Bokkun plays Eggman's message for everyone to see. Eggman is in the Crimson Egg.

"I've secretly been working to infiltrate the Metarex and find out what they're up to. But it seems they finally found out I've been deceiving them."

Decoe and Bocoe come into view.

"Dr. Eggman, a huge Metarex battleship is closing in fast!"

"Its laser cannons are pointed right at us!"

Eggman cocks an eyebrow.

"Your panicking is pointless. Defeat is inevitable, so let's face it with dignity. The Metarex are on the move, heading toward galactic coordinates 000. One of their legends talks about a time when a thousand-year wait ends, and night and day become one. I'm not sure what it means, but my guess is something extraordinary happens in that region of space once every thousand years, and it's about to happen again."

Decoe and Bocoe panic in the background.

"The Metarex are sending every ship in their fleet to rendezvous there. You'd have to be out of your minds to try and decept them, so I assume that's what you're going to do."

He laughs as the message ends. A counter at the bottom right counts down from twenty seconds.

"I got away just as they began attacking." Bokkun informed.

"I hope you don't mind my asking, but why are those numbers on your TV counting down?" Cosmo asked.

The numbers read 0:06. Bokkun sweatdrops.

"I forgot that these messages self-destruct at the end."

Everyone else knows what will happen.

"Cover your ears! It's gonna be a big bang!"

The TV explodes.

"Heheh... Betcha you didn't know watching TV could be so exciting. You idiots!" he laughed.

"You're the idiot!" Knuckles fired back.

"That hurt, you idiot!"

"Don't cry, idiot!"

"That was not fun!" Cream voiced.

"I'll never tune in to that channel again." Amy voiced.

Everyone is gathered in an empty room.

"You can't operate the ship from here. There's no controls." Knuckles said.

"There are controls here; they're just hidden away."

Tails presses a button on his comlink, and a command chair and several screens appear.

"I built this secret bridge just in case the original one ever got wrecked."

"But can this beaten-up barge fly?" Rouge asked.

Chris sits in the seat and types on the computer.

"The ship's engines were damaged pretty bad, but we still have enough power."

He presses a red button.

"Blue Typhoon, taking off!" Tails announced, pointing forward.

They lift into the air and take off. Shadow watches them go. Y/N turned and noticed Shadow isn't here with them.

"Shadow..."

"Are you worried about Shadow, Y/N?" Cream asked, hearing her.

"Chao chao?"

"He has his own way of doing things. Let's give it our all, like always!" Sonic said, not wanting to hear Shadow's name after hearing him kiss her.

"Right." Y/N nodded.

"That's settled."

Sonic turned to Cosmo.

"Cosmo! We're gonna beat your tribe up! Prepare yourself, Dark Oak!"

"Sonic, take it easy. You'll upset Y/N." Knuckles said.

"It's fine, Knuckles."

Rouge shook her head.

"Oh my, you're being nice to a lady. Your flirting skills are improving."

Knuckles blushes in response as Rouge was seriously reffering to Y/N.

"You have the wrong idea."

"You mean you want to flirt with a different girl instead?" Sonic asked, wanting him to flirt with someone else than his sister.

"Not you too!"

Everyone laughs at Knuckles except Y/N.

"Don't laugh! It's not funny! Stop laughing!"

Y/N leaves. Sonic follows her and catches up.

"Sis?"

She turned to her brother.

"Remember what you promise. I'd rather not lose you and just want you to be safe."

"Don't worry, Sonic. I'll be okay."

Sonic and Y/N then returned to the bridge.

"Igniting the third engine! Increasing speed!" Chris said, pulling the lever.

Meanwhile, Dark Oak's Battleship and his fleet are in position.

"The end is at hand!"

The wall behind him breaks apart to reveal a giant tree with a Planet Egg inside it.

"The forestation of the galaxy is about to begin! Soon the Metarex will be all-powerful!"

In Green Gate, Shadow starts to walk away, when he sees someone approaching him - and he is wearing black boots.

"Hold it, hedgehog!"

Shadow turned.

"Huh?"

In space, everyone can see many explosions in the distance.

"There's a big fleet of Metarex ships ahead! Their coordinates are 000." Cream informed.

"That's just where Eggman said they'd be."

The Blue Typhoon flies toward Dark Oak's Battleship, which is flanked by countless Metarex Fighters and MTRX-1 craft, as well as two other battleships and Eggman's old mothership.

"Increase engine speed to full power! Set the course for Dark Oak's command ship!" Tails pointed forward.

