They were all pretty worn out from searching the Chaos Emerald and battling Eggman, even their ghost adventure that they rather not talk about. Chris' Dad, Nelson suggested taking them on a cruise for a vacation by taking a yact and to take a look at the glaciers. Chris is relaxing in a deck chair with Y/N next to him as she take a sip of the cold lemonade. Just then, the blue blur zoom passed them.

"Four days?!" Sonic cried out.

"You mean we're only halfway there?" Tails asked.

"These yachts sure do go slow, don't they?" Cream said.

Sonic runs up to Chris and clungs onto him while Y/N who's ignoring her annoying brother kept on sipping her drink.

"Give me a break, will ya? Come on, pal! I don't take to water! Can't you see I'm gettin' seasick here?"

Chris just laughed nervously.

"Please, I beg ya, I'm goin' crazy! Get me off of this thing!"

He goes stir crazy and runs all over the ship in a frenzy.

Later that night, Y/N, Chris, Chuck, Tails, Amy, Cream, and Cheese are seated in a sitting room. Amy is holding Cheese. Chuck appears drunk.

"There, I feel much better now."

"Did you take those seasick pills the doctor gave you?" Chris asked.

"I sure did, my boy. And now that old Grandpa's feeling better, were gonna have a lot more fun."

"Yeah!"

"Chao!"

"You bet! Hahahaha...!" Chuck laughs and immediately falls asleep.

"Grandpa sure is enjoying himself." Amy said.

"Hey Chris, I know we're supposed to be relaxing and all, but what's there to do on this ship?" Tails asked.

"There's lots of stuff to do. How about taking a swim?"

A frenzied Sonic races by.

"Tails is just being rude! Don't pay any attention to him, Chris." Amy glare at Tails.

"That's right. Don't forget, Tails, Chris' father let us use this yacht out of the goodness of his heart. We should be grateful." Cream sternly said.

"Chao!" Cheese nodded.

Amy is suddenly upon Tails.

"Well, Tails?!"

"Heheh, uh, okay, uh, I-I'm grateful." Tails chuckled nervously.

"Guys, let's not get wild up on Tails. He's just curious and new to this ship." Y/N frowned at the girls.

"Thanks, Y/N."

"Tails will be okay. It's Sonic I'm worried about. I think he feels trapped. I guess I'd go crazy too if I were him." Chris said.

Sonic occasionally passes through the room in his frenzy.

"Here he comes again!" Cream said.

"I've seen Sonic go stir crazy before, but I've never seen anything as bad as this!" Tails said.

"No kidding..." Y/N deadpanned.

"Okay. It's time for a meeting." Amy steps out into the middle of the room.

"Halt."

Sonic stops right in front of her.

"Let's have a little talk, Sonic."

"What about?"

"About you."

"About me?"

"And about the way you're acting. I've never seen such immature behavior. We're on this ship for ten more days and ten more nights. Get used to it! Be brave. And just remember, bravery is not the absence of fear, but the facing of it. Nobody wants to see their hero carrying on like a big crybaby. We want him to meet every challenge head on. Remember that, Sonic."

"Think Amy's really getting through to him, Chris?" Tails asked Chris who grunted in agreement.

"I don't think so." Y/N shook her head.

"Now go for it, hero, and keep your head held high!" Amy said.

Sonic starts to walk away. He takes a glance back, but suddenly faints.

"He collapsed! I was too overwhelming!"

"Uh, we've got to do something! I think he's sick!"

"Okay, I'll call Dad."

Y/N look back at her brother if he's okay, but found him looking back at them with a smirk. Her eyes twitched in anger that he faked it.

The next morning, a helicopter lands on the ship.

"Well, I'm off! It's been a real blast, but I gotta split! See ya!"

"Hey! He isn't sick! He's a fake!" Amy glared at Sonic.

"It's okay. After all, why make him stay on the boat if he doesn't want to?" Chris said.

"Enjoy your vacay, kids! I'll catch you on the flip side, huh?"

He is about to board the helicopter, but is surprised to see several elderly people come out and surround him.

"Wow, what have we here?"

"Isn't he something?"

"What's going on?" Tails asked.

Tanaka appears.

"Good morning. Nice day."

"Tanaka! What are you doing here? Who are all these people?"

"These people are joining us from the Silver Star Retirement Home. It is Mr. Thorndyke's hope that you and your friends will learn from them. They will be your coaches, you see."

"Coach us?"

"Mr. Tanaka, what will they coach us on?" Amy asked.

"On how to relax. You see, they have all worked hard for many years, and now the time has come for them to relax. They will tach you how to as well."

Chris waved his hands.

"No thanks, Mr. Tanaka. I just want the helicopter to take Sonic home."

Tanaka's glasses flash.

