Risking My Old Lady - Happy

Description: Happy leaves Kozik's sister, but can't get over her. When Clay tries to pull her closer to the life, Happy doesn't take it well.

Happy's POV:

"We aren't a damn infantry unit man," Jax yelled.

"You will be, because we're at war," Luis said. The cartel left and the Mayans were off doing their own thing.

"We've got two trained military," Opie said. We all knew that. Tig and Koz were the only ones to ever serve.

"We can get a third," Clay said and all eyes turned to me.

"Hell no," I said.

"I'll call Koz," Jax said. I ran at him and tackled him.

"What part of hell no don't you understand?" I asked, pinning him to the ground with my arm across his throat.

Opie and Bobby grabbed onto my shoulders and pulled me off of him.

"We've got to. She's in the fold and she knows what she's doing," Jax said. "She could help."

"You're not risking my old lady," I said.

"Thought she wasn't yours," Bobby said.

"She ain't," I said turning and walking to the barn before hitting the wall a couple of times.

(Y/N) POV:

I was sitting in the Tacoma clubhouse when Kozik had gotten the call that they needed him back in Charming tonight. He wasn't thrilled but agreed to return for whatever was going to take place.

As he was getting ready to head out, his phone rang again. I wasn't close enough to hear him but he was clearly fighting with whoever was on the other end.

"You're with me," he said as he slammed his hand against the truck.

"What-?"

"I'll explain," he said. "Just get in the damn truck." I nodded and followed my brother into the truck.

When we arrived in Charming that night, my brother went immediately into church and I made myself comfortable at the bar. I drank the beer the prospect had given me slowly. I didn't love that I'd been dragged down here.

Happy and I had been dating, hooking up, something I wasn't quite sure of anymore, but then he transferred and told me he wasn't a feelings guy so he didn't want anything else to do with me. Just thinking about it brought up too many emotions. I took another swallow of the beer. I hated the bitter taste but I'd grown used to it.

"She ain't doing that," Happy yelled. I glanced at the doors of church and they were shut still. Damn he was loud.

"I'm with Happy," Kozik yelled over the chaos.

Something was going down and I had the feeling this involved me. I stood up and walked to the door. The prospect yelled at me that I wasn't allowed. I didn't care. I yanked the doors open and walked in, shutting it behind me.

"I got dragged all the way here from fucking Tacoma. I get a fucking say I'm whatever the hell you all are arguing about me doing."

Jax and Clay both looked at me in shock.

"We need all hands on deck," Jax said. "For an issue with the cartel."

"No." I wasn't getting tied up in their life. "I tried to prospect and you fuckers wouldn't let me. So I'm not saving your asses."

Clay stood up and walked over to me. "Did you forget who we are?"

"I said no."

"You're going to do it."

"Like hell I am," I said. He backhanded me so quick I couldn't react in time to dodge it. I stumbled and went to go after him, but there was already a body between us.

"If you ever raise a hand to her again," Happy said.

"What? You'll kill me? And meet Mayhem?" Clay was so cocky and he knew he had Happy's hands tied.

"Hap, I'm fine," I said, placing my hand on his arm. "Don't risk the patch."

Happy looked down at where our skin connected and followed my arm up to my eyes.

"Are you okay?"

I nodded. "I'm not saving your asses but I'm fine."

"Why don't we call it a night? Been a long day."

I hated the way Clay's voice sounded.

The guys all filed out of church behind me. Happy picked me up and carried me to his dorm.

"I'm sorry."

I glanced up at him as he sat me on the bed.

"You never apologize. Are you dying?"

"No, but I never should've left you."

"You we're having feelings for the first time in like your whole life. I've worked through it."

"I haven't. I can't get over you."

"I didn't say I was over you."

He smirked and kissed me gently. He was worried my face hurt.

"So what are we?"

"You're my old lady."

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"If you'll have me."

I nodded and kissed him again. "Of course I will."
