Inside the Thorndyke's residence.

Chris was holding a cell phone.

Chris: Hey, Sonic, I got you a cell phone. This is gonna make things a lot easier.

Sonic grabbed the phone and had an unimpressed face.

Sonic: Oh, really?

Chris: Yeah, don't you see? Now we'll be able to reach each other right away, even when you're out on a run. We can talk anywhere now. No sweat.

Sonic moans.

Chris: Now make sure you leave it on.

Tails, Amy, and Y/n walked in.

Tails: Hey, Chris, it's time to get going.

Sonic: Huh?

Amy: We've been waiting outside for you.

Chris: Oops, I forgot.

Sonic: Where are you guys going?

Amy: Now that we can go out in public, we're heading to Station Square to go shopping. We've spent weeks hunting down Chaos Emeralds, but now it's time to do some bargain hunting, so I'm gonna shop 'til I drop. There's no point wanting you to take me, because I don't know where you are most of the time.

Y/n: And yet you call yourself his girlfriend.

Amy noticed Sonic's phone.

Amy: Oh! We can stay connected all the time.

Sonic: No thanks.

He tossed his phone to Amy.

Amy: Huh?

Sonic than ran out of there.

Chris: Hey, Sonic! What about your cell phone?

Sonic quickly came back.

Sonic: Leave a message for me.

Y/n hit him is the head.

Sonic: Ow!

Y/n: You came back here just to say that? Just go, Faker.

Sonic: I was gonna do that anyway.

Sonic ran off again.

Tails: I guess he wants to be left alone.

Amy: But why can't he be left alone with me?

Y/n: If you were with him then he wouldn't be alone.

Chris: So, did you throw the phone I gave you away too, Y/n?

Y/n: No, but I did take it apart and use some of those parts to put a communication function in my right bracelet.

Chris: Well, that works too.

Ella was driving a car with Chris in the passenger seat, and Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Y/n were in the back with drinks.

Chris: I don't understand why Sonic doesn't want me calling him?

Amy: Unfortunately, Sonic is the kind of guy who needs lots of privacy.

Y/n: Yet you try to invade his privacy.

Chris: But what'll we do if there's an emergency? Without a phone, we don't have a way to reach him.

Tails: Don't worry, Chris. No matter where Sonic is, he has a way of showing up when he has to.

Chris: Are you sure?

Everyone except Y/n: Count on it.

Cheese: Cha-chao!

Y/n: But on the chance of him being a lazy bastard, which he is, that's why I'm here.

Tails: And how do you suppose you'll be able to handle it, Y/n?

Y/n: (intimidating look) Are you questioning my capabilities, Tails?

Tails: Uh, n-no. Of c-course not. It just uh-

Cream: I believe Y/n can handle anything.

Y/n: A kid two years younger than you has a better understanding of my capabilities than you do, Tails. How does that feel?

Tails: Okay, I get it, I was wrong. Please don't hurt me.

Y/n: I won't, don't worry. By the way, where did you say we were going to shop at again, Ella?

They were in a really huge mall where Cream, Cheese, Ella and Y/n were in a clothes shop and Cheese was bouncing on a sweater.

Cheese: Chao! Chao! Chao!

Y/n: Will you stop bouncing on that? That is really annoying, and I'm talking Amy annoying.

Amy came out of a dressing room where she was now wearing a green dress with a big yellow bow tie.

Amy: What did you just say?

Y/n looked at her clothes.

Y/n: What are you wearing?

Amy: I thought I'd change up my wardrobe a bit. You don't like it?

Y/n: If I'm giving you my honest opinion, it makes you look like a dwarf, all you're missing is your stupid hat.

Amy: Okay, what about this one?

Amy went back into the dressing room and she came out now wearing a black school girl outfit with a blue neck tie with a yellow cloth wrapped around her waist.

Amy: Ah!

Y/n: With that attire you should be in the perfect condition to stalk Sonic now.

Amy: Here's one that not even you will be able to hate.

She walked back into the dressing room and came out with a blue buttoned-up coat and a scarlet red fedora with a small yellow flower on it.

Y/n: Okay, I do admit I like the coat.

Amy: See, I told you you wouldn't hate it.

They then noticed everyone else in the shop staring at them.

Everyone in the shop: Huh?

Y/n: What are you all looking at?

Everyone except for a woman ran off.

