The Master Emerald glowing bright. Then they saw two figures coming out of it.

Sonic/Knuckles: Hey, that's Chris.

Y/n/Chaos: And Helen.

Chris: It worked. I did it. I actually did it.

Helen: You did. This is so great.

Chris/Helen: Sonic/Y/n!

They tripped as they now realize they weren't teenagers anymore, but the little kids they were all that time ago, making their clothes look bigger.

Chris: What's going on? What's with our clothes? Did we shrink or something?

Helen: Could this be a side affect of your machine?

Tails walked over to them.

Tails: Great to see you two again.

Chris: Tails, it's you.

Cream and Amy followed after.

Cream: We really missed you both.

Amy: It's about time you showed up.

Chris: Hey, Amy.

Helen: Cream, it's you.

Helen and Cream hugged tight as Knuckles also jumped in.

Knuckles: It's good to see you!

Spark: Great to have you back.

The only ones not welcoming them were Sonic, Y/n, Chaos, Star, and Cosmo.

Cosmo: Sonic, Y/n, who are those two?

Star: Are they friends of yours?

Y/n: Yes. In fact, really good ones.

Chris: Ah, hi, Sonic and Y/n.

Sonic: How you doing, pal.

Helen: You two haven't changed the bit.

Y/n: We could say the same for you two.

Chris: I can't believe we're really here. It's been a long time coming.

Sonic: I knew you'd get here sooner or later, buddy.

Y/n: If it wasn't me, I knew it would have to be you.

Chris: Well, about what Helen said. None of you have changed.

Helen looked at Star and Cosmo.

Helen: The group has actually seemed to have changed a little bit. Who are these two?

Y/n: The yellow one is Star, and the green one is Cosmo.

Star: (slight bow) It is a pleasure to meet you both.

Helen: (bowing) The pleasure is all ours.

Sonic: So, what's with the baggy clothes? Is that a new style?

Chris: No, we don't know what's going on.

Sonic suddenly fainted without warning.

Chris: Sonic!

Amy: Sonic, what's wrong?!

Knuckles: Say something!

Y/n knelt down to him and checked his pulse.

Y/n: He still has a pulse, but it seems that he collapse from exhaustion.

Knuckles: Yeah, I guess he still has to recover from that battle.

Chris: Sonic got injured in a battle?

Helen: (sigh) We just wanted to see our friends and this has to happen.

Later.

Everyone except Star was waiting in Cream and Y/n's living room, then Star came from upstairs.

Star: He's fine. I've healed him with my abilities, but his bodies gonna have to do the rest of the job itself.

Chris: What even happened?

Y/n: Let's just say, you didn't exactly pick a good time to visit.

Cosmo: Your friend is Sonic was fighting against a Metarex.

Amy: A Metarex?

Cosmo: I don't know how many there are, but they've been attacking planets all over the Galaxy. Their goal is to unify all the planets under one absolute rule.

Knuckles: Let me guess, their rule.

Cosmo: That's right. They've already extinguished so many planets.

Amy: What do you mean, "extinguished"?

Cosmo: The Metarex don't just conquer planets, they take the Planet eggs.

Knuckles: The what?

Cosmo: The planet eggs are like the hearts of planets. Without them, planets lose their power to nurture and sustain life. They become just cold, barren rocks drifting through space. And now that they've taken your planet egg, your world will soon wither away just like the others have.

Amy: Our planet will die?

Cosmo: That's right.

Star: I know that's not the words you wanted to hear, but it's the truth.

Knuckles: Excuse my asking, but how do we know neither of you are on their side?

Cosmo: Because we're not! The Metarex are vicious and they'll wipe out anything that gets in their way. We are not with them, you have to believe me.

Knuckles: I wish I could.

Chaos: Yeah. How do you expect us to trust two strangers that we just met?

Chris: At least let's hear them out.

Cosmo: We came here so what happened to us might not happen to you. Our planet is gone.

Star: And so is our Clan.

Cosmo: Everything!

Cosmo hid her face in her hands as she cried and Star looked away to hide her tears. Y/n felt bad for the two of them as he was once in there position. He walked over to Star and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Y/n: Hey, it's okay. If you need our help, we'll help anyway we can.

Star looked at him and wiped her tears.

Star: Thank you.

Chris, Helen, Amy and Tails left the room to talk.

Chris: They seem to have calmed down a bit. They'll be okay.

Amy: I can't believe Knuckles and Chaos were giving those poor things such a hard time.

Helen: At least Y/n was able to ease the situation.

Tails: I still can't believe you build a teleporting machine in only 6 months, Chris.

