When It Mattered - Tig
Description: Tig is secretly dating the daughter of one of the gun buyers. Their cover is blown when a buy goes awry.
"Oh, look at all the pretties," I said, glancing over the assault rifles that my father was buying from the Sons of Anarchy.
"Can you please stop talking about assault rifles the same way you talk about shoes?" My father asked.
"But they're shiny," I said, playing dumb. I hated it. I could out shoot any of the guys in the MC, but my dad thinks having his little girl there to make the men feel smart will help him.
"Yeah, well polished," one of the bikers said.
"Russian?" I asked, reaching out to touch one gently.
"Wanna shoot it?" My father asked.
"She's gonna test?" The blonde haired president said. My father nodded and I grabbed one of the guns.
"Here baby, let me," Tig Trager said, walking over to me. We've had a secretive relationship for a few months but because of business no one can know.
"Another step I'll blow your dick off," I said, smiling at him sweetly. He swallowed harshly and stepped back as I moved to the door of the barn.
I pulled the gun up and fired a few times into a tree a few hundred yards down.
"They're nice," I said. "Scopes would be nice."
"Cost more," Jax said.
"I know," I said with a shrug. "Just thought I'd mention it."
I sighed a little as I laid the gun back down.
"They shoot well enough. Some mods would be nice," I said. "I know you sell mods to black."
"What we sell to black ain't none of your business darlin'," Jax said.
"It's fine really," I said.
"I'll handle it (Y/N)," my father spoke harshly. I stepped back to the wall and shut my mouth. I'd done what he needed he had no use for me now that batting my eyelashes wasn't going to work.
I glanced up at Tig who was glaring at my father as he spoke to Jax.
"Look we just want enough to arm our guards," I said. We own a few legit and a few underground businesses that require armed guards. The underground ones require underground weapons too.
"Shut the hell up," my father snapped. He walked over to me and twisted my arm behind my back, causing me to whimper a little at the pain.
"Shut the fuck up or you're not coming back," he whispered harshly.
So my father isn't the nicest guy, but he is crime lord with only a daughter left. My mom died several years back. Things with my father were great until then. That's when he became aggressive and eventually abusive. I stuck around because the pay was good enough. Plus I was terrified he'd have me killed for leaving.
I nodded and he released my arm. I walked out to where our cars were waiting and stood between them. I faintly heard some yelling before someone cleared their throat right behind me.
"You okay baby?" Tig asked.
I nodded as I turned to face him. "Just a little bruise."
"How long this been going on?" He asked.
"Several years."
"I'm so sorry doll," he said. "I should've noticed."
"It's not your fault Tiggy."
"Come back with us. You can't go with him. Please baby." I'd never heard him this desperate before.
"I can't Tig." I looked to the ground, unable to meet his eyes. "I'm all he's got left."
"And he doesn't give a shit about you. You go with him and the second you're not of help he is going to kill you doll. You understand that?"
"And how am I supposed to walk out on family Tig?"
"By walking into another one," he said. "Come with us. We'll be your family. The guys will love you once they know you. None of them want to see you treated like that."
"I know, Tig," I said softly. He pulled me into his arms and I cried for a few seconds. The door to the barn opened and I tried to move away.
"Get your hands off her you perv," someone snapped. One of my fathers hench men.
"Fuck off," Tig and I said simultaneously.
"(Y/N)," my father snapped. I tensed and I knew Tig felt it. "Let's go."
"Why, the buy fall through?"
We were supposed to be here another hour.
"It doesn't fucking matter."
"Yeah it does Dad," I said. He pulled his gun on me and Tig instantly reacted by pulling me behind him and pulling his own gun.
"She's coming with us," Jax said. "Put the guns down."
"She is coming home with me," my father snapped.
"Do you want to do that doll?" Jax asked. "You say the word and we'll take you."
I nodded a little as the guys all looked at me except for Tig. His eyes never left my father.
"Yeah," I said shakily. "Yeah, okay."
"You'll come home with me " my father snapped.
"No because I won't survive the night there," I said. Tig and Happy forced my father to get into his car and to leave.
The second the car was gone Tig wrapped me up in his arms and held me tightly.
"I'm so so so sorry doll," he said. "I should've been there for you."
"You were here when it mattered," I said and pressed my lips to his.
