In the Blue Typhoon, everyone surrounding the lifeless Y/N who's in Shadow's arms as he had fly off to get her in deep sorrow, their hearts broken. Tears fell from their eyes. Some cries uncontrollably in a way that could break their heart. Shadow closes his eyes in sadness as he held her close. Some tried to stay strong like Knuckles, but a few tears were shed until he began to sob and hid his face with one of his gloved hand. Amy tried to comfort Cream and Cheese as she placed an arm around them for comfort, knowing it won't help with their sadness as everyone else. She can't stop crying too as tears fell.

Vector and Charmy cries out water fountains while Espio looks away, clenching his fist as tears fell. Rouge sniffs as she tries to get the tears to stop falling as they mess up her makeup. Chris hands her the tissue as he's also crying, not believing that his best friend is gone. Sonic who's crying uncontrollably is hugging Tails who can't stop crying either.

Y/N and Cosmo are in a white light.

"Y/N, thank you."

"I did what I have to. At least, we're together."

"We had fun, didn't we?"

She recalls the party they had.

"For some reason, the only thing I can remember is everyone's smiling faces."

"Cosmo..."

"But I'm afraid, we can't be together."

"What?"

"Y/N, your brother, and your friends need you."

"But... We're here now. I can't leave you."

Cosmo places a hand on her cheek.

"I want you to be happy and have a life you deserve. We'll meet again one day. There's someone else who loves you more than anything and want you back."

Y/N sniffs and hugs her.

"I'll never forget you, Cosmo. I'll miss you."

Cosmo hugs back and pulls away.

"Y/N..."

She spins around a few times...

"I love you. I'll miss you, too."

...before vanishing.

Shadow still held her body when a voice called in his head.

"Shadow."

His eyes widen in recognization and look around. The spirit of Cosmo appears before him.

"You can save Y/N."

He stayed silent as if asking her how.

"There's a power of life from the rose from my planet. The only way to do it is true loves kiss. It will bring her back to life."

Cosmo held out a beautiful red rose as they sparkle up.

"I have been keeping this close to me to one day use it to save someone I love dearly. You deserve to use it. I know how much you love her more than anything in the world. I want her to be happy."

Shadow silently takes the rose from her.

"Thanks... Cosmo..."

Cosmo smiles and waves him goodbye before disappearing. Shadow stares at the rose in his hand and places it where Y/N's chest is and slowly leans down. He stops for a bit and whispers something that no one could hear before he kisses her. Sonic who's still crying notices Shadow kiss Y/N, and surprisingly, he doesn't care as he thought Shadow kiss her goodbye when a light shines him and everyone else. They stopped crying and noticed a rose that was on Y/N's chest began to glow and petals fall out and spins around her beautifully as she started to float. Everyone looks on in awe and confusion on what's happening to her. Then, something happens. Something around her neck is restoring something as all the petals fly towards her chest and began to combine together.

After it stopped glowing, Y/N floated down gently back to the ground and everyone immediately recognized, seeing the red amulet around her neck. Cosmo's amulet. All of the sudden, they hear a groan and look to see Y/N's eyes slowly opened, raising her arm toward her head as if she had fallen asleep. She looks up to see Shadow looking down at her with relief and happiness.

"Shadow?"

Shadow didn't say anything and hug her tight, much to her surprise. All eyes went from wide to smiles appearing on their faces as their tears stop falling. Y/N smiles, realizing what happen to her and hugs Shadow back. Everyone began to cheer in joy. They all hugged each other and jumped up and down. Sonic runs over and pushes Shadow out of the way, much to his dismay and hugs Y/N, but more tighter than ever. Y/N hugs back her brother, tearing up happily. Everyone then surround her and gave her a group hug, along with Eggman and his henchbots.

Then there is a meteror shower akin to the one that happened when Cosmo first arrived. Everyone stopped hugging and looked.

"Wow." Bokkun said, looking at the window.

"It's like a meteor shower." Decoe said.

"It's beautiful... It's beautifully sad." Bocoe said.

"They're all Planet Eggs!"

"There must be thousands, or millions of them!"

"They are all returning home, to the planets they came from.  ... Man, I sounded cool!" Eggman said.

"Cosmo... Thank you."

Y/N looks down at the amulet, smiling fondly as it gave a gleam on the gem.