"He will remain here. Even a great warrior needs his rest. Constant battle will not only exhaust the body, but also the mind. The warrior must relax and be rejuvenated, so that when next he goes to battle, he is mightier than before!"

He punches the air as the helicopter's rotor spin.

"Hey! Where are you going? What about me?!"

The helicopter takes off. Sonic, now apart from the others, falls on his knees and extends his hands in the air in depair.

"No, wait! COME BACK!!!"

"Whelp. Have fun suffering, again!" Y/N chuckled, making him glare at her.

"Wanna play card games with me, young lady?" the old lady asked.

"Sure."

As time went by, they learned more and more about relaxing and enjoying life from our new friends. Y/N was staring at the view of the ocean when she noticed Sonic takes a running and jump off the ship. This is the fifteen time he's been doing this. He lands in the water quite some distance away. She sighed and threw out the life preserver to him who caught up and fished him out of the water, and brought him back to the boat as he land rather roughly.

"Can't you just get it over with it and start relaxing? It's getting on my nerves."

"But I can't relax! There's water all around me!"

"Well, at least think something more positive. And don't think of trying to make another trick because it's not gonna work." she said and walked away.

But Sonic doesn't listen to her as he grins slyly, getting the idea.

The next day, Y/N was wiping her hair and quills with her towel from swimming in the pool when she saw Sonic down on the ground in front of Chris and Chuck.

"What's going on? Why's Sonic on the ground?"

"Aah! Amy's gone berserk and Tails is acting weird like he's freaking out!" Chris cried out.

"Uh-huh. Soon this boat's gonna drive everyone bananas sooner or later..." Sonic said.

"...What?"

"What do you think, Grandpa? Maybe we should ask the captain if we should turn the ship around."

Sonic's ears perk up.

"I don't know. I have a feeling something fishy's going on..." Chuck said.

Amy, Cream, and Cheese enter the room.

"Did he really truly say that, Amy?" Cream asked.

"It's the truth, Cream! He said his little heart beat faster every time I swung my hammer. He's so dreamy." Amy said with a sigh.

"Wow, that's so sweet!"

"Chao!"

Chris and Chuck sweatdrops while Y/N feel like she's going to explode that he played Amy's feelings when he again clearly has a girlfriend!!

"I have a feeling that someday soon, Sonic's gonna ask me to be his girl..."

"Really?"

"Chao chao!"

Sonic tries to crawl away as Chris and Y/N started yelling.

"SONIIIIC!!!"

"YOU'RE DEAD TO ME, SONIC! DEAAAAD!!!"

The day after that, Chris and Tails are on the deck, enjoying the scenery.

"Hey, look, Tails."

"An iceberg! We're near the glaciers!"

Chuck arrives and places a coat around Chris' shoulders.

"Put this on. It's a bit chilly out here."

"Hey, thanks, Grandpa. Guess Amy's still pretty upset with Sonic, huh."

"Yes. Well, it wasn't very nice of him to lie to her like that." Chuck nodded, shaking his head.

"But Amy can't stay mad forever." Tails said.

Meanwhile, Sonic is cowering on top of the mast.

"Sonic, come on. You cant stay up there all day. Don't you want to see all the wonderful things I can do with this hammer? It's pretty amazing, but you've gotta see it up close, got it?" Amy said with a fake smile.

"You heard her, dear brother~ You should do what she says before you get hurt. Oh, wait. Nevermind. You will be~" Y/N smirked.

"Ah, no thanks! I'll just stay up here, catch some rays. Maybe another time." Sonic nervously said.

"All right, that's it! You come down off that pole this instant, got it?!"

Amy started hammering the mast, repeatedly, which causes the nearby Cream to panic.

"Oh, I don't like it when Amy gets mad!"

"Let her. Sonic will come down sooner."

"I get the feeling we ought to stay out of this." Chuck said, backing away.

"I agree!" Chris said.

A whale surfaces and sprays water from its blowhole. Y/N looked over the railing and was in awe to see such beautiful creature in the ocean. She took out her camera and started taking pictures.

"Look at that!"

"Wow!"

"It's a whale!"

Something else surfaces as well.

"Another one!"

"Wow, look how big it is!"

Y/N looked over through her camera and gasped, pulling away.

"Guys, that's not a whale!"

"I guess not."

"If not, what is it?"

"Thought you could take a pleasure cruise without me, eh? Well, think again!" Eggman growls through the Egg Fort II.

"Let's go get them!" Decoe said.

"We can beat that overgrown tugboat any day!" Bocoe said.

Amy, having finally gotten Sonic down from the mast, is now smugly sitting on him. Y/N snicker to see that, knowing he deserve that. But now this isn't the time since Eggman is here.

"Heheh... I was wondering how long it would take for you bozos to show up. You two boys staring to rust yet?" Sonic smirked.

"We are incapable of corrosion."