Y/n: That was weird.

The woman who didn't ran off walked to Y/n.

Woman: Excuse me, You're Y/n the Hedgehog, right?

Y/n: I am.

Woman: Well, here's something I recommend for you.

She gave Y/n a light brown trench coat in his size.

Woman: I personally think it's your style.

Y/n took it.

Y/n: Thank you. I'll be sure to wear it sometime.

The woman nodded and walked off.

Amy: That was nice of her, and it was nice of you to accept it.

Y/n: Yeah, to tell you the truth, I'm not really much of a clothes guy.

Amy: Except for that scarf you wear.

Y/n: Yeah.

Amy: What would you do if I... (took Y/n's scarf off) took it off?

Y/n punched her in the nose.

Amy: Ow!

Y/n then took the scarf from her and put it back on.

Y/n: That is what I would do.

Amy's nose started bleeding.

Amy: It's against the law to hit a girl you know!

Y/n: That's true, but there ain't no law saying you can't smake a bitch. Now listen, I'm going to pay for this coat and go check on Chris and Tails, you will take care of Cream with Ella, understood?

Amy: I would do that even if you didn't ask.

Y/n ran to the register.

With Chris and Tails.

Chris was holding a box with a robot panda figure in it.

Chris: That is so cool. This figure has kung fu kick action.

Y/n showed up with a bag in his hand.

Y/n: You can't believe everything you read on a box you know.

Chris: Ha. I guess not.

Tails: Hey, Chris, Y/n, look.

They both saw everyone in the toy shop looking at them.

Chris: You think they want this toy?

Y/n: I doubt it. The same thing happened to me and Amy at the clothes shop.

Tails: They're staring at me and Y/n.

A little boy than started to drag Tails by his tails.

Boy: I want this one! Can we buy it, Mommy?

Tails groaned.

Y/n: Please let go of my friend.

His mother picked the kid up and he let go of Tails.

Mother: Oh, I'm very sorry.

The mother ran to another woman.

Mother: Those things are the real deal. I wonder who taught them to talk. A dog trainer?

The other woman looked at her own son.

Woman: Go up to one of them and make it say something.

Chris: Uh, sorry, Tails. Are you okay?

Tails laughed nervously.

Y/n: If you want us to say something then here. You're an unlikable bit-

Chris covered his mouth and both him and Tails got Y/n out of there.

Later.

Amy, Ella, Cream and Cheese reunited with the others and Amy had a bandaid on her nose.

Amy: Chris?

Chris: Yeah?

They were in a restaurant part of the mall and as usual everyone was staring at them.

Amy: This is... very weird.

Everyone else continued to stare at them and Cream started to hug Cheese tight.

Cream: Oh! I'm scared.

Cheese: Chao, chao.

Tails: How come everybody keeps staring?

Ella: You're all big-time celebrities, ever since you have knocked out Eggman's base.

Amy: But we didn't go after Dr. Eggman to become famous. Of course, if they ask me to appear on TV or magazine covers, I won't turn 'em down.

Y/n: Please, if anyone asked you to be on a magazine cover they probably already know they already messed it up enough as they did.

Amy: I'll smash you through this table right here and now, Y/n.

Y/n: I'll cut your arms and gouge your eyes out before you can even touch me.

Ella: All right, that's enough!

Tails: Yeah, what example are you setting for everyone?

Cream: Please just try to get along.

Y/n: Fine. But only because of Cream

Chris: Sorry, guess it'll take a while for people to get used to guys here.

Tails: I'm not so sure they'll ever get used to having us here.

Y/n: I know it may seem like that, Tails. But everyone gets used to something over time. I mean, when I first met you all, I thought I was never going to get used to having anyone be around me again, but look at me now.

Tails: You have made a lot of progress so far. I guess you're right, Y/n.

Man: Say cheese!

A camera flashed at them.

Woman: Look over here! Smile!

Another camera flash at them and than more and more flashed at them until Ella rose up.

Ella: No more photographs!

Y/n followed her lead.

Y/n: Take one more picture and I'll smake that camera right out of your hand and smash it right in front of you!

Y/n and Ella gave everyone death glares which caused them all to stop staring and Chris sighed.

Chris: Let's try someplace else.

Y/n: Okay. Come on, Cream. I'll carry you.

Cream saw that his face was really tense.

