The tower's floodlights switch on, and several E-30 Laser Tanks make moves to protect the base from Sonic the Hedgehog, who is dashing their way along with his sister Y/N, who was rocket powered skating. The treaded robots move outside the gates, which promptly close. As soon as they come into range, the Laser Tanks open fire. As Sonic nimbly outruns the lasers, several turrets fire a hail of rockets at them. Y/N dodges the lasers and waltz jumped high and went back to skating. The rockets explode on the ground behind Y/N and Sonic as they used the Laser Tanks as leverage to leap inside the perimeter of Eggman's base, evading their laser fire as they ran or skated. Several E-12 Behemoth robots activate themselves and, leaping up, cut Sonic off, forcing him to break left along with her. One Behemoth began to chase them.

"You ready for this, sis?" Sonic smirked.

"You know it!" Y/N smirked back, bending her knees.

The Behemoth chases them down a tunnel. There is another Behemoth further down the tunnel, but they went to the left, causing the two Behemoths to run into each other and explode. On their way out, Sonic accidentally steps on a spring pad, which bounces both of them into the air. His body is met with the fist of a Behemoth which sends him flying. Miles "Tails" Prower and Amy Rose, who are both seated in the Tornado 2, witnesses this.

"Sonic! Y/N!" called Tails.

The Tornado swoops down, but takes a few hits by the turrets. Amy cringes at the hits, but then is horrified to see that the Tornado is on fire.

"Tails! The plane's on fire! What are we gonna do?!" Amy exclaimed.

"Don't worry!" he said and pulled the lever next to him.

The Tornado launches a rocket. It speeds toward the falling siblings, and its tip breaks off, revealing a Power Ring. It falls in the same area that they are falling. Sonic caught it and grabbed Y/N's hand. A moment later, there is a bright flash, and Sonic and Y/N barreled back toward the base. They spun right into the Laser Tanks, destroying them on the spot. They sliced through two Behemoths like butter. A third Behemoth tried to pin the hedgehogs down, but is uppercut when Sonic and Y/N flies up from underneath it. They broke through one of the tower's lights and entered the base.

Meanwhile, Tails prepares for a crash landing.

"Hang on, Amy!" Tails exclaimed.

The Tornado bounces a few times. Amy's eyes widen in horror, as there is a massive rock in their path.

"Ahh! We're gonna...CRASH!" Amy screamed.

"I KNOW!"

Suddenly, a spiked fist punches through the rock, shattering it completely. The plane safely skids to a stop. Tails looks up to see who saved them.

"Knuckles! Thank you!" he awed.

"Hmph!" Knuckles scoffed.

"What's the matter with him?" Amy asked.

Knuckles the Echidna's gaze is fixed on Eggman's base. Smoke rises from the robots that Sonic and Y/N had destroyed. Well, Knuckles think it was mostly Sonic's idea to do that and he doesn't blame Y/N for being in Sonic's mess.

"Overkill. Just like always." Knuckles said.

Inside Dr. Eggman's fortress, an alarm triggers, seemingly sealing all the interior doors inside the base. Dr. Eggman's hench-bots Decoe and Bocoe are looking at a radar. Decoe then turns toward his master.

"Doctor Eggman. The facility is in 100% lockdown." Decoe said.

"Why does that cursed Sonic and Y/N always get in my way?!" Eggman growled.

Cream the Rabbit, who is trapped inside a glass sphere with her Chao friend Cheese, answers.

"He doesn't get in your way, Dr. Eggman. Sonic just tries to stop you from doing all the bad things you like to do. Sister Y/N would do whatever it takes to stop you from interrupting the peace she wishes to have."

"Chao-chao." Cheese agreed.

"Ohh, is that so?"

He holds up a red Chaos Emerald.

"Well, they're too late to stop me this time! Once I insert the last Chaos Emerald, my energy amplifier will be invincible!"

"But you can't do that!" Cream exclaimed.

"Chao-chao-chao!"

Rouge the Bat is perched on an overhead ledge, taking in the scene.

"That's right! Sonic and Y/N won't let you get away this!" Cream said.

Dr. Eggman laughs maniacally.

"You're wrong, Creamy-dreamy! They can't sto- Gah!"

Sonic and Y/N smashes right into the fortress' main room, startling Eggman.

"Sonic! Y/N!" Cream yelled in happiness.

