to happen today, I know. The others were all still asleep, which meant that I had to wake them up...

(Timeskip after getting yelled at by everyone for me waking them up.)

We were just about to get moving when all of a sudden, from all directions, there were random explosions...

"Hah, they want to play with explosions? They picked with the wrong wolf!" Blackout determinedly said. He looked to me and nodded, telling me he would take the lead. I had to handle getting the others to safety.

"Take cover!" I shouted, and ran to some trees that would give us some time to hide for cover until this rain of explosions was over. We all ran into the trees and hid behind them... The others hid behind me while I peered out from behind the trees to view what Blackout was doing.

Blackout was in the sky, searching for the causes. He flapped his wings as he quickly soared from place to place, checking nearly everything. It looked like he couldn't find the cause because he went back on the ground, and he held a very excited expression that I knew all too well...

"Well, if I can't stop the explosions, I might as well join them!" He shouted, and with a single movement of his hand, he had summoned bombs and grenades everywhere. Blackout lit the ground up entirely of fire, and he made lightning strikes surround where he was.

I was glad that he could control the fire and lightning so it wouldn't reach, nor affect us.

The explosions, fire and lightning couldn't affect him in anyway, because they were all apart of his elements. The battlefield that I was witnessing was full of flames and bright lights.... The battlefield that Blackout was in looked like it was a firework show.

Blackout's eyes even looked like they had flames in them... He was having so much fun... After a while, his power was out, and he dropped to the ground as he panted. The fire, lightning and explosives all disappeared. ...He over did the whole thing, but I knew he wanted to...

We all ran over to him, and he still had a grin on.

"Was that really necessary?" I asked him, and he looked up at me with the determined look that he never washed away.

"Of course!" He replied, and chuckled. I laughed quietly and softened my look at him.

"Just had to make sure." I then laughed again at how much he over did it... The ground was nearly all black from being burned, and the snow was long gone. Whatever Blackout did, it made the explosions go away, which was good.

Whilst I was healing Blackout and helping him get back on his feet, a ship fell out of the sky and nearly crushed us. It was a good thing that we were all standing further off to the sides and not where the ship crashed.

The crashing of the ship did scare me, though. "The fluff-?" I looked at the ship that had crashed, and all I could see was that pieces were crumbling off and it looked like it had been engulfed in flames... The ship must've caused the explosions...

I walked over to the ship, and bent down to see if I could collect any possible information as to why ship was doing such a thing, and who might be in the ship. It couldn't be humans, I knew that... A decal for the ship was on it, but another piece that actually said the name of it was torn off so I couldn't properly make out what it said... I looked for the piece that was missing, connected it with the other peace, and I read that it was for the government...

No way... The Illuminati, the K.K.K., it all made sense now... I knew they were after me! I had known too much... No wonder... But it wasn't humans who controlled this, so who could've possibly done this? I didn't know.

I gasped at the sight, as the others crowded around me. "I knew it! I told you!" I referred to Xander and Eli, whom I had told that the Illuminati and K.K.K. were after me...

"Illuminati confirmed." Blackout said, unsuprised at what he had seen. Blackout and I had been dealing with the Illuminati ever sense we had met each other. This was normal for us.

"We've got to get out of here. No time to think about this, we must continue on the journey." I quickly said, transforming back into my wolf form, and taking the lead. The others agreed, and with that, we moved on with our journey.

Things were getting interesting...

Then, as we were all running, the earth started to shake...

....No one could control this. Even with the element of earth, no one could control natural disasters while they were happening. It just wasn't possible, unless you were Mother Nature herself, then you couldn't do it.

"Earthquake." Blackout confirmed and I looked at him...

"Everyone into the air!" I shouted, and those with wings would take the ones who didn't have wings into the air. By the time we knew it, everyone was in the air and away from harm... We couldn't keep this up forever, though. Holding a person while you drift in the same place is tiring work. Blackout and I were not overpowered, nor were any of the Paradise Keepers. We had our limits, our flaws and everything in between.

...I just hoped that nothing would ap-

Zombies swarmed into the ground below us...

All of us with wings tried to fly away, but we couldn't... We were frozen for some odd reason... We couldn't do anything except drop down and face the zombies. I looked over to Tyler whom was thinking of a plan. Tyler and I had also discussed the zombie apocalypse and we had made plans for that, too.

That was when my paws started to lose their grasp to the person I was holding on to, which just happened to be Tyler...

We had no plan...

I felt my wings start to drop themselves...

The same was happening with all of the others...

There was no escaping this.

We dropped.