Cream: (Thinking: I think he needs me to help him calm down.) Okay.

Later.

The gang was now waiting to go into the VIP room and Cream was still holding Cheese while she was on Y/n's back and they finally were being escorted by a waiter.

Waiter: Right this way.

They started to follow the waiter and Amy stayed back.

Chris: Come on, Amy.

Amy followed after them and they were in this really fancy dining room where a bunch sophisticated looking people were eating.

Woman: Oh my, they allow pets in here?

Woman 2: Instead of escorting those beasts into our dining room and creating a scene, they should check them into the coatroom with the rest of the furs.

Y/n started to get mad.

Y/n: Wanna say all of that to my face?!

Cream patted his head.

Cream: Calm down, Y/n. I'm here.

Y/n began to calm down.

Y/n: Thanks, Cream. Sometimes I don't what I'd do without you.

Cream smiled.

Cream: No problem.

They finally got to their table.

Waiter: I'll be right back with your menus.

The waiter left.

Chris: This is a private club, so we won't get hassled.

Y/n: Yet, I saw a few people look at us sideways.

A bunch of people came to them.

Woman: I saw how brave your friends were on TV. May I ask for their pawprints?

Another woman pat Cheese on the head.

Woman 2: It's adorable!

Cheese: Chao!

Woman 2: Oh, what a cutie!

Woman 3: Excuse me, you're Y/n the Hedgehog, right? You've got to tell me where you got those fabulous bracelets.

Y/n: Like hell I'd tell you.

A bunch of people started to surround them and they grabbed them.

Amy: All right, get your hands off of me! I just want some lunch!

Chris: Yeah! This is supposed to be a fancy restaurant. Not a wrestling ring!

Tails: Ugh, I want to go back home, Chris!

Cream: Me too!

Y/n scared some of them off with his blades and he was able to get Cream and Cheese out of there.

Y/n: I'm taking her somewhere else!

He ran off with Cream and Cheese.

Amy: Oh sure, save Cream and Cheese and leave the rest of us to deal with these people.

A woman grabbed one of Amy's quills.

Woman: Is this your natural color?

Amy: (laughs politely) Will you please go away?!

With Y/n, Cream and Cheese.

Y/n: All right, I think I got you out of that.

Cream: Will everyone else be okay?

Y/n: Ella is with them, they'll be fine.

Cream: If you say so.

Y/n's right bracelet started blinking.

Cream: What's up with your bracelet?

Y/n: This is the communication function.

He tapped it and Chris started talking through the bracelet.

Chris: Y/n, you there?

Y/n: Yep, and Cream and Cheese are with me in case you were wondering.

Chris: Well, everything has calmed down and we're in a sitting room, do you think you could meet us here.

Y/n: Sure.

He hung up and ran to the sitting room.

Cream: Hi, guys.

Ella: Cream, Cheese, you're both safe.

Cream: Yeah, thanks to Y/n.

Chris: You know, you can't just run away with Cream and Cheese whenever you feel like it.

Y/n: They liked it when I got her out of there.

Cream: We did.

Cheese: Chao, chao.

Amy: What a waste! Our shopping spree was a flop.

Y/n: In these people's defense, all I bought was a trench coat.

Chris: I'm sure things'll get a lot easier once people get used to seeing you around. Huh?

Tails: What's wrong, Chris?

Chris: Look!

He pointed outside and they all saw this giant airship.

Chris: It's Eggman, isn't it?

Tails: That's him.

Eggman: He, he, he, he! You losers are about to learn that you can never defeat me! I'm like a rubber ball. Every time you try to slap me down, I just keep bouncing back. Since your government attacked me and destroyed my base, I'm going to destroy your city. And rebuild my headquarters right here.

A bunch of robots with wrecking balls fell from his airship and started to wreck everything as people screamed and ran for their lives even the gang.

Tails: There's nowhere to go. The whole city'll be wrecked if this demolition derby keeps up.

Y/n: All right, here's the plan. Ella, you take everyone to safety. Tails and Amy, as soon as you get home grab the X-Tornado and come back here as soon as you do. I'll stay here and destroy as many of these things as I can.

Tails: That sounds like a good plan!

Cream: Will you be okay, Y/n.

Y/n: I'll be fine, just worry about you.

Y/n ran off and as soon as the gang got to the car a wrecking robot smashed it and was about to smash them when someothing went through it.