"Roger!" Chris nodded.

"Begin the attack." Dark Oak ordered.

"We'll wipe them out!" Narcissus said.

Pale Bayleaf replaces Narcissus' image on his screen.

"No survivors!"

Oak nods. Pale Bayleaf and Black Narcissus fly out of their battleships and toward the Typhoon. They are holding swords of some kind.

"This will be the final battle for tranquility and order in the universe. Give it your all, Narcissus!"

"I know."

"Two Metarex are heading right at us!" Chris announced.

"We have to stop 'em before they attack!" Sonic said with a smirk.

"Get to your ships and launch a counterstrike!" Tails ordered.

"Roger!!!!!"

The crew nodded.

Chris's ship rises to the runway. Sonic, Y/N, and Bokkun stand on either wing. Amy's and Cream's ships are next. All three craft take off.

"It's time to go wreck those Metarex!"

Sonic leaps toward the generals.

"Sonic, catch!"

Chris shoots a ring to Sonic.

"Thanks, Chris!"

He proceeds to spin toward Bayleaf, who throws his two swords at him. They bounce off the hedgehog, who is swatted back by the Metarex general. Bayleaf summons his swords again. Y/N who's on the wing brought out her giant fist whip and threw it towards Bayleaf who blocked off the attack with his sword. She tried to bring out more attack by summoning her crystal to create arrows, but he also deflect them.

"Sonic's and Y/N's attack didn't work!" Bokkun exclaimed.

"You think?!" Y/N scoffed.

The Blue Typhoon laser cannon fires at Narcissus, who uses the mirror on his staff to deflect the laser back at the cannon, destroying it. Narcissus lands on the runway. He looks at himself in the mirror.

"My looks are even more striking than my attacks."

Knuckles and Rouge approach.

"Let's charge him together!"

"Ready when you are!"

Narcissus is still staring at himself in the mirror.

"Aren't you even gonna put up a fight? How long are you going to stare at yourself in the mirror?"

Narcissus sees them in the mirror's reflection.

"If you insist, but you weakings can't possibly harm me."

"You won't think so high of yourself after I knock you down!"

Rouge Screw Kicks the mirror to pieces.

"My mirror!"

"Be grateful you don't have to look at yourself anymore." Rouge smirked.

"This is no joke. Soon you'll be howling..."

Narcissus swats Rouge away with his staff.

"...in pain!"

Knuckles draws his Shovel Claws.

"Shovel Claw!"

He lunges for Narcissus, who easily blocks his attacks. Meanwhile, Sonic is having no better luck with Bayleaf, who swats him away.

"Sonic!" Y/N and Chris exclaimed.

Chris flies over and reclaims him as Y/N quickly help Sonic up.

"This is for hurting Sonic!"

Amy fires numerous missiles at Bayleaf. They do no damage to his armor.

From the second bridge, Cosmo watches the battle.

"I wish I knew what Dark Oak's next move was."

The ground shakes from the impacts of the war in Eggman's cell.

"I wish there was some way we could abandon ship." Decoe said.

"Yeah." Bocoe agreed.

"You know, that isn't such a bad idea."

Eggman presses a button hidden in his coat.

Sirens appear in Bokkun's eyes.

"Hey... Dr. Eggman is sending out a rescue signal."

"Y/N, I'm gonna fly into the command ship to drop you off and you set Dr. Eggman free." Chris said.

"Alright!" Y/N nodded.

"Amy, continue the attack with Sonic!"

"Good luck, sis. And be careful."

Sonic then leaps into Amy's ship.

"Roger! Sonic and I will conquer those Metarex using the invincible power of our love!"

"Wow..." he and Y/N sweatdropped.

After Chris quickly dropped Y/N off inside the ship, Y/N begins to rocket roller skates through the empty hallway filled with cell blocks until she found Eggman and his goons.

"It's all clear. I'm getting you out." Y/N said.

"I didn't expect you to rescue me." Eggman said.

"You'd better stand back."

She brought out her katana.

"We can blow up these bars. Decoe! Bocoe!"

"Yes, Doctor!"

"Now we finally get to show our explosive side!"

Decoe stretches his body so it's taller, and supports it on Bocoe's hands.

"Vulcan Merge!"

Decoe's chest plate opens.

"Assuming headshot position!"

Bocoe inserts his head into Decoe for further support.

"Decoe Bocoe Brain Bazooka, fire!"

Decoe's head opens, and it fires a shell, destroying the bars. The three walk out of the cell. Y/N stood there shocked as she put her katana away.

