The Stardust Bar is a bar floating in space. Rouge's spaceship is parked in the parking lot.

"There's nothing ahead."

Shadow is sitting at the counter, and Rouge is at a table.

"Wars always occur in this area. This was never a comfortable place to live, but... The Metarex are too ruthless!" Barkeep warned.

Shadow looks down at his drink.

"I've seen many destroyed planets."

"Are you seriously going to keep going ahead? I don't recommend it." Barkeep said, leaning closer to whisper to him. "It's a world of death."

"It's fine. I have someone to keep living for."

Rouge blinks. She realize he was talking about Y/N. Even though Shadow's her teammate, she does not like that. She loves Y/N more than Shadow. She'll be the one to win her heart. After drinking, they are outside of the bar. Rouge is sitting on the hood of her spaceship while Shadow stares ahead.

"What should we do?" she asked.

"You don't have to come with me if you don't want to." Shadow replied.

"What's with that remark?"

Rouge crosses her arms.

"Who brought you all the way here?"

"I'll figure out transportation on my own. ... Thank you for your help."

Rouge blinked in surprise.

"Shadow..."

Did Shadow just thank her? Y/N must have gotten him to become friendly for once. And she was right as Shadow was thinking about Y/N again, remembering her taught him some manners as she scolds him for being rude while he looks away annoyed. Shadow then walks away. Rouge flies back into her spaceship.

"Hey, wait up!"

The Typhoon is being pursued by several Metarex Fighters.

"They're going to attack again! They're aiming straight for us!" Cream warned.

"We have to work fast. Chris, you and Sonic disperse the missiles, then launch a counterattack." Tails said, typing on the keyboards.

"Roger. Cosmo, take over for me."

"Sure."

Cosmo takes Chris' place as he runs off.

"Engines at full throttle! When Sonic and Y/N leaves, full speed ahead!" Tails said over the intercom to Knuckles who's in the engine room.

"Leave it to me!" he replied.

Knuckles stretches his hands to the Master Emerald, and it glows.

Chris runs up to Sonic and Y/N and pants.

"So what's goin' down, pal?" Sonic asked.

Soon, Chris' spaceship is moving up the elevator to the runway. Sonic and Y/N are standing on each wing.

"Okay, Sonic, Y/N, here's the plan. Looks like the Metarex are about to launch another attack. We've gotta fend them off as fast as we can and give them a doce of their own medicine."

"Sounds good! We'll wipe out those Meta-punks in no time flat!"

"Heck yeah!"

Sonic, Y/N, and Chris smile at each other. The Metarex Fighters fire missiles at the Typhoon, but it ejects tiny particles that are shaped like stars, moons, and planets. They burst in clouds of smoke when the missiles collide with them, allowing the ship to get away.

"I've got a bad feeling, Cosmo." Amy said.

"Me too. These Metarex attacks seem to get more and more violent every time."

Amy taps on the console.

"But it's more than that. I just can't figure it out."

"Does that mean the Metarex know where we're going?" Cream asked worriedly.

"Chao chao..."

"Ready for launch!" Chris called over the radio.

"Roger! Launch!" Tails replied back.

Chris' spaceship moves forward.

"Taking off!"

Suddenly, the Typhoon is hit by something.

"Hey! What was that?!" Tails exclaimed.

"I don't know! There's nothing on the radar!" Amy exclaimed.

It is revealed that the impact was caused by Yellow Zelkova, who is clinging to the bottom of the ship. He sparks from the effort as he laugh.

"Your time is up, my friends!"

Knuckles sees Zelkova on the holo-screen.

"The abyss is waiting for you!"

"Oh no! Not him again!"

In the Metarex space station, Pale Bayleaf and Black Narcissus are standing at a table.

"Where's Zelkova?" Bayleaf asked.

"He heard that we found the Controller of Light's location, so he left on his own." Narcissus said.

"Without waiting for Dark Oak's orders? That is unbecoming of a Metarex boss!"

"There's nothing we could've done. He's stupid."

Back to the Typhoon, Zelkova is using rocket thrusters to stay aloft.

"Farewell!"

He uses his brute strength to throw the entire Typhoon toward a planet below. The sudden movement throws Chris's ship off the runway. It too hurdles toward the planet.

"Pressure's dropping by the second!"

It is difficult, but Tails manages to level out the craft, even when it descends into the cloudy atmosphere of the rocky planet. The Typhoon sparks all over. It has a rough even landing on the ground. There is a nearby volcano and lava river. The Typhoon has landed on a nearby cliff.