Tails: Let's move it! Hurry!

More robots kept getting destroyed by two blue lights and then the lights ran up a tall building and they revealed to be Y/n and... Sonic.

Chris: It's Sonic!

Tails: See? Didn't I tell you he'd show up just in time?

Cream: And I think this shows that Y/n can also be reliable.

Y/n smiled.

Y/n: I was wondering if you'd ever show up, Faker.

Sonic: Well, you don't have to wonder anymore.

Eggman: Let's play, Sonic and Y/n, for keeps.

Sonic: Fine with us, Eggman. Take your best shot!

Y/n: And then we'll shoot you with an even better one!

Eggman: Steady, ready, fire!

He fired two sets of missiles at them and Sonic ran from his while Y/n slashed his in half and Sonic used his missiles to destroy Eggman's robots.

Yellow robot: I heard of a sonic boom, but this is ridiculous.

Silver robot: Yeah, and talk about slice and dice.

Y/n and Sonic continued to destroy robots and Sonic tried to use a skyscraper to get to Eggman's ship but he couldn't reach it.

Amy: Oh no, he can't reach Eggman's ship.

Ella: And if Sonic couldn't do it, I doubt Y/n can.

Tails: Looks like we'll be doing Y/n's plan after all.

Chris: But without a car we'll never get the X Tornado in time.

Suddenly, a white Formula 1 car pulled up and hunked at them and when the since the car's window were transparent they could see it was Chris's uncle Sam.

Sam: You need a lift?

Chris: Uncle Sam!

They all got in and Sam drove fast.

Sam: I'll get you home in a flash. Buckle up for safety.

He went faster and made a sharp turn to the right.

Meanwhile.

Sonic and Y/n were now fighting drones that Eggman made and as the drones shot lasers at the hedgehogs they split up and Sonic thought he lost them in an alleyway but the drones found him and started to shoot at him.

Sonic: Whoa!

They chased after Sonic as he ran and Y/n destroyed the drones with his blades.

Sonic: Hey, thanks.

Y/n: Well, someone has to be here to bail you out, idiot.

More drones showed up and both Y/n and Sonic had the same idea to use the drones to get to Eggman's ship.

Eggman: Huh? Grr, they can't be!

Yellow robot: You can blow Sonic and Y/n out of the sky if you order those Falcons to self-destruct.

Eggman: Excellent idea.

The Falcons started to blink before they exploded and as Sonic and Y/n jumped and they're now hanging on to the ship tightly. As they slowly started to slip it made a piercing screeching sound.

Eggman: Sonic and Y/n are pains in the ears! Stop it! Cut it out!

They finally slipped and they successfully landed on a rooftop.

Y/n: How the the hell did we not brake our legs?

Eggman: Finish them off!

Eggman pushed a button and a bunch of small green ball flying robots flew to Sonic and Y/n and shot beams at them but they were able to get away.

Meanwhile.

Sam and everyone else were still on the road.

Chris: Hey, do you think you could slow down a bit?

Sam: Are you kidding?

Everyone: Huh?

They saw those robots coming towards them and one got the car's tire and all of them surrounded the car. As the robots were about to fire at them Mr. Stewart came out of nowhere and used a mirror to deflect the beams at the robots and destroyed them.

Chris: Hey, thanks, Mr. Stewart.

Mr. Stewart: No problem. Are you all okay?

Sam got out of the car.

Sam: Hey, I know you.

Mr. Stewart: Yes, we met at a party at Chris' house. I'm his teacher, Mr. Stewart.

Sam: Yeah, now I remember. I forget things fast, but I remember 'em even faster.

Mr. Stewart: And I believe you're Chris' uncle, Mister-

Sam: "Mister" is what they call my dad. Just call me Sam!

Amy: Hey!

Both of them: Huh?

Amy: Aren't you forgetting we have to get something?

Tails: The X Tornado.

Sam: Yeah, that's right. Let's go.

He started to push Mr. Stewart in the car.

Mr. Stewart: But where are we going?

Sam: Get in!

He finally pushed Mr. Stewart in.

Sam: Hang on, gang!

They started to drive again and as they were driving more of those robots showed up.

Chris: Sam, speed it up!

Mr. Stewart: I can't reach my mirror.

The robots were getting ready to shoot.

