Bubble Wrap - Chibs

Description: Unser's daughter and Chibs both like one another and it's obvious to everyone. One day at the clubhouse she gets injured and that night she finally has to own up to her feelings.

"Okay what gives?" My dad asked as he walked up to me. I was sitting on the bar in the clubhouse awaiting the end of this damn meeting.

"I'm just nervous," I said, swinging my legs a little.

"Yeah okay," he said with a chuckle. "And I ain't dying of cancer."

"Don't joke about that dad," I said.

"Talk to me then," he said.

"Just everything with my job and the club and Chibs," I said. I was a secretary for a local law firm until they were forced to close a few weeks ago and since I've been unemployed.

As for Chibs, we both knew we liked one another but neither of us ever made a move based off that despite the tension between us being pretty damn obvious.

"What does that mean?" He asked.

"Nothin'," I said. "Don't worry about it."

"I'm gonna worry about it. You're my daughter," he said.

"Wayne, (Y/N)," Gemma said as she and Nero walked in. I knew my father was in love with her and had let her slip through his fingers in the brief window after Clay went to prison. I personally couldn't stand her but my father loved her. Maybe loving someone and not knowing how to make a move was genetic.

"Hello Gem, Nero," I said, nodding to the two.

"The hell are you doing on the counter?" Nero asked.

"Chairs and barstools are over rated," I said with a shrug and a smile. He chuckled and started talking to my father about Wendy Case, or maybe it was still Teller. I wasn't really sure.

I stared at the doors of the Church the second they opened. Chibs and Jax were the last two out. They both seemed pretty tense.

"Hello lass," Chibs said as he sat down on the barstool next to me.

"Hey," I said.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah," I said, faking a smile.

"Don't lie to me," he said.

"Well I'm still unemployed," I said. "The last two interviews never called me back. Even called to check on em and ya know do the responsible adult shit of thanking them."

His hand moved to my lower back as he stood up and placed himself between my legs. He pulled me into his chest and hugged me tightly.

"It's gonna be alright lass," he said.

I just nodded into his chest as I sniffled my tears away.

"Wanna get outta here?" He suggested. "Go for a ride?"

"Sure," I said. He offered me a hand and helped me off the bar. Unfortunately, I rolled my ankle like the klutz I am.

"Fuck, are you fucking kidding me?" I mumbled as I tensed up and removed all pressure from my ankle.

"Jesus Christ lass," Chibs said as he made me sit down on the bar stool. "I'm gonna buy ya some bubble wrap."

"I need it," I said through the tears that had reappeared in my eyes. I still had a full range of motion so I figured it wasn't too bad.

"Just a sprain from the looks of it but it's gonna hurt for a few," he said. "How about I get ya home and we just order take out and watch a movie?"

I nodded and he helped me back to my feet. He took me home on his bike and all but carried me into the house. He forced me to sit on the couch and ice my ankle while he called to order the Chinese food. I flipped through Netflix as my dog crawled up onto the couch next to me and laid her head on my lap.

I smiled and pet her as Chibs sat down on the other side of me. She barely even looked up at him anymore.

"How's it feelin'?" He asked.

"Much better," I said. He just nodded and I settled on a cooking competition as he rolled his eyes at me.

"So ya can complain about em," he complained.

"Or we can watch something else," I said, knowing of his secret love for cooking shows.

"No, you're injured, you pick," he said. I laid my head on his shoulder and smiled as I started the first episode.

I got lost in my thoughts of Chibs and wasn't even paying attention to the TV.

"What's wrong?" Chibs asked. "He almost cut his finger off and you said nothing."

"Just thinking," I said.

"About," he prodded.

"Us mostly," I said.

"What about us?"

"I like you Chibs, a lot, and I thought I was making that obvious but must be I wasn't. I just wanted you to know on the off chance you like me-." He cut me off with a gentle kiss.

"I do," he said. "I always thought you didn't feel the same."

"I do Chibs," I said.

He leaned over to kiss me again but it ended quick as our dinner arrived.

"Hold this thought for later though," I said as I pulled away so he would go get the food.

Needless to say, I was quite thankful for finally owning up to my feelings and making Chibs mine.
