Chris is speaking to Cream and Cheese.

"...you too, Cheese. Stay inside while I'm gone, okay?"

"Okay."

"Chao."

"I'll see you later."

As Chris leaves the room, Cream and Cheese look sad. They sigh and head out onto the balcony.

"I don't want to stay inside. I want to go outside and play."

What she sees next excites her.

Sonic, Y/N, Amy, and Tails are gathered in the workshop as Tails examined the crystal Y/N gave him. Suddenly, the sound of Cream enjoying herself can be heard. Amy walks over to the window.

"That sounds like Cream and Cheese outside."

Tails joins her after giving Y/N back the crystal. They can see Cream down on the ground among the flowers.

"I wonder what she's doing out there, Amy."

"I bet Cream's out there gathering some flowers."

Sonic, who is resting on Chuck's chair with his eyes closed, opens his eyes.

"She knows we're supposed to stay inside while Chris is at school. What's so important about going outside to get flowers?"

"It's because she misses her mom.." Y/N answered. "She would always tell me about her and how much she loves her. Cream loves collecting flowers to make a flower crown."

"Of course she does. I just wish... I just wish we could do something to cheer her up." Amy sighed.

Sonic looks over to a poster on the wall. It is of Peace Park, which depicts a lake surrounded by flowers. He grabs the poster and exits through the trapdoor. Tails, Y/N, and Amy turn around.

"Sonic?"

Chris is sitting at the table, with several poorly-cooked dishes in front of him. Lindsey arrives bringing in burnt pancakes.

"It's marvelous to be back in the kitchen again. On my movie sets, the chefs won't let me cook a thing! Here are your buttermilk pancakes, dear. Enjoy!"

She sets the pancakes down in front of him. Chris picks one of them up, and it crumbles in his hand. He sighs. Ella enters.

"Oh my! I smell something burning! Oh!"

She heads to the table to look at Lindsey's cooking.

"Oh, Ella, it's so good to be home again. I have an idea. Let's have a big party!"

"Party?" Chris asked.

They are unaware that Cream and Cheese are watching them.

"Yes, a dinner party tonight. We can all dress up! I'm sure Ella can prepare something absolutely scrumptious." Lindsey said full of excitement.

"A party's a great idea! And do you think you can invite your brother Sam to come over since he's my favorite uncle?"

Lindsey hugs Chris.

"Of course, darling! You can have anything you want! Anything at all for my adorable baby boy!"

"If we're having a party tonight, this calls for heavy-duty cleaning. Time to clear some clutter!" Ella said giggling, she runs out of the room.

"Wow, a party! This is great! I love parties!" Cream gasped.

"Chao chao!" Cheese said.

At Chris' school, the students have their textbooks out. Chris is once again sitting with Danny and Frances, along with Hikaru. Yes, he had introduced him to his friends and they became good friends and knowing about Sonic, Y/N, and other animal friends. Since the baseball incident when Sonic came to the rescue from another Dr. Eggman's robot.

"A party?" Danny asked.

"Yeah! My mom want us to have fun while she's home. My uncle's coming for the party, too." Chris replied.

"The racer?" Frances asked.

"Yeah, he's the coolest, and the leader of the S-Team."

"That's good for you." Hikaru smiled.

Mr. Stewart, who had been silently listening to the conversation, walks away.

Y/N is in the lab with Tails, Chuck, and Amy as she stare at the crystal in hand with wonder and questions. She still has no idea what this crystal is supposed to do. Tails had no idea when he examined them and that there's nothing or anything that triggers it. Even Chuck did everything he could to see if it could do some magic. And it's clear that it chose Y/N for some reason. She sighed and leaned against the pillow when she heard footsteps.

"Cream! Cheese!"

It was Chris and they look at him blankly.

"What? They're not here?"

"Weren't they with you?" Tails asked.

"They're wandering around someplace, and Mr. Stewart's gonna be here any minute now! What am I gonna do if he sees them?!" Chris frustrated.

"Stay calm. Let's all split up, and each one of us will search a different part of the house until we find them." Chuck said.

"Okay!!" Y/N, Tails, and Amy nodded.

They ran in their separate ways.

Y/N checked in every room she sees after she had double checked Chris' room. Her eyes scanned every sign of Cream and Cheese until she found them outside of Lindsey's room.

