Sonic looks at the ground, disappointed.

"Sonic, we'll find another job. I promise you."

"Tails, I know..."

"When will we get a new-"

"Tails? Just... please... don't worry so much..."

"Alright..."

Sonic nodded, and walked over to the couch. "What am I gonna do..."

Tails wrapped his arms around the blue hedgehog. "We will do something about it. I promise."

Sonic sniffed. "Thanks little buddy... I know I can count on you."

"This will prove my answer." Tails kissed Sonic.

Sonic kissed back, feeling better about himself. He pulled away.

"Tails... I love you with all my heart..." Sonic blushes.

"I love you too Sonic."

Right after their "moment", something was heard outside. "What? What happened?" Sonic yelled.

A civilian popped up out of nowhere and yelled, "They're here! They're here!"

"Who's... here..." Sonic thoughts were interrupted by a huge creature with a lot of tentacles appear, and flying minions in the air, followed by some smaller counterparts of the big monster.

"This is going to be a hell of a fight..." Sonic mumbled, so Tails doesn't hear him.

The monster throws projectiles at them and they quickly dodge.

"Where are Knuckles and Shadow at?"  Sonic said in his mind.

Tails flew over to the brain, and hit it with his tails, making it's health go down. Soon after that, another duplicate monster appears out of nowhere, and hits Tails to the ground.

"Tails!" Sonic ran over to him.

"I'm alright... but he won't be..." Tails pointed at the little speck in the sky, and it turns out, it's the eggmobile.

"What's your problem, Eggface?" Sonic yells up at Eggman.

"Nothing really, just trying to destroy the world." He answered back.

"That won't happen!" Sonic curls up into a ball, and tries to hit him, but he is too high up.

"Let's see if you can handle this!" Eggman yells in laughter, proud of what destruction he has caused.
