Sonic, Y/n, Knuckles, Chris, Chuck, and Big were in the Thorndyke garage enjoying tea.

Sonic: Shouldn't we be out trying to stop Eggman instead of taking a coffee break.

Y/n: Coffee? This is tea.

Sonic: Whatever.

Chuck: I'm hoping that we can put our heads together and unravel the mystery of Eggman's chaos creature.

Y/n: Well, let's review what we know about it so far. It can blast water and use lightning as a type of shield, it becomes bigger and stronger with each Chaos Emerald it consumes, and it's only known weakness is sound based attacks. Not really a lot to go off of.

Knuckles: It's the most powerful thing I've ever seen. We watched it gulp down two Chaos Emeralds like they were candy.

Sonic: They made that thing even stronger.

Chuck: It sounds as if it's going to be a real challenge to defeat this creature.

Knuckles: It will. I knew it would be trouble when I saw it on Angel Island.

Flashback:

Knuckles: (Narrating: After Chaos Control happened, Angel Island was transported into this world. That's where the Master Emerald was, and I guarded it around the clock. One night, a huge bolt of lightning woke me up. This wasn't an ordinary thunderstorm. Something very strange was happening at the summit. I knew the Master Emerald was in danger. But it was too late. And that's when I saw it.)

He went up the stares of the summit and saw Chaos where the Master Emerald was.

End Flashback.

Chris: If the Master Emerald's on Angel Island, why aren't you there now protecting it?

Knuckles: Because it's too late. The Chaos creature made sure of that.

Flashback.

Knuckles: Hey! Who are you?!

Chaos growled and behind it was the broken fragments of the Master Emerald.

Knuckles: What happened to the Master Emerald? Are you the one who destroyed it?

Knuckles attack Chaos but Chaos hit back and melted away.

Knuckles: Wait! Blast. Where did that thing go?

The ground on Angel Island started to shake.

Knuckles: Now what?

The Island began to go down.

Knuckles: The Master Emerald keeps this island hovering in the air, but it can't if it's shattered.

The island land in the ocean.

End flashback.

Chuck: You shouldn't blame yourself for what that creature did, Knuckles.

Chris: Big, when you went looking for Froggy in the forest, didn't you see something that looked like Chaos?

Big mumbled as he remembered what happened.

Big: I tried to catch Froggy, but he was faster than me, and he hopped away with something I found in the forest.

Chris: What was that?

Big: It was a big purple rock. It looked awful pretty when it was glowing.

Chris: That sounds like it could have been a Chaos Emerald.

Chuck: If that's the case, then we better find that little frog quick or it won't survive long.

Chris: Why, Grandpa?

Chuck: Because Dr. Eggman is determined to do anything to seize an emerald. The more emeralds he feeds that Chaos creature, the easier it'll be to take over this world.

Y/n: And if what that frog swallowed was a piece of Chaos, absorbing that may also make it stronger.

Chuck: It's vital we find those emeralds before Eggman uses their power to conquer us all.

Sonic: No sweat! I'll find them.

Chris: You have a plan, Sonic?

Sonic: You know I prefer to think on my feet.

Knuckles: I'll go and look for the broken pieces of the Master Emerald.

Y/n walked to Knuckles and put a piece of paper in his hand.

Y/n: Meet me here in ten minutes.

Y/n ran out of there.

Sonic: Wonder what that was about?

Chris: I guess Big and I can go try to find Froggy together.

Big: Hmmm. That's a good idea.

They all split up.

With Y/n.

Y/n was running with Cream on his back.

Y/n: (Text: Meet me in the park in ten minutes.)

Cream: What are you planning?

Y/n: You'll see, because you and Cheese are a part of this plan.

Cream: Us?

Cheese: Chao, chao?

With Sonic.

Sonic walked into a garage in Mystic Ruins where he saw Tails working on the X Tornado.

Sonic: Tails!

Tails: Huh?

Sonic: Hey!

