Narrator: Last time on "Sonic X x Male Reader," Chris learned that his world and Sonic's were once one, but since the planets started to recombine, time itself is screeching to a halt! The only way to unstop the clock is to cause Chaos Control and send Sonic, Y/n and their friends back to their world. Suspecting a trick, Chris confronted Dr. Eggman and was shocked to discover is that the time-freeze fiasco was real. But was more shocked to find out Y/n hugged him to console him. Now Tails and Chuck are working overtime to build a machine that can send our heroes home while Y/n worked on final goodbyes. Can they conquer the secrets of Chaos Control before time runs out? Scarlet was on the News as always.

Scarlet: We now go live to the office of the President.

President: My fellow citizens, I have sad news to bring you this morning. Many months ago a connection was established between Sonic and Y/n's world and our own. Now regrettably, that connection must be severed forever...

Y/n and Chaos were watching the news at home.

Chaos: I guess the words out now.

Y/n: I gotta work on some final goodbyes.

The house phone rang and he picked.

Y/n: Hello? Sure, I'll let them know. Okay, bye.

He hung up.

Chaos: Who was that?

Y/n: Ella. She invited us for breakfast.

Chaos: Well, let's get Cream, Cheese, Vanilla and Spark up and then we'll go.

With Chris.

Chris was standing near the pool, looking at it then Sonic zoomed onto the other side.

Sonic: Morning, Chris.

Chris: Good morning, Sonic.

Sonic: How's it going, guy?

Chris: Okay.

Sonic: We can go for a run later if you want to.

Chris: Sure.

President: Unfortunately, this is the last day we will spend with Sonic, Y/n and their friends. Tonight, they must return to their own world.

Later.

Y/n had gotten his group to the Thorndyke's where everyone enjoyed breakfast.

Amy: Personally, I don't see why it's such a problem if time suddenly comes to a stop. If I don't get older, I won't get any wrinkles.

Vanilla: But, Amy, don't you think you'd get bored if you were forced to live the same day over and over again forever and ever?

Cream: And if you don't get any older, you'll never get birthday presents.

Amy: I didn't think of that.

Y/n: And if time stops, you'll never get with Sonic or marry him. Not like I see that happening even if time continued though.

Amy: I'll make time fly fast around you.

Ella: Hey, come on. Let's not ruin our last day with you!

Chris got up and grabbed his backpack.

Chris: I have school. See you later.

Y/n: Cream, we better light the school now we're signing you out.

Cream: Yeah, but I got to turn in my homework first.

Y/n: Well, let's go.

Cream got on Y/n's back and he ran out the door with Chris.

In the garage.

Tails and Chuck were working hard on the machine.

Chuck: Argh! No good.

Tails: I wonder what we're doing wrong.

Chuck: It would be easier if we had Y/n helping us.

President: (on radio: and on behalf of all our citizens, I extend our best wishes to Sonic, Y/n and their friends.)

At Chris's school.

Francis: I wish Sonic and the others didn't have to go back.

Danny: On TV, they said, time's gonna stop if they don't go home.

Helen: I know it's important and all, but it's gonna be lonesome. I don't want things to go back to the way they were before Y/n and Sonic came.

Chris: (Thinking: From the first time we met, it seemed like Sonic, Y/n and I were meant to be friends. Right from the start, we always looked out for each other. Now what if Sonic gets in trouble and I'm not there to help him? And Y/n, who knows what they'll do to him back on their planet.)

With Y/n, Chaos Cream and Cheese.

Cream: It's sad I'm gonna have to leave school.

Cheese: Chao.

Y/n: Don't worry, I'm sure Mrs. Vanilla can homeschool you once you go back.

They saw government robots fly to Eggman's home.

Cream: What was that.

Y/n: Government robots. They're heading towards Robotnik's base.

Cream: Isn't that a good thing?

Chaos: No, the President would've given Y/n before sending those.

Y/n: We better help him no matter how much it pains me.

They quickly ran to Eggman's house, which was already destroyed and Sonic was there.

Sonic: They're not fighting fair, Eggman. They got you totally outnumbered.

Eggman: They may have me completely surrounded with thousands of robotic attack crafts, but I possess the one weapon that can easily defeat them all, which is my super-superior brain!

More lasers came down.

Sonic: It doesn't take a real big brain to see you're in trouble. You should leave.

Bocoe: Dr. Eggman never admits defeat, especially when he loses.

A missile was coming right for them along with some lasers, but Sonic sent the missile back while Y/n along with Chaos deflected the lasers with Chaos Whip Barricade.

Decoe: You will probably kick me in the compressors for saying this, but I think you should listen to Sonic. This situation is hopeless.

Bocoe: Even an egomaniac needs to be realistic sometimes.