"Cream! Cheese! There you are. Where were you?" she said, walking over to them.

Cream shushed her and pointed at the doorway that was slightly opened. Y/N took a peek with them and saw Lindsey by the mirror with a phone by her ear.

"Hello? What's that? The starring role?" Lindsey gasped and stand up. " I'll catch the next plane! ... Oh... Actually, I'm having a little party for my son tonight. I'm afraid I will have to leave tomorrow morning."

Y/N, Cream, and Cheese listened to her conversation.

"Oh, I didn't realize. We have to shoot on location first thing tomorrow morning. ..." she said with a sad tone. "I know, you can't put a hundred-million-dollar production on hold for a party. I'll leave immediately. Goodbye."

With a glum expression, she hangs up.

"Why does it always have to happen this way? I don't even have time to spend with my little boy! I may be a great actress, but I'm a terrible mother. Please forgive me, Christopher!" she sobbed.

Cream and Y/N became concerned.

"Poor Chris' mom.." Y/N frowned.

"All she wanted was to spend time with Chris..." Cream said.

"We should tell him about it. I know it will disappoint him, but he'll understand.."

Cream nodded and they headed down the hallway to the living room where they could see Chris and Ella. Y/N gasped to see Mr. Stewart and quickly carried Cream and Cheese and hide behind the curtains.

"Sit down." Ella insisted.

But Mr. Stewart has caught sight of the decorations that Cream had hung.

"Do you like it? Mrs. Thorndyke is not only a great actress, but an artist too!" she laughed, and Chris blushes.

"Well, it's great. I can't wait to meet Chris' mother and give her my compliments." Mr. Stewart said.

Chris sits down.

"I'm very sorry, Mr. Stewart, but just before you arrived, she was offered an important movie part and she had to leave right away to start filming."

"Aah! No way!" Chris exclaimed.

"Oh, well that is too bad. I was really looking forward to meeting her in person. Hm... I guess I'll offer these to you then."

He hold out a bouquet to Ella.

"Ah, why thank you, Mr. Stewart! What beautiful roses!"

She accepts the bouquet, and Mr. Stewart sits down next to Chris.

"I'll put them in some--"

She is about to leave when there is a crashing sound. Amy and Tails, who are safely hidden in separate hiding places, hear the sound as well.

"Hello?" Tails called quietly.

"What was that?" Ella asked.

As the sound has come from outside, Ella walks to the window, while Y/N noticed through the curtain that Mr. Stewart walks over to a modern painting and fishes out his tiny device. She started to grow suspicious of what this teacher is up to and could tell that he's not just a teacher. Ella sees that Chuck has fallen among several potted plants. He stands up.

"Haha, sorry, Ella. I was just leaning out the window, and I fell out and knocked the pots down."

"I don't know what you think you're up to, but you'd better be on your best behavior because Chris' teacher is here."

"Oh! I'd better come in and say hi."

He climbs in through the window.

"Oh, sir, why can't you just use the front door like everybody else!" Ella exclaimed.

"One way in is as good as another." Chuck smiled.

Suddenly, Chris lets out a cry when he sees Y/N's boots protruding under the curtain right behind Ella! Chuck and Ella turn to Chris.

"What's the matter, Chris? Why did you scream?"

Chris sits back down on the couch.

"Uh... uh... It's nothing!"

Mr. Stewart continues to "admire the painting" as if nothing happened.

"Oh my, this certainly is an extraordinary painting."

"Certainly extraordinary my butt, you spy." Y/N growled in her thought.

Cream sees Sonic leaping into a tree in front of them. She tapped Y/N and turned and saw him and smiled. He signals that he got the flowers before jumping off the branch. Y/N felt happy that Sonic was thinking about Cream and he was cheering Cream up with flowers that are her favorite. She wondered where he get those beautiful flowers.

"Thanks, Sonic." Cream said.

"Wait! Cream! No!!" Y/N whisper yelled, but it was too late as Cream got off of her.

Much to everyone's shock, Cream walks out into the middle of the room, completely oblivious to everyone's presence. Chris is greatly concerned, Ella is surprised, Chuck facepalms, and Y/N screeched.

"That's right; Sonic went out and picked a whole bunch of pretty flowers just for me."

Ella picks her up.

"You can have some too if you want."

"Do you realize that you're caught?! Cream!!!"

"No... I can't... Is this little animal talking?"

