At Chris' school.

Danny, Francis and Helen were playing basketball with Mr. Stewart talking to his watch in the near distance.

Mr. Stewart: This is Chalkboard Charlie calling Homeroom. Christopher Thorndyke is still absent from school.

The kids dropped the ball which went near Mr. Stewart's feet.

Danny: Get the ball, Francis!

Francis: Mr. Stewart, can you throw me the ball, please?

Mr. Stewart picked up the ball.

Danny: Hey, Mr. Stewart, why don't you come play?

Mr. Stewart: Uh, me?

Francis: Yeah, it'll be fun!

Mr. Stewart: All right.

He ran to the net and scored a slam dunk.

Danny: Nothing but net! That was an awesome shot Mr. Stewart!

Mr. Stewart: Well, I was an alternate on the practice squad back in college.

Helen giggled.

Mr. Stewart: Did I say something funny, Helen?

Helen: I was just thinking that I'm happy we got you as our teacher.

Mr. Stewart: Really?

Danny: We weren't sure about you at first, but you're cool!

Mr. Stewart: Thanks, Danny.

Helen: Though, you're not as cool as Y/n.

Mr. Stewart: Fair enough.

At Tails' workshop.

Chris was there all alone.

Chris: I thought Tails, Y/n and Sonic would be here in the workshop. Wonder where they are. Maybe they took the X-Tornado out and I guess I just missed them. I can't wait to show them what I've got. Sonic and Y/n are going to be proud of me when they see that I found a Chaos Emerald!

Sonic and Tails were walking through Mystic Ruins until they saw Knuckles.

Tails: It's Knuckles!

Knuckles was standing over an unconscious Eggman.

Sonic: Eggman. What did you do to him?

Knuckles: Nothing. I found him this way.

Tails poked him with a stick which made Eggman woke up.

Tails: Whoa! He's alive!

Eggman: Of course I am!

Sonic: What happened?

Eggman: Chaos turned against me!

Sonic: How come?

Eggman: Because it wants to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds all for itself.

Knuckles: Tell us where Chaos is or else!

Sonic: Take it easy, Knuckles.

Eggman: How dare you threaten me? Who do you think you are? Y/n? I'd love to teach you a lesson, but unfortunately, I have to fly.

He started to go up in the air.

Tails: He's getting away!

Decoe and Bocoe were the ones pulling him up.

Decoe: Okay, start reeling him up.

Bocoe: The winch is jammed.

Decoe: We can pull him up ourselves.

Bocoe: No way. All that weight will burn out our motors.

Eggman: Don't just leave me hanging here like a salami!

Decoe: Try not to get agitated. The cable could break.

Bocoe: Just enjoy the ride.

Eggman: There's no time to lose. My plans for world domination depend on Chaos. We have to track down that renegade right away.

Decoe: Roger!

Eggman screamed as Decoe and Bocoe pulled him away.

Knuckles: If Eggman was telling the truth, we have to find Chaos fast and stop it! The second it gets hold of all seven Chaos Emeralds, it'll become too powerful to defeat!

Sonic: You're right.

Sonic and Knuckles were being consumed by a white light.

Sonic: What's going on here?

They were back at the young age Mystic Ruin.

Knuckles: Quiet. I've been here before. We're back in the past.

A bunch of echidnas were in front of the shrine of the Master Emerald and Tikal along with a few Chao were guarding it.

Tikal's father: Tikal, the clan needs those seven Emeralds. It is the only way to protect ourselves from our enemies.

Tikal: But taking the Emeralds isn't the way! Please stop! You'll regret it forever!

Tikal: The clan has made its choice and well seize the Emeralds now! Warriors, attack!

They all charged at the shrine.

Tikal: Stop it!

Lightning struck in front of them and Storm jumped out of nowhere.

Tikal: Storm!

Tikal's father: What business do you have here, Thunderhog?

Storm: If you want these Emeralds, you're going to have to go through me.

He started to fight them off and was able to knock a few out, but they got the better of him and made it to the Master Emerald's Altar where The seven Chaos Emeralds appeared around the Master Emerald and Chaos formed out of nowhere.

Tikal's father: What is this thing?

A white light consumed the area and all the echidnas disappeared.

Knuckles: They're gone. All of them!

Sonic: Not all.

He ran to Tikal and Storm who didn't disappear.

Sonic: Are you two okay?

They both woke up.

Tikal: I knew this would end in disaster. Why, Father? Why didn't you listen to me?

