Narrator: Last time on "Sonic X x Male Reader," Sonic was locked up on Prison Island, in a high-tech, totally escapeproof jail. But luckily his friends were able to stage a robot busting rescue! Meanwhile, Dr. Eggman and his gang staged their own jailbreak, a break in! Their goal? To steal Chaos Emeralds and power up Eggman's Ultimate Weapon! Y/n told them that he was now working for Eggman which lead to a fierce battle between him and Amy and ended with Amy getting severely injured! Sonic and the gang except for Chris and Y/n were at the Thorndyke's new place and watching the news about Prison Island while Amy was getting her wounds treated.

Reporter: After the explosion on Prison Island, an emergency response team search for survivors. Fortunately, the team now reports that everyone made it off the island safely.

Everyone except Sonic sighed in relief.

Sonic: I told you not to worry. Chris must be okay.

Amy: But if he's not on Prison Island and he's not here... (gasp) Shadow and Y/n must've taken him to Eggman.

Sonic: Hmm. Don't worry. I won't stop working till I bring Chris back home.

Sonic trembled as he remembered when Chris saved Sonic on his first day on earth.

Reporter: In related news, authorities are still searching for Sonic the Hedgehog, who is-

Ella turned off the TV and Sonic got up from his beanbag.

Sonic: I'm gonna go find my friend Chris.

Amy: But the police are looking for you.

Sonic: Don't worry!

Sonic ran out of there.

Amy: I hope Sonic doesn't get caught again.

Mr. Tanaka: If we all search, perhaps we can find Chris!

Tails: Where should we look? Shadow and Y/n probably brought Chris to Dr. Eggman's secret base. But we don't have any idea where it is.

Chuck: Tails has a good point.

Amy: Well, if we're gonna find Chris, we'll have to find that base.

Tails: You got any ideas, Y/-

He quickly realized that Y/n wasn't with them anymore.

Tails: Oh, I guess it's not the same when he's not around anymore.

Cream looked down sad.

Ella: Cream.

Cream: I know this can't be real. There has to be some kind of mistake. Y/n would never do anything like blowing up an island and work for that mean old Eggman.

Cheese: Chao, chao.

Tails: Cream, we know it's hard to accepted, but you need to face reality. Y/n wasn't too dissimilar to Eggman before he met us.

Cream: But I thought he was better now.

Chuck: We all thought so, too.

Amy: Look at me, Cream. He did this to me! The sooner you realize that Y/n's the enemy, the better.

Cream was still sad but nodded.

With Knuckles.

He was running through a desert.

Knuckles: I'm gonna get even with that bat! She stole the Master Emerald from me.

He started to remember what happened at Angel Island.

Knuckles: Come back here.

Knuckles hit Rouge into a tree and blew off her mask.

Knuckles: You're... that girl!

Rouge flew off.

Back to present.

Knuckles felt the ground begin to shake so he ducked down. The ground stopped shaking and Knuckles looked up to see smoke and stood up.

Knuckles: Sounded like a rocket.

He ran to the source and saw it was coming from the pyramid that Eggman's base was in.

Knuckles: Eggman's base.

In Eggman's base.

Chris was looking at the stars through a window.

Chris: Whoa.

He could see the planet underneath him.

Chris: It's hard to believe that I really traveled into space.

Shadow was standing next to Chris with his arms crossed.

Chris: And we're inside a space station?

Shadow: We call this place "Space Colony Ark."

Chris: I've never heard of it before.

Shadow: It was built 50 years ago by Professor Gerald Robotnik. It's been kept secret.

Chris: Robotnik? You mean that name Y/n calls the Doctor instead of Eggman?

Shadow: Yes, but he didn't know about the actual person back then.

Chris looked out the window again.

Chris: Wow! A secret space colony. I wonder if I'm the only kid who's ever gone into space.

Shadow: You're not.

Chris: What? Then who was?

Shadow stayed silent.

Chris: Hey, you know what? You look a lot like my friend Sonic, but you act like Y/n. Are you three related?

Shadow just stared at Chris with a cold look which scared him. Shadow then saw that girl in Chris' reflection.

Shadow: (Thinking: Maria.)

He had a small flashback.

He was running away from some armed men with that girl and Gerald.

Man: Stop them! We can't let them get away!

