Danny, Frances, Hikaru, and Helen are playing basketball.

"No way!"

"Two points!"

The basketball lands through the net. Nearby, Mr. Stewart is secretly contacting his superiors.

"This is Chalkboard Charlie calling Homeroom. Chris Thorndyke is still absent from school."

The basketball stops rolling when it collides with Mr. Stewart's right leg.

"Get the ball, Frances." Danny said.

"Mr Stewart? Can you throw me the ball, please?

Mr. Stewart picks up the ball.

"Hey, Mr Stewart! Why don't you come and play?" Danny invited him.

"Uh... me?"

"Yeah, itll be fun!" Hikaru smiled.

"Alright."

Mr. Stewart takes the ball and dribbles it toward the net. He dunks the ball through the net.

"Right in the net! That was an awesome shot, Mr. Stewart!"

"Well, I was an alternate in the practice squad back in college..."

Helen giggles.

"Did I... say something funny, Helen?"

"I was just thinking that I'm happy we got you as our teacher."

"Really?" Mr. Stewart's eyes widen.

"We wasn't sure about you at first but you're cool." Danny gives him a wink and thumbs up.

"You're a fun teacher to hang out with!" Hikaru said.

"Thanks, Danny, Hikaru." the teacher smiled.

Sonic, Y/N, and Tails are walking together. They spot Knuckles, who has his back to them.

"It's Knuckles." Tails said.

Knuckles smirks. It is revealed that he is standing over an unconscious Eggman.

"Eggman." Sonic said.

"Hm."

Sonic, Y/N, and Tails approach.

"What'd you do to him?"

"Don't accuse him like that!" Y/N glared at Sonic.

"What? I'm just saying."

"Nothing. I found him this way."

Tails pokes Eggman with a stick to see if Eggman is alive, and is surprised when Eggman sits up.

"Whaah! He's alive!"

"Of course I am." Eggman deadpanned.

"What happened?" Sonic asked.

"Not that I care..." Y/N mumbled.

"Chaos turned against me."

"How come?"

"Because... it wants to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds all for itself."

Knuckles reaches for Eggman's throat.

"Tell us where Chaos is or else!"

"Take it easy, Knuckles!"

"Control yourself, Knuckles!"

"How dare you threaten me! I'd love to teach you a lesson, but unfortunately I have to fly!"

Eggman mysteriously rises into the air.

"He's getting away." Tails said.

It is revealed that Eggman is being airlifted by a hot-air balloon manned by Bocoe and Decoe.

"Okay, start reeling him up." Decoe said.

"The winch is jammed!" Bocoe gasped.

"We can pull him up ourselves."

"No way. All that weight will burn out our motors."

"Don't just leave me hanging here like a salami!" Eggman yelled angrily.

"Try not to get agitated. The cable could break."

"Just enjoy the ride."

"There's not time to lose. My plans for world domination depend on Chaos. We have to track down that renegade right away!" Eggman said.

"Roger!" Decoe nodded.

Eggman cries out as his hench-bots fly him away.

"If Eggman was telling the truth, we have to find Chaos fast and stop it. The second it gets a hold of all seven Chaos Emeralds, it will become too powerful to defeat." Knuckles pointed out.

"You're right."

Suddenly, a bright light envelops Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles.

They study their surroundings.

"Quiet... I've been here before. We're back in the past."

"Definitely. I bet this is the last time we'll be seeing this while it last." Y/N said.

They see Chief Pachacamac and his clan in front of the Master Emerald shrine. Tikal and several Chao block the way to the temple.

"Tikal, the clan needs those seven Emeralds. It is the only way to protect ourselves from our enemies." Chief said.

"But taking the Emeralds isn't the way! Please stop! You'll regret it forever!" Tikal cried out.

"The clan has made its choice, and we'll seize the Emeralds now. Warriors, attack!"

The echidnas race toward the shrine, trampling Tikal.

"Stop it!"

The seven Chaos Emeralds appear around the Master Emeralds as the echidnas reach the top of the shrine. Chaos emerges from the Master Emerald.

"What is this thing?!"

Chaos raises its hands, and the Master Emerald begins to glow brightly. The echidnas are forced to shield their eyes. The Master Emerald glows intensely, and suddenly there is a white glow that envelops everything. When it dies down, the Master Emerald's glow dies down, and the shrine is on fire.

"They're gone. All of them." Knuckles said.

"Not all."

"There's only one left."

Sonic and Y/N rushed over to an unconscious Tikal.

"Are you okay?"

"Can you hear us?"

Tikal slowly sits up. Opening her eyes, she sees the burning shrine.

"I knew this would end in disaster. Why, Father, why didn't you listen to me?"

She gets up and dashes toward the shrine.

"Hey, hold on!"

Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles follow Tikal to the top of the shrine, where she begins to pray with the crystal in front of her that she's holding.

