Sonic and Oak stand ready to fight.

"Think you can beat me?"

"Make no mistake, my friend. I do not think I can beat you. I know I will. Metarex, prepare for battle!"

A rank of Metarex Troopers step in front of Oak.

"As you can see, you are dangerously outnumbered, Sonic. And I warn you, for every one of us that falls in battle, there will be hundreds more that will take his place!"

"Please don't hurt Sonic, I beg you!"

Sonic places a protective hand in front of Cosmo.

"We'll do anything you want, Metarex, sir. We'll give back the Chaos Emeralds and the Planet Egg, but please don't hurt my friend!"

Dark Oak casts a steely glare on Cosmo through his singular green eye. Cosmo fearfully waits for the Metarex leader's answer.

"Get him!"

Dozens of Metarex Troopers fly into the air and land on Sonic without warning.

"Sonic!" Amy and Cosmo shouted.

Suddenly Sonic frenziedly throws the Trooper off of him and into the wall. Dark Oak watches, impressed. Sonic turns to Oak.

"So you wanna play games, huh?"

Sonic executes a spin and launches himself at Dark Oak, who laughs, and does not move. Suddenly, Oak vanishes when Sonic reaches him. The hedgehog bounces off the wall and lands near Amy and Cosmo.

"He vanished!"

"It's a hologram." Sonic said.

The Metarex Troopers are anything but. A few of them have survived the attack.

"Be careful, Sonic." Cosmo said.

Dark Oak's laugh can be heard in the distance. Sonic, Amy, and Cosmo find themselves completely surrounded on all sides by Metarex Troopers - and they begin their approach.

Y/N, Rouge, and Shadow are looking out a viewport. There is a battleship and thousands of smaller Metarex ships outside.

"Oh no. I think we've got ourselves in trouble." Y/N said.

"You said it, cutie." Rouge agreed.

Shadow picks up his walkie-talkie.

"Listen up, Shadow! In the interest of self-preservation, I'm calling off this clambake!" Eggman said over the radio.

"I don't understand. I thought I was to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds." Shadow said.

"Oh, blast the Emeralds! These Metarex monstrosities are about to make a meal out of us!"

They become aware of a voice booming through space.

"Attention intruders. Make no effort to escape. I am Red Pine. I and my three commanders serve the all-powerful Dark Oak. In your foolish effort to undermine our mission, you've played directly into our leader's hands." Red Pine laughed. "In fact, he wishes to express his gratitude for bringing him the Chaos Emeralds. Thanks to you all, we won't have to blindly scour the galaxy. We don't know how to thank you. Perhaps we'll just destroy you."

"Just try it, you overgrown junkyard!" Rouge growled.

"What are you waiting for, Shadow? Move it or lose it!!" Eggman shouted over the radio.

"I have to get back to the doctor."

Shadow walks away.

"No way! I'm not leaving here empty-handed!" Rouge exclaimed.

"Shadow!"

Y/N runs after Shadow. However, her comlink activates. It's Amy.

"Y/N, do you read me?"

"Amy, what's wrong?"

"Please help! They're gonna hurt Sonic!"

"What?!"

Shadow overhears.

Sonic blasts his way through the ranks of Metarex Troopers surrounding him. He pants from the exertion while several more troopers rise up, having survived the attack. This gives Amy an opening to return to her ship.

"Don't you worry, Sonic! I've got your back! Eat this, Meta-creep!"

Her ship fires lasers at the Metarex Troopers, but four of them leap onto her ship.

"Hey! What do you creepos think you're doing! Get off of my ship!"

Cosmo looks up from the cyan Chaos Emerald in its glass jar.

"Oh no! Amy!"

Cosmo watches Sonic continue to fight the Metarex Troopers.

"Maybe the code I decyphered..."

She presses a few buttons, and the cases around the two Chaos Emeralds open. But as she reaches for the cyan Chaos Emerald, an alarm sounds, a sphere closes around the crystallized Planet Egg, and it is ejected from the station. But Cosmo has both Emeralds in her hands.

Shadow, Y/N, and Rouge run down a corridor.

"Shadow, wait! Why can't we find a way out of here together?"

"He's only interested in doing what the boss man tells him!"

"You don't know what you're talking about." Shadow said.

"Eggman doesn't care about you. He only wants to use you to get what he wants. Don't you see that?" Y/N confronted him.

"You're wrong."

Rouge cuts in front of Shadow, forcing him to stop.

"Come on now, why else do you think he keeps you hanging around?"

"He want to help me."