"Chao! Chao!" Cheese exclaimed.

"Sonic. Y/N. Too late!" Eggman said and quickly inserts the last Chaos Emerald into a slot in the machine, closes the hatch, and presses various buttons. He then holds up an activation button.

"You'll never stop me now, you two! Hahaha! All I have to do is to push this little button!" he laughed.

"Oh, yeah? If you can push it before Sonic can grab it." Y/N smirked.

Eggman cringes, then smiles in delight as an E-13 Guardbot appears behind them.

"Why don't you give it a try?!"

The Guardbot fires at Sonic, who escapes its lasers with ease. Sonic and Y/N chuckled as they dodged the gunfire from Guardbot.

"Don't let them get away! Stop them, no matter what!"

The gunfire nearly hits Rouge near her hiding spot if it wasn't for Y/N's save when she noticed her from above and dodged the laser with her katana. Sonic and Y/N who quickly followed, landed right in front of Eggman just as Guardbot is turning towards them.

"Ahh! No! Hold your fire!"

They leapt out of the way just as Guardbot begins firing, forcing Eggman to duck. When the torrent of firepower ends, he stands up and reaches for the switch.

"HAH!! HERE WE GO!!"

He presses the button, but is surprised to see that the machine is crackling and riddled with laser holes.

"Ughhhh! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!!"

Everyone looks on as a strange energy build inside the machine. Then suddenly, a massive field of light spawns from the machine and pulsates outward, enveloping everything and everyone in its brightness. It escapes the base and keeps growing outward. Even Tails, Amy, and Knuckles notice it.

"What is that?" Amy asked.

"Chaos Control." Knuckles answered as everything turns white.

Sonic wakes up in complete darkness. He sits up and rubs his head.

"Ugh. Man, I must have passed out or something!" he groaned, looking around and found Y/N lying on the ground next to him.

"Y/N! Wake up!"

Sonic shook her, making her wake up with a groan. Y/N sat up and looked at her surroundings.

"Where are we? What happened?"

"That's what I want to know."

Suddenly, Sonic sees two bright lights heading right towards them!

"Whoa!"

He quickly grabbed Y/N and fleed just as the lights are about to collide with them. They noticed another pair of lights are coming their way and then realized their surroundings. There is a car right in front of them, complete with a surprised driver. They gaped and realized they are surrounded by vehicles in the center of a four-way intersection. In the midst of a city. Even the people can't help but stare.

"Where are we?" Sonic asked.

"Looks like we're not in Mobian Island anymore.." Y/N mumbled.

The drivers begin to get impatient.

"What is this? Halloween?!" the truck driver said.

Two police officers begin approaching Sonic and Y/N.

"So they can talk..." Sonic said.

"I mean, how else are we gonna understand them if they don't talk?" Y/N commented.

"What are they?" one police officer asked.

"They look like two big hedgehogs." second police officer answered.

"Blue and light blue hedgehogs?"

"Well, whatever they are, we better get them out of here."

Police Officer 2 bends down to Sonic and Y/N's level.

"Hey, buddies. Wanna ride with us down to the station?"

"Should I call for backup?" police officer 1 asked.

"I have three kitty cats at home. I think I can these little fellas." police officer 2 said, intimiating kissing sounds.

Unimpressed, Sonic frowns, crossing his arms in disapproval. Y/N deadpans, placing her hands on her hips, looking at them like they are stupid.

"Did you see that? These things' got an attitude. Bad ones."

Police officer 2 gets serious.

"Yeah? Well, they won't get away from me!"

He tried to jump at them, but Sonic took Y/N's hand and they easily moved out of the way.

"Wha? Huh?"

Police officer 1 reaches for his billy club.

"Why you-!"

"Hey, hey. Take it easy. I think we can handle this without getting rough."

"Yes, but sir..."

"Duffy, get behind them." police officer 3 ordered.

"Right, Sarge!"

They are now surrounded by a whole bunch of polic officers.

"Okay, now when I say the word, we're all going to jump on them at once."

Sonic and Y/N looked at each other and nodded.

"Alright then, is everyone ready? LET'S DO IT!"

They both jumped out of the way just as all the officers pounce on Sonic and Y/N's location. Sonic sat on the roof of a nearby car and Y/N stood next to him as she checked her boots to see she still have her rocket rollar skates on. They watched them wrestle with each other, making her giggle.