Mobius has returned to normal. It is no longer a giant forest. At the Chaotix's office, a sign over their door reads 'We've Departed to Space! New Chaotix Detectives'. Espio is meditating. Vector is sleeping on the couch, having consumed all kinds of fast food. He hears a ringing sound.

"It's so loud! Charmy! Telephone!"

Charmy emerges from a locker.

"It's not the phone. It's the doorbell."

"It doesn't matter! Just answer it!"

"You can answer it too, you know."

He starts to fly to the door.

"If it's for a newspaper subscription, we don't want it!" Vector said.

"That sounds like a bad idea for a detective. You won't keep up with the world's current events."

Charmy approaches the door.

"Who is it?"

He opens it to see Vanilla.

"Hello." she greeted with a smile on her face.

Vector shoves Charmy out of the way. He does not see who is at the door.

"Thank you for coming. I'm Vector."

"Yes, I know."

Everyone is having sweets outside.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me." Vanilla thanked them.

"It's no big deal." Vector winked. "It's our job."

"Stop flirting. It's disgusting." Espio said.

"Says the guy that flirts around Y/N." Vector fired him back, causing Espio to be quiet and look down, blushing in embarrassment.

"Your cake is the best!" Charmy smiled.

"There's plenty, so please help yourself."

"Thank you." Espio said, snapping out of his embarrassment.

Charmy tears up in joy.

"We won't have to worry about our food expenses!"

Vector is also stuffing his face.

"Don't talk about things like that!"

"We haven't had any clients since returning home. But we're in debt because we rebuilt our office. We're in financial trouble again this month." Charmy said.

"I'll bring something more filling next time." Vanilla offered.

"Thank you! I accept your offer!"

"Sure."

"Espio, this isn't how your character acts." Charmy whispered.

Soon, the four of them are walking together.

"Your cake is the best!" Vector said.

"Thank you very much. Baking them was worth the trouble because you're so happy." Vanilla said.

"I ate Cream's cake before. I now understand why her cake was so delicious. You must be a good teacher!"

She giggles.

"Vector, you're very good at flattery. Now I know why Cream is recently making sweets and cakes everyday. She enjoyed receiving compliments from everyone."

"She's baking everyday?"

"Yes, everyday."

Vector rubs the back of his head.

"Since coming home, how's everyone doing?"

"It's the same as usual."

In Green Hill, Amy, Cream, and Cheese are walking together. They are carrying food.

"Mama and I baked this cake together. She also took some to Vector today." Cream said.

"For them? What a waste." Amy shook her head.

"How about you, Amy?"

Amy uncovers her dish, revealing an apple pie.

"This!"

"Wow! Apple pie! It looks delicious!"

"It's Ella's special recipe."

She covers the pie again.

"Pretty good, right?"

"With all these sweets, Tails is going to get fat."

"Yeah. He may lose his ability to fly."

"Chao chao!" Cheese said.

"What did he say?" Amy asked.

"If that happens, he wants to race Tails." Cream translated for Amy.

"Cheese will definitely win."

"Chaaaooo!"

"After filling his stomach with delicious food, he has to exercise. He has to run hard and fly around."

"And will that cheer him up?"

"It has to."

Elsewhere, there is a plant in the ground nearby. Sonic runs by it and stops atop a nearby cliff. He takes in the scenery of his reclaimed planet. - the mountains, the lakes, the forests. Y/N was leaning her back against the tree on a hill with her eyes closed as she listens to the wind and nature. Meanwhile, in Angel Island, all the Master Emerald shards are in the center of the altar. Chris and Knuckles stand before them.

"The Master Emerald should return to its normal state once its power is restored." Knuckles said.

"Will you do your chant?" Chris asked.

"Please hear me, oh Master Emerald, and be restored now! Like that?"

Chris laughs.

"You chant is pretty funny. Uh... I didn't mean that--"

"No offense taken. I think I'll let nature take its course. The Master Emerald helped save the galaxy, so it needs time to heal."

Knuckles sits on one of the steps.

"In the meantime, I decided to kick back and take it easy."

He crosses his legs and links his hands behind his head.

"We deserve a rest too Chris."

"I guess so."

Chris sits down next to Knuckles.

"Since it looks like I'm gonna be staying here I'm wondering how I could go about building myself a house."

"Huh? What do you mean how? You just go ahead and build it."

"You make it sound so easy, but its not so simple. There's a lot to think about, like where would I build it?"

