Secco inhabitants are thronging the streets of the once-flooded city. Chris, Sonic, Y/N, Tails, and Amy stand before the Secco Elder.

"We are grateful for your heroism. You saved our Planet Egg and our planet. We shall do our best to bestow upon you the thanks that you deserve by holding a festival today in your honor! A parade, music, dancing, and a feast to show our thanks!"

Sonic whistles.

"Sounds good to me!"

"That's very kind of you." Y/N smiled.

"Me too! 'Specially the feast part!" Amy nodded.

"Sounds like fun, Tails." Chris said.

"I'm not so sure I'm gonna like this..."

"I'm sure everything will be fine, Tails. Don't worry." Y/N assured him, patting his head.

"Okay..."

The festival begins. There is much dancing. The festival involves a parade of giant wooden ships, one of which is carrying our heroes.

"They go all out." Chris commented.

"Yeah." Sonic and Y/N nodded.

The elder is dancing upon a high platform.

"One... Two... Three! Hahaah!"

One of the Secco Inhabitants tosses Sonic into the air in celebration.

"That's it! Now everybody!"

Y/N is tossed into the air next, then Tails, and then Amy.

"Oh, I just can't get enough!" Secco Inhabitants exclaimed.

Everyone is now being thrown into the air.

"Why are they throwing us?" Chris questioned.

"Don't knoooww!"

"Whoooooa!"

It is revealed that they are bouncing on a giant trampoline.

"Haha! This is how we honor heroes!" Secco Elder laughed.

Sonic and Y/N seems to be the only one enjoying it.

"This is great!"

"Looks so fun!"

"This is an interesting custom." Chris agreed.

"This isn't the time to admire it!" Tails exclaimed.

"My butt hurts!" Amy whined.

"What a happy day!" Secco Elder exclaimed in happiness.

The Secco inhabitants continue dancing and marching.

"There they are!"

Knuckles, Cosmo, Cream, and Cheese join them soon.

"Look what I have!" Cosmo said.

Even though they are bouncing, Sonic and Y/N sees the object.

"A Chaos Emerald... Who found it?" Sonic asked.

"I did, 'cause I wasn't too busy partying with the locals." Knuckles said.

"Wow, that looks like fun!" Cream said.

"Chao chao!" Cheese agreed.

"Yeah, if you wanna feel like a yo-yo..."

"Why are they bouncing you like that?" Cosmo asked curiously.

"It's for getting their Planet Egg back!" Chris answered, still bouncing.

"It's a token of their appreciation." Sonic added.

"Bouncing is fun." Y/N added.

"I'm appreciated enough!" Tails exclaimed.

"I can't take much more!" Amy exclaimed.

"This is so wonderful." Cosmo said.

She looks back at the Chaos Emerald.

"I can't believe that we already found one."

"This means we have only six more to find, doesn't it, Cosmo?" Cream asked.

The Secco Elder has overheard them.

"You down there, friends of the heroes! Let us honor you too! Throw them here!"

Soon Cream and Cosmo are also bouncing on the giant trampoline.

"Come defy the forces of gravity!"

Knuckles waves hand.

"I'm actually a big fan of gravity."

Y/N overheard this and sneakily smirked, taking out her whip and threw it towards Knuckles. She wraps it around him and pulled him into the giant trampoline with them.

"H-Hey!!" Knuckles yelled, bouncing.

"Have fun! Don't be a party pooper!"

Knuckles eventually started to have fun bouncing with Y/N and his friends. Little do they know that they are being watched by a spy drone.

Knuckles is now walking alone after getting out of the trampoline.

"Hehe. I have to admit, that was actually fun. If it wasn't for her for dragging me into it. I gotta thank her for that."

He looks up when he sees the Eggmobile fly over him.

"That looks like..."

Suddenly, the Eggmobile crashes.

"Eggman!"

He runs over to the crater Eggman landed in. Eggman coughs before looking up at Knuckles.

"Knuckles, it's you! What good fortune!"

He stands up.

"Ahh, finally, someone who can help me!"

Knuckles is surprised at Eggman's sudden change in mood, but kept his guard up.

"Help you? Not a chance!"

"Oh Knuckles, please, you have to hear me out! My ship ran out of power and crashed on this desolate planet. If I don't find a way to leave, I'll be trapped here the rest of my life! It's my fault! I'm getting what I deserve!"