"Okay, Sarge, I think I got on of their legs!"

"I got one 'round the neck, Sarge!"

"Alright, let's pull them out at the count of three." Sarge said. "One. Two. Three!"

All the officers pull, in reality pulling on each other, which sends them into a spin, making them dizzy. Y/N slapped her knee, letting out a few giggles and her brother shrugged. Suddenly, the net was plopped over Sonic's head.

"No worry, Sarge! I've got one of them!"

Sonic takes off running, dragging the officer with him. Y/N quickly followed, activating her rocket powered skating. All the officers grab the net, and therefore are also dragged. Pedestrians and drivers alike stare in shock. A police car drives up. The police car screeches to a halt as Sonic leaps over it, freeing himself from the net. With nowhere else to go, the officers grabbing the net are slammed and squeezed into the car. Police officer 3 picks up a radio and sends out a dispatch.

Sonic and Y/N went down the road for a few miles and he stopped and stood on the hood of the car, hands on his hips. Y/N followed suit as they took a look around.

"How did we end up here, Sonic?" she asked.

"I don't know how we got here, sis. But we gotta find a way out." he said.

He jumped off the car and they took off down the road ahead of the car. The police helicopter arrived flying above the highway as they head towards the highway and the searchlight spotted them that are still running or skating on the highway.

"Sonic, I think we got company. And it looks like those flying machines are right on our tails." Y/N warned him, looking up.

"Good to know. And they've made it fun by blocking our way."

Y/N looked ahead to see a roadblock is set up on the highway, consisting of several barriers, police cars, and even front loaders and a large truck.

"How about we give them a show?" she smirked.

Sonic smirked back at her and they both made a one big jump and far over the roadblock. They landed on the other side and sped away, surprising the humans. For about a mile, they decided to take a stop by the road. Sonic grabbed her hand and both sat on top of a street light, looking up at the moon.

"Beautiful view. The sky looks the same. So do the stars and the moon." Y/N said.

"I guess Chaos Control must have sent us here. We traveled through space. Did we travel through time too? Are we the only ones here? Are all the others...gone?" Sonic wondered.

"I don't think our friends are gone! They would never just disappear if we were the last ones in the world. You'll never know if we find out where they are."

Sonic smiles and ruffles her hair, making her whine in dismay, swatting his hand away.

"You're right, sis. I guess we'll find out soon enough!"

She nodded with a smile and they both jumped off the lamp post and saw lights heading towards them. They got closer and saw 5 race cars and they stopped. The adult human male with orange hair and green eyes, wearing red jumpsuit and helmet named Sam Speed stepped out of the car to face them. Y/N got into her fighting stance and Sonic stood in front of her to protect her, even though she can handle herself, he still needs to look after her.

"Hi there! You're a hard duo to keep up with."

Siblings turned to leave, but stopped by Sam's voice.

"Hey, hold on! We don't get such fast company very often. In fact, I'm glad you two showed up."

"And why is that?" Y/N asked.

"This place is way too peaceful. Over the last 12 months, I've only made one arrest. Some joker got it into his head that he was a hot-shot driver. Had his own Formula-One car and everything. I guess he thought he give me a run for my money, but it was all over in a minute. It took me longer than that to suit up!"

Sonic turns, completely facing Sam and smirks in amusement with his hands on his hips as Y/N just look at Sam wondering if he's done blabbering himself.

"He never had a chance. Of course it's our own fault, this town's dull mainly because of us. You see, we're the high-speed pursuit unit, the S-Team. And I'm the leader of the team. They call me the 'Highway Star'." he said and looked at Sonic before giving him a glare. "So even if you think you're the fastest thing around, think again!"

They both gasped and took off as the 4 cars began to chase after them.

"Heh. The S-Team, eh? The 'S' must stand for "slow-motion". Ha ha!" Sonic chuckled before speeding up with Y/N following him as she made her rocket boost go a little faster.

They noticed the cars are boxing them in.

"Well, well, well! It's starting to look like the rush hour!"

The cars slowly close-in on them.

"Oh no, how will we ever escape?" Y/N chuckled with a fake dread and they leapt out from among the cars.

"Where are they? Did I run them over?"

