The Typhoon is seen near a wormhole. Knuckles is in the Master Emerald chamber, working on tightening a nut. He wipes his brow when finished.

"That should do it."

He communicates over the radio.

"Alright, everything's tightened up and good to go. You can take off whenever you're ready."

"Roger!"

Sonic, Y/N, Tails, Chris, Amy, Cosmo, and Cream watch the wormhole. Knuckles joins them.

"So way beyond that gravity pull, there's an even deeper part of space called the Intergalactic Cloister?" Amy asked.

"I'm no expert, but it sounds pretty accurate to me." Tails said.

Cosmo nods.

"You've got something on your face, Knuckles." Y/N said.

Knuckles wipes the dirt from his face from his work.

"That's happening a lot recently."

"Chao chao..."

"Are you scared that the gravity will squash us flat? I'm sure Tails has a solution." Cream asked.

"This ship can survive a black hole, so we'll be fine. We'll make it through safely."

"Chao chao!"

"But if we go to that universe, can we make it back?" Knuckles asked.

Tails sweatdrops.

"Well..."

"It'll all work out." Sonic assured.

Knuckles smirks.

"I guess so."

There is a pause.

"If we don't do anything, the Metarex will destroy the galaxy." Amy said.

"That's right. We have to go!" Chris agreed.

There is no response.

"What is it?"

Everyone looks around silently.

"C'mon, what?" Chris asked again.

"I've been thinking... Everyone back home must be worrying an awful lot about you these days.  I feel like we oughta think of a way to get you back there, don't you think?"

"But... how can you say that? You think I could just abandon you to battle those Metarex alone? There's no way!"

There is a moment of consideration. Tails looks concerned, and Chris' eyes shimmer.

"...Yeah, I guess you're right." Sonic said.

"Hopefully..." Y/N said, feeling just as worried for Chris.

"Sure I am! And besides, don't forget, I'm eighteen now," Chris smiled. "which means I get to be your chaperone, which means you won't get into too much trouble."

"Chaperone?" Y/N asked.

"That's right!"

They share a laugh. The others smile. The Blue Typhoon flies toward the wormhole.

"Typhoon laser shields, activate!" Tails pointed forward.

A shield is projected over the entire ship.

"8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." Cream counted.

The ship nears the wormhole.

"Here we go!"

The wormhole begins to surround them.

"We're gonna make it... aren't we?" Amy asked in worry.

"Mhm." Chris nodded.

The wormhole begins to distort them.

"Freaky..." Amy groaned.

"Whoa... Suddenly I feel dizzy..." Y/N wobbled out.

Chris looks confused at what is going on.

"I feel really weird..." Tails faltered.

He gasps in shock and lifts a paper that says 'Super Ultra Mega-Wave Motion Propulsive Engine'. The entire ship flexes with the motion, but manages to hold together.

"What's going on?"

Everyone eventually passes out. Sonic and Y/N are the first to wake up. The flexing of the ship has stopped.

"Everybody okay?" Sonic asked.

"Anyone hurt?" Y/N asked.

Cheese has especially been hit by the effect.

"Cheese, wake up! Wake up!" Cream pleaded.

Amy shakes her head to help alleviate her dizziness.

"Where are we?"

They appear to be in a giant cave-like area.

"It looks so strange."

"Strange isn't the word for it." Tails pointed out.

"We're in the Cloister." Cosmo informed.

"We made it!" Chris cheered in glee.

Sonic smirks while Y/N smiles.

"Now we gotta get to the other side."

As the ship flies on, it passes by what appears to be giant roots. Knuckles joins the others in the bridge.

"This place is more twisted than I thought." he commented.

"Twisted is right. That's space debris from surrounding planets left to float around in space." Tails explained.

"Looks gross if you ask me." Amy grimaced.

Suddenly the Typhoon slows to a halt.

"What's the matter, Tails?" Cream asked.

Tails pulls up an overhead map of the Typhoon and scrolls in on one of the engines.

"I think we're trapped."

Cosmo and the Mobians get to work on extricating the Typhoon from the roots that scratched the ship. They use tools such as sickles.

"My sister Galaxina and I used to love gardening. It's great therapy." Cosmo said.

"That's sweet. Maybe I'll try that one day." Y/N smiled.

"Yeah, sure. Cutting through unidentify space gunk really does it for me, too." Knuckles rolled his eyes.

"Just shut it and cut it!" Amy nagged.

Tails is using a long pole-like object to cut the roots.

"What's that you've got?" Amy asked.