"You must understand. The servers are the seven chaos. Our hearts intensify their power. The controller serves to unify the chaos. The seven Chaos Emeralds take what is in our hearts and turn it into power. Hmph... But if the heart that wields the Emeralds is full of nothing but angry and fear... then that power will being pain and destruction to the world. Oh, please, you must stop Chaos!"

She spreads forth her arms as the crystal glows white and started floating as the Master Emerald glows, thus ending the vision.

"She's gone."

"She must have suffer a lot..." Y/N looked down sadly. "Poor her..."

"Knuckles, did you understand what she meant about Chaos?" Sonic asked.

"We have to stop Chaos from getting hold of the last Emerald." Knuckles replied.

"He's right. If we don't, then Chaos will turn into the sea monster." Y/N said, putting two together, realizing it.

"A sea monster?"

"Like the one we saw back at the temple!" Sonic said, realizing it too.

"Hey, you guys! Look!"

Knuckles panics when he sees Chris approaching him, white Chaos Emerald in hand. Suddenly, the ground directly underneath Chris rumbles, and a huge geyser of water launches into the air.

"Chris!" Sonic and Y/N yelled.

They leapt into the geyser and took each Chris' hands.

"Hold on tight, buddy!"

"Don't let go!"

With his energy sapped, Chris lets go of the Chaos Emerald.

"Just hang on!"

Knuckles leaps into the air, and karate-kicks the geyser, releasing Sonic, Y/N, and Chris. Sonic and Y/N land on the ground, with her carrying Chris. The ground begins to crack, swallowing the Chaos Emeralds and Knuckles' bag of Master Emerald shards. Tails flies out of the way just in time as a massive geyser of water bursts out of the ground, then falls back back in.

"So Chaos has all seven Emeralds now."

"I'm sorry, Knuckles. It's all my fault." Chris looks down in shame.

"That creature is more powerful than all of us. It can't be stopped."

"But we have to try." Sonic said.

"We can't give up now." Y/N said.

Nearby, a few sad Chao float down.

At the Station Square, dark clouds gather above Station Square. Everyone stops as the ground begins to rumble. Water rushes through the sewers. Sam Speed is giving someone a speeding ticket.

"You were doing fifty in a 35 mph zone. But since you did ask me for my autograph, I'll let you off the warning this time."

Suddenly, the nearby manhole explodes into the air as water gushes out like a geyser.

"Whoa! Must be a water main break!"

But that is not the only incident. Across the entire city, manholes are launched into the air by the sheer force of water, sending people screaming and running. A giant crack forms in one of the streets, and water gushes out of it. It even bursts out of the tops of skyscrapers. People flee into one of the buildings.

"You'll be safe here! Hurry!"

Suddenly, a wave sweeps Sam away. One of the waves of water which explodes out of one of the buildings forms into a giant head. The creature's eyes open, and it roars. Perfect Chaos is born.

Perfect Chaos slashes a building in half with one of its tentacles. Meanwhile, in the White House, the President, Christina, Topaz, and Rouge are watching Scarlet Garcia on TV. She is reporting the breaking story from a helicopter.

"Station Square is flooded! We don't know the exact cause of the disaster yet, but eyewitnesses reported that something went horribly wrong in the city's water system. As you can see, there's complete devastati-- Oh my.. There's something down there..."

She sees Perfect Chaos moving through the city and begins to panic.

"It's appears to be some kind of monster!"

In the Thorndyke mansion

Ella, Cream, and Cheese are watching the breaking story in the living room.

"Much of the city is now in ruins! The only good news is that nobody has been seriously hurt. But the monster is still attacking us!"

Suddenly, Cheese begins freaking out.

"What are you trying to say, Cheese, huh?" Cream asked in concern.

But there is no explanation.

"Don't worry, that blob would hurt you." Ella assured him.

"Right, we're going up to the mountains where it's safe."

But Cheese refuses to calm down. Chuck enters.

"What are you waiting for? We have to get out of here fast!"

"But we can't go yet because Mister Chris still hasn't come back home." Ella protested.

"Where is he?!"

Chris and Tails are flying in the X-Tornado, heading towards the city.

"We gotta stop Chaos somehow. Faster! We don't have much time!"

"Better hang on!"

Below them, Sonic and Y/N are running or rocket skating toward the city.

"If we don't get to the city fast, there won't be anything left to save."

"We'll do everything we can."

At Chris' school, the students are being evacuated.

"Children, we're all moving up the slope there." Mr. Stewart's wrist communicator went on and he answered. "Roger, this is Chalkboard Charlie."

"We need you back here at headquarters on the double!"

Mr. Stewart sees Danny, Hikaru, and Frances struggling with Helen's wheelchair.

"But I can't leave my students!"

"What?! This is a direct order!"

Mr. Stewart grits his teeth in frustration, then sighs.