Chris: Only six months?! No wonder you all look exactly as we remember you.

Helen: I guess time moves differently here.

Tails: Chris and Helen are acting kind of funny, Amy.

Amy: Don't forget, they're humans.

Chris: Back home, it's been six years since we saw you.

Tails: If it's been six years, how come you still look the same?

Chris: I'm just as confused as you are, Tails.

Helen: Maybe the side effects of the teleportation is that it made our bodies match the time that this world went by.

Tails: That does sound like the most logical thing.

Amy: We'll figure it out.

They went to Sonic's room to see he wasn't there

Amy: Sonic's gone!

Tails: Oh, no!

They noticed the window was opened.

Chris: He must have gone out the window.

Tails: Honestly, what is with it with people jumping out this window?

Amy: He doesn't even say, "goodbye"!

Helen: I see you're still hooked on Sonic.

Tails: That's Sonic for you. No matter what, he just takes off. He can't even stay still when he's passed out.

Chris: I'm just glad he's okay.

With Y/n, Chaos, Star, Cosmo and Spark.

Spark: So, let us have a more formal introduction.

Star: Okay. I'm Star. Head of the Seedrian Clan. This is my sister.

Cosmo: I am Cosmo, sir.

Spark: I'm Spark. This is my nephew.

Y/n: I am Y/n. The 28th and current head of the Thunderhog Clan. This is my partner.

Chaos: I am Chaos. I serve as Lord Y/n's partner, tenant, and overall friend.

Y/n: So, about this Metarex business. What exactly do you want us to do?

Star: We hear you can use the full power of the Chaos Emeralds. We figured that could give us an edge.

Y/n: It probably would. But unfortunately, Sonic scattered them throughout the Universe.

Star: I know that part.

Y/n: However, we might be able to get them back. Me and Tails are good with inventions. I'm sure we can make something to go into space.

Star: Would he do it?

Y/n: Yeah. Tails is always willing to help someone.

Later.

Vanilla brought Chris and Helen some of their old clothes.

Vanilla: These should fit a little better. They're like your old clothes, aren't they?

Chris: They sure are. Thanks.

Helen: Hey, I couldn't help but notice that you're wearing the scarf that Y/n usually wore.

Vanilla: Yes. He gave it to me a little while after I adopted him.

With Cosmo and Star.

They both stepped out of the house in the yard where Cream and Cheese were playing.

Cosmo: Such a pretty place.

Cream: I'm glad you like it. My planet's great. Maybe you two can learn to love it here.

Cosmo: Maybe.

Star: So, Cream. That's your name, right?

Cream: Yes.

Star: You do know the condition your planet is in now, right?

Cosmo: If we don't get the planet back...

Cream: We will! We've got Sonic and my big brother on our side. They'll make everything okay.

Cheese: Chao, chao!

Cosmo: But Cream. Sonic and Y/n aren't strong without the Chaos Emeralds.

Star: I'm going to have to disagree with you on that, dear sister. Y/n was able to put up a decent fight against that Metarex. And even sever some limbs.

Sonic ran by at that moment.

Sonic: If you're concern is the Chaos Emeralds, then I guess we'll just have to go find them.

Cosmo: I wish you had them now.

Star: Sending them away really wasn't a smart move.

Sonic: Maybe there was something I could have done instead of sending the Chaos Emeralds away, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Y/n with Chaos walked outside where they were.

Y/n: Did you think it was a better idea than getting me to help?

Sonic: That definitely wasn't something I was thinking about.

Chaos: Sometimes I just consider beating the living hell out of you, Sonic.

Sonic: At least he didn't get them.

The others walked out too.

Tails: You must have been pretty wiped out after fighting that thing.

Sonic: I was. When I transformed into Super Sonic, I thought it'd be a cinch, but boy was I wrong.

Cosmo: Sonic, listen. The Metarex are extremely powerful. They've traveled through space and taking every egg from every planet they've encountered.

Star: And prove of that was that even though it was four on one, we weren't able to stop that one Metarex from taking your planet egg.

Sonic: There's nothing to worry about. As long as Sonic's on the scene, Cosmo, we'll get all the planet eggs back.

Y/n: And we'll stop the Metarex from taking anymore. You have my word on that, Lady Star.

Amy: A dangerous quest in outer space. Could anything be more romantic?

Y/n: I could think of at least three.

Cream: Cheese and I wouldn't miss an adventure like this!

Tails: You can count me in, guys.

Chris: I want to go, too. I've been waiting s years to have another adventure with you.

Helen: Same here.

Sonic: Great. Then it's settled. We're going into outer space!

Later.