Tails: Hiya, Sonic!

After some explaining.

Tails: So, we have to track down the Chaos Emeralds all over again.

Sonic: If we fail, Eggman'll win. You think you're up to the challenge?

Tails laughed a bit.

Tails: I already started collecting 'em.

Sonic: Huh?

Tails: Tadah!

Tails opened the cockpit of the X Tornado where the green Chaos Emerald was.

Tails: I just found this emerald yesterday. We can use it to pinpoint where all the other emeralds are. It will make tracking 'em down a lot easier.

Sonic whistled.

Sonic: Now you're starting to think like me.

Tails: You know, if Y/n was here he would probably make a sarcastic comment like, "But you don't think at all, Faker."

Sonic: And now you're starting to think like Y/n.

The garage doors starts open and Tails and Sonic we're pulling out in the X Tornado.

Tails: Hang on. Ready for takeoff!

At the park.

Knuckles was leaning against a tree and Rouge flew down on the tree.

Rouge: Hi.

Knuckles: Hi. Did Y/n ask you to come here too?

Rouge: You guessed it. What do you think this meeting is about?

Knuckles: It better be important, that's all I have to say.

Y/n finally showed up with Cream and Cheese.

Y/n: Sit with them, you two.

Cream and Cheese sat near the tree.

Knuckles: What's all of this about, Y/n?

Y/n: We're looking for the Chaos Emeralds and the pieces of the Master Emerald.

Rouge: The Master Emerald is broken?

Y/n: It's a long story. Although we could do this job by ourselves individually, I say we would have a better chance if we worked together.

Cream: So, we're putting together a team.

Y/n: That's correct. Knuckles with his strength, Rouge with her flight, Cream and Cheese with their small size, and me with my intellect. We will find those emeralds or the Master Emerald pieces.

Knuckles: That does sound pretty good, but what's this little team of ours called?

Y/n: From this day forth, we will be known as Team Chaos. Here's our travel plan. Knuckles, you'll look for the Chaos Emeralds or the Master Emerald pieces North.

Knuckles: Okay.

Y/n: Rouge, you check the East with your bird's eye view.

Rouge: Will do, boss.

Y/n: Cream and Cheese, you two check the West and use your small size to get into any small spaces you can.

They both nodded.

Y/n: I'll check South. We meet back here in an hour rather we find something or not. Oh, and before I forget.

He handed them all phones.

Y/n: Those phones will allow you to speak with your fellow Team Chaos members, and no one will be able to hear our conversations. Call anyone if you run into any trouble. Now, we break on three.

Y/n put his hand out and the others stacked their hands on his.

Team Chaos: 1... 2... 3... Go!

They both ran their directions.

With Knuckles.

Knuckles saw a broken up building and went to the officers that were near the sight.

Knuckles: What happened, officer?

Officer: Huh? Hey, it's Knuckles.

Officer 2: Woah, think you and me could get a picture taken to show the guys back at the station?

Knuckles: Maybe later. You guys have any idea what smashed into that building.

Officer: Well, sort of. Witnesses say it was a glowing object that fell from the sky.

Knuckles: A what.

Knuckles jumped on to the officer.

Knuckles: You're sure?

Officer: Well, I...

The officer took Knuckles inside the building to find...

Knuckles: A piece of the Master Emerald.

Knuckles held his hand out to it and it floated in his hand to the officers shock. The piece then shined and brought Knuckles to a place that looked like Mystic Ruin.

Knuckles: (Thinking: This place seems like Mystic Ruin, but the building should be ancient. Why do they look brand new?)

Female voice: we must stop the invasion, father.

He saw a female echidna talking to a bunch of other echidna Warriors.

Big echidna warrior: Tikal, you know I must seize those emeralds for the good of our tribe. When we have them, we will be strong.

Tikal: But this plan of yours is foolish. It will bring nothing but grief to our land and cause needless pain and suffering to our neighbors. There must be another way. What if we work with-

Tikal's father: Don't you dare suggest me work with those damn Thunderhogs!