"Well, this looks like a real hot spot!"

"I feel sick to my tummy..."

"Chao chao..."

"That crash disconnected our energy servers. It looks like we're stranded, you guys." Tails said.

Zelkova lands in front of the ship, and flexes his bionic muscles, sparking as he does.

"I see you're together again!"

His eye gleams.

"Prepare to meet your doom!Prepare to perish! Prepare to succumb to the evil that is Yellow Zelkova! Prepare to... Prepare to..."

Knuckles is puzzled at Zelkova's riddle.

"Prepare to battle?" Amy guessed in confusion.

"I don't know. 'Battle seems kinda weak, doesn't it?" Tails said.

"Enough! This is no guessing game! This is the moment of your demise!"

Zelkova punches the ship, rattling the crew.

"Where is are the hedgehog siblings?"

He prepares to punch the ship again.

"Here we are!"

He sees Sonic, Y/N, and Chris flying out from inside a smoky cloud. The Typhoon crew are happy to see that they survived.

"It's Sonic and Y/N!"

Chris flies Sonic and Y/N toward Zelkova.

"Almost there. Ready?"

"Ready!"

"Ready!"

A ring materializes in Sonic's hand, and he spins toward Zelkova while Y/N brought out her giant fist whip as she was about to charge Zelkova.

"Illuma-Shield!"

Zelkova projects an energy barrier that deflects his attack. Y/N faltered, seeing his power in shock as her brother lands back on Chris' craft.

"Sonic, what happened?" Chris asked.

"I'm not sure."

"That's..." Y/N started.

Zelkova forms a ball of energy in his hands, and arcs it toward Sonic and Y/N.

"That's the same thing that happened when Eggman put up his star shield!" Tails finished the sentence for Y/N.

"Maybe it's made from the same stuff." Amy said.

"You are correct, little one! I, Yellow, Zelkova, am fortunate enough to be equipped with one of the very first of the beand-new Dr. Eggman Illuma-Shield power packs!"

He throws off his cape, revealing a device on his back.

"And that's not all. As a bonus, I also received this Eggman temporary tattoo!"

He holds up a sticker. Amy freaks out over Zelkova's bragging while Y/N tick marked in rage.

"You geek! You have an Eggman tattoo?! Loser!" Amy shouted.

Tails and Cosmo try to calm her down.

"Don't, Amy; you'll make him angry."

"Cosmo's right. Settle down!"

Amy shakes in fury.

"I will not settle down! That big yellow hunk of junk is gonna be sorry he ever met me!"

Y/N couldn't agree more. Zelkova is now tick marked in rage.

"Hunk of junk?! How dare you mock the great Yellow Zelkova! I'll make you pay for that!"

Knuckles confronts him.

"Well, we meet again."

Zelkova lunges toward him, fist ready.

"Perhaps this time, I will finish you off!"

Knuckles counters Zelkova's fist with his own.

"I'd like to see you try!"

They are at a stalemate.

"Aw, come on. You're tougher than that, aren't you? Aren't you gonna use your spankin'-new shield on me?" Knuckles taunted.

Chris's jet sneaks up behind Zelkova.

"We might be able to knock Zelkova out with a Ring Tunnel. Right now, anything's worth a try! Ring Tunnel!"

He fires a line of rings at Zelkova.

"Let's go!"

Sonic and Y/N leaps through the rings, but Zelkova's plasma shield emits energy that throws Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles backward, shocking the Typhoon crew.

"Illuma-Shock!"

Zelkova goes to shock both Sonic and Y/N when Knuckles gained his strength a little and managed to tackle Y/N out of the way, but unfortunately he didn't get to save Sonic as Zelkova shocks Sonic into the air, along with Chris's spaceship.

"Sonic!" Amy screamed.

"Oh no!" Cream gasped.

A bruised Knuckles looks down at Y/N who lays there in shock.

"You alright?"

"Yeah. But Sonic and Chris."

Before Knuckles could say it, they found themselves surrounded with the plasma shield again as soon as they got up.

"Haha! You porcupine pipsqueak! You will never beat me! With my Illuma-Shield power pack, I am virtually unstoppable!"

"You big wimp! Gotta reply on some stupid shield."

He extends his fist to Zelkova in challenge as Y/N tighten her giant fist whip she hold still.