Knuckles looked down at him, feeling a sense of deja vu. That's when he remembered as Y/N's warnings repeat in his mind until it was now made up. He pretends to feel sympathy and places a hand on Eggman's shoulder.

"Come on, cool it. Don't be so hard on yourself."

"I just got so carried away with wanting to take over the universe. I was evil, and greedy... It's true! I wanted planets and entire galaxies all to myself, but if I get off this rock, I'll never turn a moon into a devastating weapon or block out a planet's sun again, I swear! If only I had a Chaos Emerald for my ship. I could leave here and start my new life as a good person!"

Eggman secretly grins, meaning he is not genuine. Knuckles secretly glances and glares. No way is he going to fall for that trick again. So he's going to have to play along. Plus, he'd rather not get beaten up by Y/N again. She has been warning him, and he's glad that he listens.

The party long over, Knuckles tells Sonic, Y/N, and friends about Eggman's proposition.

"Aahh!!"

"You want us to let Dr. Eggman use the Chaos Emerald?" Sonic questioned.

Knuckles shook his head.

"Nope. I knew that he's going to try and trick me again not after I feel another sense of deja vu. So I just pretend to believe him and see what he's up to."

"Wow, Knuckles. I'm impressed. I'm glad that you took my warnings like a hundred times." Y/N said, smiling.

"Well, I don't want to get hit again that's why. But I know that you're right." he said, blushing.

"For once, you actually made up your mind. Glad that you're not being gullible." Sonic said, looking surprised.

"Yeah, that's surprising." Amy nodded along with Tails who agreed.

"How did you know Eggman will try and trick Knuckles?" Cosmo asked.

"He would always try and take advantage of everything. No matter how many promises he make, he always break them until he get what he wants. If you're smart abou it, you gotta think something that will definitely get the villain to think that they got them until they are caught red handed."

"Wow..."

"That's why I always tell Knuckles not to trust him. Ever."

Y/N stare at Knuckles who smile nervously. She noticed from behind a rock, Eggman was watching them as if to expect a fight. She smirked whilst seeing the Chaos Emerald on the rock that was placed on. Y/N nudged Knuckles by the leg who turned to her and she gave him a signal to act now, nodding her head at Eggman's direction. He smirked and began to act as Y/N told her friends and her brother to act as they noticed it too.

"He's promised to abandon his evil ways if we help him out." Knuckles said, trying to sound convincing whilst smirking.

"We're heard that before." Tails said, acting.

"Tails is right, Knuckles." Chris said.

"Dr. Eggman is always saying he'll abandon his evil ways, but he never does!" Cream said, secretly smiling.

"Didn't I tell you to never ever trust Eggman and yet, you still believe he's good?!" Y/N yelled, smiling.

As they pretend to argue and not notice the Chaos Emerald is unguarded, Eggman took that as the opportunity, seeing as if there won't be a fight, but arguing helps with the distraction as well as they're lost in their voices. Eggman begins crawling toward the abandoned Chaos Emerald and nearly reaches it.

"At last, a Chaos Emerald! Nothing can stop me now!"

Unfortunately for Eggman, Y/N brought out her whip and swung it towards him and hits his hand with a loud slap.

"Ow!"

"Well, well, well, looks like your plan has been backfired." Y/N said, looking down at him with a smirk.

"W-What?"

Knuckles comes in.

"Did you seriously think I would fall for that stupid trick? Think again."

Eggman cowers back and soon find himself surrounded by Sonic, Tails, Chris, Amy, Cream, Cheese, and Cosmo.

"How wonderful to see you all again!"

Eggman picks up the banana next to him.

"I-I was just about to consume this delicious banana!"

He peels and eats the banana.

"Tasty!"

"Quit your lies, Eggman. We know you're trying to steal the Chaos Emerald from us."

Y/N then steps forward, bringing out her katana. Once she's close, she leans down, scaring him. She grabbed one of his beard and brought her blade near it.

"How about I give you a nice cut to that beard?"

Suddenly, the ground begins to rumble. Eggman looks around, dismayed.

"What now?"

Suddenly a giant hand scoops up Cosmo and rises into the air. It is attached to an even bigger robot - Egg Mars. It turns its giant head toward Eggman. Egg mars is being piloted by Decoe and Bocoe.

"Dr. Eggman! We're sorry we kept you waiting!"

"We're here to rescue you!"

"Metal meddlers, I don't need rescuing!"

The Egg Mars turns to face Eggman. Its green chest plate flashes with Eggman's emblem.