"We didn't need your help. We could've escaped any time we wanted."

"People shouldn't take us lightly, right, Dr. Eggman?"

"Thanks for your help, Y/N." Eggman said, ignoring the two.

"You're... welcome, I guess." Y/N said, looking confused.

Decoe and Bocoe are confused also.

"Now, let's hack into their system."

Eggman enters a code on a wall panel.

"Destruct code verified. Detonating Corridor D."

Explosions ensue, destroying many Metarex Troopers. Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, and Y/N run down the hall.

"I altered this ship's energy output. The ship's main power circuits are overloading now."

"Brilliant idea, Doctor!" Decoe and Bocoe said.

They outrun the explosions.

Bayleaf and Narcissus notice the explosions happening all over the mothership.

"Surprise~!"

Cream fires a pair of missiles at Narcissus's face.

"Bullseye!"

"Chao-chao-chao!"

But Narcissus is only battered.

"How dare you try to damage my perfect face!"

He flies after Cream. Knuckles and Rouge stand on the runway of the Typhoon.

"Quick, give me your hand!" he said.

"What are thinking about at a time like this? I'd rather hold hands with Y/-"

"C'mon!"

He grabs her and swings her around in circles.

"Spin Throw!"

He throws her hard at Narcissus. Rouge Screw Kicks Narcissus in the back. He slams into Bayleaf, and they fly away.

Back in Dark Oak's battleship, Shadow tries speaking to a decapitated Metarex Trooper head, looking pissed.

"Tell me where Dark Oak is!"

He looks up to see a whole army of them.

"Never mind."

He throws the head behind him, which explodes, and prepares to take on the new platoon.

"Shadow is heading for the bridge!" Metarex Trooper announced.

"Dismantle the hull and outer structure of the ship." Dark Oak ordered.

"Yes, sir."

The ship suddenly starts breaking apart in perfectly square chunks.

"The ship is falling apart!" Bocoe gasped.

"They're wrecking their own ship, just to get rid of us!" Eggman grimaced.

The floor opens up, and Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, and Y/N fall into the room where the Chaotix are. Espio luckily took notice of Y/N and open his arms to catch her as she landed on time.

"Espio!" Y/N exclaimed in happiness. "Thanks for the save!"

"Y-You're welcome." Espio blushed.

Vector looked around confused.

"What?"

Eggman crushes Vector before he could think what was going on.

Shadow destroys the Metarex Troopers. The ship starts to break apart, and Shadow rides one of the segments away. Y/N and the Chaotix are safely away from the broken ship. All that's left is the giant tree. Dark Oak is standing atop the tree. Bayleaf joins him at his left side, and Narcissus at his right. Sonic sees this.

"You guys went to all this trouble just to build a treehouse?"

Sonic sweatdrops as Oak spreads forth his hands. Suddenly, the Planet Egg glows intensely bright.

"The thousand-year wait ends! Night and day become one, and two worlds come together!"

The area on either side of Oak ripple and glow. Now we see a giant planet, with the appearance of having two suns, one on either side of the planet. This is Planet Aqurius. Cosmo watches intently.

"That's a Planet Egg..."

The glow is beautiful, but deadly.

"The thousand-year wait ends. Night and day become one, and two worlds come together."

There is a giant ripple at one part of Aqurius. At the planet's north pole, the tree can be seen, its roots spreading across that part of the planet. Y/N quickly reunited with Sonic as she watches on in disbelief.

"Of course! Once every thousand years, a space-time rupture must occur in this part of the galaxy. That light is breaking through from an entirely different universe. We're all doomed!!" Eggman yelled.

"There's a huge amount of energy that's coming from that thing! Our sensors overloaded when I tried to get a reading!" Tails frantically said.

"This must be what the Metarex were waiting for!" Chris gasped.

Y/N turned to Sonic.

"Sonic!"

"We better end this before Dark Oak ruins the galaxy forever."

He and Y/N spins toward Dark Oak, who is still standing atop the tree. Meanwhile, Shadow is still standing on the broken chunk of what used to be Dark Oak's Battleship.

"I've got to stop them before forestation starts!"

He also leaps toward Dark Oak.

"You fool. We are on the verge of a galactic transformation! No one can stop us!"

The tree contains both the Planet Egg and all seven Chaos Emeralds. They glow so brightly that Sonic, Y/N, and Shadow are thrown backward. Sonic is caught by Chris' spaceship, and Shadow and Y/N by Amy's.