"Too afraid to fight me with your own two fists, huh? You're nothin' but a big baby! Bet you can't handle Y/N's fist that's big as yours."

"What he said." Y/N smirked.

"What did you say?"

"We'll see if that shield helps you now! Get ready, pal."

Knuckles charges toward Zelkova, but his plasma shield throws him back again. Zelkova runs to Knuckles and goes to crush him under his foot when Y/N barged in and punched him off with her giant fist after she spins it, causing him to fly back.  Amy's and Cream's spaceships fire missiles at Zelkova who quickly got up, only to have them blocked by the shield. Amy and Cream are surprised.

"You foolish meddlers! Your missiles are mere playtoys compared to my awesome power!"

"Oh no!" Cosmo gasped.

"We have to keep trying, Cosmo. We'll get through!" Tails assured her.

"Yeah."

Tails pulls up a layout of Yellow Zelkova.

"In order to penetrate a shield that powerful, we're going to have to harness a great deal of energy. Of course, I'm not sure where we'll get the extra energy from."

Zelkova charges toward Y/N and Knuckles and slams both his fists on them.

"Y/N! Knuckles!"

Knuckles and Y/N struggles to lift Zelkova's fists. Y/N kept on trying to push and push the giant fists away when she didn't notice her crystal changed from white to blue and all of the sudden her and Knuckles disappeared as Zelkova's fists smashed the ground.

"What?! Where did they go?"

"Right here!"

He turned to see Y/N and Knuckles okay as they are on the other side.

"How did you do that?"

Y/N looked down to see her blue crystal had saved her and her friend.

"My crystal had some sort of... teleportation."

"Whoa. New upgrade on that? Impressive." Knuckles complimented.

He turned to Zelkova.

"You'd think with a fist like that, you could actually do some damage. You might wanna spend less time on Illuma-Shields and more on the upper body strength!"

"Yeah, and try to keep up, slowpoke." Y/N smirked.

"I grow weary of your mocking, you fools!"

Zelkova goes to grab them, but they quickly jumped away. Though he manage to grab Knuckles since he's still bruised and hurt and swing the helpless echidna around.

"Knuckles!" Y/N shouted.

"Take that!"

He throws him away. Knuckles is speeding toward the lava, which would mean instant death, but Knuckles thinks fast and anchors his spiked glove into the cliff. He now dangles above the magma. After a look down at the lava, he rapidly climbs the wall. Y/N runs off after Knuckles to see if he's okay. Meanwhile, more rockets are fired at Zelkova, of course not damaging him. He walks over and places his hands on the Typhoon.

"Now you will all meet your fiery end!"

He pushes the ship closer and closer to the edge of the cliff. Knuckles reaches the top of the cliff as Y/N was looking down at the edge to see him fine and okay. She grabbed his hand and lifted him up.

"You okay?"

"Yeah."

Knuckles and Y/N turns to see Zelkova bringing the Typhoon to the edge where they are.

"Not so fast, yellow belly!"

Knuckles leaps toward Zelkova with Y/N following him. Knuckles tries to punch his face in while Y/N tries to crush his face with her own giant fist whip. As expected, there is no damage.

"You two are giving me a headache. Cease your pummeling!"

He raises his fist. Knuckles and Y/N leaps off of Zelkova as he accidentally punches his own face. The echidna and the hedgehog lands on the ground.

"I'm not done!"

Knuckles tries to attack Zelkova again, but the Metarex general fires plasma out of the green orb on its head, shocking him back along with Y/N and she collapses. He bears down on Knuckles, but he leaps onto Zelkova's leg and punches it repeatedly.

"You are in for a shock, my tiny friend!"

He tries to shake Knuckles off, but to no effect. Knuckles even refuses to let go when being shocked by plasma.

"Gaahh! Some shock! Is that all you got, pal?"

A couple more punches do nothing. Knuckles tries his hardest and punches Zelkova's knee with all his might. It is so strong that not only is Zelkova finally dented, but the spikes on Knuckles' right hand break off. He cries out in pain. Zelkova bends down, injured by the mighty blow.

"You think you're clever, don't you?!"

Knuckles lands in front of Zelkova, protecting Y/N behind him who's unconscious and weak.

"What, you mean you haven't figured that out already?"

Amy's and Cream's spaceships fly overhead.

"It's Knuckles! He's still fighting him! But Y/N's hurt!" Cream exclaimed.

"Let's get outta here while he's not looking!" Amy said.