"Bokkun told us you were in trouble."

"A jam."

"A predicament."

"What did he say?"

"He told us that nobody fell for your plan to steal the Chaos Emerald."

The Egg Mars extends its free left hand to Eggman, and he climbs upon it.

"Grrr... It did got backfired if it wasn't for that pesky Y/N for warning him..."

"Nice try!" Knuckles grinned.

Eggman climbs off the hand and joins Decoe and Bocoe in the cockpit before typing on a keypad.

"But now you'll give me that Emerald or I'll crush your friend in the palm of my giant metal hand!"

Eggman holds out his fist, and the Egg Mars does the same, indicating motion control.

"This is a much better plan than the last one." Decoe said.

"Your microphone is still on, Decoe."

The Egg Mars' right hand opens slightly, revealing Cosmo. Everyone is surprised.

"Cosmo!" Y/N shouted.

"What do we do?" Cream asked in worry.

"Chao chao?"

"Come on, Tails!" Chris said.

"Right!"

Tails and Chris run toward the Egg Mars. Rouge who was there whole time, eavesdropping on the conversation, sneaks up near the Chaos Emerald.

"Now's my chance."

"Put her down, Eggman!" Knuckles demanded.

"Don't think so."

"Give us the Chaos Emerald. Then we'll drop her! I-I mean put her down gently." Bocoe said with a warning.

Meanwhile, Rouge feasts her eyes on the Chaos Emerald.

"Hello, beautiful...

Just as she is about to take it, the ground starts rumbling.

"What's goin' on here?"

Suddenly, she and the Chaos Emerald are thrown into the air by a huge frog-like Metarex called Metarex Jumpee. Jumpee gets the attention of everyone else nearby.

"It's a Meterax!" Chris exclaimed.

As the Chaos Emerald falls, Jumpee extends its giant dagger-like tongue and devours the artifact, then licks its lips.

"That frog's a jewel hog!"

Rouge leaves. Eggman stares down Metarex Jumpee.

"Gaahh! That thing ate the Emerald! Alright, boys! Annihilate that amphibian and the Emerald is ours!"

The Egg Mars stands to its full height of twenty meters.

"Whatever you say, Doctor!" Decoe said.

The Egg Mars drops Cosmo and runs toward Metarex Jumpee. Y/N leaps into the air and catches her.

"You okay?" Y/N looked down at her in conern.

"Y-Yes..." Cosmo blushed and shook her head. "Forget me! Get the Emerald!"

Jumpee prepares itself for a fight. The Egg Mars collides with the giant frog Metarex.

"Yaah!" Eggman cheered.

Bocoe presses a button, and the Egg Mars' right hand becomes a drill that attempts to penetrate Jumpee's armor. No damage is done.

"Whaah! The drill isn't working!"

"Its armor is too strong!"

"What's that thing made of?"

Using its tongue, Jumpee flips the Egg Mars onto its back by the drill. The Egg Mars' pilots are thrown out of their seats.

"We just got a tonguelashing!"

"I don't think we can beat it, Dr. Eggman."

"I have a plan. Let's let Sonic, Y/N, and the others take care of it."

"Get this thing back on its feet and keep battling!"

"You who disturb the order of the universe! Ribbit! You cannot have the Chaos Emeralds. You misuse their power. Ribbit! We are the only ones who should possess the Emeralds." Meterax Jumpee said.

"Really. I'll take take a stab at seizing it anyway!"

The Egg Mars stands up again.

"Stand still, so I can make a frog kebab!"

The Egg Mars reaches behind itself and draws a large sword, then throsts it toward Jumpss, who jumps high into the air. Before landing, it uses its tongue to trap the Egg Mars' right arm. The Egg Mars uses its left hand to grab Jumpee's tongue, but the tongue sends out an electric current that shocks the Egg Mars and its occupants. The Egg Mars explodes, sending Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe into the air.

"I think that frog just skewered us!" Bocoe said.

Jumpee retracts its tongue. Knuckles charges toward Jumpee with his Shovel Claws. Knuckles doesn't even make a dent in Jumpee's singular eye. All the Metarex has to do is turn its head to shake off Knuckles. Not even Sonic's spin dash or Y/N's whip attack or her crystal can damage Jumpee's eye. Jumpee impacts its tongue several times into the ground near the three Mobians, but they successfully dodge. Jumpee speaks again as it retracts its tongue.

"I cannot allow you to deter me. I have a mission. I have come for the Planet Egg."