The gang was now in Tails workshop.

Chris: Tails, to go into space. Won't we need a spaceship?

Tails: Ta-da.

Tails turned on the light and showed a really big ship.

Cream/Amy: It's so big.

Y/n: This is what you've been working on for the past few months?

Tails: Yeah. It's a multi-purpose, fully mobile flying fortress. I call it, "The Blue Typhoon." And with a few quick adjustments, it can even fly into space. Only...

Chris: Only what?

Tails: I was planning on using the Chaos Emeralds as the power source. Now what are we going to use?

Y/n: I could strike the engine with lightning to charge it up. Of course then, I'd have to stay in the engine room the entire time.

Chris: Oh, I know what we can use.

With Knuckles.

Knuckles was walking out of the forest.

Knuckles: I shouldn't have told that batty Rouge anything.

When he got to his shrine, he saw the Master Emerald wasn't there anymore.

Knuckles: Oh, no! The Master Emerald's gone!

With the others.

Tails, Chris, Y/n, Sonic and Chaos were installing the Master Emerald in the Blue Typhoon.

Tails: The readings look good, Chris.

Chris: the Master Emerald ought to give us enough power to go Interstellar.

Y/n: I'm starting to wonder if taking it from Knuckles without asking him was the best idea.

Chaos: it should be fine. You left a note after all.

Knuckles came running in.

Knuckles: What's the idea?!

Sonic: We're gonna borrow your Master Emerald for a little while.

Y/n: I left a note for a reason.

Knuckles: No way! It goes back where it was!

Amy: But we need it to go into outer space.

Knuckles: Outer space?

Cosmo: We have to find the seven Chaos Emeralds so we have enough power to beat the Metarex.

Cream: we're going to travel across the Galaxy, and fight Metarex, and safe planets! Doesn't it sound like the best adventure ever?

Knuckles: It sounds just peachy. Now give me back that Emerald, Sonic! Or I'll come up there and take it!

Cream: Listen to you, you should be ashamed!

Cosmo: The fate of the entire galaxy is at stake.

Star: Y/n told me you could be stingy at times, but I didn't think you'd be this stingy!

Helen: You're acting so selfish right now, Knuckles!

Amy: If you won't listen to reason.

Amy got out her hammer.

Amy: maybe I could knock some reason into you. It'd be a pleasure.

Knuckles: Hey, let's calm down. Sonic, Y/n, please help me!

Sonic: I'd like to, but I don't get involved in fights I can't win.

Y/n: Sorry, Knuckles. You got yourself into this one, buddy.

They all started to work together to build up the Blue Typhoon. Leaving Tails and Chris to talk alone.

Tails: Chris, I'm sorry our planet got invaded right when you and Helen came to visit us.

Chris: Are you kidding? Don't be! I haven't been this excited in years and now that me and Helen are older, we could be of some use to you guys. So, is the initial take off sequence ready? Prepare to activate the Master Emerald.

Tails: This reminds me of our times back in Station Square.

Y/n and Helen also got to talk alone.

Y/n: Helen, are you sure you're okay with going on this adventure?

Helen: Yeah. I've been working on my leg strength since you left like you told me to, and even in this young state I think they're pretty powerful.

Y/n: Okay, I'll trust you. But I do have a question. If Chris had all those other friends, why did he only bring you?

Helen: Because I was the closest to him at the time.

Y/n: Why?

Helen: Well, (blushing) it's because we're... dating.

Y/n stared at Helen blankly for a moment.

Y/n: Please, tell me I heard that wrong.

Chaos: No, she really said that she was with Chris.

Helen: Y/n, please! Don't hurt him! He didn't do anything wrong!

Y/n: (sigh) I'm not gonna hurt him, but I will have a little talk with him later.

With Amy, Cream and Cheese.

The three of them were carrying bags of food and other things.

Amy: This should be the last of the supplies we have to haul from home. Of course now, we'll have to load everything onto the ship.

Cream: I can hardly believe it. Pretty soon we'll be taking off and speeding-

She stopped when she saw Cosmo and Star and walked over to them.

Cream: Hi, Cosmo. Hi, Star. Would you mind helping us carry these down hill, please.

Cosmo: Oh, okay.

Star: I'd be happy to.

Star took a set of bags, while Cosmo struggled to pick up her's..

Cream: Cosmo, are you sure you can handle it?

Cosmo: I got it.

When Cosmo finally picked up her bag, she rolled down the hill.

Cream: She doesn't have it!

Star summoned some roots to stop her sister from falling.

Star: You okay down there, sis?

Cosmo: I'm okay!

Y/n ran up to them.

Y/n: What happened here?

