Eggman and his gang are now in Prison Island where Sonic was arrested as Eggman in his Eggmobile is right now in the forest after bombing missiles on the security building. He is hovering idle with his hands clasped behind his head.

"I wonder if I'm pushing my luck, breaking into the place a second time." he said and his communicator screen activates.

"Perhaps. The security on the island has been upgraded since your last visit. You must be careful. When they restore communications, they will send robots to stop your team." Decoe said through the screen.

"Their robotic designs are greatly improved. With their new defenses, it will be almost impossible to enter that compound again." Bocoe added through the screen.

"Well, nothing is going to stop me from breaking in and taking those Chaos Emeralds. Shadow said I need to obtain all seven Emeralds in order for the Eclipse Cannon." Eggman said.

"But are you sure it's worth the risk, Doctor?" asked Decoe.

"Once I get that cannon working, I'll be unstoppable!" Eggman grinned.

Shadow, Y/N, and Rouge arrive. Y/N was wearing a silver bracelet on her left wrist while Shadow was wearing the same bracelet on his right wrist. Before they arrive, Eggman placed the bracelets on Y/N and Shadow to keep her to stay by Shadow's side all time so she wouldn't escape. He told her that every time Shadow moved far away, she had to follow him by force when her bracelet blinked red if she's not close to Shadow. Tricky, eh?

"Okay, Eggie. Fill me in." Rouge said.

"According to Rouge, the Chaos Emeralds are stored in a vault inside the compound. I must have them." Eggman said.

"No prob. Just leave it to me." she smirked.

"Do not trust her!"

"She wants it for herself!"

Eggman shuts off the screen in annoyance.

"They get on my nerves. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty, shall we? In the first phase of my plan, I'll go around the island wreaking havoc and drawing the guards from their posts, clearing the way for you three to enter the compound. Then, Shadow and Y/N move in. He'll blow up the whole island by sneaking into the weapons center and setting off all the ammunition stored there with this miniature detonation device. While Y/N keeps an eye for any guards that get in their way and she has to hit them."

He tosses a time bomb to Shadow, who nods.

"Meanwhile, Rouge will proceed to the warehouse where the Chaos Emeralds are locked away and remove them. We will then meet up at the rendezvous point and make our escape. We have exactly thirty minutes. If you run into trouble, you're on your own."

Shadow and Rouge nod while Y/N crossed her arms with a scowl on her face. Shadow glared at her, making her sigh and nodded.

"Let's go!"

The four take off. Soon Eggman fires several missiles at the facility. Various GUN robots emerge to attack Eggman, but he nimbly dodges their attacks and fires back in return.

The X-Tornado flies into the vicinity.

"What's going on?" questioned Tails.

"It looks like somebody's fighting." Amy guessed.

"We'd better get down there and find Sonic!" Hikaru exclaimed who was in the X-Tornado with them. "And find Y/N! Who knows what's gonna happen to her!"

Hikaru convinced them to let him join because he can't stand having someone like Sonic to be in jail and Y/N to get captured by Shadow. He wanted to help and do what's right. The X-Tornado lands near Rouge, Y/N, and Shadow, and Amy throws herself at Shadow, thinking he is Sonic.

"Oh, Sonic! What a relief! I came here to rescue you, but you escaped all by yourself!"

Amy turned to see Y/N who had a panic look. She exclaimed in happiness and relief.

"Y/N! You must have escaped and came to save your brother, too!!"

"Amy! That's not Sonic!"

"Huh?... Sonic?"

Realizing her mistake, and also seeing a smirking Rouge nearby, Amy cries out and lets go of Shadow.

"You're not Sonic! Who are you?"

The Eggmobile hovers in front of her.

"None of your business. Now get lost."

"Dr. Eggman!"

Tails and Hikaru are equally as surprised, turning to Y/N.

"Y/N..? What's going on? Why are you with them?"

"Y/N! Are you okay?!"

"Shadow, Y/N, Rouge, carry out your assignments!"

Eggman blows a hole in the door with a missile, and Rouge, Y/N, and Shadow enter the facility.

"Y/N!!" Tails, Hikaru, and Amy called as she quickly looked back at them with guilt.

"I'm sorry, guys! I'll explain to you as soon as I get out of this!" she said before her bracelet blinked red, forcing her to follow Shadow.