"A laser-powered weed whacker. I made it when I used to help Ella with her gardening. Now tacklin' stubborn weeds is a breeze!"

Amy extends her hand out.

"Well, hand it over!"

"Huh? But I--"

"We've got a better idea."

He turns to see Sonic and Chris running toward them. Chris is wearing his space suit. Sonic leaps into the air. His new shoes project saw blades underneath them, and he glides along the ship, cutting apart the roots with ease.

"He's using your power-up shoes to cut the vines." Cosmo said in amazement.

Chris nods.

"Show off..." Y/N rolled her eyes.

Sonic continues to glide along, causing the roots to fall in piles. Once finished, he lands and dusts his gloves.

"Well, that wasn't too hard."

"Now we can keep going!" Cosmo encouraged.

Tails scratches the back of his head.

"Actually... It's getting narrower ahead, so it may be impossible."

"Oh no!"

Everyone is confused as to what to do, until Cream speaks up.

"I have an idea! This is what we'll do!"

Her plan involves everyone pulling the Typhoon with a rope.

"Let's do it!"

Amy facepalms.

"That's impossible." Knuckles shrugged.

"It is? In that case..."

She gets another idea, but Knuckles shoots it down too.

"Pushing won't work either."

"No, that!"

Suddenly, giant stalagmites rise in the path in front of them.

"Perfect. Their ship cannot leave now. As of this moment, those fools are conveniently stranded inside the Cloister. What fun!" Dark Oak laughed,

His generals are with him.

"I employ, Master. Send me." Bayleaf said.

"No. Grant me the honor, O Mighty One." Narcissus cut in.

Oak looks up at Yellow Zelkova, who is eating spicy curry. Then he rushes forward and destroys some machinery before lifting others into the air.

"This task requires strength. It is I who should go! Yellow Zelkova!"

"Zelkova, enough of this foolishness! I will indeed send you to dispose of those meddling fools, but I warn you: I want those two hedgehogs destroyed!" Dark Oak ordered.

"I shall not betray your trust, Master!"

Zelkova throws down the machinery and happily runs out of the room. Dark Oak's chair descends into the floor.

"How could the master choose that buffoon Zelkova?"

"It is not for us to decide, Narcissus. We must wait and see."

Everyone is stumped by the sudden growth of stalagmites

"They just came out of nowhere." Amy exclaimed.

"Another dirty Metarex trick!" Sonic scowled.

"Looks like we're not going anywhere. Great." Chris sighed.

"Chris is right, you guys. I don't see a way out of this. ... Wait a minute! We can't give up that easy! We just gotta put our heads together!" Tailes spoke.

"Yeah!" Cosmo and Y/N nodded.

Knuckles lets his fist fly at one of the stalagmites. However, upon contact, a shock flies through his entire body, and his punch does nothing. He falls to the ground. Tails looks down, depressed that Knuckles failed to clear the blockade. Knuckles shakes his hand.

"Uh... That worked well..." Knuckles sarcastically said.

He looks up as a few pillars begin falling.

"Y/N! Something's coming!" Cream gasped.

"Yeah. Something big." Chris added.

More pillars fall. It is revealed that this is the work of Yellow Zelkova.

"We have to be ready!" Y/N shouted.

"Yeah." Sonic nodded.

One last pillar falls in front of the group as Zelkova steps into view. He laughs.

"What's so funny, big guy?" Knuckles glared.

"You will find out soon enough, my friend."

Zelkova stands several times larger than the group, who stand ready for a fight - especially Sonic and Y/N.

"Well, let's hear it, tough guy!"

"My name is Yellow Zelkova. My mighty ruler Dark Oak has sent me to destroy the two hedgehogs. Nothing will stand in the way of my task! Sonic, Y/N, and all who stand with them are doomed!"

He lifts one of the giant rock pillars into the air, whereas Knuckles hadn't even been able to punch it.

"Whoa!" Knuckles exclaimed in surprise.

"Crush!"

He throws the pillar to the ground in front of them. It breaks.

"Quick! Get back inside the Typhoon!" Sonic said.

"Come on, guys!" Tails ushered.

He, Chris, and Cream run back to the Typhoon. Amy readies her hammer.

"Amy, you too!" Y/N said.

"But why?"

"This isn't just Eggman we're dealin' with. Now get inside!" Sonic said.

"If you say so, Sonic."

She puts away her hammer and runs back to the Typhoon.

"This oughta be fun..."

"It sure will..."

Zelkova is hoisting another pillar.

"Looks like we're gonna need some ammunition."

