Everyone has recovered from the crash.

"Let's go!" Knuckles said.

"Right!" Tails chuckles, helping Y/N out of the X-Tornado.

Knuckles, Tails, and Y/N move out. Sonic runs ahead of them.

"Later, guys!"

"Don't leave without me!" Y/N growled, activating her rocket skates and went after him.

Tails looks up in surprise as several missiles are fired at Sonic and Y/N, but the hedgehog siblings are able to dodge them all.

"They're turning back!" Knuckles said.

Sonic and Y/N stops in front of Tails.

"Tails. You okay?"

"You're not hurt again, are you?"

"Uh-huh. And no, I'm fine."

Tails removes his bandages.

"Come one!"

Another missile almost hits Sonic and Y/N who quickly dodges it. It creates a hole in the floor.

"I'll meet up with you later. Now's my chance to search for the rest of that Master Emerald!"

Knuckles leaps through the hole.

"But Knuckles!" Tails protested.

"It's alright, Tails. He'll be okay." Y/N assured him.

"Yeah. You, her, and I can look for Amy. Let's go before they launch another attack."

Tails flies after Sonic and Y/N. They went through the whole ship and found Amy who's holding her hammer defending the little blue bird they saw before. They even saw a laughing Eggman as he grabs the hammer from her.

"Oh, Eggman? Don't you think you oughta pick on somebody your own size?"

"Yeah, I don't think you should underestimate her."

Everyone looks up to see Sonic, Y/N, and Tails above them. Amy is delighted.

"You did come... Get out of my way!"

With renewed determination, she hammers Eggman and his hench-bots away, then slams her hammer onto the wall, causing Sonic, Y/N, and Tails to fall onto Eggman.

"We gotcha." Sonic smirks.

"You're gonna give up?" Y/N smirks.

"I guess so..."

Decoe extends a claw to capture the little blue bird.

"No! Lily!" Amy gasped.

"Let her go, Decoe!"

As Amy tries to retrieve Lily, Eggman gets up and approaches Lily.

"Boys, keep your eyes on the birdie."

"Yes, Doctor!"

Eggman pushes Amy away.

"Now then..."

He removes Lily's collar.

"Let's have it. You won't be needing this. Nice birdie..."

He activates the collar, releasing a Chaos Emerald that falls into his open hand.

"Look! It's a Chaos Emerald!" Tails said.

"I knew it!" Y/N said as Amy gasped.

"Lucky me. Give back the bird."

Decoe moves the claw in Amy's direction, and she retrieves Lily.

"Lily."

She cuddles the Flicky.

"You're safe."

Just then, a humanoid robot colored in mainly red and white enters.

"Did you call, Dr. Eggman? What is your wish?"

"It's you." Amy said.

"How about a little target practice?" Eggman smirked.

"Yes, Doctor."

Amy stands up.

"No!"

"Aim for the blue and the light blue ones."

"You gotta catch us first!" Sonic said as Y/N stuck her tongue out.

Bocoe and Decoe cheer.

"Yay! This should be fun!"

"Go for it!" Y/N said.

"Ready... Aim..."

"Don't shoot, robot! It's Eggman that's making him act this way." Amy said.

"Huh?" Sonic questioned.

"What?" Y/N questioned.

"He's really nice."

The robot points its gun at the hedgehog siblings and opens fire. Sonic and Y/N dodges.

"Is he?!" Y/N yelled.

"Robot!" Amy yelled.

The robot activates its jetpack and continues its attack. The resulting explosions rock the ship.

"Please! Stop shooting!"

But he does not stop. Instead, its assault begins ripping chunks of the ship apart.

"No!"

Sonic uses the debris as leverage to get to the robot's level.

"Just missed us that time."

Sonic uses the chunk of the ship to block the robot's lasers, then kicks at him. As Sonic lands, Y/N ran at the robot, deflecting the lasers with her katana and gave the robot a cut to the chest and kicked him. The robot lands hard in the ground. They stop when they see Amy standing in front of the robot.

"Leave him alone, guys."

"This doesn't concern you, Amy."

"Stay out of this."

"You can't hurt him! He doesn't meant to be bad."

Sonic is not impress. Y/N had a no convinced look on her face. Amy begins to get teary.

"He set us free."

Finally, Sonic relents. Y/N sighs and relents as well, still doesn't trust that robot.

"Okay, if you say so. A friend of yours is a friend of--"

Explosions rock the Egg Carrier.

"Hey! You guys! The ship! I have a feeling we're losing altitude!" Tails said.

"What is happening?" Eggman asked.

"I don't know, Doctor!" Decoe said.

"I think we're falling!" Bocoe said.

"Impossible!"

Eggman runs inside the ship. His hench-bots follow him.

"Wait for us!"

"Eggman's running away. Maybe we should follow him." Tails said.

"No sweat; we'll take care of him." Sonic said.

"You find a way to get Amy and Lily off of this thing." Y/N said.

"Mr. Robot, can you hear me? Are you okay?" Amy asked the red and white robot.

"Shouldn't we stick together?" Tails asked.

"You don't have much time to lose, Tails. Hurry up."

"But..."

"Trust us, Tails. We'll be okay."

"Yeah. You're our right-hand man."

Tails looks down briefly before nodding.

"Ah... Hm... Okay."

"Atta boy!"

"We'll be back before you could shout our name."

Sonic and Y/N runs and skates inside the ship.