"I'm sorry, I didn't copy that. Can you repeat, Homeroom?"

"Sir?" Frances asked.

"Are you the last ones?"

"Yeah, the others went ahead." Danny said.

"That's good. Then follow me!"

"Okay." Danny, Frances, and Hikaru nodded.

Mr. Stewart grabs Helen's chair and runs like the wind. Danny, Hikaru, and Frances follow.

Outside the entry of Thorndyke mansion, Chuck, Ella, and Cream are ready to leave.

"I'll wait for Chris. As a former water polo champion, I can swim both of us to safety when the flood comes." Tanaka said.

Chuck picks up Cheese, who is still upset, though not as much as before.

"Alright."

Cream opens the door as she, Ella, and Chuck leave the mansion. Tanaka stays to wait for Chris.

Sonic and Y/N made it to the Station Square in time to see Perfect Chaos' relentless rampage.

"That's it, Chaos! Your destroying days are over!"

Sonic takes a mighty leap into the air and spins toward Perfect Chaos' head. Y/N brought out her skateboard with rocket shoots and flew after Sonic. But the water god uses a tentacle to slammed them back to earth. Sonic then runs up one of the few skyscrapers standing and flies toward Perfect Chaos. Y/N skateboarded through the tentacles and tried to aim her sword toward Perfect Chaos' head. However, the monster absorbs them both, spits them out, and rears up a mighty wave of water to catch them. Sonic is lucky enough to land a floating board of wood, and rides it like a surfboard along with Y/N who quickly took out the wheels from the bottom of the skateboard.

"Sonic! Y/N!"

They looked up to see the X-Tornado approaching them. They took a hold of Chris' oustretched hands.

"You two alright?"

"Yeah."

"We're good. Thanks, Chris."

"You think... we'll win."

"It'll turn out okay. But Chaos is more powerful then ever, so I'll need plenty of help."

"Can we count on you?"

"You bet."

"Okay, then. Let's do it!"

Tails flies the X-Tornado into battle. It skillfully avoids several water spears before buzzing Perfect Chaos. Suddenly, they are overshadowed by the Egg Carrier 2.

"What's this?"

"Back off, Sonic and Y/N! Chaos double-crossed me. Now it's payback time!" Eggman yelled.

"He's on our side now?" Y/N questioned.

"Looks like it."

The Egg Carrier 2 closes in on Perfect Chaos. It fires many missiles at Perfect Chaos, but they are quickly deflected by a force field. Then the water god fires a giant laser from its mouth, destroying the Egg Carrier 2. The villains escape in the Eggmobile.

"Oh, great! How are we gonna beat it now?" Sonic said.

Just then, a bright light moves in, blinding the X-Tornado's occupants. The light surrounds the X-Tornado and safely guides it to a landing position on a bridge. The hedgehog siblings leaps down from the X-Tornado.

"This just keeps getting freakier and freakier..."

"No kidding..."

A female echidna appears.

"You again!"

The light fades.

"Since the day of my father's invasion, I've journeyed across the seas of eternal time with Chaos to help keep its power under control. But some friend woke Chaos for a plan to use its power for an evil purpose." Tikal explained.

"Eggman... He must have uncovered the way to revive Chaos somehow so he could use it to take over the world." Y/N growled, clenching her fist.

Perfect Chaos spits out the Chaos Emeralds. The purple Emerald lands in front of Tikal. It is petrified. Tikal picks it up.

"Chaos has now drained all the Emeralds of their power."

"What?"

"Ever since my clan attacked the temple, Chaos has known only hate and anger. He will use the power of the seven Emeralds to destroy this world. We have to seal Chaos back in the Master Emerald before it's too late!"

"It won't work."

Tikal stands up.

"If we seal it in the Master Emerald, the same thing will only happen again. We have to solve this problem once and for all."

"Yes... but how can we?"

Sonic and Y/N doesn't know how to answer.

"Sonic! Y/N!"

They looked up to see Cream carrying a petrified yellow Chaos Emerald.

"Look, I have something for you!"

Ella, Tanaka, and Chuck also arrive.

"Cream got the Emerald back after Chaos let them all go."

Amy also runs in carrying a petrified blue Emerald.

"Hey, Sonic, Y/N!"

Big also arrives. He holds up the green Emerald.

"I finally got back the pretty rock that Froggy swallowed. You can borow it if you want to."

Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, and Knuckles also arrive, followed by Tails.

"Sonic! Y/N! If you collect all the Emeralds, you two can defeat Chaos!"

Knuckles holds out the red Emerald.

"Here. You have more experience at being heroes."

"Thanks, Knuckles." Sonic said.

"We'll use it wisely." Y/N smiled, making Knuckles smile back.

Knuckles turns to Eggman, knowing he's hiding an Emerald.

"Eggman."

"Oh, alright. Take it."