Then, Eggman bears down on Amy, who takes a few steps back.

"I'll take care of you..."

"Keep away!"

"Amy!" Tails exclaimed. "I can't rescue Sonic 'til I get Dr. Eggman out of the way."

"This will send Tails into a tailspin!"

Eggman fires lasers and rockets at Tails, but he dodges them as Hikaru holds on tight. Then Eggman finds himself at the front of the X-Tornado, trying to keep one step ahead of the craft. On the ground, Amy recalls the hedgehog she just met.

"He looks almost exactly like Sonic. I wonder what he's doing here? And Y/N...she's in trouble. She's being forced to help Eggman."

She enters the facility.

"Don't worry, Sonic! I'll find you! And I'll save Y/N!"

Inside the Prison Island, an alarm sounds as Shadow and Y/N search for the ammunition warehouse as they both recall what Eggman told them. Y/N noticed the guard saw them about to stop them when Y/N pulled out her whip and created a giant fist whip towards him and knocked him down, leaving him unconscious. Y/N looked at him in apology and kept on running along with Shadow. Shadow was impressed with her fast move as he started to find her even more interesting.

Elsewhere, Rouge flies around searching for the Chaos Emeralds, even nimbly crossing a laser field. She then located the red Chaos Emerald.

"I can feel those emeralds here. All I have to do is break into the vault and help myself." she said and saw the keypad.

"Ah. Cracking the code will be a cinch."

She started to press the keypad for password and the door opened, granting her access to the red Chaos Emerald. Once she collected it, she went to another place and found the cyran Chaos Emerald. She got 2 of the Chaos Emeralds. As for Shadow and Y/N, he had installed the bomb that labeled Eggman Bombom. He called Eggman on the radio, while Y/N stood next to him just waiting for this plan to be over.

"Doctor, the detonator is ready to go, but I need to know how long to set the timer for."

"Good work, Shadow. You can set the detonator to go off at exactly fifteen minutes. Will that be enough time for you, Rouge?" Eggman replied through the radio.

"I can be out of here in five minutes easy." Rouge replied.

"Alright, then. Set the detonator for ten minutes."

"Right, Doctor." Shadow nodded and set the bomb for exactly 10 minutes, making Y/N nervous and both of them leaves.

"I hope Sonic is okay. Amy is going to save him and I'm sure of it."

They are now running through the forest to try and find Eggman before he leaves them behind. Y/N would have held him back just so she can escape, but that's impossible with the bracelet she's wearing and he's too fast and can make him disappear along with her. The blue blur zoomed in over to them and landed in front of them.

"Sonic!" Y/N cried out in happiness to see her brother.

Sonic smiled back and looked down to see your bracelet to Shadow's, making him frown that Amy's right. Amy must have seen her bracelet that she never saw her wear and noticed Shadow's bracelet as well as she assumed it has something to do with forcing her to work with them. He turned back to Shadow.

"Shadow, this is it. I want answers. Who are you, and what are you up to? What do you want with my sis?"

Shadow smirks. "You'll find out."

He turned to you and nodded at you. Y/N hesitantly pulled out her whip, making Sonic tensed as he had a feeling where this was going. Shadow and Y/N who was forcibly pulled by the bracelet, jumped at Sonic as he jumped back, hitting him back with his Sonic Boom as Shadow did the same, while avoiding Y/N who brought her whip forward and he dodged it. They clashed several times while Sonic kept avoiding her without hurting her, but she managed to hit him in the head as she looked at him in apology. He nodded to her that it's fine and managed to land a hit on Shadow as they keep on clashing. The trio collapsed on the ground and got up and started running or rocket skating. Shadow and Y/N's wrist communicator activated.

"Come in, Shadow and Y/N. Shadow, Y/N, can you read me? I have a little problem on my hand."

It was Rouge and it looks like she needs help.

"What's the problem, Rouge?" Y/N grunted through her communicator, trying to avoid the fight she was forced to be in.

"I'm sort of locked inside the vault with the Chaos Emeralds. There's no way to open it from in here, so I'm stuck."

"I can't talk! I have to go now!" Shadow said.

"You mean.... You guys won't help me?"