Shadow was then inside a class pod and that girl was outside and about to pull a switch.

Girl: Listen, Shadow. I want you to promise me. Please!

Shadow: No, wait!

Girl: Whatever happens, remember, I'll always be your friend, Shadow. We always talked about going to visit the planet one day, but it looks like you'll have to go there without me. Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog!

She pulled the switch and the pod launched down to the planet.

Back to present.

Shadow: (Thinking: They'll pay for what they did, every one of them.)

Y/n walked in.

Y/n: Sup, Faker?

Shadow: Nothing much. You, Faker?

Y/n: Dr. Robotnik sent me to tell you the demonstration for the Eclipse Cannon is almost ready.

Shadow: Good to know.

Chris: Y/n, please tell me. Why are you working for Eggman?

Y/n: Because Robotnik actually understands my needs.

Chris: Your needs?

Y/n: You see, Christopher. Sometimes you must hurt in order to know. Fall in order to grow. Lose in order to gain. These things are small branches of a thing known as, "Pain."

Y/n looked out the window.

Y/n: Pain is something I've known my whole life. And once the Eclipse Cannon is ready, everyone else shall know pain.

In the control room.

Decoe and Bocoe were setting up the Chaos Emeralds.

Decoe: The Emeralds are set!

Bocoe: All six are in place and ready to power the cannon!

Eggman was messing with the panel.

Eggman: Where's the blasted plug?

Rouge was watching them.

Rouge: This junk heap's the Ultimate Weapon? Maybe it makes everybody laugh so hard, they surrender.

Eggman: The Eclipse Cannon draws its energy from Chaos Emeralds and generates enough firepower to destroy an entire planet.

Decoe: Is that true? It can really destroy a planet?

Bocoe: You know he always exaggerates.

Eggman: I can hear you!

Decoe: Never mind!

Rouge: This antique works?

Eggman: Just you wait and see! I'm going to be the ultimate big shot!

In Station Square.

Danny, Francis, and Helen were walking through the street.

Danny: What's up with Chris? I called to say hello and left a message for him, but he never called me back.

Francis: Nobody's heard anything from Chris for a long time now.

Sonic ran past them.

Helen: Hey, was that...

Danny: Yeah, it was-

Francis covered Danny's mouth.

Danny: (Muffling: What are you doing?)

A police men was next to them.

Helen: Oh, look at that!

The police officer looked at the dusk sky.

Helen: Isn't the sky pretty?

Officer: Yeah, it's going to be a beauty of a sunset.

Later that night.

Eggman appeared on all the screens everywhere with his maniacal laugh.

Eggman: This is an Eggman update! I'm here to bring you an explosive surprise!

Sonic was watching his broadcast through a window.

Sonic: What's he up to now?

Eggman: Look in the sky!

Sonic: The sky?

He looked up and had a clear view of the full moon.

Eggman: I'm coming to you plantbound bumpkins live from outer space!

He laughed maniacally again.

Eggman: Let me show you the true power of the Eggman Empire!

Chris: What's Eggman gonna do?

Y/n: Watch and find out.

Shadow smirked.

Eggman: Now, let's have a blast!

Space Colony Ark which was disguised as a meteor broke apart and became a cannon and it was aiming for the moon. Then it fired a laser at the moon and destroyed half of it. Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese saw the whole thing happened while flying in the X-Tornado.

Cream: The moon was so pretty. Why did Dr. Eggman wreck it?

Amy: It takes huge amounts of energy to do that much damage!

Tails: Chaos Emeralds. If Eggman's got enough of 'em, he can use their power to make a super weapon!

Tails looked at the yellow Chaos Emerald he had and saw it glowing bright.

Back on Space Colony Ark.

Chris: With that much power, Eggman can blow up any planet he wants!

Rouge: Eggman wasn't lying about the Eclipse Cannon. It is the Ultimate Weapon!

Eggman laughed again.

Eggman: That came from my Eclipse Cannon! And if you don't surrender to the Eggman Empire within 24 hours, I'll blow your planet away!

Sonic: I gotta find a way to stop him.

The next day.

Chris, Shadow, and Y/n were looking out the window into the planet.

Shadow: Today it's finally going to come to an end!

Chris looked at Shadow and Y/n.

Chris: Shadow. Y/n. Why did you bring me here!