"You think he's going to help you get your memory back, don't you?" Rouge pointed out. "Have you ever stopped to think old Egghead might just be using that promise to get you to do his dirty work?"

"Rouge is right. You can't trust him." Y/N agreed. "He never keep his word. He'll just backstab you."

Shadow looks at Y/N. He suddenly got a flashback when Y/N ask him the same thing to help her and Rouge back in Prison Island.

"Please, I know you don't remember, but you helped us before, and I'm begging you to help us again."

Shadow looks away after zoning back to reality.

"Shadow."

"Alright, I'll help you, but just this one time."

He softly takes Y/N's hand, making her heart leap for a moment while he roughly grabs Rouge's arm and fishes out the red Chaos Emerald.

"Watch it, bub." Rouge glared.

"That's right. I'm keepin' my eye on you." Shadow glared back.

"Talk about insulting!"

"Would you just teleport us already?!" Y/N shouted, making them flinch.

"Chaos Control!"

The Chaos Emerald teleports the three of them away.

The Crimson Egg - Cockpit. Shadow, Rouge, and Y/N appear in the room.

"Well, certainly took you long enough." Eggman scoffed and turned to Y/N. "Well, hello again, Y/N. How's your conscious?"

Y/N glares at Eggman.

"Nice of you to drop in!"

He laughs heartily whilst Y/N glares harder at him.

"I see Shadow decided to play nice and rescue you from those Metarex. He really is an agreeable little fellow, isn't he? After all, a little girl like are no match against Shadow's super power."

"Don't.Call.Me.Little Girl." Y/N growled. "I knew you're up to something. Once an Egghead, always an Egghead."

"Still insult me, I see. Well, better safe than sorry."

Shadow walks away after placing the red Chaos Emerald in a slot next to the purple one in Eggman's command chair.

"Ah yes, another day, another conquest. Let's not waste any more time. It's been nice knowing ya, Y/N."

"What?"

"We can't have you sticking around to... distract us." Eggman said, glancing at Shadow.

It's clear he's preventing Y/N from bringing Shadow's memories back. He knows that she can actually help him with the crystal. If he can get his hands on it. He at one time tried to take the crystal away from Y/N while she was unconscious after Shadow saved her from the Metarex, but the crystal prevented him from that and gave him an electric shock.

"Oh really now? I see. You're afraid of me." Y/N smirked.

"I do not!"

Y/N's hand is behind her back as she grab something.

"Of course, you are. You know that and guess what? You should be afraid."

"Huh?"

She pulls out a flash grenade Chris had given her and throws it down, then uses the distraction to take the two Chaos Emeralds and flee.

"After her!"

Y/N pockets the Emeralds, locates a spaceship, and climbs inside.

"Ok... I can do this. Just do what Tails do."

She carefully presses a button and hold the handle for her to move the ship and flies off the Crimson Egg and sees all the Metarex Ships firing at the Metarex station.

"Here I come, Sonic!"

She carefully and stumbly flies the stolen ship through the tight enclosure of the Metarex Station, where Sonic, Amy, and Eggman had flown earlier. She's now getting a hang of flying the ship as she flies down one of the corridors inside the station. She catches sight of Shadow skating next to her.

"Oh, come on!"

He summons energy in his hand - the same energy that sent him rocketing across the room aboard Space Station ARK. He also has flashbacks of Maria, and Y/N crying over the limiter, even Y/N singing a song to him to show him that the world has beauty while taking him to another place. Shadow throws a pair of Chaos Spears that strike the engine of the ship, causing Y/N to have a crash landing. Y/N crawls out with a grunt. Shadow approaches her. Y/N gets up and starts rocket roller skating, Shadow skating after her. Suddenly, Rouge scoops her up and carries her down through the shaft out of Shadow's range.

"Rouge!"

"If you let me have those Emeralds, cutie, I'll get ya outta here."

"Sorry, but not again. This time no deal. You know I can't do that."

"Then forgive me. I hate doing this to you."

"Huh?"

Rouge lets go of Y/N, and she falls down the shaft with a scream.

"Y/N!"

Y/N's fall is broken when she is caught by Knuckles. Knuckles is holding on by the seat belt.

"Knuckles!" she exclaimed in relief.

"You alright?"

"Yes, thank you for saving my life."

"N-No problem." he blushed.

Knuckles flies Y/N up and out of the shaft. But Y/N is able to catch a glance of Shadow. As the X-Tornado comes to rest at the surface above, Y/N stands up and opens the hatch.

"Sonic, catch!"