They flee. Zelkova stands up.

"You cannot fool me!!"

Zelkova charges his hands, and fires plasma so strong that it electrocutes Knuckles and the two spaceships into the air. It even zaps Cosmo and Tails inside the Typhoon.

"I'll use Zelkova's energy against him to break through that Illuma-Shield!"

"Blue Typhoon, do you read me?"

"Chris? He's okay!"

Chris' ship descends from the clouds with Sonic on the wing.

"Sonic!!!!"

Sonic leaps onto Amy's nearby craft.

"Looks like Knuckles and sis might need some assistance. Let's you and me go lend him a hand!"

Zelkova sees the crafts flying around.

"What now? Will nothing deter these puny meddlers?"

Knuckles tries to punch Zelkova's hand, but it shocks him away.

"Hey, big guy! Up here!"

He turns around to see Amy's ship flying toward him. Sonic has a coil of cable. He leaps toward Zelkova.

"You still have not learned, have you, hedgehog? Illuma-Shield!"

He deploys his electric body shield which shocks Sonic backward. But this is part of the plan. He lands on Cream's ship.

"We gotcha!"

"Chao chao!"

She flies loops around Zelkova, and Sonic unwinds the cable around Zelkova. It soon forms a ring around him. Outside the Typhoon, Chris and Tails set up a pole.

"Okay!"

Cosmo is also standing on the very front of the Typhoon's deck.

"Sonic!"

She waves a beacon. Sonic sees it and leaps back to Amy's ship.

"Here goes!"

He throws his end of the cable down to the ground.

"What is this? What's going on here?"

"Don't you worry your little head, Zelkova! You just sight tight!"

Sonic leaps up to the storm clouds, stimulating them. Then he spins down to the planet's surface, with the lightning right behind him. Sonic spins down to the pole that has been set up. The lightning strikes the pole, then travels down through the cable. The plasma shield is set up again, but the lightning overpowers the shield and destroys it. Zelkova cries out.

"Yeah!" Chris cheered.

"We did it, Sonic!" Cream cheered.

Sonic lands on Cream's spaceship. Yellow Zelkova collapses to his knees, his armor crumbling.

"What... what is happening to me?"

The rest of his armor collapses to reveal a breaking new development. Chris, Knuckles, Y/N who slowly woke up, Tails, and Cosmo stare in shock. Yellow Zelkova is not a robot. There is a creature underneath the armor. Pieces of machinery fly everywhere. Zelkova screams as he  breaks free of the rest of his armor and stares down Knuckles.

"I'm taking you down with me!"

He lunges toward Knuckles, but is punched backward easily by Knuckles. Another hefty punch sends Zelkova a little too close to the edge of the cliff. The ground breaks underneath him, and he starts to grapple the cliff feebly as he falls to his impending doom. His lower body sinks into the lava. Knuckles leaps down after him, surprising Chris, Y/N, Tails, and Cosmo. Knuckles slides down the cliff.

"Shovel Claw!"

He embeds one of his Shovel Clawed hands into the cliff and extends the other to Zelkova.

"Grab my hand!"

Zelkova starts to extend his hand to Knuckles, but slowly withdraws it, much to Knuckles's surprise.

"Zelkova!"

Yellow Zelkova sinks beneath the magma, never to be seen again. Knuckles turns away and closes his eyes in grief. Y/N got up and walked over to Knuckles and placed her hand on his shoulder in comfort. He looked at her and hugged her, making her hug him back. Meanwhile, the rest of the Typhoon crew are shocked at this latest development.

"Is that what a Metarex actually looks like?" Chris asked.

Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe are analyzing data. Eggman removes a chip from a computer.

"Just as I thought. By checking all the data, I'll find out the Metarex's plan."

"Dr. Eggman." Decoe whispered.

Pale Bayleaf enters the room.

"Doctor Eggman, is there something I can help you with?"

Eggman hides the chip behind his back.

"Oh, not at all, my friend! I was just admiring your up-to-the-minute gadgetry. I really must commend you on your technological wherewithal!"

"The doctor is taking rather copious notes." Bocoe added.

"Uh, so that he can build one... just like it!" Decoe added nervously.

Bayleaf turns around.

"Yellow Zelkova died."

"What?"

"It seems your so-called Illuma-Shield was of no use to him in the end."

"Well, it didn't come with a warranty."

Chuckling, Bayleaf leaves the room. Decoe and Bocoe look at Eggman in curiosity.