He hands over the petrified cyan Emerald.

"We need one more." Tails said.

"Sonic! Y/N! Look what I found!"

Chris is coming with the last Emerald: the white one. However, he trips and falls on his face. Sonic and Y/N runs and skates over.

"Chris!"

"You alright?"

Chris looks up.

"Sonic! Y/N! Look!"

Chris holds out the Emerald.

"I knew you'd come through."

The crowd cheers for Sonic and Y/N from the wrecked buildings.

"Go, Sonic and Y/N!"

"Yeah, Sonic and Y/N!"

"Alright!"

The Chaos Emeralds' power begins returning. Y/N's crystal begins glowing.

"The Emeralds are getting their power back!"

The Chaos Emeralds begin levitating. They begin to orbit Sonic and Y/N. The hedgehog siblings hold hands and close their eyes and lets them change them into Super Sonic and Super Y/N who's much more brighter with the mix of her crystal power. Their quills stand up, and they rise into the the air.

"I thought that the power of the Chaos Emeralds could only be awakened by hate and anger." Tikal awed.

"There are other feelings that are even more powerful." Knuckles said.

"When everybody gave their Chaos Emeralds to Sonic and Y/N, it was because of our friendship. Caring is stronger than hate, and that's how they're gonna beat Chaos." Tails explained.

Sonic and Y/N finished changing into Super, then turns to Perfect Chaos, who prepares itself for battle. 

"Ready for this, sis?"

"Ready as I'll ever be, bro!"

Perfect Chaos projects a barrier around itself, but it is smashed by Sonic and Y/N. Perfect Chaos then turns its tentacles into drills, but Sonic spins into them, shattering them. Y/N spun her whip as they glow yellow and slashed the drills off. Not even Perfect Chaos' laser mouth can hurt Super Sonic and Super Y/N, so it fires an even stronger laser that heads toward Chris and the others. Sonic and Y/N move in front of it.

"Aaahhh! ... Sonic! Y/N!" Chris cried out.

The beam does nothing.

"You can't stop us!"

"Nothing can bring us down!"

The others smile. Mr Stewart and his class cheer Sonic and Y/N on from a hill far away from the city.

"If anybody can stop that monster, Sonic and Y/N can." Helen smiled.

"Go, Sonic!" Danny cheered.

"Go, Y/N!" Hikaru cheered.

Perfect Chaos whips a tentacle toward Sonic and Y/N, but he uses a hand to stop it, while Y/N uses a whip to stop it, and then they use Chaos energy to dissolve it.

"Is that the best you can do?" Sonic taunted.

"We're just getting started!" Y/N smirked.

Perfect Chaos fires a laser beam from its mouth again, but Sonic charges headfirst toward it, and forces it back to sender. Y/N jumped to the tall building as she took out her sword and her whip and combined them together with the help of the mix of her crystal and Chaos power. They turn into the recurve bow.

Y/N held her bow up as she summoned her arrow that are made of light-based energy. She carefully took a aim towards the Perfect Chaos where Sonic was heading and pulled the string back hard as she focused. Everyone are seeing this as they wondered what she was doing as Sonic was busy.

"You need to let go of anger and hatred that's been controlling you."

With that she let go of the arrow, it flew towards Perfect Chaos as it spins rapidly. Sonic smirks, seeing that and flew inside Perfect Chaos with the arrow as it shot through. Once he's inside, he exits again as the water god glows gold with a mix of white and vanishes in a bright light. The crowd cheers. Sonic and Y/N had won. However, the puddle that was Chaos lands on the ground, and it reverts back to its base form.

"It wasn't destroyed. It survived!" Knuckles said.

"Chao chao chao."

Many other Chao rise from the water and surround Chaos, including Cheese. Chaos beams.

"But it doesn't look angry anymore."

"Yeah. If you ask me, Chaos actually looks kinda happy." Tails agreed.

"Wow, look at all those Chao!" Cream awed.

"I wonder where they came from?" Chris said.

"It looks to me like those Chao were friends of Chaos who came here to see him." Amy smiled.

Tikal steps in front of Chaos.

"These are the Chao you kept watch over."

Chaos looks around at the Chao.

"They are coming into this world now. The Chao will live here in peace, and you can be at peace now too. Time to go."

Tikal spreads forth her hands, and she and Chaos rise into the air. They soon vanish. Sonic looks at the the city in concern. As Y/N was much concerned about the city, she was happy that Tikal and Chaos can finally have peace they deserve. Tails breaks the silence.

"Huh? Where'd Eggman go?"

"I think he escaped while we were distracted." Tanaka guessed.

"Yeah, well, he won't get away next time." Knuckles said.

Chris approaches Sonic and Y/N.

"You did it, you two!"

Sonic and Y/N turns around and gave him thumbs up.

"We all did."

"As a team."

Chris returns the thumbs up.
