Description: Happy's old lady has to have life saving surgery and she's worried she won't make it.

"I won't let you die," Happy's voice broke into my thoughts. I looked up in the direction of his voice.

"I don't think that how's this works Hap."

He sat down next to my hospital bed and placed his hand on mine. "I am Death baby. I decide how it works."

"Not this time love," I said.

He shook his head. "This surgery is going to save your life."

I shook my head. "Or it could kill me."

"No," he said. "You're going to stay alive. I need you. Audrey needs you."

"I'll try."

"You will. I need to hear it."

"I will Hap."

"You're going to be better after this."

I nodded weakly and he kissed my head.

"Take care of Audrey," I said.

"She's my girl," he said. "So are you. You'll be okay."

"I know Hap. I love you both."

"We love you too."

It was a few minutes later that my surgeons came in and got me.

Happy's POV:

I sat in the waiting room with Kozik for hours. I need to know she was going to be okay.

As the fifth hour passed I glanced up at the clock. Audrey should be waking up from her nap any minute now.

"Call and check on her."

I turned to my brother and just nodded. I dialed Gemma's number. She was the only one (Y/N) trusted enough to watch Audrey while she was in surgery.

"Hi baby. How's it going?" Gemma asked quickly.

"She's still in surgery. No word yet. How's Audrey?"

"The perfect angel. She just got up from a nap. I gave her a bottle. Now she's on her tummy time mat with Thomas laying next to her."

"You'll call-."

"If anything comes up? Yes. The second it happens. Focus on your girl."

"Thanks Gem."

I hung up and leaned back a little in my chair.

"She's gonna be okay," Kozik said softly and I cut a glare at him.

He backed away a little. I had a habit of making people do that and before I had a family I didn't care.

"I know."

"You just don't wanna hear it from me. I get it."

I nodded. I needed her surgery to be over so I knew she was okay.

It was a few hours later, close to 10:00pm, when her doctors came out.

"Mr. Lowman," he said and I jumped up.

"Is she okay?" I asked.

"She's alive. We lost her once on the table but she's alive and the surgery was a success. She's going to make a full recovery," he said.

"Can I see her?" I asked.

"She's going to sleep through the night I'm sure. But you can stay with her."

"Hey man, I'll head to Gemma's," Kozik said. He was going to stay there since Clay was on a run.

"Thanks if anything comes up with Audrey-."

"Call. I know."

I nodded to him and the doctor led me back to (Y/N)'s room. She was still asleep when I walked in so I sat down next to her bed and placed my hand on hers.

She looked perfect. I'd never been happier to hear the obnoxious beeping of a heart monitor.

I closed my eyes and let myself rest since she was safe and back with me.

(Y/N)'s POV:

When I woke up the morning after my surgery, Happy was sitting next to me. I smiled a bit at him as he watched me over a cup of coffee.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too. I told you you weren't dying."

I smirked a little. "I know babe."

"Audrey's safe. Gemma called twenty minutes ago. She's awake slept most the night. Enjoying time with her cousins."

"Thank you."

Before too long the doctors came in and updated me on the surgery as well as that I could go home in a few days.

"When can I have visitors?"

"You want to see your daughter?" He asked. I nodded a bit.

"Tomorrow would probably be a better option than today," he said.

"Okay," I said.

"And Mr. Lowman, you're wife is in good hands."

"I know sir," Hap said.

"He's saying go shower and see Audrey."

"She's in good hands with Gemma," Hap said.

"I know babe, but go check on her. Get lunch at Gems and shower."

He shook his head but I glared at him and he caved.

"I love you," he said before kissing my head.

"I love you too Hap."