Chris: Ah, they're gonna fire.

Before they could though, a truck ran them over.

Chris: Ah! Huh?

The truck was a semi truck and it was being drove by Mr. Tanaka.

Chris: All right.

Tails: You brought the X Tornado!

Back with Sonic and Y/n.

They were still running from those robots until they saw Tails, Amy and Chris in the X Tornado.

Sonic: The X Tornado!

Y/n: It's about time.

They jumped up high and the X Tornado threw a Power ring at Sonic and he caught it which allowed Y/n and Sonic to destroy those robots with Spin dash. Then when the hedgehogs landed on the X Tornado they all flew to Eggman's ship.

Eggman: Get them now! Blast away!

He shot lasers at them but they were able to dodge but the Mayor's office got hit.

Chris: We can't fight Eggman here. Those buildings will get wrecked.

Tails: Chris is right. We have to get Eggman away from the city somehow.

Y/n: This is Robotnik were talking about, anywhere Sonic goes Robotnik is sure to follow.

Sonic: Right! Leave it to me.

They got right in front of the ship and Sonic started to taunt Eggman and the X Tornado flew out of there.

Eggman: I've had it with that hog. That's the last time he'll dis me. Move it! Turn this ship around and go after Sonic!

Yellow robot: What chance does he have against Sonic working with Y/n?

Silver robot: I estimate his chance of defeating Sonic and Y/n at zero.

The airship followed after the X Tornado.

Sonic: It worked.

Y/n: Have any of my plans ever not work?

Eggman started to fire lasers at them but they kept missing.

Eggman: Charge up the Blaster Cannon.

The robots started hitting buttons.

Eggman: Fire!

The Blaster Cannon fired at the X-Tornado and it seemingly got hit.

Eggman: (chuckle) Victory! Oh?

The X Tornado came out of the explosion unharmed on the outside, but on the inside.

Tails: The energy circuit got fried. We're in trouble.

Chris: What's wrong?

Tails: In a few seconds we'll lose power, and then we're gonna be sitting ducks.

Amy: Ah! Oh, no.

Eggman: I won't miss Sonic and Y/n this time. Get ready for another blast!

The robot went around frantically trying to recharge the Cannon.

Yellow robot: I could use an oil change.

Silver robot: We take care of other robots, but who takes care of us?

Eggman: Get moving!

Sonic: So the X-Tornado can only fly at full speed for a few more seconds?

Tails: Yeah, if we're lucky.

Y/n: If we're going to defeat Robotnik, we need to do it now.

Sonic: Okay. Then we should fly full speed at the bridge.

Chris: But that's crazy.

Y/n: I agree, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Sonic: Trust me, this is our only chance.

They flew towards the bridge.

Eggman: Is the Blaster Cannon powered up yet?

Yellow robot: Almost, doctor.

Silver robot: Huh? It appears we have company.

Eggman: Ooh.

The X-Tornado was in front of Eggman's airship.

Eggman: What is this?

Y/n: Just give me one, Tails.

Tails: Are you sure?

Y/n: One is all I need.

Tails: If you say so.

Sonic extended both his arms while Y/n just extended one and three power rings came out of the X Tornado. Two went to Sonic and he started to glow with a cyan light blue aura while only one went to Y/n and he got a royal blue aura.

Tails: Hang on. Here we go.

They started to move in.

Eggman: Blow them away.

Yellow robot: The cannon is still recharging.

Y/n: This is our chance, Faker!

Sonic: We can do it, buddy!

They both jumped and got into their Spin dashs and went for the ship lasers fired at them but they didn't connect with the targets.

Eggman: Oh, no!

They went straight through the airship and it exploded and sunk into the sea then they all land on a ship.

Chris: Great job, Sonic and Y/n!

Amy got out and was about to hug Y/n but Y/n upper cuted her.

Y/n: I'm Y/n, the other one is Sonic.

Amy: How could I have confused a jerk like you for Sonic?

She hugged the real Sonic tightly.

Amy: My hero.

Sonic: Woah!

Tails: Well, we stopped Eggman again, but I'll bet he'll be back.

Chris: Looks like we're gonna be fighting against Eggman for a long time. He'll never surrender.

Tails: You're right. Eggman's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve. This battle is only beginning.

Y/n: It doesn't matter how many tricks he has, we'll just beat them all.
