Sonic and Y/N are walking toward the ruins when they saw the spirit of Tikal floating nearby.

"What the...?"

"It's her! From the vision!"

"You know her?"

The spirit floats to the entrance of the ruins.

"I think she's trying to lead us."

"Let's follow her then."

The hedgehog siblings follows Tikal inside. There is a waterfall concealing a passage inside. Tikal floats to the other side of it.

"Hmm.."

They walk through the waterfall after Tikal. A group of Chao look on sadly. Tikal leads them down a passage, down some stairs, and across a bridge to a picture of a monster.

"What's this?" Sonic questioned.

Y/N reads the text under the image.

"A sea monster. Kinda creepy."

"When angry and sadness overflow like a mighty ocean. Beware the great calamity." Tikal's voice said.

"Is there someone there? Come on out. We won't hurt ya."

Sonic and Y/N are blinded as a vision begins. Y/N knew what's gonna happen next.

They are at the Master Emerald shrine once again, well for Y/N. Everything is ablaze.

"Hey, what's going on? Where am I?"

"We're at the Master Emerald shrine. It's a past. Something happened." Y/N said.

Sonic catches Tikal at the top of the shrine, and runs to meet her along with Y/N. She is surrounded by a few dead Chao.

"No way!" Y/N gasped in horror, covering her mouth.

"It's awful! How could Father do something so terrible?"

Tikal looks up.

"No! I must stop them!"

She runs toward the Master Emerald, but it glows brightly, and the vision ends.

Sonic and Y/N are now outside the ruins.

"What did I just see?"

"It may have something to do with the Master Emerald. I think Chaos is the Master Emerald. If that sea monster we saw earlier is true, then there's a chance there will be danger."

Sonic sees the Eggmobile passing by.

"We'll talk about this later. It's Eggman."

"What? What's that fathead floating around here for?"

"Well, there's only one way to find out."

Both of them chased after Eggman, who flies over a hill. They noticed a stone door with Eggman's face on it. This is the hidden entrance to Final Egg.

"Time to pay a little visit."

Y/N activates her rocket skates as Sonic spin-dashes through the door. Alarm sounds through the base. They attack the cameras, ending the transmission. Hidden laser blasters fire at Sonic, who easily outruns them. Y/N did a flip over the blasters that are sending her way as she skates on the wall beside Sonic. The floor opens up, revealing hidden rollers. Sonic and Y/N makes no forward progress on them. A giant steel ball rolls towards them. The hedgehogs rolls in place, and the ball sends them down the corridor and out of harm's way.

"Ah, well. Guess we're just too fast for ya."

They suddenly ran into Bokkun.

"Ha."

Sonic is startled by Bokkun's sudden appearance. Y/N was not surprised to see him as she crossed her arms.

"Ha! I scared ya! I scared ya! I scared ya!"

"You'd scare anybody, Bokkun." Sonic said, backing away.

"Just tell us what Eggman wants know. Plus, you didn't scare me, you little rat."

"Harsh, sis..."

"Geez! So mean! Alright. I've got another super important message from Dr. Eggman himself. You better pay attention if you know what's good for ya."

He pulls out his TV.

"Alright, Sonic, Y/N. The time has come for me to settle my score with you once and for all. I think we need a man to hedgehogs chat in the lower chamber. My assistant Bokkun will show you the way. ... Make it snappy."

The screen goes black, and Bokkun starts to cry, depressed that he can't pull a prank on Sonic and Y/N.

"Oh... why do I have to do everything around here?"

Bokkun then leaves.

Sonic and Y/N arrived at Eggman's chamber to see Eggman in his Egg Viper.

"This better not be another trick, Eggman."

"Yeah. You know how much I hate tricks, even you."

"I'm through with tricks for today. Now, listen well hedgehogs, because I've had just about enough of you! I've been trying to establish my eggs-quisitely evil empire, but you have been nothing but a thorn in my side! Every brilliant plan I've put into action has been systematically stymied by you and your kindergarten cohorts! You've wrecked my wretched plan far too often, but you won't get in my way again, do you hear me?!"

"Seriously...?"

"Your threats aren't gonna scare me off, Eggman. You really think you can get rid of me and sis?"

"I don't think I can. I know I can."

The cockpit hatch closes, and the Egg Viper fires a laser at them, which they dodges.

"You two seem a little jumpy. What's wrong? Can't take the heat?"

"I can take whatever you dish out."

"Yeah!"

Sonic strikes the Egg Viper and Y/N hits the robot with her whip as it flies up and out of sight.

"Coward. What's the matter? Had enough?"

Suddenly, the Egg Viper emerges from the floor and throws them to the ground.

"Nothing like a good game of squash." Eggman said.

The Egg Viper crushes Sonic and Y/N with its tail. Then, Sonic spins into the robot, and Y/N's body glows, destroying it. Eggman emerges in his Eggmobile which heads up through the hole.

"You will pay for this, you filthy hedgehogs! Mark my words, you will pay!"

Sonic smugly rubs under his nose as he watches the fiery explosions.

"That's our cue to get out of here!" Y/N said.

"Yep! And fast!"

He grabs her hand and they both spin through the hole in the roof and watch from a distance as Final Egg is destroyed.

Sonic is lying on the ground, staring at the sky. Y/N was figuring out about the sea monster that Tikal showed them in the temple.

"Hey, Sonic! Y/N!"

Sonic sits up and Y/N turns to see Tails approaching them.

"What's up?"

"Hey, Tails."

"Tails! Glad to see you're okay!"

"Yeah, and Amy's okay too!"

"Great!" Y/N smiled, relieved that she's safe and unharmed.

Dark clouds cover the sky.

"Looks like a storm's coming." Tails said, looking up.

Y/N looked behind Tails to see Knuckles who's watching the lightning flash across the sky. A purple lightning bolt strikes a tree. She had a bad feeling that the sea monster will come out soon if that's what Tikal is trying to warn her, then her, her brother, and her friends will put a stop to this.

Meanwhile, Eggman is flying through the forest.

"Blast those two hedgehog siblings! I've got to find some way to get rid of those furry freaks forever!"

Eggman is surprised to see a large watery blob floating nearby.

"Chaos!"