"What do you mean where? There's tons of land all around you. Just pick a spot."

"What if that spot belongs to someone else?"

"Someone's land? Is his name written in the ground?"

Knuckles laughs, but becomes serious again.

"Chris, are names written in the ground in your world?"

"Well... It's not literally written, but the land belongs to the owner." Chris replied.

"What a chore. That means you'll have to decide who owns the sky and the ocean someday."

"Yeah."

"Why do you want a house?"

"I can't stay at Cream's house forever."

"I've been sleeping outdoors all my life. Sleeping outdoors is great! Rainy days can be a hassle, but I can feel the seasons changing firsthand. The grass is my pillow, and the stars are my roof. What do you think?"

"I want a normal roof."

"I see."

"Hey Knuckles, I'm really happy for all you guys, being home and all. And Y/N is alive and well."

"Yeah... It sure is nice. Even, Y/N."

The Crimson Egg is parked at the beach. Rouge was flying around, wondering where Shadow had gone off to. After they landed in Mobius, Shadow went off somewhere. She shrugged, knowing she'll see him again. As she flies, she look down to see Y/N resting underneath the tree and smile before flying off.

Tails had a workshop set up at another part of the beach. Tails is working on the X-Tornado. Amy and Cream arrive.

"Tails!"

"Chao chao!"

A grease-stained Tails looks up from his work.

"Hi!"

Amy and Cream enter. Y/N smiles, knowing everything is in peace once again. Vector is storming after Charmy for painting on him. A drawing of Cream is shown.  Knuckles rests next to the shattered Master Emerald. Amy, Cream, Cheese, and Tails enjoying the food. Sonic is running like the wind.

Right now, Chris is walking alone.

"Hey Chris! I got something for ya!"

He looks up to see Bokkun flying toward him.

"If it's from Eggman, I don't want it."

Bokkun lands.

"How'd ya know? I think this is my most explosive delivery ever. You'll get a real bang out of it."

He pulls an envelope from his bag.

"Here!"

Chris hides behind a tree, expecting a television bomb.

"Come out here!"

"No way!"

"But Chris, I promise it's not a trick. Dr. Eggman's sending you a present."

Chris is surprised.

"Really?"

As Y/N is resting underneath the tree, she hears Cosmo's voice in the air.

"Y/N. Send a message to all of my wonderful friend. Tell them I'm alright. I am with my mother. We have found a new home filled with peace and tranquility. Harmony reigns here, and we are as one with nature. Tell them all that they are noble and good and that because of them darkness has be vanquished. Look at the trees and the sky. That is where I will be."

"I will."

She stands up.

"I'm happy that I met you. It was great having you around. I'll see you, Cosmo."

As she takes of skating, seeing her brother running past by and follow him, Cosmo's voice was heard.

"Goodbye, Y/N... Goodbye.."

Chris reaches a hill, where he sees Eggman in his Eggmobile, Decoe, Bocoe, and Bokkun. There is also a rocket.

"What's this all about, Eggman?"

He holds up the envelope.

"It's exactly what I wrote there. I assume that you read it, didn't you?"

"Sure. It says it's a one-way ticket home."

"Never underestimate the superiority of Dr. Eggman's intellect."

"He gave his brain cells a real workout this time!" Bokkun said.

Chris looks at the rocket.

"That means this machine is..."

"Yes. It will instantly transport you back to your own world." Bocoe said.

"This will be its first and only voyage." Eggman added.

"So pack your stuff and let's blast off!"

"There's only enough power in its engines for one trip. After that the machine will be useless. But it should be adequate to return you to your world."

"I can't believe you went through all this trouble just for me, doctor." Chris said.

Eggman chuckles.

"Don't thank me yet, kid. Once you learn the full story, you may not want to go."

"Huh?"

"I'm absolutely certain it will return you to your planet, but I have no idea how old your body will be when you get there."

Decoe holds up a tan shirt.

"You might be 18 years old again."

"Or you might shrink even more and become 6 years old." Bokkun said.

Bocoe holds up an infant's pajamas.

"Or you might even become a baby!"

"It's so thrilling!"

"Even if I can't return to my original age, I don't want to shrink even more." Chris said.

"Then what will you do? Will you not go?" Eggman asked.

"I'll go. I trust your machine, Eggman."

"...Way to ruin the mood, idiot." Bokkun pouted.

"This scene wasn't supposed to be a tearjerker." Bocoe said.