Cream: Cosmo fell from the hill.

Star brought Cosmo back up.

Star: Luckily I was able to spawn that root in time. I told you not to overwork yourself, Cosmo.

Cosmo: I'm sorry.

Y/n: Cream, you understand the danger that comes with this mission, right?

Cream: I do. I could end up dead if I make the wrong move, but I need to help you all.

Cheese: Chao!

Cream: So, don't even try to talk me out of it.

Y/n: I'm not here to talk you out of coming with us. You can come, but only on a few conditions.

Cream: What?

Y/n: Chaos, switch bracelets.

Chaos: As you wish.

Chaos switched from Y/n's left bracelet to his right. Then Y/n took off his left bracelet and gave it to Cream.

Y/n: Take this. Put it on. And when the time comes, use it.

Cream: But this is one of your father's bracelets.

Y/n: I know. But you're my apprentice, friend, and overall sister. I can't allow anything to hurt you.

Cream put the bracelet on her wrist.

Cream: It fits perfectly!

Star smiled and even blushed a little at the sight.

???: Hey!

They saw Spark run up to them with some bags.

Y/n: Uncle, what are you doing here?

Spark: I'm going into space with you, Y/n.

Y/n: I thought you said space travel was a young man's game.

Spark: I did, and I still stand by it, but another thing I stand by is that family should stick together.

Star: I really like that.

A shadow loomed over them and they looked up to see another Metarex.

Cosmo: A Metarex.

Y/n: You guys get the supplies, me and Chaos will handle it.

He ran off and found the Metarex fighting Knuckles and Sonic.

Knuckles: I don't think we're gonna stop that thing this way!

Sonic: You're right, but we gotta try!

The Metarex ran at them with a big, yellow dagger in its hand.

Metarex: It is futile for you to oppose us. You are never going to leave this planet alive.

Y/n: We'll see about that.

Chaos incised both of Y/n's arms and the fight continued.

With Tails and Chris.

The two of them were watching the battle from the Blue Typhoon's cockpit.

Chris: There's no time. What's our status?

Tails checked the settings.

Tails: I still have a few adjustments to make, but we can work on those in the air. So, I guess we're ready.

Chris: Let's go.

They both nodded and send the message to everyone.

With Amy and her group.

Amy was talking to Tails through a watch

Amy: You're ready? We're leaving now?

Tails: Soon, but we have to activate the Master Emerald first. But we need Knuckles. Would you mind finding him for me?

Amy hung up.

Amy: The time's almost here. Cream, go find Knuckles and tell him Tails needs him on the ship. Cosmo, Star and Spark, you come with me and help me get the supplies aboard.

Cosmo: What's going on?

Amy: Tails is almost ready to power up his new ship and he needs Knuckles to activate the Master Emerald.

With Sonic, Y/n, Chaos and Knuckles.

The fight with the Metarex was going on with Sonic dodging its attacks.

Sonic: Up here!

Sonic jumped on to the highest tree and the Metarex was about to shoot him with lasers, but Knuckles and Y/n knocked it down.

Knuckles: Hey, I think we finally stopped him.

Y/n: I wouldn't be too sure of that.

The Metarex got up and showed the holes on its chest that had missiles in them.

Sonic: I don't think so.

The Metarex shot the missiles that were heading right for the Blue Typhoon, but Y/n quickly ran after them and got in the way.

Y/n/Chaos: Chaos Whip Barricade!

Y/n used Chaos's whips to deflect the missiles mid-air.

Y/n: That was close.

The Metarex shot lasers at the Blue Typhoon, but they fortunately missed.

Y/n: We'll show you to mess with our ship, you son of a bitch.

Knuckles and Sonic ran around the Metarex, making a pit fall where it was standing.

Knuckles: Happy landing, pal.

???: Knuckles!

Cream flew over to Knuckles.

Cream: Tails needs you on the ship! He plans to beat the Metarex!

Knuckles: I just did!

The Metarex jumped out of the hole and attempted to slash Knuckles, but Y/n destroyed the dagger while Sonic knocked the Metarex down.

Sonic: Go on, Knuckles! We got this guy.

Y/n: If Tails has a way to beat this thing, we need to use it.

On the Blue Typhoon.

Amy, here group and Helen just finished hauling the supplies.

Amy: That should be the last one.

Helen: Now, we wait.

In the cockpit.

Tails was messing with some buttons.

Tails: The main engine's ready. Connecting to the Master Emerald! You copy?

Chris was in the the main engine room.

Chris: Main engine now connected to the Master Emerald!

The Master Emerald began to glow as Knuckles chanted.