Eggman: No way! I'm going to stay right here and hold my ground until there's no ground left to hold!

Sonic: We'll stop those robots for you. But first, you have to leave.

Eggman: Forget it, hedgeho-

More lasers were shot, but no one was harmed.

Sonic: I'm gonna give you one last chance, Eggman.

Y/n: Just let go of your pride for once.

Bocoe: Never mind Dr. Eggman.

Decoe: Just save us!

Decoe/Bocoe: Pretty please?

Y/n: Cream, we'll buy you a minute. That should be enough time for you to build up enough Sage energy to destroy all of these crafts.

Cream: Okay.

Cream got off Y/n and put her hands together with her eyes closed. As Sonic destroyed crafts with Spindash and Y/n used his Chaos whips. After a bit, Cream entered Sage Mode and helped with craft destruction.

With Eggman.

Him, Decoe and Bocoe were in a ship of some kind.

Eggman: Time for a merger.

Decoe: Affirmative!

Three large aircrafts left the ground.

Eggman: Merge now!

Bocoe: Roger.

The three aircrafts combined together.

Eggman: Behold my super fortress, the greatest fighting machine ever invented- The Grand Egg Imperial!

Decoe: We could save ourselves a lot of time and trouble if we abandon ship now.

Bocoe: Right!

Eggman: Pipe down! We have enough Firepower to send those robots down in flames. Blast them with the laser cannons!

Decoe/Bocoe: Roger!

He started blasting lasers at the crafts and eventually.

Eggman: I told you I didn't need your help, hedgehogs! But since you two along with that rabbit and Chaos creature tried to save me, here's a little present for you all.

He gave them a small box which Sonic opened.

Sonic: What's this?

Y/n looked at it.

Y/n: I think I know what it is.

Cream saw something shining behind a tree and when she picked it up, it was the blue Chaos Emerald.

Cream: Big brother, look, I found a Chaos Emerald.

Chaos: Good job. Let's get all this to Tails and Chuck so we can go home.

They all went to the garage and gave the box which had a microchip in it to Tails and Chuck.

Tails: This is the last part we need! All we have to do is put it in the machine and we're set!

Chuck: Let's test it out and make sure it works.

Tails: Looks like we did it, Chuck!

Sonic: With Eggman's help.

Y/n: Tails, before you do that, can we talk privately for a minute.

Tails: Sure.

They walked to a more private room.

Tails: So, what's up?

Y/n: I just wanted to let you know, you're a good friend.

Tails: Aw, you're also a good friend, Y/n.

Y/n: No, really. You reached out to me even though back then we were at odds with each other.

Tails: I did it because I know what it's like to need people even if you never say it.

Y/n: How long do you think it'll be before the machine's ready?

Tails: About an hour and a half.

Y/n: That'll be more that enough time to say goodbye to some people.

He ran off and found Amy on the balcony.

Y/n: Hello, Amy.

Amy: Y/n, hi.

Y/n: So, I am here to say that even though we never got along at first, a part of me always believed you were a good person.

Amy: Right back at you.

Y/n: However long it may take, I hope Sonic finally realizes what he's been running from, but you need to be less clingy if you want him to.

Amy: I'll try. And thank you, but why say all this out of the blue?

Y/n: I'm giving some final goodbyes to some people.

Amy: Final goodbyes?

Y/n: When we get home, I'm turning myself in. I was a serial killer, a punishment is what I deserve.

Amy: I don't think Cream will like that.

Y/n: Regardless, I have more people I would like to say goodbye to.

He ran off and saw Rouge on a roof.

Y/n: Hey.

Rouge: Hey, handsome.

Y/n: Rouge, I would like to say thank you.

Rouge: For what exactly.

Y/n: For being with me, you were the first girl I didn't scream at, abuse and the first girl ever to kiss me.

Rouge: Well, although we agreed on a platonic friendship a while back, they were fun.

Y/n: To think in about an hour our reputation as government agents will be over.

Rouge: Yeah, and I'm sorry to tell you, but I think I'm going to leave Team Chaos. It's just staying in a team isn't my style.

Y/n: It's fine. I was going to disband it anyway.

Rouge: Disband??

Y/n: Bye, Rouge.

He ran off.

Y/n: How many people are left, Chaos?

Chaos: Only two.

Y/n made it too Angel Island and saw Knuckles with the Master Emerald.

Knuckles: Hey, Y/n... and Chaos.

Y/n: Hello.

Chaos: Hey, now that I'm here, I'm sorry for everything I put you through, Knuckles.

Knuckles: It's fine.

Y/n: Knuckles, right now I would like to thank you for being a loyal friend.

Knuckles: It's no problem, but you could have been a bit more honest with me and told me you were a Thunderhog.

Y/n: Yeah, but I didn't know how you'd react.