Tikal: We should not try to help our own kind by bringing harm to someone else! It's wrong!

Knuckles returned to the real world.

Officer: You feelin' okay, pal?

Knuckles: Huh? Mmm.

Officer: Since there wasn't a crime, we won't need that rock as evidence, will we?

Officer 2: No, Knuckles can keep it.

Knuckles: If you find anymore emeralds like this, let me know.

Knuckles began to walk away.

Knuckles: (Thinking: I couldn't protect the Master Emerald, but me and the rest of Team Chaos will gather what's left of it.)

With Y/n.

Y/n found a piece of the Master Emerald in an abandoned factory.

Y/n: I got one.

It started to glow and Y/n teleported to that same Mystic Ruin.

Y/n: (Thinking: What is this?)

He looked on top of the summit and saw a bunch of echidnas on the right and a bunch of hedgehogs on the other side.

Tikal's father: And we agree we'll have peace?

Hedgehog: Yes.

They were about to shake hands but an echidna stabbed the hedgehog.

Hedgehog 2: No!

That hedgehog struck the echidna with lightning that came from his fingertips.

Tikal's father: did you really think we would make peace with you Thunderhogs?

Thunderhog: Well, no matter what you echidnas do, make no mistake. We are forever at war!

Y/n was brought back to reality.

Y/n: Those damn echidna Warriors. I'm just glad Knuckles isn't like them.

He ran out of there.

With Sonic and Tails.

They were flying over a Misty Valley when the X Tornado suddenly lost control.

Tails: The Chaos Emerald detected something!

They looked down and saw a bright blue light.

Sonic: Down there.

They landed and got out of the X Tornado with the Chaos Emerald and Tails nearly got blown away.

Sonic: Gotcha. Are you okay?

Tails: I'm fine. The wind caught me by surprise.

They continued walking until the Chaos Emerald shined really bright over the ground.

Tails: This must be the spot.

Sonic: We'll see.

Sonic used a power ring to spin dash through the ground and got out the light blue Chaos Emerald.

Tails: Another emerald.

Sonic: Haha, yeah!

Tails grabbed the new emerald.

Tails: I sure hope the other ones are this easy to track down.

Sonic: Yeah, me too.

A huge blow of wind went by.

Tails: The wind is getting worse!

Eggman hovered down in an improved version of the Egg-carrier.

Sonic: Ugh. Oh, great.

Eggman flew over them and that caused caused Tails to drop the emeralds and Eggman grabbed.

Eggman: (laughs) My scheme worked like a charm. You did all the grunt work, and I get all the glory. Not to mention, the Chaos Emeralds.

Tails: Sonic, he followed us here.

Eggman: I'll see you next time, boys. Next time you find a Chaos Emerald, that is.

Eggman flew off.

Sonic: Hold it!

Sonic ran to Eggman's upgraded Egg-carrier and jumped on it.

Eggman: Oh, great.

Eggman tried to shake him, but Sonic held on. Eggman then activated drills crashed into the ground which made Sonic fall off.

Tails: Here!

Tails threw a ring at Sonic and Sonic used it to Spindash Eggman's drill until it snapped.

Eggman: How dare you!

Sonic then hit the Egg-carrier and it lost its upgrades and the emeralds fell into the lake.

Tails: We'll have to fish 'em out.

The lake started to glow and Eggman laughed.

Eggman: You can come on out now, Chaos 4.

Chaos came out of the water and it was twice as big as last time.

Tails: What'll we do now?

Chaos sent an energy wave towards them and that blew them away.

Sonic: You stay here. I'll handle it.

Sonic Spindash towards Chaos, but Chaos went into the water and Sonic got out of the Spindash to jump safely on a lily pad that got taken up by a whirlpool. Sonic jumped from lily pad to lily pad and hit Chaos from the back which caused it to explode.

Tails: All right!

