Gotta Sell - Kozik
Description: A girl is out at a bar when her ex shows up. He won't leave her alone so she enlists a total stranger to be her fake boyfriend.
"Fucking hell," I mumbled. "You've gotta be kidding me."
My best friend who I was at this bar with looked in the direction of my ex who was already beelining for us.
"Hey baby," he said.
"Fuck off," I said.
"Is that anyway to treat your boyfriend?"
"Ex. And yes," I said.
"Cmon baby-."
I cut him off. "My boyfriends going to be here any second so I suggest you fuck off."
He wouldn't listen but a group of bikers walked in. They were Sons. I had to wing it and hope for the best. I walked away from him and right up to the three of them.
"Hey can I ask one of you to do me a favor? I'll buy y'all a round or something," I said.
"What could a pretty girl like you possibly want from us?" The blonde one asked.
"I need one of you to pretend to be my boyfriend. The asshole at the bar in the Dodgers jersey is my ex," I said. All three were glaring at him immediately. "But he won't leave me alone and-."
"I've got you," the blonde said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me into his side. I leaned into him a little.
"My name's (Y/N)," I said.
"I'm Kozik, this is Happy and Chibs," the blonde said.
"Thank you so much," I said.
"He's walking this way," Kozik said. He used his arm to turn me slightly and planted a kiss on my lips. We separated and the two guys with us were acting like hooligans. They were cheering and carrying on.
"Excuse us, I'm going to buy my girl a drink," Kozik said. He took my hand and led me up to the bar.
"Kozik, this is my best friend," I said as a way of introducing the two. They started talking a little as we waited for the bartender.
He got us our drinks and the bartender said my ex was telling everyone how he was going to win me back. Perks of drinking here as often as I do: the bartender knows me.
"I'll handle it," I said.
"I've got it babe," Kozik said before kissing my cheek. I looked back at his friends and sure enough they'd been watching us. Kozik walked over to my ex and introduced himself as my new man.
Things were getting tense and luckily the one called Happy stepped in and broke it up. He was way scarier than Kozik was so the second he stepped in, my ex backed off.
"Why don't you two pretty ladies come drink with us?" Kozik asked. We agreed and walked over to the table they had. There were only four chairs and I went to grab another when Kozik pulled me into his lap.
"Gotta sell that you're my girl," he said softly. He kissed my neck before backing away a bit.
We sat there talking for a couple of hours. My best friend was hitting it off with Happy. That surprised me. She's the shy and innocent type. Probably his type.
"Can I get your number?" Kozik asked. I agreed and gave it to him.
"Hey we have to head out soon," my best friend said. I looked at the time on my watch and nodded.
"We'll go close out here soon."
"Here," Kozik said, handing me his card. "You've made tonight entertaining."
"Glad I could be of service," I said. I stood up and swayed a bit. Chibs had been getting us drinks so I hadn't had to move much.
"Maybe I should take care of it," Kozik said I agreed and sat down. He returned a few minutes later with two bottles of water and gave me one and the other to my bestie.
"Drink up."
"How're you two getting home?" Happy asked. At some point my girl had moved into his lap and he was playing with the curls in her hair.
"Walking," I said.
"We'll walk ya," Kozik said. "Probably our fault you got so drunk anyways."
We agreed to let them walk us the couple blocks back to our house. Chibs headed off for home without the other two.
"Can you walk?" Kozik asked. I nodded. I'd learned long ago not to wear heels for this very reason.
Kozik took my hand in his and we headed out. As we walked, there were still obvious division within the group. Happy had his arm around my bestie, talking to her lowly and making her giggle. Kozik was holding my hand and we were talking.
When we reached the house I was kind of sad.
"Roommate side bar. You two don't go anywhere," my bestie said as she grabbed my hand and pulled me a little bit away from them.
"I wanna fuck him," she said.
I laughed but nodded in agreement.
"So we're both?"
"Yeah."
We walked back over to the two men who were smirking at us. I think they'd heard us.
"Do you two wanna come in? I could make some coffee or something," I said.
"That sounds amazing, but I don't think that's what you want," Kozik said.
"You're both far too drunk for that," Happy said.
"We're both adults," my bestie said.
Happy looked down at her as he wrapped his arms around her. I could tell her was trying to talk her down. I looked up at Kozik.
"I want to. It's not that, trust me," he said. "But we want you both to feel safe."
I nodded and leaned into him. "Thanks for walking us home."
"Anytime," he said. "How about we do this again sometime?"
I nodded. "I'd like that a lot."
He leaned down and kissed me, moving to deepen it quickly.
"Are you sure you can't come in?" I asked.
"Not tonight," he said. I nodded and unlocked the door. We said our goodnights and headed into the house. The second the door was shut we both squealed a little in celebration. We watched them walk away through the window.
"Thank you so much for doing that," she said. I laughed at her a little and agreed.
"Tell me you got Happy's number," I said.
She nodded. We celebrated again and laughed at each other a bit.
"I'm going to bed," I said. We headed to our separate bedrooms and I texted Kozik as I got ready for bed.
