Abel's Teacher - Jax

Description: You have Abel Teller in your class and his father uses the parent teach conference to hit on you.

"Hello, Mr. Teller," I said, looking up at the biker that had walked into my classroom. I'd seen him in passing when he picked Abel up or dropped him off.

"Hi," he said, walking over. I stood up and shook his hand before offering him a seat. He sat down and looked around anxiously.

"Is anyone else going to be joining us?" I asked. He shook his head and adjusted in his chair.

"No ma'am," he said. "It's just Abel and I."

"So who's he with now?" I asked.

"My mom helps watch him quite a bit," he said.

I nodded a little and grabbed the folder on the desk.

"Mr. Teller," I said.

"Please call me Jax," he said.

"Jax," I corrected as I scanned through the files.

"Abel has had quite the young life," I said.

"Yeah," he said, relaxing a bit. "Major birth defects, being kidnapped, ya know the usual."

He was joking, at least I hoped he was.

"Well, let's just say I'm glad to have Abel in my class," I said. "He's outgoing and adventurous. He's quite the little storyteller."

"Like lies?" Jax questioned.

"No, heavens no," I said. "Abels too respectful for that. He enjoys telling stories and making up scenarios and overall just playing with his classmates."

"That's good," Jax said. "I was worried you were going to tell me he acted too much like me and he was miserable to have in class."

"No, quite the contrary actually," I said. "He does seem to have a girlfriend."

"That's the Teller genes right there," he said with a chuckle. I smiled softly.

"Overall Abel really is a great kid," I said. "His learning and social skills are right where they should be for a kid his age. He has plenty of friends and listens well. I do have one concern. How long has his mother been out of the picture?"

"She signed away her rights when she went to rehab right after he was born," Jax explained.

"So it's just been the two of you for years?" I asked.

"Before he started school I hired a nanny to watch him during the day and my mom has been a huge help but yeah it's mainly just Abel and I."

"Well, keep doing what you're doing," I said.

"Anything else?" Jax asked.

"Not unless you have questions for me," I said.

"Abel doesn't seem to be like messed up because his Mom isn't around, is he?"

"No, like I said, his development is right on par with his classmates, maybe even better than some of the other boys. He willingly plays house and dolls as well as tag or trucks, so you don't need to worry about a thing yet."

"Okay so just one last thing. It is Miss (Y/L/N), correct? As in not married?" He said. I rolled my eyes. I got that question from all single fathers to pass through my class room.

"Yes," I said.

"Would it be inappropriate of me to ask you on a date?" He asked.

"In this current situation, highly," I said.

"But if I saw you at say the grocery store," he suggested.

"You could in theory ask me out then, yes," I said, trying to hide the smile on my face.

"You obviously want to go. I'll see you Saturday at 7:00?" He asked as he stood up. I stood up and went to show him out.

"I'll meet you at the diner," I said. "But this didn't happen here."

"What did happen here?" He asked.

"Precisely," I said. He nodded a little and walked out, leaving me alone with my thoughts of the biker.