"Planet Egg is water." Bayleaf began.

"Chaos Emerald is light." Narcissus added.

"They both give us power."

Dark Oak spreads his arms.

"This water and light that make all plants grow will now give birth to... FORESTATION!!!"

The roots spread deep into Aqurius.

"The Metarex have long awaited this moment. We will now bring perfect order and peace to this galaxy, and to the entire universe! Forestation has finally begun!"

"For tranquility and order in the universe!" Bayleaf and Narcissus said in unison. "Long rule the Metarex!"

The armor of the three highest-ranking Metarex collapse as they enter a similar stage to Mover Mode. They begin to grow larger and more bark-like. Everyone stares as the tree-like Metarex destroys the entire Metarex fleet and even nearly destroys the Crimson Egg. The roots spread across the entire planet. Sonic and Y/N have to cover their eyes on account of the glow. The fake Chaos Emeralds on destroyed planets begin glowing. Soon, the mutation is complete, and what used to be Dark Oak, Pale Bayleaf, and Black Narcissus is now a three-headed dragon. Final Mova is born. The seven Chaos Emerald are embedded in Dark Oak's forehead. Everyone can only stare.

"What are they?" Tails asked.

"They are in the last stage of the Metarex forestation project. The galaxy will be taken over by plants, and all animal life forms will be wiped out." Eggman replied over the video.

"We have to attack!" Cosmo yelled.

"All ships launch missiles now!"

Everyone fires their missiles at once, striking Bayleaf and doing no damage. He roars, sending the Chaotix' spaceship away from it. Sonic, Y/N, and Shadow leap toward Final Mova, which grows giant roots to block the attack. Chris and Amy pull up to avoid the attack. Sonic saws through the roots, Y/N cuts through them with her powered up katana, while Shadow Chaos Spears them. The Blue Typhoon fires several smoke bombs at Final Mova, which is able to clear themselves from it.

"Farewell, White Seed!"

Sonic grabs on to Oak as he stretches toward the Typhoon.

"Sonic!" Amy yelled.

Oak penetrates the hull, throwing Sonic down the corridor. Then he breathes an energy beam at Sonic. Tails and Cosmo cower at the attack. Lockdown is initiated as Oak fires another beam.

Oak fries the engines of the ship. A safety barrier is lowered around the Master Emerald as Sonic arrives.

"We won't let you take it!"

Sonic clings onto the head of Dark Oak as it frees itself from the Typhoon. Chris watches in horrible fascination. The stern of the Typhoon is on fire. It plummets toward Aqurius.

"Tails! Cosmo!" Chris shouted.

Y/N was getting a little tired from tearing off the roots when she didn't notice a few of the roots comes behind her and Shadow quickly grabs her and brings her up safely.

"Shadow!"

"Be careful next time."

Sonic gets Amy out of the ship as it is destroyed by debris. They land panting on a root.

"It looks like we're losing."

Oak stares down at them.

"You pitiful animals. Now that you are vanquished, you see the true superiority of the Metarex! But you still have one last chance to save yourself from certain destruction. Come to your senses, Sonic, Y/N! Join us, and we will bring order and peace to the galaxy!"

Sonic is still panting while Y/N glare at Oak.

"Like we'll ever join you, you freak!!"

"Yeah, we'll never join with you!" Sonic yelled.

Oak cocks his head.

"Don't fight them, Sonic! They're so powerful now you'll be destroyed for sure!" Amy exclaimed.

Y/N noticed him panting and agreed with Amy.

"She's right, bro! Let me handle this!"

"Sorry. I can't let them take over the galaxy without a fight. If you wanna rule, you'll have to get rid of me first!"

There is a pause as the three dragons stare down at them.

"So be it, Sonic and Y/N. If you wish to be eliminated, we will be happy to help you. Farewell, hedgehog!"

Small geysers of water gush up around them.

"Sorry, Amy, sis!"

He throws Amy away as a giant water geyser pushes him into Oak's mouth. Y/N's eye widen in fear as she tries to save him, but Shadow hold her back, not wanting her to get hurt.

"Sonic!" she shouted for her brother.

"Soniiiic!" Amy screamed.

Sonic is washed down his throat...

"Sonic, nooooo!"

...before landing in the waters of Aqurius, which glows with the power of the Planet Egg. The planet now has a whitish hue. This is all done in the name of tranquility and order.

"You have lost, Sonic. Water is your weakness, and our strength. We will now spread across the galaxy, and there will be no one to stop us!"
