Safe Again - Juice
Description: When Happy's daughter is found after being missing for seven years, Juice instantly takes a liking to her.
"Morning baby," a soft female voice spoke as I grumbled and opened my eyes. It took them a second to focus but when they did, my smile was immediate.
"Mama Gem," I said.
She nodded and placed her hand on my forehead.
"Baby, how do you feel?" She asked.
"I just wanna sleep," I said.
She nodded again and started to move away.
I curled into the blankets covering me more. "Wait, Gem." She turned to me with her hand on the door. "Can someone hold me?"
"Want your dad baby?" She asked.
"If he's around," I said. She nodded and walked out.
I must've fallen back asleep but when I woke up I was curled into someone's chest and they had their arm around me.
"How ya feeling?" He asked. I didn't recognize the voice, or the face when I looked up at him.
"Okay I guess," I said.
I sat up and wiped my eyes a little, but I couldn't help the groan of pain that escaped my lips.
"You sure?"
"Just sore," I said. "Is there somewhere I can shower?"
He nodded and pointed to the closed door.
"Thanks. I, uh, I'm gonna shower. Have Gem bring me a change of clothes?"
"Yeah," he said. He sat up and moved to the edge of the bed. I smiled at the tattoos on his head, lining either side of his Mohawk.
I didn't say anything as I stood up slowly and moved to the bathroom. I stood in the shower, cleaning myself until the water started running cold.
When I stepped out, I smiled at the sweatpants and hoodie on the counter. I dressed quickly and dried my hair a little before heading to the bedroom. It was empty, the bed now perfectly made.
I walked out of the room and was instantly greeted with dead silence as five sets of eyes landed on me. Gemma was standing at the stove. Her son Jax sat on the couch with the guy who Gemma had enlisted to hold me earlier. On the other couch sat my Uncle Kozik and my dad.
When he saw me he jumped up and ran to me.
"My girl," he muttered.
"Hi Daddy," I said.
"I disposed of them baby. They can never touch you again," he said. I nodded and started to cry into his shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him and sobbed for what felt like hours.
We just stood there as I cried. Uncle Kozik came up to us and placed a hand on Dad's shoulder.
"You're safe again baby girl," he said softly. I sobbed harder into my dad's shoulder.
Eventually, I quit crying. Only because I ran out of tears. Dad led me to the couch and we sat down side by side with Kozik on my other side. Once we were seated I realized my father was crying too.
"It's good to have you back sis," Jax said. Growing up together in the club made us siblings even if we only saw each other occasionally.
"Good to be home," I said softly. Gemma handed me a glass of water and a bowl of soup.
"Eat up baby," she said. "Gotta get your strength back."
I nodded a little and curled up, eating slowly.
"What's your name?" I asked softly, looking at the guy who'd held me as I slept.
"Juice," he said. He had a dorky little smile.
I smiled back at him. "I don't know what I owe Gemma but thank you."
"It's my pleasure. Though I would've liked to know beforehand that you were his daughter."
I laughed softly at that as I looked at my dad. He shook his head a little.
"Koz and I are going to stay with you here while you recover," Dad said.
"Gem's gonna come check on us every once in a while," Kozik added.
"Shouldn't be too long," I said.
"You were missing for seven years. I don't care if we have to stay here for the rest of our lives," Kozik said.
I chuckled a little and looked over at Juice whose eyes hadn't left me all afternoon.
"What's your deal?" I asked softly.
"Still trying to figure out how someone like him created someone like you," Juice said earning a soft giggle and a low growl in return.
"Dad, relax," I said. "I'm gonna go get some rest."
"Want me to hold you again?" Juice offered.
I thought for a second. "Sure."
He followed me to the bedroom and we laid down on the bed together.
"When you get to feeling better I would like to take you out," Juice said.
"Damn kill me before I feel better," I said.
He stared at me.
"My dads the Tacoma Killer and you think I don't have a dark sense of humor. You've got a lot to learn Juicey boy," I said.
He shook his head a little but had that dorky smile on his face again.
"I'd love to go on a date with you. You've gotta ask Dad and Koz first though," I said.
He nodded in agreement, despite being obviously concerned.