Storm: Damn. I was too weak to stop them.

Tikal: This wasn't your fault, Storm.

They started to get up and walk to the altar.

Sonic: Hey, hold on!

Sonic and Knuckles followed them up the stairs.

Tikal: You must understand. The servers are the seven Chaos. Our hearts intensify their power. The controller serves to unify the Chaos. The seven Chaos Emeralds take what it is in our hearts and turn it into power. But if the heart that wields the Emeralds is full of nothing but anger and fear, then that power will bring pain and destruction to the world. Oh, please! You must stop, Chaos!

Storm: If you want something to make you stop this, then I'll be your offering.

Tikal: No, Storm. Live a happy life, forget about me and this war.

Storm: Tikal.

A bright light appeared again and both Sonic and Knuckles returned to Tails.

Knuckles: They're gone.

Sonic: Knuckles. Did you understand what that Tikal girl meant about Chaos?

Knuckles: We have to stop Chaos from getting hold of the last Emerald.

???: Hey, you guys, look!

They saw Chris running towards them with the white Chaos Emerald in his hand, but before  he could get closer to them he got into a water vortex.

Sonic: Chris.

Sonic jumped in the vortex after him and grabbed his wrist.

Sonic: Hold tight, buddy!

Chris let go of the Emerald.

Knuckles: Just hang on!

Knuckles kicked the vortex and the air force caused it to evaporate, but the Emerald fell into a crack that shut as soon as the Emerald got in there.

Knuckles: So, Chaos has all seven Emeralds now.

Chris: I'm sorry, Knuckles. It's all my fault.

Knuckles: That creature is more powerful than all of us. It can't be stopped.

Sonic: (growls) But we have to try.

In Station Square.

It was just a normal day until the sewers exploded, water came from the ground and buildings which caused a flood and Chaos came from the water revealing his gaint monstrous form.

At the white house.

The President was watching the News.

Scarlet: Station Square is flooded! We don't know the exact cause of the disaster yet, but eyewitnesses reported that something went horribly wrong in the city's water system. As you can see, there's complete devastation- Oh, my. There's something down there! It appears to be some kind of monster!

The President and his woman aide was on the phone with some men on the phone

Man: A counterattack is impossible! Our missile launchers were caught in the flood!

Woman: What about fighter jets? How many do we have in the area?

President: Throw everything we've got at it! As commander-in-chief, I authorize you to do whatever it takes to stop that thing!

The President hung up and then released something.

President: Hey, I just remembered we have something even more reliable than fighter jets.

At the Thorndyke's.

Scarlet was on their TV which was being watched by Cream, Cheese, Ella and Y/n.

Scarlet: Much of the city is now in ruins! The only good news is that nobody has been seriously hurt. But the monster is still attacking us!

Cheese: Chao! Chao! Chao!

Cream: What are you trying to say, Cheese?

Cheese: Chao! Chao! Chao! Chao!

Ella: Don't worry, that flood won't hurt you.

Cream: Right. We're going up to the mountains where it's safe.

Y/n: Not me, I'm afraid. If this is Chaos, I need to stay here and deal with him.

Chuck walked in.

Chuck: What are you waiting for? We have to get out of here fast!

Ella: But we can't go yet because Mr. Chris still hasn't come back home.

Chuck: Where is he?

Back with Chris.

Chris and Tails were flying in the X-Tornado

Chris: We've gotta stop Chaos somehow! Faster, we don't have much time!

Tails: Better hang on!

Sonic was running back to Station Square.

Sonic: If I don't get back to the city fast, there won't be anything left to save!

Scarlet: The monster is downtown, leaving a wave of destruction in its wake!

At Chris' school.

Mr. Stewart and some other teachers were making sure the kids were getting to safety.

Mr. Stewart: Children, we're all moving up the slope there.

His watch phone rang.

Mr. Stewart: Roger. This is Chalkboard Charlie.

Man on the other line: We need you back here at headquarters on the double!

He looked at his panicking students.

Mr. Stewart: But I can't leave my students!

Man: What? This is a direct order!

Mr. Stewart started making sounds with his mouth that mimicked static.

Mr. Stewart: I'm sorry, I didn't copy that. Can you repeat, Homeroom?

He hung up.

Francis: Sir?

Mr. Stewart: Are you the last ones?

Danny: Yeah, the others went ahead.

Mr. Stewart: That's good. Then follow me!

Danny/Francis: Okay/All right.

At the Thorndyke residence.