Knuckles: The seven Chaos Emeralds are the servers. Our hearts intensify their power. The controller serves to unify the Chaos. We need you're a great power to find the Chaos Emeralds!

Chris: Ignition!

Chris pulled a switch that turned on the engine.

Chris: Okay, the engine's fired up!

With the two hedgehogs.

They were fighting toe to toe with the Metarex, but couldn't do any serious damage.

Y/n: None of this is working!

Sonic: Hurry it up, guys!

The ground began to shake as the Blue Typhoon was starting to charge up.

Tails: The acceleration thruster's almost charged!

It finished charging.

Tails: Take off time!

The Blue Typhoon broke out of the ground and began to take flight.

Metarex: You are doomed.

The Metarex shot more missiles at the Blue Typhoon.

Sonic: Great.

Sonic and Y/n along with Chaos went after the missiles, destroyed them, and landed on the Blue Typhoon.

Sonic: It's been fun, but we have to be running along now.

Y/n: I'd say it was nice knowing you, but we both know that be a lie.

In the engine room.

Knuckles: Master Emerald, we need you! Release the power of chaos to us!

Chris: We're almost there. 80. 90. 95. The chambers energy supplie is at full capacity.

The Metarex flew towards them.

Tails: Sonic, Y/n, we're gonna use the main Cannon! Stand by!

Y/n: Chaos, get inside the ship. This could be dangerous for you.

Chaos: Yes, Lord Y/n.

Chaos left his bracelet and went inside the ship. Then Y/n and Sonic ran inside the cannon and jumped onto a platform.

Chris: Sequence complete! Sonic, Y/n, do your thing.

Sonic: Here it goes.

Sonic got into a Spindash and Y/n was about to do the same when he quickly remembered something his father told him.

F/n: Remember, Y/n. As inventors we need to be creative. It may seem silly, but a little bit of creativity could be the thing that changes the world. It even correlates well with our lightning techniques. Our Clan created them using their creativity. And if you're creative, not only will you be a good inventor, you may also create a new technique.

Young Y/n: I'll keep that in mind, Father.

Y/n then expelled a lot of lightning from his body to surround him as he got into his Spindash. Then more lightning shot onto the both of them.

In the supplie room.

Spark: I've double checked, and we have everything we need for this trip and more.

Chris: (Over intercom: Attention everyone, brace yourselves!)

The Metarex stopped in front of the Blue Typhoon and got ready to attack it.

Tails: Target Metarex dead ahead!

Tails locked the cannon onto it.

The Metarex shot missiles at them when the three powerers shouted.

Tails/Chris/Knuckles: Lightning Sonic Power Cannon, Fire!

Sonic and Y/n were shot out of the cannon. Sonic came out with lightning ball surrounding him. While Y/n came out inside a dragon made of pure lightning that with Sonic shot right through the missiles and the Metarex, destroying it completely. When Sonic and Y/n got out of their spin, they started falling and Chris got into a little plane to catch the.

Chris: I gotcha!

Sonic: Thanks, pal!

Y/n: Now you can say you saved me for real!

Chris: Mission accomplished!

Tails: An excellent catch, guys! And Y/n, that lightning dragon was astounding!

Chaos: That's my partner for you.

Tails: Now, get ready. Retracting main Cannon! Rerouting energy to the main engine! Forward wings, deployed. All right, Blue Typhoon. Here we go.

They started to fully take off.

In the storage room.

Amy: Let's go to the bridge.

They all went to the bridge where everyone else was.

Amy: Hey!

Cream: What a beautiful view. I've always wanted to know what our planet looks like from this high up.

Sonic scratched his head and he pull something out of his quills.

Sonic: I wonder what this is?

Tails: You wonder what what is?

Sonic: This thing on my head.

Y/n took it out of his hand and then crushed it.

Y/n: We've been bugged. I'm sure it was that bastard, Dr. Robotnik.

Sonic: Take it easy. If he follows us, I'm sure we can handle him.

Y/n: You're right.

Cream went over to Y/n.

Cream: Big brother, Mother wanted me to give this to you.

She pulled out Y/n's scarf.

Y/n: The scarf?

Cream: She said that you better come back to give it back to her.

Y/n: That reminds me.

Y/n took the scarf, put it on, and stood on the highest point of the bridge.

Y/n: Listen up, everyone! All of us are embarking on a long, dangerous Journey. I can't guarantee everyone's safety, but if we do all survive, we will be richly rewarded with the safety of the Galaxy. So, I just have one question to ask. Are you with me?

Everyone: Yes!!!

Y/n: Then let's go!

And with that, they left into space.
