Sonica woke up with an immense migraine as she rubbed her eyes before taking her hand away from her eyes and saw that her hand was human-like as she looked in the mirror.

And to her surprise, she was a human girl in athlete clothes, but she still had her bandana around her neck as well as her long blue hair stayed in the high ponytail as well as her red shoes she still had including her hedgehog ears which twitched to make sure that they were real.

She let out a sigh of relief and then realized that Shadow went into the portal with her and thought that if Shadow was alright.

"Shadow.." She whispered as the door opened to reveal a woman, seemingly in her twenties, walking up to her and held out a sandwich and water for Sonica.

"Thanks." She said as she slowly bit into her sandwich as the woman left the room so Sonica could change into much comfortable clothing. When the blue heroine finished eating she saw  a Japanese unattached sleeves uniform  with a blue and white skirt and loose socks.

She got dressed into the clothes and looked into the mirror and smiled at her new look and suddenly thought of Shadow again. "Shadow, please be okay." She whispered as the sound of a cat meowing caught her attention, a gray cat purred and rubbed against Sonica's leg as Sonica rubbed the cat's ears which earned more purrs.

"Well, I better find Shadow and try to get home." She said as she walked down the hall way but stopping when she heard a growl from behind her as she turned around to see a gargoyle-like dog snarling at her as she dashed away in a blue light and she hid somewhere until she was faced to the gargoyle again as she took a battle stance. The gargoyle started barking at her as she spun into a blue blur and spun around it making it dizzy and fall down as she smiled and sped away.

She ran into a red gargoyle as she got into another stance as he raised his hands in defense. "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! Friendly here!" He shouted as she scoffed. "Like I would believe that." She said as she ran passed by him in a blue blur.

"Who is she anyways?" He asked as he walked down the hallway.

Sonica ran down the hallways, getting herself lost only to run into to the wall, she wasn't looking where she was going as she wobbled away from the wall and bumped into someone as she looked up and saw the same woman that helped her from before.

"Sorry for bumping into you," she apologized to the woman, "I guess that when you enter a castle, it's like a giant maze." She said as another gargoyle came, it was a blueish gray one and Sonica went into a battle stance.

"Whoa! Wait! He's a friend." The woman said as Sonica calmed down and sheepishly rubbed the back of her head.

"Sorry about the outburst earlier, I guess that I'm not used to seeing other creatures before when you live on a small island." She said as the gargoyle dg and red gargoyle came out from the hallway.

Her face paled when she saw the other two and apologized for the sudden speed run as they talked about the gargoyle clan and how they protect the world.

They introduced each other.

"I'm Brooklyn," said the red one.

"Lexington." Said the yellow one.

"Hudson." Said the elder.

"Broadway." Said the blueish gray one.

"This is Bronx." Said Brooklyn as Sonica rubbed his belly.

The leader came in and introduced himself.

"Goliath." He said wanting to trust her by sensing her aura.

"Elisa Maza, Detective." She said as she pulled out her badge. Sonica rubbed the bottom of her nose before smirking.

"I'm Sonica, Sonica the Hedgehog."