"Talking animals, what a joke!"

Tanaka enters.

"Yes, that's some joke."

Mr. Stewart is ignoring them much to Y/N's surprise. This made her more suspicious if he actually had seen her, Sonic, and her friends for quite a while.

"Love this painting."

Y/N facepalms.

"Thanks for finding my stuffed animal toy for me, Ella. Can I have it back now?"

He takes Cream from Ella.

"Toy? Look, I heard that thing talking and nobody's going to convince me otherwise!" Ella said, feeling more confused.

"Pretend your're a toy." Chris quietly said to Cream.

"If this is some kind of joke you're playing, then you'd better quit before I do!"

"Hey, hey!"

Y/N's eyes widened as she recognized that voice.

"Haha! Hey, where's the party?"

She peeked through the curtain and saw Sam Speed. This bring back flashback when he tried to chase her and Sonic when they first transported to the human world.

"Uncle Sam! This is my teacher Mr. Stewart." Chris introduced.

Y/N can't believe that this guy is Chris' uncle out of all people. Sam and Mr. Stewart shake hands.

"A pleasure. I understand you're involed in the highway patrol somehow." Mr. Stewart said.

"Well, I don't like to brag, but I'm the leader of the S-Team." Sam said.

"That statement is only half correct." Chris awkwardly said.

"Really?" Mr. Stewart asked.

"My uncle drives fast. No other driver's quick enough to catch him! That's why he's called the Speed King! You came up with the name yourself, didn't you?" Chris explained.

"Sure! A little self-promotion never hurt anybody." Sam laughed. "Let's cut the chit-chat and get this party moving; it's too slow."

"This guy is annoying as ever.. He never change..." Y/N deadpanned.

"And your mouth is too fast." Ella said with a non-surprised look.

"Thank you!"

"Ha! I can't help it that I like speed. I've always been fast! I even beat the doctor to the delivery room. I was the only kid in town who had a five-speed transmission in my baby carriage. I admit it! I like living in the fast lane. Even when I'm in the supermarket, no matter how many items I have, I use the express checkout. I can't even walk my dog. I make him run!"

"Someone please knock him out. He's getting on my nerves."

Sam laugh, and the others including Y/N are clearly bored of his inflated ego.

"There's only one guy who's faster."

Y/N knows what he's talking about. Yeah, you guess it. Her brother.

"I never saw anything move that fast, but don't you worry. I'll catch up with him someday."

"Really? What did he look like?" Mr. Stewart asked, peeking his interest.

"It's weird, but he looked like a blue hedgehog. He even had a spike-- Huh?"

He suddenly catches sight of Sonic in the tree, waving at him. Y/N not too long turned and saw him too.

"Hey! There he is!!"

Y/N sent Sonic a glare with a hint of killing him by doing a gesture of slicing her neck with her finger. Sonic gave her a nervous smile, shrugging it off, hands up in defense, and jumped off.

"There! Did you see? It was the blue hedgehog I was talking about!"

"Sorry, I was just admiring this painting." Mr. Stewart said.

"Stop with the painting already."

"I didn't see anything. Did you?" Chuck pretend to not notice.

"Perhaps your eyes were playing tricks on you, sir." Tanaka said.

"But I'm telling ya, I saw it! You saw it too, Chris, didn't you?!"

Chris shakes his head. Sam rubs his eyes.

"I saw it. My eyes don't lie. That thing waved at me and ran off!"

"You know, they thought I was crazy too when I heard that animal talking." Ella said.

"Animal talking? Well I didn't hear it say anything, but I'm sure it could understand what I said. We both saw the same creature! That proves that I'm not crazy." Sam said.

"The animal I heard is over there."

"You know, I'm sorry Mom can't be here for the party, but she got a phone call and had to leave to make a movie. I was pretty mad. Mr. Stewart was looking forward to meeting her, but she went away before he even got here. That was pretty rude, huh?" Chris said.

"Now that sounds like my sister alright." Sam agreed.

"Are you serious?!" Y/N's eyes narrowed.

But she's not the only one as something snaps inside Cream, and she breaks out of Chris' grasp.

"You're wrong! Your mom felt very badly about she had to go and she tried to find you to say goodbye! You're lucky! You get to talk with your mom all the time on the phone. I can't do that!"