Knuckles: Yeah, our two clans were at War once.

Chaos: Yes, but there were two who didn't fight on sight. They were Tikal and Storm.

Y/n: Yeah, Storm being my past life and Tikal being trapped with you in the Master Emerald.

Chaos: Yeah, if they could overcome their clans differences, then so could you.

Knuckles: You're right. Y/n, I'm sorry to say, but I'm leaving Team Chaos. I got to stay focused on guarding the Master Emerald. But I on behalf of the Echidnas offer peace between our Clans.

Y/n: I'd like that.

They both shook hands.

Y/n: Well, I gotta run.

Knuckles: See ya.

Y/n ran off again.

Y/n: Final stop.

Y/n saw Helen reading quietly in the park looking sad.

Y/n: Hey, kiddo. You look down.

Helen: (looked up at him) Y/n.

Y/n: Hey. Look, I'm sorry it all had to come to this.

Helen: I'm gonna miss not being able to see you anymore.

Y/n: I can't bear the idea either.

Helen: Y/n, why did you actually try to be my friend unlike everyone else you met?

Y/n: Well, it's because I know what it's like to not have your parents around. See there are things I haven't told you, but I feel you should know.

Y/n explained everything about his past.

Helen: So, you use to... kill people.

Y/n: Yeah, but don't worry. I'm going to make sure I pay for everything.

Helen: What are you going to do?

Y/n: I'm going turn myself in. So, now that you know the truth I understand if you never want to see me again.

He was about to walk off, but Helen grabbed his wrist.

Helen: Wait, that you may have been terrible and I definitely wouldn't want anything to do with someone like that, but this is the new you, the one that I love.

She hugged him and Y/n hugged back.

Y/n: Oh, there's something I want to tell you. I finally figured out how to fix your legs.

Helen: You did?

Y/n: Yes, but there are risk. It's a special type of surgery that I can only do once ever and it only has at most a 64% chance of working. Are you ready for it.

Helen: (nods) I know I should be willing to take the risk.

Y/n: Okay, let's do it.

An hour later.

Back at the Thorndyke residence.

Chris was getting ready for the big goodbye.

Chris: (Thinking: This is the worst day of my life. Soon, Sonic and Y/n'll be gone. Forever. And we'll never see each other ever again.)

Him along with Amy, Tails and Spark got into Chuck's car which was hauling the Tornado. While Vanilla, Cream and Cheese got into Ella's car and they all started to drive.

Chris: (Thinking: Sonic and Y/n are my best friends. It's not fair.)

He remembered a talk he had with Sonic last night.

Chris: Hey, Sonic?

Sonic: Yeah, Chris?

Chris: Do you really wanna go back to your world?

Sonic: Well, I don't have a choice. As long as I've got places to run and explore, I'll be happy.

Chris: That's good.

The flashback ended as Y/n was talking to Chaos.

Y/n: Chaos, when I turn myself in, I completely understand if you want to back to Mystic Ruin and guard your Chaos again.

Chaos: Y/n, when I agreed to be your partner, I meant it. I'll stick by you no matter what choice you make in the future.

Chaos rose his fist up.

Chaos: Partners?

Y/n: (smiles) Partners.

They both fist bumped and they reached the bridge to leave Station Square where there was a portal machine that Knuckles was standing in front of along with Danny, Francis and Helen.

Danny: Bye, guys.

Helen: We'll miss you.

Francis: We wish you didn't have to go.

Chuck: Time to see if this machine works.

Tails: Yeah.

Tails turned on the machine that activated the portal, but it quickly closed.

Chuck: We don't have enough power, Tails.

Tails: What'll we do? The other Emeralds are still missing.

Chris: (Thinking: If they don't get another Emerald, they won't be able to cause Chaos Control. Sonic and the others'll have to stay here.)

Sonic: You could use one of these!

Sonic pulled out the red Chaos Emerald.

Y/n: And this one.

Y/n showed the blue Chaos Emerald and both hedgehogs gave their Emeralds to Tails.

Tails: Great! We have enough power now.

Chuck: All right, Tails, let's power up.

They installed the Chaos Emeralds.

Tails: Here goes!

They turned on the machine and the portal sucked in all the little animals of Mobius.

Amy: I guess it won't be long before we are all back home guys, guys.

The portal even sucked in Eggman's ship.

Eggman: The pleasure was all yours!

He laughed maniacally.

The portal suddenly shut down again.

Amy: Hey, why did it just shut off?

Cheese: Chao.

Cream: We can still go back home, can't we?

Chuck: There was a power burnout. We don't have enough energy now to send the rest of that.

Tails: I'm not giving up yet.

Chuck: But, Tails...

Tails: If I make some adjustments, I think I can draw even more power for the machine.