Mr. Tanaka: I'll wait for Chris. As a former water pole champion, I can swim both of us to safety when the flood comes.

Y/n got a call from his right bracelet.

Y/n: Gotta take this.

He picked it up.

President: Y/n, where are you?

Y/n: If it's about that monster, I'm already on my way. Tell Rouge to come my way.

President: Sure.

He hung up.

Y/n: Cream, I'm gonna give you a choice, and I won't judge you no matter what you pick. Will you flee with them, or fight Chaos with me.

Cream thought for a moment.

Ella: Of course she's coming with us. Why would you even ask that?

Y/n: I don't believe I was speaking to you. The choice is Cream's and Cream's alone.

Chuck: Y/n's right.

Cream: I won't abounded you, Y/n. Me and Cheese will fight with you.

Ella: What?

Y/n: All right, let's go.

Y/n put Cream who grabbed Cheese on his back.

Y/n: I'll make sure she comes back alive.

He ran out of there. 

In town.

Y/n took Cream to the top off a destroyed building.

Y/n: It's surprising how much of this place got destroyed in just a short amount of time.

Rouge flew down to them.

Rouge: I'm here. Where's Knuckles?

Y/n: I couldn't get a hold of him, but I have a few guys that can make up for his missing strength.

He took off both his gloves and bit both his thumbs.

Rouge: What's he doing?

Cream: Just watch.

Y/n slapped the ground.

Y/n: Summoning Technique!

A gaint puff of smoke came on roof and all three of his Chao came out of it.

Guardian: About time I get summoned again.

Blade: Guardian, you need to chill, dude.

Shell: I agree with Blade, dear friend.

Rouge: Those are gaint, talking Chao.

Blade: Woah, seems Y/n here has a lady friend.

Shell: Good for him. Every gentleman needs a fair lady in his life.

Y/n: Uh, no. We're just friends.

Rouge: Unfortunately for him, that's true.

Cream: This is our backup, big brother?

???: Big brother?

??? 2: When did that father of yours decide to give you a little sister, Y/n boy?

Rouge/Cream: Huh?

Two smaller Chao with robes also came from the smoke. One was a dark brown color like tea, while the other one was a much lighter shade of brown like a cookie.

Y/n: It's not like that, Lord Tea and Lady Biscuit.

Cream: Who are these smaller Chao?

Y/n: The dark brown one is Lord Tea. And lighter one is his wife, Lady Biscuit. They're basically the leaders of the Chao Shrine.

Tea: What's going on here, Y/n boy?

Y/n: There's this gaint water monster named Chaos that's causing a lot of trouble here and we need your help.

Biscuit: I don't know, this world really has nothing to do with us.

Tea: Oh, come on, Ma. What could be the harm?

Biscuit: A watse of our time, that's what! Time I could be using to cook for you, Pa! And Y/n boy is looking so famished that he honestly looks like he needs it more than you. Seriously, have you been eating plenty, Y/n boy?

Y/n: I eat more than enough. We're getting off topic. Here's the plan. Guardian, Shell and Blade will take Chaos.

Three Chao: Right.

Y/n: Rouge, Cream and Cheese will help as many people as they can.

Rouge: Consider it done.

Cream: What about you?

Y/n: Me? I'm going honered Sage Mode.

Rouge: What's that?

Y/n: It's something that will grand me enhance strength and reflexes. The only down side is I have to stand completely still while I'm charging it up. So, I'm depending on all of you to hold out while I do that. Now, go.

They all left Y/n and the Chao couple on the roof. Chaos was destroying fighter jets until the gaint Chao trio showed up.

Guardian: This world better be grateful to us after word.

Shell: Don't be like that, Guardian.

Blade: Yeah, how did you get to become such a downer, dude?

They started to attack, but Chaos absorbed all off Guardian and Blade's attacks. Shell's Soundwaves were the only things that were doing anything, but they only stunned Chaos for a few seconds. Sonic finally arrived and saw Chaos fighting off the Chao trio.

Sonic: With them here, Y/n shouldn't be too far away. Chaos! You're destroying days are over!

Sonic tried to hit Chaos with Spindash, but Chaos knocked him away. Sonic then ran up a building and tried to hit Chaos from above, but Chaos knocked him away and summoned a tsunami which Sonic surfed on using a piece of wood.

???: Sonic!

Tails and Chris flew to him and grabbed his hand.

Chris: You all right?

Sonic: Yeah. Thanks, Chris.

Chris: You think we'll win?

