Hot Water - Jax

Description: Jax is picking up his girlfriend at her store for a lockdown when a fight breaks out.

"Have a nice day," I said to the male customer who just picked up an anniversary present for his wife.

He thanked me and went out the doors as Jax stepped up to the counter.

"What can I do for you today Sir?" I asked with a smile.

"Close up shop early and come to the compound," he said. "Lockdown."

"Jax," I sighed. "I can't just close up early."

"I need you though babe."

"Your mother is there," I said. "Put Phil or V-Lin outside and I'll be down when I close up shop."

"Mom's not there," he said. "The feds are looking for her."

"Jesu-."

The customer came running back in with a bloody nose. "Some guy hit me."

"Who?" Jax asked before bolting outside and punching the guy, I think AJ Weston, in the face.

I ran and grabbed an ice pack for the guy.

"Want me to call your wife?"

"Nah, but the police."

I nodded and pulled my cell phone and called Unser who quickly sent David Hale.

"Are you going to be okay?" I asked.

He nodded and Jax came back in.

"He won't be doing that again," Jax said. I handed him the other ice pack I had grabbed as Hale walked in. He took our statements and contact information.

"What happened?" Hale asked.

"We don't know," I said.

"AJ just swung on him," Jax said. "When he came in I booked it out there to give AJ a piece of my mind."

"And your fist," Hale said. "Give me your cell numbers and I'll go out to AJ's."

We gave Hale the two numbers and he left with the customer not far behind.

"Gonna close early now?" Jax asked, taking my hands into his.

"Probably should."

"You're shaking," he said. "Are you up for driving?"

I nodded. He kissed my forehead and placed his hand on my cheek.

"Babe," he said.

"I am okay Jax. Just fried my nerves," I said.

He kissed me gently. "I know. But we'll go to the compound and you can snuggle up with our kid."

"Who has Abel right now?"

I'd left him with Gemma this morning.

"Uncle Tig drew a short straw."

"Oh god. Let's go," I said. I turned the lights off and wrote a quick note apologizing to the customers that I had a family thing come up and needed to leave early. I hung the note with the closed sign and Jax and I headed to the compound.

"Where the hell have you been? You asked me to watch him for ten minutes while you ran to get her. That was two hours ago," Tig was yelling at us as he held Abel.

"The fight on Main Street was AJ Weston assaulting one of my customers," I said as I took Abel from him.

"You're not in hot water doll face. I'm not sure you ever could be," he said. "It's your damn old man."

Tig wrapped his arm around my shoulders and led me inside as Jax was forced to grab our bags from my car.

"Hi Abel," I said, cooing to the boy. He smiled up at me.

"Are you going to be okay doll?" Tig asked.

I nodded and I stood at the bar. I sat Abel down on the bar as Phil asked if I needed anything.

"No, thank you though." I smiled softly and he nodded as Jax walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. He made faces at our son, earning giggles from him.

"You ready to help me with this?" Jax asked softly, holding his newest patch up for me to see.

"President?"

He nodded and I kissed him.

"I'm proud of you baby," I said. He thanked me and kissed my cheek.

"Well darlin' we have some announcements to make," he said before turning to address the crowd in the clubhouse.