Chuck: It's worth a try.

Y/n: Let me help you.

They started making the adjustments and that's when Sam pulled up in his car, but drove away a second after.

Amy: He didn't even get out of the car. That was the fastest goodbye ever.

Ella: I think he just broke another world record.

Tails: Chuck, I think it's fixed.

Chuck: Let's give it a go.

Y/n: Hold on.

He used a little lightning spark in the circuitry.

Y/n: Now, it should be good to go.

As soon as they turned it on, a bright light hit it from above.

Chuck: That light!

Tails: It's from Space Colony Ark!

The portal opened again.

Chuck: Now we have all the power we need! Excellent work, you two!

Sonic: You did great, buddy.

Spark: Your father would be proud, Y/n.

Chuck looked at them with tears in his eyes and brought them both into his embrace.

Chuck: I'm going to miss you both.

Tails: Yeah. Goodbye, Chuck. You've been a great teacher and an excellent friend, too.

Y/n: And you helped me reset my morals. And I would like for you to have this.

He gave Chuck a sketch book.

Y/n: That has some great ideas for inventions in it. I hope you find them useful.

Chuck: Thank you, Y/n.

Cream: Big brother, come over here!

Y/n walked over to her and was immediately met with a flower crown on his head.

Y/n: What the?

Helen: We made flower crowns for Cream. Because we know how much she like flowers, but we never would've guessed you liked them.

Francis: Regardless, it looks great on you, Cream.

Danny: You like it?

Cream: Oh, thank you all. I love it! But not as much as I love all of you!

She broke down into tears and hugged Helen who cried and hugged back.

Y/n: Come now, Cream. Haven't I told you crying is weakness.

As he said that he broke down into tears.

Y/n: (crying) Then I guess this makes me the weakest one here.

Helen: Y/n, thank you for everything.

She gave him a light kiss on the forehead which made Y/n go red.

Y/n: (red face) Aw, I really am going to miss you the most.

Helen: (Thinking: I wish you didn't have to probably get locked away.)

Ella was crying at the sight.

Amy: Don't cry, Ella, or you're gonna make me lose it too.

Ella got out a small cactus in a pot.

Ella: Don't worry. I went to the plant store and bought myself a cactus to take care of.

Amy: Oh.

Ella: I named it "Amy" after you.

Amy: That was sweet of you, Ella. Thanks. Thanks for taking care of us. You and Mr. Tanaka made us welcome.

Tanaka: It was our pleasure. I wish you could stay longer.

Ella handed Amy a small book.

Ella: Here. This might help you remember me.

Amy: (gasp) You wrote down your favorite recipes, so I can make them when I'm back home. Ella.

The two cried and hugged each other.

Amy: Ella! What will I do without you!

Ella: I don't know!

Y/n: Sorry to brake this up, but I would like to give you something, Ella.

Y/n gave Ella another sketch book.

Ella: Are these... your aunt's recipes?

Y/n: I know how bad you wanted them.

Ella: Y/n, thank you so much.

Chris: (Thinking: In a second, Sonic and Y/n'll go through that gate. They'll be gone forever, but I'm not ready to say goodbye.)

Helen: (Thinking: What'll happen to Y/n? Imprisonment? Death? I don't want to think about it.)

Chuck: Hurry! We can't keep the gate open long. You have to leave immediately before there's a power failure!

Vanilla, Spark, Cream and Cheese stepped in first.

Vanilla: Thank you for everything!

Cream: It was nice knowing you! Bye-bye!

Cheese: Chao! Chao!

Spark: May our meet again one day!

Then Amy.

Amy: Thank you all.

Then Tails and the Tornado.

Tails: It's been a blast!

Chris: (Thinking: Goodbye, Cream, Amy, Tails. I'll never forget you.)

With Rouge.

She gave Topaz a green broach.

Rouge: Take this before I change my mind. When I saw that gem in the jewelry store, I had to get it for you. It was a steal. See ya.

Rouge went through the portal and Topaz started to cry to be comforted by Tanaka. Then it was Knuckles turn.

Knuckles: Soon, will be back home, guys. Back home.

Sonic chuckled while Y/n smiled and nodded.

Knuckles: Let's go.

Knuckles stepped through the portal.

Sonic: Mm. Okay.

They were about to go in to.

Chris: Sonic? Y/n?

Sonic/Y/n: Huh?

Chris walked closer to them.

Chris: Well, guys...

Sonic: Chris.

Chris: This is it.

Y/n: Yeah, we had a good run.

Chris shook both there hands.

Chris: It's been cool. I'm glad we met.

Y/n: I could say the same.

Chris: Bye, guys, and good luck.

They gave each other a thumbs up and the two hedgehogs were about to go through the portal but Chris shut it down. Leaving everyone in shock.
