Meant to Be - Bobby
Description: Bobby and his old lady share their first evening alone in a while.
I hummed along to "Can't Help Falling In Love" as I cleaned up the kitchen. I had made some banana muffins from Bobby's recipe and kind of made a mess of the kitchen.
The front door opened and I peeked around the corner of the door frame that gave me a view of the front door. It was Bobby. I went back to my work as I heard him hanging his kutte up. The club had been finally settling down after a tough patch a few months ago. That meant Bobby had been unusually stressed out recently.
"Darling, so it goes," Bobby sang along as he walked into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around me. "Somethings are meant to be."
"Hello to you too," I said as he spun me to face him and pull me into a hug.
"I love you," he said, kissing my forehead.
"I love you too," I mumbled as I laid my head on his chest.
"What did you make?" He asked as the song ended and the next one began.
"Just some banana muffins," I said. He nodded a little as I finally inched away from him.
"Why don't we have a movie night," he suggested.
I looked at him in shock. "You and me watching a movie together with no interruptions?"
"At least no club interruptions," he said.
"I would love that," I said. "I've gotta finish cleaning up though. Want some coffee or anything?"
"I know where the shit is," he said.
"I know," I said, leaning against the counter. "I just like taking care of my old man."
"How did I get so lucky?" He asked.
"I'm the lucky one," I said, walking back over to him and kissing his lips gently.
"I love you darling," he said.
"I love you too Bobby," I said. I finished up the cleaning of the kitchen and took the muffins out of the oven to cool as Bobby sat at the table and watched me.
"What?" I asked nervously as I turned to look at him.
"Baking and Elvis," he said. "It's almost like you love me or something."
"Gee what would've tipped you off," I responded sarcastically as I sat down at the table with him. He chuckled at me as I rolled my eyes dramatically.
"Should we go find a movie to watch?" I suggested.
"We don't have to watch one," he said.
"So we could watch baking shows," I said, looking up at him hopefully.
"Yeah we can watch baking shows instead," he said.
I smiled as I got up and headed into the living room with Bobby. We sat down on the couch side by side and he grabbed a blanket for me since I'm literally always cold. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he scrolled through Netflix trying to find a baking show.
"How about this," he suggested. I agreed and he started a new episode. As we watched the show my mind wandered. Somehow I wound up thinking about our wedding day.
Bobby held my hands as he recited his vows, having very obviously practiced them.
"And," Chibs prodded. As his best man, it was up to Chibs to make sure Bobby didn't chicken out of the traditional club vows.
"And I promise to treat you as good as my leather," Bobby said.
"And ride you as much as my Harley," the guys joined in. I smiled as I giggled at their antics. I love them all so much.
When our reception rolled around, Bobby and I were ready to party. Eventually we got to the cake cutting, the part I was looking forward to. Bobby had made our cake but I wasn't allowed to know what it was going to look like until now. We walked up to the table and I audibly gasped. There were three tiers with some beautiful piping work. Of course, being a club wedding there were also Harleys and Reapers thrown in but it honestly looked like he had paid someone good money to make it.
"What's got your mind doll?" Bobby asked.
"Just thinking about the wedding," I said, looking up at him as I smiled.
"Best day of my life," he said. He kissed my forehead as I hummed happily.
"Second best day of mine," I said.
"What am I number two to?" He asked, shock and concern filling his voice.
"Nothing, but the day we met was better because it was the day you came into my life in the first place," I said.
"That's a good one but the day we said I do still wins for me," he said. I leaned over and kissed him before settling back into the couch and returning to watching the show.