Chaos reformed itself and shot another energy wave which Sonic dodged and went towards Chaos with Spindash which Chaos dodged and Sonic landed in the water.

Tails: Ah! Sonic!

Eggman: Now, keep dunking Sonic till he's totally washed up.

Sonic hung on to Chaos and Chaos was trying to shake him.

Sonic: I'll ride the wind!

Sonic jumped up and used the wind to speed up his Spindash.

Eggman: Watch out, Chaos 4!

Sonic's Spindash cut right through Chaos.

Tails: That finished it off for sure.

Sonic: Well, Eggman, Chaos had a meltdown.

Eggman: It's not over.

Eggman used his tractor beam to pick up Chaos' remains.

Eggman: This round, you got a lucky break, but next time, you'll just get broken. Count on it, Sonic.

Eggman flew away.

Sonic: Dream on, Eggman!

Eggman's gaint airship flew above them.

Eggman: Thanks again for the Chaos Emeralds. Keep up the good work! Ha, ha, ha.

The ship flew away.

Tails: Dr. Eggman will be more powerful now 'cause I dropped those emeralds. I'm really sorry, Sonic.

Sonic: Forget it. We'll get those emeralds back.

In Station Square.

Y/n was running until he accidentally bumped into someone, he looked to see he bumped into Amy.

Y/n: Well, look who it is, the Mistress of Hell.

Amy: And the Lord of Gloom and Sadness. Let me guess, you didn't have enough fun beating me the last time we saw each other, so you bumped into me on purpose just to smite me.

Y/n: No, I'm being useful. You should try it someday.

The sky suddenly got dark.

Amy: That's funny, the sky is getting dark, but there wasn't anything in the forecast about a storm.

They saw it was Eggman's ship and saw it was being followed by the X Tornado.

Amy: The X Tornado!

Y/n: Looks like I better get into action.

Up in the Sky.

Sonic: Stay on him, Tails.

The X Tornado shot its lasers at Eggman's ship but they did nothing, Eggman's ship fired some of its own lasers which the X-Tornado avoided until a bigger laser.

Tails: I'll how to knock that thing out!

Tails was about to attack it when a blur flashed by and struck the laser and split some of the ship.

Tails: Huh?

Y/n was right next to them with his arms crossed.

Tails: Y/n, how are you even doing that?!

Y/n: I got a little help from an old friend.

He was standing on a red Chao with two swords around it's waste.

Y/n: Tails, Sonic, meet Blade.

Blade: Dude, after Shell and Guardian told me you summoned them, I was counting down the seconds until you finally summoned me.

Y/n: I choose you because out of the three, you're the fastest. Also, I had a run in with Rose down there and I honestly hope she got hit by something that came from that ship.

Sonic: I swear, we got to do something to better your relationship with her. Anyway, let's finish him!

Tails: Ready when you are, Sonic!

Eggman's ship fired a laser Canon at them, and even though Blade dodged it the X Tornado wasn't so lucky.

Tails: He hit our wing!

The X Tornado was going down and crashed leaving Tails unconscious.

Sonic: Tails!

Y/n and Blade quickly got down.

Y/n: Thanks for the help, Blade.

Blade: Any time, dude.

Blade disappeared and Y/n quickly checked Tails' pulse.

Y/n: He's still alive. Take him back to the Thorndyke's and I'll run there with some medical supplies.

Sonic: Make it quick.

Sonic took Tails and ran while Y/n ran back towards the park where he met with the rest of Team Chaos.

Y/n: All right, what do we got so far?

Knuckles: I found a piece of the Master Emerald in a building.

Cream: I found a piece in a pound.

Rouge: I found four shards

Y/n: Well, counting mine, we have seven pieces of the Master Emerald, but zero Chaos Emeralds.

Knuckles: I'll look after the pieces we found so far.

Y/n: Okay.

Y/n, Rouge and Cream gave Knuckles their pieces of the Master Emerald.