She jumps and throws the red and purple Chaos Emeralds to Sonic, who is just finishing off a Metarex Trooper. Shadow also sees them. The red and purple Chaos Emeralds glow. The blue, green, and white Chaos Emeralds on the ground glow. The cyan and yellow Emerald in the possession of the Metarex Trooper glow. All seven Emeralds are together. Then there is an extremely bright light, bright enough to be seen outside the Metarex station. It is witnessed by Tails, Eggman, and even Red Pine.

"What is happening?" Red Pine asked.

When the glow dies down, two glowing individuals can be seen.

"They are gaining power from the Emeralds!"

Super Sonic, Super Y/N, and Super Shadow face each other. Sonic throws a wave of Chaos energy behind him, destroying the last of the Metarex Troopers, before he, Y/N, and Shadow fly outside. Once they are in space, the three super hedgehogs stare each other down.

"Well, Sonic. I see you and I have a lot more in common that I thought we did." Shadow said and turned to Y/N. "I'm surprised you also hold such power as well, Y/N."

Sonic stares down Shadow.

"Are you two going to give me those Emeralds? Or am I gonna take them from you by force?" Shadow asked.

"You haven't got any use for those Emeralds and you know it." Sonic said.

Shadow does not answer.

"We all know you're just collecting 'em for Dr. Eggman. He can't be trusted." Y/N said.

"He's really got you fooled, doesn't he, pal?" Sonic asked.

Enrages by Sonic's insult, Shadow pushes Sonic all the way through to the other side of the Metarex station. Y/N flies after them to stop the fight.

In the Metarex station

"What are they doing, Amy? Why are they glowing like that?" Cosmo asked.

Chris watches from the bridge of the Blue Typhoon.

"It's happening. Chaos Control."

The Metarex ships open fire on the three superpowered hedgehogs as they fight. Shadow throws Chaos energy at Sonic, but Sonic dodges and it hits the side of the Metarex station. Sonic emerges out of another part of the station and blasts at Shadow. Y/N brought out her bow and created an arrow from her crystal and shoot it at Shadow and Sonic. Massive cracks run down the side of the station as Shadow and Sonic stop fighting.

"Stop! You two will only make it worse! Look!"

Suddenly the entire station begins to warp and twist as a massive black hole starts to appear. Super Sonic, Super Y/N, and Super Shadow watch as bits and pieces of metal fly into the gravitational field. They try to break free of the black hole, which starts to consume some of the Metarex ships.

Blue Typhoon - Bridge

"I don't think I've ever experienced gravity this strong!" Tails exclaimed.

"No kidding!" Chris exclaimed.

Amy and Cosmo enter the bridge.

"Do something, Tails! We're getting sucked in there!" Amy shouted.

All the Metarex ships are now being drawn into the gravitational field and destroyed. It is even pulling on Red Pine's ship.

"The gravitational pull is going to destroy the ship. We must go faster! Accelerate to full power." Metarex Trooper said.

"Do it! Quickly!"

But nothing happens.

"It's no good! We're not stopping!"

"Nooooo!"

The massive battleship is drawn into the gravitational field and immediately explodes, killing Metarex General Red Pine and his crew.

Even Super Sonic, Super Y/N, and Super Shadow are hanging on for dear life. The Crimson Egg pulls up alongside them.

"That's Eggman!" Sonic gasped.

As the Crimson Egg descends into the gravitational field, Shadow dives after it. He uses all his power to initiate Chaos Control and teleport it to safety. His Super state wears off. Meanwhile, all seven Chaos Emeralds fall into the gravitational field. Super Sonic and Super Y/N are still hanging on.

"Sonic! Y/N!"

They look up to see the Typhoon flying above them. Chunks of metal rain down around them. Y/N quickly puts up the shield around her and Sonic as the barrier deflect the metal.

"Thought you'd never get here!"

Blue Typhoon - Engine room

Knuckles types on a keypad.

"Come through, Master Emerald! We're begging you! Lend us your mighty power!"

The Master Emerald glows intensely bright.

Back to the Blue Typhoon Bridge

"Our ending power's increasing! Bring it up to full speed, Tails!" Chris shouted.

"You got it, Chris! Full speed ahead!" Tails encouraged him.

The Blue Typhoon uses all its power to fly away.

"It appears I have greatly underestimated the power of these tiny warriors."

Dark Oak's battleship can be seen as Dark Oak watches the proceedings.

"Their resourcefulness is to be commended. However, this was but a test. Soon, we shall see just how clever they can be."

Dark Oak laughs.