Y/n: No clue what this Faker's reasons were, but I guess the reason I did it was a small reward for our friendship. Although it meant nothing, I would be lying if I said it wasn't fun hanging out with you.

Shadow got another flashback of him looking out that window with that girl.

Girl: Are you going to stare out that window all day, Shadow?

Shadow: I've seen photographs from down on the surface, but I wonder what it's like to be there. What is it what is it like to see the sky above your head? I'd like to visit there and find out.

Girl: Me, too.

Shadow: Maybe I could find some answers down there. Professor Robotnik said I'm here to do something important, though he never told me what that means. But something tells me that it's connected with that planet.

End flashback.

???: Don't you ever smile?

Rouge walked over to them.

Rouge: Hi, Chris.

Chris: Hello, Rouge.

Rouge: Aren't you glad to see me, Shadow?

Shadow stayed quiet and walked off.

Y/n: Why are you always like this?

Rouge: Oh, come on.

She wrapped on arm around Y/n and poked his check with her other hand.

Rouge: Aren't you the least bit happy to see you're old teammate?

Y/n scoffed, freed himself from Rouge's grasp and walked off, too.

Rouge: I love it when you both give me the silent treatment.

The two hedgehogs left the room.

Rouge: What's wrong with Mr. Sunshine and Chuckles?

On the planet.

Tails and Chuck were making adjustments to the X-Tornado.

Chuck: Almost done. I hope these modifications work so we can go safe Chris.

Chuck: But one Chaos Emerald isn't gonna give us enough power to make it all the way into space.

Chuck: But one is all we've got, Tails.

Tails: We've got two.

He picked up two Emeralds. One was glowing, but the other wasn't.

Chuck: You made a copy of an Emerald?

Tails: It isn't a perfect copy like that one Y/n made, Chuck, but the power it produces is almost the same.

Chuck: Come on, let's try it out!

On the Ark.

Y/n followed Shadow into his room.

Shadow: Is there a reason you're following me, Faker?

Y/n: We need to talk.

Shadow: About what?

Y/n: About what happened on Prison Island. You said something about a, "Maria." Who is that?

Shadow: None of your consurn.

Y/n: Come on, we're on the same side so the least we could do is try to get along. Even if that means we have to talk to each other about things we don't want to talk about.

Shadow: You know, you can be really annoying when you want to be.

Y/n: Well, so can you.

Shadow got mad at that point and threw a punch at Y/n who blocked it with Chaos' arm.

Chaos: Try something like that against my partner again, and I'll make sure you live to regret it.

Y/n: Thank you for that, Chaos. But I can handle it.

Shadow: You're really that interested to know?

Y/n: Yep. But I understand it's personal.

Y/n was about to walk away.

Shadow: (sigh) She was my first friend.

Y/n: (stops) That's interesting to know. What happened to her if you don't mind me asking.

Shadow: She was dying of an uncureable sickness, but what happened was that some asshole thought it was funny to come up here and shoot her, a poor, sick, defenseless girl who didn't do anything to deserve anything that's been happening to her!

Shadow slammed his fist on the wall.

Y/n: I understand how you feel, Shadow.

Shadow: How? How could you possibly understand what I went through?!

Y/n: Believe it or not, I've had my fair share of losses, too. My mother died of an illness when was a mouth old, my father died in a terrible lab explosion, and I even killed my Aunt Cathy in retaliation. And I didn't stop there. After that, I killed anyone I came across. Whether they were men, women, or children I killed them without a moment of hesitation and with no remorse.

Shadow: I see. Wait here.

Shadow ran off and came back with a picture.

Shadow: This is her.

He showed the picture to Y/n and it was that girl Shadow keeps thinking about.

Y/n: She's like Helen.

Shadow: Who?

Y/n: She was someone I grew close to when I was on the planet. She was born with the inability to walk. I think we're more alike than we thought, Shadow.

Shadow: That might be the first time you and I agree on something.

Y/n: Yeah, our human friends were dealt terrible hands in life, but they never lit it rot them from the inside. That's probably my favorite part about both of them. Just know though, if someone were to do some much as lay a finger on a single hair on her head, I'll take it very personally.

Shadow: Good to know.

Back on the planet.

Sonic was running from a bunch of police for awhile until he lost them.

Sonic: Guess I lost 'em.

He heard rumbling.