Sonic: It'll turn out okay. But Chaos is more powerful than ever, so I'll need plenty of help. Can I count on you?

Chris: You bet!

Sonic: Okay then, let's do it!

Back with Y/n.

Tea: If havoc is being played right now, you better speed it up.

Biscuit: You can't rush Sage Mode transformation.

Y/n: And I'm done.

Pink pigmentations formed around Y/n's eyes, his quills went down, he lost his pupils and his eyes became round making them look emotionless.

Y/n: This should do it.

Tea and Biscuit jumped on Y/n's shoulders.

Y/n: We better rush there now.

Y/n took off his weights.

Y/n: Better hang on tight.

He ran at his lightning fast speed.

Back to the fight.

They were still fighting off Chaos until Eggman with a new ship arrived on the scene.

Eggman: Back off, Sonic! Chaos doublecrossed me. Now, it's payback time!

Sonic: Eggman! This time he's fighting on our side?

Eggman: You're through, Chaos. The price of disloyalty to the Eggman Empire is annihilation!

The ship fired missiles at Chaos who blocked them with a water sphere and destroyed Eggman's ship with a laser from its mouth.

Guardian: Where is that guy?

Suddenly, Y/n showed up and punched one of Chaos' tentacles so hard that the water they were made of evaporated.

Y/n: Hey.

He jumped on to the X-Tornado.

Sonic: Y/n, why do you look like that? And what with the two Chao on your shoulders?

Y/n: Well, worry about that later.

Y/n saw Cream helping someone off a floating piece of ruble and a tentacle was about to hit here.

Y/n: Cream!

Cream saw it coming towards her and she used Spindash to get her and the person out of there.

Cream: I did it.

Cream got the person to safety.

Y/n: That's my student.

Y/n ran on the water which caused huge splashes.

Y/n: Sage Art: Spinning Water Rebound!

Y/n Spindashed the water which kept changing his direction and got a lot of hits in on Chaos, but Chaos eventually smacked Y/n away and knocked Tea and Biscuit off his shoulders.

Sonic: Oh, great! How are we going to beat it now?

A light orb went to the X-Tornado and gently put it down at Y/n's level and Y/n has went back to normal.

Sonic: This just keeps getting freakier and freakier.

Tikal came out of the light.

Sonic: You again.

Tikal: Since the day of my father's invasion, I have journeyed across the seas of eternal time with Chaos to help keep its power under control. But some fiend woke Chaos with a plan to use its power for an evil purpose.

Sonic: Eggman. He must have uncovered the way to revive Chaos somehow so he could use it to take over the world.

Chaos spat out the Chaos Emeralds and the purple Chaos Emerald landed at Tikal's feet and it lost its glow completely.

Tikal: Chaos has drained all the Emeralds of their power.

Sonic/Y/n: What?

Tikal: Ever since my clan attacked the temple, Chaos has known only hate and anger. It will use the power of the seven Emeralds to destroy this world. We have to seal Chaos back in the Master Emerald before it's too late!

Sonic: It won't work.

Tikal: Huh?

Sonic: If we seal it in the Master Emerald, the same thing will only happen again.

Y/n: Yeah, and we might not be around to deal with it, meaning no one will have any idea what there dealing with the next time.

Sonic: We have to solve this problem once and for all.

Tikal: Yes, and there might be one way.

Y/n: Let's hear it.

Tikal: My friend Storm Thunderhog had once tried to stop Chaos, but failed. Storm's spirit however decided it wouldn't give up. You Y/n are Storm's current reincarnation. Only you can guide Chaos as The Warrior of Lightning.

Y/n: I'm afraid you have the wrong guy. If this Storm was my past life, then he wouldn't have given up on his first try.

Tikal: What?

Y/n looked at Chaos.

Y/n: Chaos! I know that your heart is filled with anger and hatred, and I understand that. But you don't have to make the same bad choices I made. People have given me a second chance and they pulled me away from the dark path I went down, and now I'm going to pull you away before you can even start going down that path! If I fail this time, I'll just do it over again. And over, and over, (got on one knee) and over, and over, (picked up a piece of ruble and crushed it) and over, (beating the ground roughly) and over, and over, and over, and over again!

Both Tikal and even Chaos were stunned at Y/n's determination and that's when Cream walked to Sonic and Y/n.

Cream: Y/n, did you see my Spindash.

Y/n: Yes, I am truly proud to call you my Apprentice.

Cream: Look, I have something for you and Sonic.

She held out the yellow Chaos Emerald. Amy along with Lily and her family came to them.