"What?! No!! Of course, I will help you! If I haven't gotten myself chained up by the bracelet...!"

"Not right at this second, no."

"Shadow!! Are you kidding me?? She's your partner!" Y/N exclaimed, throwing her giant fist whip forward as Sonic dodged it. "Don't you have sympathy? Do you ever have friends?"

This made Shadow tensed upon hearing when she said 'friends.' He looked at the image of Y/N change to the blond girl with blue eyes that he knew long time.

"Maria..."

"The cutie is right. You can't leave me. Remember, I have the emeralds." Rouge said through the communicator.

"I'm busy right now!" Shadow yelled, snapping out of it. "And you, you stay with me until we both finish Sonic. You're still in MY control!"

With those last words, he was bashed by Sonic who was angry and he returned the blow as you forcibly did the same by kicking him.

"I'll try and convince him to come and save you. I promise."

"I hope you will keep that promise. Who knew that I shouldn't have counted on that shady character for help. But you're the only one that I can rely on..."

This made her blush a bit and shook her head as she tried to come up with an excuse to stop this fighting.

"Shadow, come in now! Shadow!" called Eggman.

Shadow's communicator watch is activated as they are still fighting, well mostly him and Sonic.

"Shadow, where are you? The detonator will go off any second! You have to get off the island now or you're going to be blown sky-high! Do you read me?"

"Oh no!" Sonic gasped.

"I'm not waiting for you, Y/N, and Rouge any longer. You three are on your own."

"I have to get everybody off the island!" Sonic said and turned to you. "Don't worry, Y/N. I'll find a way to get you out of this when I come back. I promise."

"I'll be fine. Just be careful."

Sonic looked at Shadow with a glare that warned him not to do anything funny with his sister and fled. Shadow and Y/N looked up and watched as Eggman flew over the clearing.

"How are we going to get out of this alive?" she asked, looking at him.

Just then Chris sees Shadow, and thinks he is Sonic and also sees him with Y/N.

"I found them! It's Sonic and Y/N!"

But he stops as he noticed something different about that hedgehog and he realized that he's not Sonic.

Back to Rouge who is still trapped inside the vault.

"When I found three emeralds, I thought this was my lucky day..." she sighed.

"Rouge, this is Shadow. Come in." Shadow called.

"I'm here." Rouge replied.

"Do you still have the Chaos Emeralds?"

"Of course I still have them."

"I'll be right there to pick them up." Shadow said before hanging up.

"He's coming for the Chaos Emeralds, but what about me?" Rouge said to herself.

"What he means to say is that we'll be there to come and get you along with the Chaos Emeralds." Y/N said, correcting Shadow as Rouge could tell that she's glaring at him.

Back to the forest, Chris is shocked at what Shadow says next after hearing him calling Y/N a prisoner and noticed they were wearing the same bracelet.

"Dr. Eggman, I'm going back in to pick up the Chaos Emeralds for you."

They only have one minute until the bomb explodes and they have to be quick. Shadow grabbed Y/N's hand, taking out the Chaos Emerald he stole.

"Chaos Control!"

Chris ran towards them.

"Shadow! He's the one they want! Now I can prove Sonic's innocent and save Y/N!"

Tanaka arrived a little too late to see Chris running towards Shadow and Y/N.

"Chris, waaitt!"

Y/N gasps to see Chris attempt to grab Shadow the moment he uses Chaos Control. She quickly pushed Chris back towards Tanaka, shocking him. She did it to protect him as she already disappeared with Shadow.

"Y/N!" Chris called as Tanaka went down to his level.

"Are you okay, Chris?"

"Yeah... But Y/N..."

Just then, Sonic grabs Chris and Tanaka and carries them to safety. Shadow and Y/N appeared inside the vault.

"Shadow! Y/N!" Rouge exclaimed.

Shadow removed his hand from Y/N's and took the Chaos Emeralds from Rouge. There are now 10 seconds remaining and they have to leave now.

"Let's go!" Shadow ordered.

Y/N and Rouge nodded as Shadow then uses Chaos Control seconds before the island explodes in a violent fiery eruption, taking Y/N and Rouge with him. The explosion even rears up a small tsunami. It is now dusk, and Eggman watches from a distance before he flies away. The X-Tornado escapes safely.