"Do you think they can stop it?" Cream asked.

"They have to! If it captures the Planet Egg, the whole planet will flood again!" Cosmo exclaimed.

"We're open to suggestions, Cosmo." Amy said.

"Don't worry, guys!"

Amy, Cream, and Cosmo turn to see Chris and Tails standing next to a large brown object.

"I've got an idea!"

Metarex Jumpee turns around and starts to leave.

"Sonic! Y/N!"

Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles cut Jumpee off.

"We're not done with you yet!"

Spikes protrude from the the six holes in Jumpee's chin and stomach. Jumpee leaps high into the air and nearly crushes Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles, but they race back to the others.

"Oh man, how do we stop this thing?" Knuckles asked.

"Hey Metarex! Over here!"

Chris is standing in the crow's nest of a ship that is resting on top of the sand.

"He has the... the Planet Egg..." Cosmo said, shocked.

Indeed, Chris is holding the spherical Planet Egg. Jumpee turns to face him.

"So... you have been hiding it from me. Ribbit!"

Chris pulls on a rope, extending the ship's sails.

"If you want it, come and get it!"

"You will regret this!"

The modified ship rolls across the sands, with Jumpee in hot pursuit.

"We have to do something to help him." Cosmo suggested.

"Maybe Chris knows what he's doing." Amy said.

"But still..."

"I'm not waiting to find out!"

Knuckles runs after Chris.

"You know what? Somethin' tells me this plan involves the big cannon!"

"Yeah."

Sonic and Y/N runs and skates the other way. Meanwhile, Jumpee is still chasing Chris.

"Alright! He fell for it!"

He holds up the Planet Egg.

"Ha! Come catch me if you can! Closer... Closer... Now! Sonic! Y/N!"

Chris leaps out of the crow's nest, much to Cosmo's alarm. However, he bounces on a trampoline in the ship. Cream realized something.

"The Heave-Ho Festival!"

Chris throws the Planet Egg with all his might.

"Sonic, Y/N, catch!"

Jumpee looks up at the Planet Egg as it sails through the air. Sonic and Y/N stands prepared as the Sonic Driver is activated. Sonic and Y/N runs inside the cannons barrel and lies down on the spin platform.

"Connecting energy from the energy chamber to the main cannon! Pressurizing the energy within the cannon's electrical ducts! Okay, ready, Sonic and Y/N?" Tails asked over the intercom.

"Do we really have to go through with this?" Sonic asked, making Y/N glare at him.

"Get serious, Sonic! We've got Secco's Planet Egg and the Chaos Emerald and the whole universe at stake!"

"Alright. Here we go."

Sonic and Y/N stands up and starts spinning, charging the cannon.

Knuckles charges toward Metarex Jumpee. He scales Jumpee and leaps into the air, catching the Planet Egg. Amy, Cream, and Cosmo watch in horror as Jumpee uses its tongue to bind the echidna. Chris, who is clinging to the mast, sees this. Sonic and Y/N continues to spin in the Sonic Driver.

"Hold your position steady, Sonic, Y/N. Metarex target straight ahead!"

The targeting computers lock on to Metarex Jumpee.

"Sonic Power Cannon, fire!!"

After charging energy, the Sonic Driver launches Sonic and Y/N at Jumpee. Sonic and Y/N impacts the giant frog Metarex squarely, and Metarex Jumpee explodes.

"Oh yeah!" Chris cheered.

Knuckles, now free, lands on the ground. The girls approach him.

"Knuckles!" Cosmo exclaimed.

"Are you okay?" Cream asked.

"Yeah, and I think the Planet Egg is okay too."

Suddenly, the Planet Egg pops and deflates, much to Cosmo's shock.

"I didn't do it!" Knuckles protested.

"Is that a... beach ball?" Amy said.

"Sonic! Y/N!"

Sonic and Y/N leaps up to the crow's nest where Chris is. They high-five.

"Yes!"

It is sunset. There are flowers everywhere. 

"I'm glad I didn't let Eggman fool me." Knuckles said.

"That's a good thing. I'm proud of ya." Y/N grinned, lightly punching his arm.

Knuckles smiled, rubbing his arm.

"But that doesn't change the fact that you're a sucker."

Knuckles and Y/N turns to Sonic as the others laugh.

"I'm gonna--"

"Let's start searching for the other Chaos Emeralds." Tails suggested, cutting Knuckles off.

Y/N pats Knuckles' head to calm his temper.