Sonic: What's that?

Knuckles was fighting of government robots and Sonic stepped in to help.

Knuckles: Where've you been?

Sonic: Hey, how's it going, Knuckles?

Knuckles: Not bad, except that I'm in the middle of a battle right now.

Knuckles punched in Sonic's direction who moved and Knuckles hit down a robot.

Sonic: It's lucky my reflexes are quicker than Knuckles' temper!

Sonic and Knuckles continued to fight the robot until Mr. Tanaka showed up in a motorcycle and a yellow jump suit drove the robots away while Cream with a few bandages on her opened a sewer top from below.

Cream: He's only distracting them. Quick, follow me.

In the President's limo.

He was talking to Eggman through the TV.

President: Tell me what your demands and perhaps we can work out an agreement.

Eggman: (laughing) Mr. President, that's very reasonable of you. I only have one demand to make if you want to escape my wrath. And if you fail to comply, I have one penalty. Either you agree to become part of my empire, or else...

President: Or else what?

Eggman: Your entire planet will be blown to bits.

President: Hmm.

Eggman: Well, what is your answer?

President: Ugh, I can't!

Eggman: You can't what?

President: I can't give you an answer. Not yet.

Eggman: You're just stalling, trying to give your military enough time to organize a counterattack against me. It is useless to resist. I expect your answer within 12 hours.

Eggman cut off connection and the President fell on his knees.

President: What can I do? 12 hours is not enough time to stop him from destroying the planet.

Sam: You know, there is a bright side to all this, Mr. President.

President: What might that be?

Sam: If the planet's destroyed, you won't have to worry about balancing the budget anymore.

At the desert Knuckles was at before.

The gang was driving through it

Knuckles: What?! Y/n is working for Eggman now?

Sonic: Yeah. Out of all of us, Cream has got to be taking it the hardest.

Cream was looking down sad

Sonic: We'll worry about this later. You found Eggman's base, but did you find out what happened to Chris?

Knuckles: Shadow took him up into space and I think the bat who stole the Master Emerald and Y/n were with him, too.

Sonic: Really?

Knuckles: I'll teach her a lesson.

Amy: As will I for that jerk, Y/n.

Cream got even more sad, but remember what Y/n said to her.

Y/n: You mustn't tell the others about the plan. For it to work, I need to make my act as believable as possible. So, if they talk trash about me, don't let it effect you.

Cream popped back into reality and continued to just stare at the desert.

Mr. Tanaka: There is Eggman's base.

They stopped in front of the pyramid.

Amy: This place could be dangerous, so be careful, Cream and Cheese.

Cream: We will, Amy. Especially, since I've been keeping up with Big- Y/n's training.

Sonic: Is that why you have bandages?

Cream: Yeah, he said the final step of Spin Dash was to focus all the power you have in front of you and when you connect with your target, release it all at once. I'm starting by destroying trees and working my way up to destroying boulders and then metal.

Amy: That jerk is still working you too hard even when he's not around.

Sonic: You sure you should be fighting, Amy? You're injuries haven't fully recovered yet.

Amy: I'm happy that you care, Sonic, but I'll see to it that Y/n is in even more pain after I fight him again.

Topaz was watching them from behind a pillar.

Topaz: Sonic and the others are entering the base. I'll follow them in.

Inside the pyramid.

They were met by a metal door that Amy tried to bust down with her hammer.

Amy: No luck.

Mr. Tanaka took a closer look at the door.

Mr. Tanaka: There is a keyhole, which means there must be a key somewhere.

Everyone looked at Knuckles.

Knuckles: Hey, why you looking at me?

Sonic: Well, you're a treasure hunter. Can't you find it?

Knuckles: Ugh, no way! A key isn't a treasure!

Mr. Tanaka: A real treasure hunter should not have any difficulty finding something as simple as a key.

Amy: How do we know you haven't been pretending to be a treasure hunter all this time?

Cream: Maybe Knuckles is a treasure hunter, but he's just not a very good one.

Knuckles: Fine! I'll look!

He went looking for it.

Knuckles: This is exactly why I like to work alone!

Bokkun was leaning against the wall in front of Knuckles.

Bokkun: I hope you know you're trespassing, Knuckles.

Knuckles: I don't have time to play any games with you, Bokkun. Scram!

