Sonnet XXXV, The Goddess said Amen
Sonnet XXXV: The Goddess said Amen

She empties heaven's life into the storm,
The gods' own mortality ― now in men;
Their love of grief, they know erotic form,
A mortal plight, the goddess says amen.
When lotus flowers bloom, the gods are flesh
In rampant hate and gross vulgarities.
The gods are curbed and suffer mortal death.
A grass root wish, the death of deities.
The price is not enough; men disobeyed,
Dislike until the end of time foresaw,
Men do bleed an idol's air; the gods fade,
A society grieves, they kill with awe.
Forever, humans seek forgiveness, lone,
And willful, humans lay in ruin and prone.