Sonic knocks at his car's window. The driver turns to look around as Sonic runs to another car. A driver sees suddenly sees Sonic's head peeking on his windshield. Sonic is revealed to be standing on top of the car. Y/N was with him the whole time with her rocket off as she had skated her way to follow her brother.

"Huh?! Hey you! This is dangerous! It's irresponsible! What happens if kids start trying this?!"

Sonic turned to the readers.

"You guys, don't ever get on top of a moving car, okay?"

"There will be consequences for this!" Y/N smiled.

They both dismount themselves of the car and took off into the road.

"You're not gonna treat the S-Team like chumps! We'll teach you a lesson! Boost all wings .5 degrees and let's get this guy!" Hector fumed.

"Roger!"

The wing frames of Hector's car adjust themselves accordingly, allowing each member to move faster.

"Full throttle! Huh?!"

Hector sees Sonic running backwards and Y/N skating backwards with smirk on their faces

"What the-?! How can-?! They're playing with us!"

"Where did this thing come from?!"

"Chief, you gotta do something!"

"Playtime is now officially over! Attention all units, open the center line!" Sam ordered and Hector and the other S-Team officers split to clear a path between them for Sam to pass. "I didn't think I have to do this but I have no choice. I will not have anybody, faster than me, on my highway!"

Sam started to pick up a speed and was coming fast.

"Y/N! I'm gonna let this guy pull ahead of us! So get ready!" Sonic said and she nodded, taking out her whip.

As soon as the car passed them, she lassoed her whip towards Sonic and he grabbed it, wrapping it around his waist as she braced herself. With one big boost, Sonic zooms right past Sam. Y/N laughed to see the look on Sam's face as Sonic breaches the sound barrier and rockets down the highway.

"A sonic boom?!"

"Chief! You're running out of road!"

Sam blinks in surprise. He deploys parachutes to slow him down, and also slams on the brakes. Sonic sees the end of the road as well, bit it is too late. Y/N gasped as they zoomed off the edge of the cliff. They flew by a wind farm, making the turbines spin wildly, thus making the city glow more brightly than usual. The siblings took in the sight.

"It's...beautiful..." she said.

"Maybe this place isn't so bad. At least I know somebody I can have fun with."

"Of course." she chuckled, rolling her eyes and looked down with her eyes wide.

"Um...Sonic?"

"Huh?" he asked.

Y/N laughed nervously and pointed down below. He looked down to see a familiar blue color.

"A... A pool?!"

He grins sheeplishly at you.

"Uh...oh!"

There are two things her brother couldn't stand. Going slow and mostly water because he can't swim, except her. He tries to run in midair to land elsewhere, but he can't as he looked at Y/N again.

"See ya!"

Sonic lands in the water with a tremedous splash.

"SONIC!!"

What they didn't know is that the boy is awake inside the house after hearing a loud splash. He turns on the light and looks out the window. He sees you landed near the pool and took off her rocket wheels and turned them into a cube and placed them in her box for it to be charged and then put them in her red mini backpack.

He then races out of his room, down the hall, down the stairs, and out the door en route to the pool. Back to Y/N as she watched in worry as her brother tried to run, but finally gives up and sat at the bottom with his arms crossed. She shook her head, took a deep breath, and dove down into the water. She reached out for him and grabbed his wrist, pulling him to the surface. Just as they were halfway to the surface, when the boy broke through the surface and stretches out his hand. Y/N reached out and took his hand and he pulls them to the surface. When they got to the surface, Sonic and Y/N coughed violently, while a human boy rubbed their backs.

"That was close! Are you two okay?"

"Uh... Yeah. Thanks a lot." Sonic said.

"Yeah. Thank you." Y/N said.

The boy blinks in surprise.

"I didn't think you two can talk."

"We can do a lot of things." Sonic said.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't we?" Y/N said.

"Wow, that's awesome! I'm Chris! And you are? What's your guys' name?!"

"I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sonic grinned.

"And I'm his sister Y/N. Y/N the Hedgehog!" Y/N smiled at Chris.

A/N: I will be mixing the stories with both english and japanese version because japanese has shown more scenes than other versions that have been cut off for no reason. The children wouldn't mind and will understand more about the anime.. As for english, the actors show more emotions to the characters' personalities that fits them perfectly. Sorry, Jap. I love both the japanese and english songs, but the Japanese has a lot emotions, love, and more.