Bokkun: If you don't leave on your own, I'm gonna have to make you leave.

Knuckles: Oh, yeah?

Knuckles was about to hit Bokkun but stopped himself.

Knuckles: (Thinking: No, I have to go find that key.)

Knuckles walked passed Bokkun.

Bokkun: I warned ya!

He pulled a remote out of his pouch.

Bokkun: Go clobber him, Egg Golem!

He pushed the button and the pyramid started to shake then Knuckles ran back to the gang.

Cream: Knuckles found the key already?

Sonic: 'Fraid not.

Knuckles was running from a gaint man made of stone.

Sonic: Looks like Knuckles ran into some trouble, about 15 tons of it!

Bokkun was on top of the Egg Golem and seemed to be controlling it.

Bokkun: Let's give this a try.

The Egg Golem threw a punch which Knuckles dodged and the punch broke the door down.

Knuckles: I got the door open. Now are you happy?

Sonic: I guess.

The Egg Golem walked to Sonic and Knuckles.

Bokkun: Here's the spin cycle.

Egg Golem hit Knuckles into a wall with a spinning punch.

Sonic: I'll stop that thing!

Sonic ran around the spinning arm and went for Bokkun.

Bokkun: Here's the clap trap!

Egg Golem caught Sonic with a clap and hit his forehead then dropped him.

Bokkun: (giggle) Nice going! You really are hammered those guys!

Sonic and Knuckles both got up and looked at each other.

Sonic: Have you had enough?

Knuckles: Yeah, I think we can finish it off now.

Egg Golem did his spin cycle again while Sonic attempted to counter with Spin dash.

Bokkun: Give him a headbutt again!

While the Egg Golem was focusing on Sonic, Knuckles hit its leg so Sonic could easily take it down with Spin dash.

Sonic: Well, that was easy.

Knuckles: Piece of cake.

Bokkun: Not so fast!

Bokkun pressed a button and the Egg Golem got up.

Sonic: Give it up, Bokkun.

Bokkun: No way! Look what I've got!

The Egg Golem was holding Topaz in its grasp.

Knuckles: Oh, great, why is she here?

Mr. Tanaka distracted Bokkun while Cream snook up behind him and took the remote.

Bokkun: Hey, no fair, gimme back my controller!

Amy: Finders keepers!

Cheese: Chao, chao!

Cream messed with the buttons which made Egg Golem drop Topaz and run after Bokkun. Before Topaz hit the ground, Mr. Tanaka caught her.

Mr. Tanaka: I hope that brute did not hurt you, miss.

Topaz: I'm fine.

Tails flew to the base in the X-Tornado.

Tails: There's the base.

The pyramid top opened.

Tails: I'll land inside.

He went through the roof and landed the X-Tornado in X-Cyclone mode.

Tails: I did it, Sonic! I adapted the X-Tornado, so we can take it into space. Uh, we might have a little problem, though. It only seats four.

Amy: If you're bringing Chris back, only two of us can ride with you.

Tails: Yeah, that's right.

Sonic: Then let's take this space shuttle!

Sonic pointed to the space shuttle behind them.

Mr. Tanaka: I agree with Sonic.

Knuckles: Yeah.

Tails: Guess I did all that work for nothing.

Amy: What about Cream and Cheese?

Topaz: Well, I could take care of them.

Mr. Tanaka: Thank you, miss.

Topaz: Sure.

Amy: It'll probably be for the best. If she sees that jerk Y/n, he'll lie to her all over again.

Cream's eyes were covered by a shadow now.

Amy: How shameful is that? Taking advantage of a kid's feelings like that. But what should I expect from a selfish, brooding, horrible, jerk like Y/n.

Cream started to tremble a bit.

Cream: (Thinking: I'm sorry, Y/n. But I can't let this slide anymore.)

Amy noticed Cream shaking.

Amy: Cream, are you okay?

Cream gave Amy a tight slap in the face which shocked everyone.

Tails: Cream, why'd you do that?!

Cream with teary eyes ran out of there without a word.

Topaz: You go ahead, I'll go talk to her.

Sonic: Let's go.

Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and Mr. Tanaka got in the space shuttle and it started to count down.

Announcer: Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, ignition!

It took off into the sky.

Sonic: (Thinking: Hang on, Chris, hang on.)

The space shuttle left the atmosphere.