Knuckles strains to lift a small chunk of a broken pillar, making Sonic slump with a sweatdrop while Y/N face palmed. Zelkova laughs.

"You weakling!"

Struggling a little, Zelkova lifts a second pillar into the air. Knuckles sweatdrops.

"Whoa. He's not foolin' around."

"No kidding." Y/N agreed.

He throws one of the pillars like a spear at Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles. It misses and hits the Typhoon, scaring its occupants. Zelkova twirls the other pillar above his head.

"Ready when you are."

"Already am."

"Then let's do this!"

They nod and race toward Zelkova, who throws the other pillar. The three Mobians dodge. Knuckles pulls out his Shovel Claws. He slashes Zelkova with his Shovel Claws, but sees that the Metarex general is completely unharmed.

"Perhaps I should show you how it is done!"

"Uh-oh..."

Zelkova swings another pillar with all his might, sending Knuckles flying into the air.

"Knuckles!" Y/N shouted.

Zelkova throws the pillar at Y/N and Sonic together, hitting them. The pillar slams into the Typhoon, pinning the hedgehogs between a rock and a hard place - literally. The Typhoon shakes from the impact. Tails, Chris, Amy, Cosmo, and Cream watch in horror.

"Sonic! Y/N!" Amy shouted.

Sonic and Y/N are winded from the attack, sweatdropping and groaning. Zelkova charges at them with a pillar.

"There's no way we can beat him. He's too strong for us!" Knuckles said.

"Big boy may be strong, but there's one thing he's not..." Sonic started.

"It's speed." Y/N finished his sentence.

Zelkova slams the pillar down at Sonic's and Y/N's location, but no hedgehog siblings are found underneath.

"They vanished?"

He looks up to see Sonic and Y/N each standing on the other end of the pillar.

"You gotta be quicker with that if you wanna keep up with us!"

Zelkova shakes the pillar in an attempt to rid the two hedgehogs.

"I'll show you, hedgehogs! ... You two come down from there!"

His attempts are vain. He tries to slam the pillar against the Typhoon. Sonic and Y/N finally falls off the pillar and collapses on the ground. Zelkova tries to slam it on them, but Knuckles catches it and lifts his end up.

"So, just because you think I'm little I'm no match for you, is that it?"

The struggle is on.

"I should think that should be obvious, my friend."

"Well, you're wrong... my friend!"

"We shall see how wrong I am after I have pulverized you and the rest of your tiny team. Give up! You cannot win!"

"Okay! ... That about does it! Take that, Meta-dope!"

With all his might, he throws the pillar, and Zelkova with it. Y/N slowly got up and was surprised to see Knuckles actually lift up a giant pillar against Zelkova's strength. Zelkova lands on the ground, and the pillar pushes him farther down. Knuckles approaches.

"That's done."

Zelkova pushes the pillar out of the ground and climbs out of the hole.

"Not quite, my friend!"

"What... But that can't be...!"

"We will see who will destroy who!"

He was about to ram into Knuckles when Y/N jumps in creates a shield around herself and Knuckles. Once Zelkova ram into the shield, this causes them to roll backward and hit against the pillar, causing her shield to turn off. Knuckles and Y/N slowly got up and blush to see that they're in that position again, unaware that Zelkova is charging at them again.

"Prepare for your doom!"

Sonic scoops them out of the way just in time.

"Sonic!"

"Right on time!"

Zelkova doesn't stop in time. He runs into a pillar, which falls and his the next pillar, which hits the next, and so on. Sonic lands on a plateau as the pillars keep falling.

"This is gonna take some fancy footwork."

He whispers in Knuckles' and Y/N's ear.

"You got it?"

Knuckles and Y/N chuckles.

"Got it."

They nod to each other. Zelkova searches for them.

"Where are they? How can I destroy them when they move so quickly?"

Sonic leaps over Zelkova. He lands on the other side of the giant Metarex general and taunts him.

"Come and get me."

"You asked for it!"

Zelkova dives toward Sonic... but he leaps out of the way, and Zelkova collides with the Typhoon. His bulk causes the Typhoon to budge and shake violently. Zelkova stands up

"Show yourself, hedgehog!"

"Hey, over here!"

He turns to see Knuckles dancing, while Y/N make raspberry noise with a 'L' finger sign over her head.

"Nanananananananana!"

"Are you two toying with me?"

Zelkova charges at Knuckles and Y/N, but the echidna and the hedgehog dodges, causing the general to strike and move the Typhoon again. Its occupants cry out in fear.