"You, on the other hand, are a rotten little hedgehog!"

"Stop all this yammering at once! You two tinheads are forgetting who's in charge here! I hope you've enjoyed yourself, Sonic and Y/N, because your happy litle holidays are about to end!"

"Oh yeah, I'd say the fun's about to start!"

"Bring it, you Egghead!" Y/N punched her fist.

"Don't be so sure, warthogs!"

Suddenly, the ship stops.

"Hey, why did you stop the ship?" Chris asked the captain.

"What's going on here?" Chuck asked.

"It's the glacier, Mr. Thorndyke! Sure is a beauty, isn't it, sir? We can stay here as long as you like!"

Chuck, Chris, and Tails fall over in exasperation. Y/N smacked her head in exasperation.

"Are you crazy?! This is no time to look at the glacier!"

Y/N puts on her roller skating shoes and her and Sonic leaps off the ship and lands on the iceberg.

"Okay! If you want a fight, you got a fight! Bring it on, Egghead!" Sonic said.

"All in good time, my friend. First let's mix things up a bit, shall we? Perhaps you seafaring simpletons would like to see what my new Egg Fort 2 can do. Get ready to be blown away! All right, Egg Fort II, combine! One!" Eggman ordered.

"Two!" Bocoe said next.

"Three!" Decoe said last.

The three sections combine into one big ship.

"Egg Fort II complete!"

"Impressive, eh?"

Sonic started running on the iceberg.

"Come on! Try and catch me! What are you waitin' for?"

"Uh... Sonic?" Y/N started.

"What?"

"You're going nowhere."

He looked down to find himself not going anywhere.

"Oh no!"

Suddenly, the Egg Fort II blasts the iceberg, sending them into the air.

"Oh, watch out!" Chris warned.

Y/N grabbed Sonic's hand and started helping him skate as they dodged the lasers left to right. 

"Hahaha! This much fun should be illegal!"

"Keep moving!"

"Be careful!"

"Don't worry! We'll get help!"

Suddenly, a granny takes the captain's intercom.

"Oh, poor little thing. You're having a tough time. I may be an old-timer, but I just might be able to help you out. Now Sonic, I want you to breathe deeply and relaaax."

She let go of her brother's hand and he managed to get a grip on the ice with his sneakers.

"Thanks for the help, Granny."

"Glad to help, sweetie. Now, focus on your goal. Relax, stay in the moment, and feel the ice with your feet."

Sonic lands smoothly on one of the icebergs.

"Not bad. Now if I could only keep my feet from slipping, this ought to be a piece of cake!"

"Something's the matter. Why isn't he frightened?" Decoe asked.

"I don't like it. A moment ago, we had him on the run." Bocoe said, having a bad feeling about this.

"He certainly is cool all of a sudden, isn't he? Enough of this! Let's put the freeze on the hedgehog!"

Eggman aims the Egg Fort II's guns at the cruise ship.

"Captaaaiiin!" the crew cried out.

Suddenly, a frantic Bokkun arrives and clings to the Egg Fort II's windshield.

"What are you doing here?!" Eggman growled.

"He looks upset." Decoe commented.

"Please let me in!" Bokkun cried out with a frightened look on his face.

"Why should we let you in?"

Just then, the X-Tornado appears.

"It's the X-Tornado!" Chris gasped.

"But who's flying it?" Tails asked.

It is revealed that Ella is piloting the X-Tornado.

"I'll get you, you brat!" Ella angrily said.

"It's Ella!"

"But how?" Amy asked.

"How'd she learn to ride the X-Tornado?"

"Ella can do anything she puts her mind to... except windows." Chuck explained.

"Aah! Help me!" Bokkun screamed.

"What are you bawling about, Bokkun?" Eggman asked.

"Now we change to X-Cyclone! Transform!

The X-Tornado converts into the X-Cyclone, then prepares to kick the Egg Fort II.

"You see who's boss now!! Cyclone Kick!"

The X-Cyclone succeeds in kicking the Egg Fort II into the distance. It disappears with a twinkle.

Later, everyone is back to relaxing.

"So often we rush through our lives from day to day, not seeing what is really important. Just think of it - the smell of the ocean, the rustling of leaves, moments with family and friends. Sometimes just to sit and fell the warmth of the sun..." Granny said.

"Sonic!"

Sonic looks up to see Tails in the X-Tornado.

"The X-Tornado's all set to go! You still want to go back to town?"

"Uh... What's the rush? Come on down here."

"Huh?"

"I changed my mind. I think I'll take it easy, just enjoy muself for a while."

"I think you've made the right decision, Sonic. Remember, there's always enough time to wile away the hours and just be happy. Now let's all relax and enjoy ourselves!" Granny smiled.

In the guest room, Y/N was lying down on her bed writing her journal so she won't ever forget the adventures she had with her brother and her friends.
