Description: Jax and his old lady are going through it and they both cheat on one another before they make up.

I stared up at the door. Jax was going to be home from his run in a few days. I was worried about it. We'd been fighting a lot recently. He was distant and cheating on me and I'd slept with one of my coworkers. Our relationship was crumbling and I wasn't sure how much longer it would last.

A knock on the door had me on my feet grabbing a gun in a second.

"It's me," my coworker Alex yelled. I opened the door and let him into my apartment.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey, I know we didn't have plans but I could really stand to blow off some steam," he said. I rolled my eyes and kissed him. He pushed me back to the wall and started kissing down my neck.

"(Y/N)," Jax yelled. He grabbed on to Alex and threw him up against the far wall, grabbing his knife in a quick and smooth motion.

"Who the hell are you?"

"Jax," I said, grabbing his arm cautiously. "Let him go this is between us."

"Who the hell is he?" Jax asked, glancing at me.

"My coworker," I said.

"(Y/N) is my old lady. You lay your hands on her again and you won't have them." Jax released his grip on Alex and Alex turned to me.

"I'm fine just go," I said. He started to talk and Jax cut him off by grabbing his arm and dragging him out the door.

"What the hell?" I asked as Jax returned to me.

"Why was he here?" Jax was angry.

"Jax," I said, but he cut me off.

"Did you sleep with him?" Jax asked.

I took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah Jax and you have no fucking room to talk. How many times did you sleep with fucking Ima or with Colette?"

"That's different," he said.

"Don't even. I've always hated the what happens on a run stays on a run rule and you know it," I yelled.

"Why the hell would you sleep with him?"

"You cheated on me first Jackson," I said. "You fucking cheated on me and you were being distant and you brought this on us. Every time I tried to fix it you were out the door before the conversation started."

"Because I love you and everyone I love gets hurt," he said, tears forming in his eyes. "If I push you away then at least you're safe even if I'm miserable."

"I don't want you to push me away Jax," I said. "I want you here with me. I know the risks and I chose you anyway because I love you too."

He stared back at me for a second before backing me up to the wall. "I'm going to show you why you should never sleep with another man." The words were basically a growl before his lips met mine.

A few hours later we were laying in bed together. Jax had his arm around my waist as his other hand worked through my hair.

"I'm sorry," I said softly.

"I'd cheat on me too," Jax said.

"You're the only man I care about so we've gotta make this work."

"I'm willing to try." He kissed my head and it fell silent for a few seconds. "I love you (Y/N)."

"I love you too Jackson," I said. I curled closer to him. For the first time in a while I felt like maybe our relationship would work.