She leaves the room, crying. Y/N couldn't take it, not caring if she's caught and got out of the curtain, revealing herself.

"Cream! Wait!"

"Chao chao!"

Y/N and Cheese ran after Cream. Everyone else stares in shock, even Mr. Stewart. Finally Tanaka breaks the silence.

"Well, I hope you enjoyed that! I've been rehearsing my ventriloquism acts for weeks now and if I do say so myself, I'm not half bad!" he cleared his throat as Mr. Stewart returns to the painting.

"Ah yes, this painting is stunning!"

Just when it couldn't get any worse, Tails and Amy run through the room.

"Cream!" Tails called.

"Wait, Cream!" Amy called.

They are soon out of sight.

"I'm seeing more of them now!" Ella sighed.

Just as it looks like she is about to faint, Chuck catches her.

Y/N was patting Cream's back while holding her, soothing her head to calm her crying. Cream was trying to cheer her up by doing a peek-a-boo. Her friends including Sonic looked at her sad. Y/N then told her to give her some time while she attends to comfort her. They then left Cream, Y/N, and Cheese along. She doesn't know what to do to make her happy and blamed Chris for being a little rude to his own mom and for being unfair.

"Hey, how about a little lullaby? Maybe that would cheer you up."

Cream who had her head covered in her chest nodded as Cream sat on the bed next to them to hear it. Y/N then started to sing "All Is Found."

As she kept on singing, she carried Cream up in the air, making her laugh and rubbed their noses together. Sonic and others were watching them with a slight open door. They heard her angelic voice and smiled. Tails could feel his heart started to melt just a sound of her singing voice. Once she's finished, Cream smiled and hugged her along with Cheese.

"Thanks, Y/N. I feel much better!"

"Anytime, Cream." Y/N smiled.

It is now nighttime, and Cream and Cheese are helping Ella cook dinner in the kitchen. Ella knows the secret about them from Chris, Chuck, and Tanaka and they are happily no longer hiding. They really need some freedom.

"So the only nutty thing in my kitchen is my pecan pie! What a relief! I'm so happy that you don't have to hide from me anymore, sweetie!" Ella said with a smile.

"Yeah, we can be friends and I can help you out in the kitchen!" Cream cheerfully said.

Ella starts to cry.

"You're such a dear. I'm sure your mother misses you terribly!"

"Please don't worry. Sonic, Y/N, and their friends will find a way to get all of us back home, and you can take care of me 'til then."

"I will, Cream... I will..."

"Thank you, Ella."

Sonic, Y/N, and Chris look on.

"Now that Ella knows we're here, we can have the run of this place!" Sonic said.

"Yeah!" Y/N said, crossing her arms.

"Sure. Uh..." Chris said, but remembers something and becomes sad and walks away.

"Huh? Chris?"

The hedgehog siblings followed him to his room. Sonic opens the door and they see Chris, with a glum expression, sitting on his bed.

"What's wrong? Why are you sad?" Sonic worriedly asked.

"I didn't mean it when I complained about my mom missing the party, but Cream got really angry. I didn't even think about how bad she misses her mother. I... just hope she doesn't stay mad at me."

"Don't worry; it'll be okay." Sonic winked.

"Cream never hold grudge against you. She'll always forgive those who never meant to hurt anyone with their feelings." Y/N patted his arm.

Cream enters, humming and carrying a flower crown.

"Hello, Chris."

Chris gets down on one knee.

"I made this specially for you! Do you want to put it on?"

She places the flower crown on Chris' head.

"Wow. Thank you." Chris awed.

"You can wear it to school and tell all your friends that I made it for you." Cream turned to Y/N. "I also made this one for you too, Y/N. To thank you for cheering me up, being my big sister, and a beautiful lullaby you sing to me."

Cream places the flower crown on Y/N's head after Y/N got on one knee for her to reach. 

"Now I'm gonna give Ella her flowers!"

She leaves.

"Way to go, buddy! Cream will only give her flower crowns to the people who she really likes a lot, like you." Sonic said.

"Really? You think she likes me?" Chris asked.

"You bet!" Sonic gave him a thumb up with a wink.

In the kitchen, Cream places the other flower crown on Ella's head as onlookers Chuck, Tails, and Amy cheer. Laughing with joy, Ella scoops up Cream and Cheese in a big hug. They are one big happy family. There's one thing they learn that family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