"Let's do this, you guys!" Sonic gave them thumb up.

They exchange a nod. Zelkova looks down at Sonic who's waving his arms.

"Hey, what are you waitin' for, big fella?"

He then turns to Knuckles.

"I think he's chicken."

He finally turns to Y/N who's on top of the Typhoon, making chicken noises.

"Buck buck!"

"Come on, chicken boy! We're ready for ya!"

"You mock the great Zelkova?!"

Zelkova charges at Sonic, then Knuckles, then Y/N. The Typhoon is moved in three different directions. In the Blue Typhoon bridge, the crew are less terrified of the shaking.

"Hey! What are those three doing? Are they gonna battle that thing or aren't they?" Amy asked.

Grinning, Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles stand idle as Zelkova charges them yet again.

"Your clever taunting has come to an end!"

"Yeah, whatever!"

They leap out of the way as Zelkova strikes their ship, moving it again.

"Your foolishness grows more wearisome by the minute. Will you fight me or not?"

"Sure. We'll fight ya."

He looks up to see Sonic, Y/N and Knuckles standing at the front of the Typhoon, which is directly above him.

"Then come down here."

Knuckles turns to Sonic and Y/N.

"I think we've kept him waiting long enough. What do you say?"

"Oh, yeah. It's showtime." Y/N grinned.

"You know it, sis." Sonic grinned.

Zelkova cocks his head.

"I've had enough of your games. Your pathetic attempts at victory are at an end."

"Get ready, Tails!" Knuckles shouted.

"Time for Sonic Power Cannon!" Sonic and Y/N declared.

Tails looks up in realization. Zelkova looks confused.

"Huh? Sonic what?"

"Later."

Knuckles walks away. Now Zelkova looks panicked.

"What are you doing? You think you have fooled Zelkova?"

Blue Typhoon Bridge

"Prepare the main cannon! Activate energy link!" Tails said.

The Sonic Driver appears. Knuckles who's back in the engine room pulls a lever, and the Master Emerald begins glowing.

"This is gonna be fun!"

Sonic and Y/N runs down the barrel of the Sonic Driver.

"Increase pressure in main detonator! Power level set! Okay, Sonic, Y/N, get in position!" Tails said.

They land on the spin platform.

"Here goes!"

"Let's go!"

Sonic and Y/N starts their spin, charging the cannon with energy. Tails types on a keypad.

"Deactivate safety trigger! Target locked on B for bullseye!"

The targeting computers lock on to Zelkova, who is still confused.

"Launch Sonic Power Cannon noooww!"

The Sonic Driver charges with energy and shoots Sonic and Y/N at Zelkova.

"What is happening? The light! It's too bright! I cannot see! Where are you, Sonic and Y/N? I thought you two were brave. Show yourself! I command you!"

Sonic and Y/N pushes Zelkova through the pillars.

"Direct hit! Now to break down those rocks! Knuckles, ready?" Tails asked.

"Yup! ... Let's charge up. ... Master Emerald, can you hear me?"

Knuckles stretches out his hands to the Master Emerald, which begins to power the engines.

"Give us... all your power!"

Yellow Zelkova is smashed against a rock as the pillars keep falling.

"No! The barriers! They mustn't!"

After finishing clearing a path, Sonic and Y/N lands on a plateau, their energy having worn off.

"Start the engine, Tails!" Y/N said.

The path is cleared, and Typhoon is able to freely advance. Zelkova watches the Typhoon pass him.

"You will not get far. The great master Dark Oak has more in store for you! Mark my words, we will destroy you yet!"

"Sure. You bring it on, Meta-loser, and we'll be waiting for you! And give the boss man our regards, huh?" Knuckles grinned with his fist up.

Sonic and Y/N stands up, seeing the Blue Typhoon approach. Amy is standing outside.

"Sonic! Y/N!"

Sonic and Y/N lands next to her, and Amy hugs Sonic.

"You're okay!"

The Typhoon flies onward through the Galaxy Corridor, moving up and down.

"Thanks to Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles, we made it through that Cloister without hardly a scratch!" Cream smiled, holding Cheese.

"Chao chao!"

Eventually the Typhoon reaches the other side of the Galaxy Corridor, which is also a wormhole.

"Good goin', gang!" Sonic smiled.

"Yeah, nice job!" Y/N smiled.

"Yeah, we made it this far... but who knows what'll happen when we get out there?" Chris thought to himself.

Cosmo braces herself for what's to come as the Blue Typhoon exits the Galaxy Corridor.