Amy: Hey, Sonic!

She was waving the dark blue Chaos Emerald and Big came to and held out the green Chaos Emerald.

Big: I finally got back the pretty rock that Froggy swallowed. You two can borrow it if you want to.

Knuckles and Tails walked to them with a beaten up Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe.

Tails: Hey, Sonic and Y/n, if you collect all the Emeralds, you two can defeat Chaos.

Knuckles gave the the red Chaos Emerald.

Knuckles: Here, you too have more experience at being the heroes.

Sonic: Thanks, Knuckles.

Y/n: Thank you all.

Knuckles turned to Eggman.

Knuckles: Eggman?

Eggman: Oh, all right.

He pulled out the light Chaos Emerald.

Eggman: Take it.

Tails: We need one more.

???: Sonic, Y/n!

Chris ran to them.

Chris: Look what I found.

Chris tripped and the hedgehogs ran to check on him.

Sonic/Y/n: Chris!

Chris: Sonic, Y/n, look!

He was holding the white Chaos Emerald.

Sonic: I knew you'd come through.

Y/n: Never doubted you for a second, kid.

The whole crowd of saved citizens started cheering them on and the Emeralds started to get there glow back.

Chris: The Emeralds are getting their power back!

The Emeralds started to float and surround Sonic and Y/n which made them go into their gold and silver forms.

Tikal: I thought the power of the Emeralds could only be awakened by hate and anger.

Knuckles: There are other feelings that are even more powerful.

Tails: When everybody gave their Chaos Emeralds to Sonic and Y/n, it was because of our friendship. Caring is stronger than hate, and that's how Sonic and Y/n are going to beat Chaos!

Tea: Looks like there's no more need for us.

Biscuit: Come on boys.

They all disappeared as Sonic and Y/n finished there transformation and went to fight Chaos who put up his barrier, but Sonic and Y/n easily broke though it. Chaos then tried to hit them with water projectiles which they destroyed with Spindash. Chaos fired his laser which they dodged, but he fired another one at Chris and the others which Sonic blocked.

Chris: Sonic!

Sonic was completely fine.

Sonic: You can't stop me!

The other school children were watching from the distance.

Helen: If anybody can stop that monster, Sonic and Y/n can.

Danny: Go, Sonic and Y/n!

They all started cheering too.

Y/n: Or me! Sonic, I have a plan to temporarily stop it, then you and me will go for the final blow.

Sonic: All right.

Y/n moved his hands like this.

And sliver lightning trailed behind his intex and middle finger which he kept together and he shot that lightning at Chaos which paralyzed it.

Sonic: Woah, how did you do that?

Y/n: If we can make time warps with Chaos energy, making lightning should be child's play. Now, let's go!

Sonic: Right!

They hit Chaos with a double Spindash which made Chaos evaporated behind them as the crowed cheered and the two hedgehogs fist bumped each other before going back to normal. Chaos however reformed into his original form.

Knuckles: It wasn't destroyed! It survived!

Cheese: Chao! Chao! Chao! Chao!

A bunch of other Chao came out of the water and them along with Cheese surrounded Chaos.

Knuckles: But it doesn't look angry anymore.

Tails: Yeah. If you ask me, Chaos actually looks kind of happy.

Cream: Wow, look at all those Chao!

Chris: Wonder where they came from.

Amy: It looks to me like those Chao are friends of Chaos who came here to see him.

Tikal walked to Chaos.

Tikal: These are the Chao you kept watch over. There coming into this world now. The Chao will live here in peace. And you can be at peace now, too.

Chaos thought for a moment but looked at and walked to Y/n.

Y/n: You need something before you go?

Chaos raised its fist at Y/n who was confused, but realized what it wanted. When they bumped fist Chaos went into Y/n's left bracelet shocking everyone.

Y/n: What the hell?

Tikal: It seems Chaos has taken a special interest in you, Y/n.

Y/n: Well, is it cool if he stays here?

Tikal: It's fine with me. It's time for me to go.

Tikal disappeared into light and Tails noticed something.

Tails: Huh? Where did Eggman go?

Mr. Tanaka: I think he escaped while we were distracted.

Knuckles: Yeah? Well, he won't get away next time!

Chris: You did it, Sonic and Y/n!

Sonic: We all did!

Chris: So, is Chaos in your bracelet now?

Y/n: I'm not sure.

Y/n looked at his bracelet and a smaller version of Chaos came out and stood on it.

Y/n: Welcome aboard, Chaos.