"How could you trust a villain?" Decoe asked.

"It's fine, but this next statement will surprise you. You only have three minutes left until you leave!"

"What?"

"That statement was effective!" Decoe exclaimed.

"You can't say goodbye to everyone!"

"That was nice timing, wasn't it?"

"I understand."

"What??"

Bokkun tickmarked.

"Stop fooling around! You're going to leave without saying goodbye?"

"You're cold-hearted!"

"I'm disappointed in you!"

"I promise I'll come back." Chris said.

"...Are you really going to trust this guy?" Bokkun pointed at Chris.

Eggman is irritated.

"He may be lying!" Bocoe said.

"You still might have a chance!" Decoe said.

Chris takes his seat in the capsule.

"Yeah! Maybe you can have a farewell party before you leave!"

"He can't. ... Three minutes from now, the planetary motion and magnetic interference will be ideal. That's when the two worlds will connect in space and time. It's destiny." Eggman explained sadly.

Chris is buckled in.

"Destiny?"

"Time, location, people... Destiny decides the fate of all things."

"I was able to come to this world because of destiny?"

"Most likely. Destiny also allowed me to revive Shadow. Even Dark Oak's forestation was a thousand year-old destiny."

"I see. So, then, I guess this is goodbye, Doctor."

Eggman holds up a remote.

"You have been a terrific ally and worthy enemy. Good luck."

Eggman presses the button, and the hatch closes.

"You could stay here with us, you know! I'm sure Dr. Eggman would offer you a job if you asked him. We could always use good help around here!" Bokkun said.

Chris smiles, trying to hold back tears as the hatch closes.

"Take care, Chris!"

"Say hello to your family for us."

The thrusters ignite, and the capsule lifts into the air.

"Alright, then! I'll go tell Sonic and the rest of your pals you had a smile when you left here! Are you sure you wanna go? That's too bad. We just got to be friends."

But the capsule is already high in the air. Bokkun starts crying.

"Goodbye!"

The capsule rotates so that it flies straight instead of up. Chris looks out the window.

"I wish I didn't have to rush off like this... I hope the others don't get mad at me..."

He starts to cry as he could hear everyone's voices in his head.

"What? He went home?" Knuckles asked.

"How could he!" Amy exclaimed.

"He didn't even say goodbye!" Cream said.

"Chao!"

"I'm sure he wanted to, but maybe he didn't have enough time!" Tails said. 

"Goodbye, everybody... Goodbye..."

He looks down at the path below him. He catches sight of Sonic and Y/N running and skating alongside the capsule. Chris starts crying uncontrollably, knowing he can never see his best friends again unless he builds another machine to Mobius. Sonic and Y/N looks at Chris with a smile.

"We'll be seeing you, Chris!"

"We won't forget you!"

"Goodbye... Sonic... Y/N..."

It seems as though time slows down as the capsule speeds up.

"Sonic... Y/N..."

Then, in a flash, the capsule vanishes.

Sonic and Y/N watches from a cliff. Once the capsule is gone, Eggman laughs.

"Alright! We have one less person interfering with our plans! Let's restart building the Eggman Empire!"

"Alright!" Decoe, Bocoe, and Bokkun cheered and jumped with their fists up.

"What? Eggman is at it again?" Knuckles exclaimed in shock.

"Can't he just give up already?" Amy glared in annoyance.

Sonic and Y/N continues watching the ocean from the cliff.

"What a nuisance!" Cream glared.

"Chao!" Cheese agreed.

~CREAM THE RABBIT~

It is revealed that an image of Cream is inside the locket that Rouge was using on Bokkun. She closes it with a mischievious smile and giggle.

"I'll go tease him."

~ROUGE THE BAT~

Shadow has placed a flower at a memorial site for Molly.

~SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG~

Tails climbs into the X-Tornado.

"Everyone, get on board! Let's go!"

~MILES "TAILS" PROWER~

Sonic and Y/N turns around and grins.

"I won't forgive you, Eggman!"

"Let's go, bro!"

As the X-Tornado takes off, there's a potted plant with a sprout emerging from it.

A/N: Sadly, that's the end! I'm going to miss writing Sonic X. It's been fun writing it while it last. Don't worry, I will be working on the endings for each of the love interests. Although, this story is not over yet. I'm going to be writing Sonic Archie as a sequel to Sonic X! Yay!!