In the Egg Carrier Hallway, explosions rock the ship.

"Ow!... What the...?"

Knuckles picks himself up after falling through a hole caused by damage to the ship. He picks up a bag he has been carrying.

"Now that I found the rest of the Master Emerald, I'm outta here!"

As he navigates the ship, which is listing to port, he sees the spirit of Tikal. Instantly a vision occurs.

As Y/N skates with Sonic to find Eggman when a vision occurs again.

"Not again..." both Knuckles and Y/N sighed.

They see that there is fire everywhere.

"This is getting ridiculous."

They ran up to the Master Emerald altar, where Tikal is lying on the ground. A few Chao are near her.

"Hey! Are you okay?" Knuckles asked in concern.

"Miss?" Y/N kneel down to Tikal's level.

"I... I did my best to stop them... but Father and the others would not listen to me. I don't... know what to do..."

Her eyes close as tears well up in them. Suddenly, they hear the roar of a creature.

"Wha... What's that?"

Tikal looks up at the temple. Knuckles and Y/N saw the Master Emerald atop the altar.

"Who are you?"

Immediately, Tikal gets up and starts running toward the Master Emerald. Knuckles and Y/N gives chase.

"Wait!"

"Hey!... Come back!"

A light blinds them, and they are taken back to the present where they came from.

"What's happening? There must be some reason why I'm being shown these things." both Knuckles and Y/N said at the same time as they are in separate ways.

Y/N kept on skating as she focused to what she was doing with Sonic. They both heard familiar voices which is Chris and Big as they sound like they're in trouble with Eggman's voice too. Sonic and Y/N bursts out of a nearby wall.

"It's Sonic and Y/N!" Eggman screamed.

Chris and Big are stuck to Chaos along with the green frog that's Froggy.

"Holy cow! That's Chris in there!"

"Hang on!"

They see Chaos extends several spines to attack Sonic and Y/N with.

"We're comin' Chris!"

Sonic uses the spines as leverage to get onto Chaos' back as Y/N kangaroo jumps over Chaos to his back too. Chris weakly smiles.

"Now, Chaos! Let's whip those hedgehogs into shape!" Eggman ordered.

Sonic gets up to dodge another tentacle. However, Y/N pushed Sonic out of the way and got knocked to the ground by another. Sonic gasps as Eggman laughs.

"Tenderize her with your tentacles, Chaos!"

"Y/N!" Sonic and Chris cried out.

Y/N braced herself for another impact, but she felt nothing. She looks up to see why the tentacles isn't attacking her.

"Huh?"

"What the...?"

Y/N sees that Knuckles is holding up the tentacle.

"Knuckles!"

"Of course, he'll be here..." Sonic grumbled.

"Don't worry. We'll get them out of here!"

"Yeah? How?"

Knuckles chuckles.

"I'll give ya a hint!"

He holds up the fist that Y/N immediately recognized.

"The Shovel Claw!"

"Huh? That?" Sonic sweatdropped.

"You got a problem with that, Sonic?"

"Nope, no problem here, but if you get too close to that thing, it might suck that claw right in."

Now it's Knuckles turn to sweatdrop as Y/N facepalmed.

"We gotta figure out some way to get through!"

Sonic gets up.

"There must be a weak spot hidden somewhere in that overgrown jellyfish!"

"Guys, hold up! Do you see what I see here?" Y/N pointed at something in Chaos.

"Oh, yeah! I see it." Sonic said.

"That's it!" Knuckles said.

Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles smile at each other. Knuckles destroys the tentacle before donning a Shovel Claw.

"Ready, sis?"

"Ready as I'll ever be!"

"Ready, Knuckles?"

"Ready! Let's go!"

Knuckles leaps into the air...

"Now, Shovel Claw!"

...before slashing away Chaos' inside, exposing its core.

"Go for it!"

Sonic and Y/N held each others' hand and together home attacks the core, destroying Chaos six times and causing it to explode into a watery mess. Eggman cries out. A soaking wet Chris is gasping for air, while Big holds Froggy.

"Hey, Froggy."

Knuckles picks up one of the Chaos Emeralds.

"There should be one more Emerald around here."

"Hey Chris, you doin' okay?" Sonic asked.

"You're not hurt?" Y/N asked, helping Chris up.

"Mhm. Only problem is, how do we get off of this thing?"

"We'll use the X-Tornado. Easy!"

Meanwhile, Eggman is making his getaway by using to oars to "row" through the air.

"Doctor, wait!" Bocoe said.

"You can't leave us here!" Decoe pleaded.

"Where do you think you're going?" Sonic popped out.

"Leaving so soon?" Y/N smirked.

"None of your business!" Eggman shouted.

"Watch out, Doctor!" two hench-bots warned.

Eggman grabbles with the Eggmobile.

"Let go of me, you hideous hedge-rats!"

"Sonic! Y/N!" Chris called.

"Don't worry. They can take care of themselves." Knuckles said.

In the Mystical Ruins

Sonic's head is stuck in the ground. He tries in vain to get it out. Y/N stood up, dusting herself and helped Sonic out as she pulled both of this legs. With one hard tug, she got Sonic free.

"Thanks for your help, sis."

Sonic rubs his sore head.

"Talk about a headache... Boy, that's the last time we hitch a ride with Eggman!"

"Tell me about it. But you might wanna take a look at this, bro."

Sonic looks up to where she was looking at and sees an old temple.