Y/n: All right, we searched enough for the day. We'll continue our search same time tomorrow.

Knuckles: Why?!

Y/n: You need to recover your strength, you're tired. One day isn't going to hurt anything. And Cream, Tails is hurt and needs our help.

Cream: Okay!

Cream hopped on Y/n's back with Cheese and ran to the Thorndyke residence.

Later.

Tails woke up with bandages on his head.

Tails: Huh? A dream? But where am I? Huh?

He saw Chuck and Y/n looking at him.

Chuck: Hey! How are you feeling?

Tails : My head hurts?

Y/n: Well, you did just survive a plane crash. If I'm being honest, I'm surprised you did survive and only got out of it with a head injury.

Tails: Where's Sonic?

Chuck: He's fine. Your piloting skills saved both of you from serious injury or worse.

The TV was on the news channel.

Reporter: The skies of Station Square erupted in turmoil earlier this afternoon as Dr. Eggman battled the X Tornado and what looked like Y/n on a gaint Chao.

Chuck: Unfortunately, Eggman got away in his ship. I'm afraid the X Tornado sustained heavy damage.

Y/n: Yeah, and Blade might be fast, but he has no tracking skills.

Tails: But we're not giving up. Are we, Sonic? We're gonna get those emeralds back somehow.

Sonic: You bet we are.

They gave a thumbs-up up to each other.

Chuck: Amy and Cream went out shopping.

Y/n: Cream went with Amy to get an herb for me so we can make an ointment that can quickly heal Tails' injury.

Chuck: I hope they make it back here without any trouble.

Y/n: Don't worry, Amy knows that if she lets any harm come to Cream and Cheese I'll cut her arms off.

Sonic: Okay, to make sure you don't do that I'll check on 'em.

Y/n: I'll come with you. Chuck, make sure Tails doesn't do anything too strenuous.

With Amy and Cream.

Amy and Cream were walking back with bags in their hands and Amy was with a little bird with a weird necklace on.

Amy: So, that herb heals injuries?

Cream: No, big brother said it would just speed up the healing process.

Amy: Ugh, I told you to stop calling him big brother.

Cream: But he is my big brother.

Amy: No, he's a terrible role model and I regret not fighting for you.

Cream: Let's change the subject before we break out into an argument.

Amy: Okay. Sonic and Tails were pretty banged up, but they'll feel a lot better after they eat the gourmet meal we cook for them.

Cream: And I apply the healing ointment.

Amy: Yeah, that too.

Cream: Now, I could try out all the fancy recipes that Ella taught me and make one on the healing ointments big brother taught me.

Amy: Right, Cream. It will be the best meal ever.

Cheese: Chao. Chao.

Amy: And, Cheese, we'll need your help cooking too.

Cream: After he helps me and Y/n with the ointment.

Cheese: Chao. Chao.

Amy: You recovered from your fall pretty fast, little bird.

Cream: I wonder where it came from and if it has a name.

The bird started chirping.

Amy: We can't understand you.

Cream: We don't speak bird.

Amy: Hey, maybe we should give you a name. I know, what if we call you Lily?

Lily chirped in happiness.

Cream: It likes the name, Amy.

Amy: Huh! Then Lily it is. Wherever you come from, Lily, I promise I'm going to get you back home.

Amy looked ahead and saw a green robot.

Robot: Subject identified.

Amy: What's that thing?

With Y/n and Sonic.

They heard Amy's screaming from a distance.

Sonic: Amy!

They ran to the source of the sound they saw Amy and Lily getting taken by the robot.

Amy: Let me go!

Cream: Please somebody help her!

Cheese: Chao, chao.

Y/n: You go save you're annoying yandere while I check on Cream and Cheese.

Sonic nodded.

Sonic: Hold on, Amy!

Sonic ran after the robot.

Amy: Sonic!

Robot: Mission accomplished.

The robot used the rockets on its feet and flew away with Amy and Lily.

Sonic: Amy!
