In the festival after the Poltergeist:
Telestina was on the phone.

Telestina: Yes, fortunately there were no casualties. More importantly, come up with a statement to release publicly so we can avoid a panic. Of course, this wasn't actually an earthquake-

Kuroko: It was the Poltergeist.

Telestina turns around.

Telestina: Yes, it was the Poltergeist. Later then.

Telestina ends the call.

Misaka: Thank you for rescuing our friend.

Sonic: Really, thanks.

Telestina: I could say to you.

Sonic: Hmm? Me?

Telestina: I wouldn't have gotten there in time if it wasn't for you holding it off for her. With your speed, you could be the next level 5.

Sonic: Hmm? (The next...?)

Telestina: Anyway, I'm just glad she wasn't injured.

Kuroko: By the way, what is that? Are they measuring the AIM diffusion fields? Were you able to detect any abnormalities in the field at MAR before this?

Telestina: Hmm?

Kuroko: Ah, it's just that you reacted so quickly...

Telestina: What's your name?

Kuroko: I'm Shirai from Branch 177 of Judgement.

Telestina: I see, it would appear Branch 177 has some skilled staff. I'm surprised you've already deduced the connection between AIM diffusion field and RSPK.

Sonic: That's Kuroko for you.

Kuroko: RSPK is being caused by somebody interfering with AIM fields. The Poltergeist phenomenon is being caused by simultaneous occurrences of RSPK. If you had told us that at the coalition meeting, Judgement could have helped track down possible suspects.

Telestina: That's Antiskill's jurisdiction. As I mentioned in the meeting, Judgment's role is to concentrate on stopping the spread of rumors and maintaining order.

Sonic: Huh...?

Misaka: Interference with AIM diffusion fields... Is there someone else capable of that?

Telestina: Someone else?

Saten: Misaka-san! We're accompanying her to the hospital.

Misaka: We'll go too!

Kuroko: We can't do that, Sissy! The dorm mistress will be on patrol soon!

Sonic: (Hmm...)

In Tokiwadai dorms:
Kuroko: That's good, I'm glad she's safe. Later then.

Kuroko ends the call on Uiharu.

Kuroko: Haruue-san managed to get back to her dorm safely.

Kuroko notices no response from neither Misaka or Sonic as Misaka was looking at something in the computer. She then jumps onto Misaka.

Kuroko: Sissy! What have you been looking up this whole time?

Sonic: Actually, we've been looking on this.

Kuroko: Hmm? The Level Upper case? Why are you looking at that now?

Misaka: It bothers me. It kinda reminds me of this Poltergeist case. We found out it was a crime committed by manipulating AIM diffusion fields, right?

Kuroko: You think Kiyama might be involved in this case too.

Sonic: That could be, but I doubt she's behind it this time.

Kuroko: That's right. She's detained in district 17's special prison. There's no chance such a high profile criminal could escape.

Misaka: I guess you're right.

Sonic: Hey, there's something that's also bothering me lately. Surely, you know it too, Kuroko.

Kuroko: You mean, Harrue-san, right?

Sonic: Mhmm. She's been acting different whenever those Poltergeist whatever happens.

Misaka: Now that you mention it, it was like she was talking to someone that wasn't there.

Kuroko: The current Poltergeist case is caused by deliberate interference of AIM diffusion fields. Which means there's probably an esper behind it.

Sonic: She's right. It's fishy how all of this is happening near us.

Misaka: You don't mean...

Kuroko: I don't want to believe it either!

Kuroko leans on Misaka as she tries to push her off.

Misaka: Hey! Back off! Anyway, there's no way that's possible! Haruue-san only just transferred in! Saten said how district 19 having Poltergeist incidents.

Kuroko: Saten said that? District 19 hasn't had any Poltergeist incidents lately.

Sonic: Now all of a sudden, it's happening here in district 7?

Misaka: It's just a coincidence! There's no way such a quiet girl has anything to do with the Poltergeist!

Sonic: I don't know... I'm mixed on this.

Misaka: Sonic, don't tell me you-

Sonic: Look, don't take this the hard way, but it's fishy how a Poltergeist has been happening near us. Not only that, it wasn't the first time this happened either. Seems sketchy, if you ask me. *Sighs* I don't want to believe it either, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Misaka: ...

Kuroko: Look, we should all get some time to rest off of things.

Misaka: Yeah... good night.

Kuroko: Night, Sissy!

Sonic: Night.

Misaka and Kuroko drove to sleep as Sonic was still thinking about it as he then removes it off of him as he goes to sleep.

In Uiharu's dorm:
Saten: She looks fast asleep.

Uiharu: Thanks for accompanying us.

Saten: Don't worry about it, it's not like it's your fault. And she's your roommate, which makes her a candidate to be a friend.

Uiharu: I feel like I've been relying on you all day.

Saten: You mean today too, right?

Uiharu pouts at Saten as she giggles a little.

Saten: Haruue-san gave me quite the surprise though. How could she not remember anything about the earthquake?

Uiharu: Yes, I think she's in a light state of shock, like the doctor said.

Saten: It was pretty scary.

Uiharu: Yeah...

Saten opens the door to leave.

Saten: That turned out to be a pretty crazy fireworks festival, but I'm glad everyone's okay. Make sure you look after Haruue-san properly.

Uiharu: Leave it to me! Oh, Saten-san. Thank you!

Saten smiles as she leaves the dorm.

Uiharu walks back as Haruue starts to wake up.

Uiharu: Did I wake you?

Haruue: Where am I?

Uiharu: In our dorm. How do you feel? Would you like a drink?

Haruue: No... Did I maybe cause you trouble?

Uiharu: Not at all.

Haruue: I know I'm strange. I wonder if everyone will hate me again.

Uiharu: There's no way that'll happen. I'm backing you up after all! Oh yeah, Saten-san bought you something nice. Wait here a minute.

Uiharu comes back with a plate of watermelon with a bottle of salt. Uiharu and Haruue both start eating.

Haruue: It's delicious!

Uiharu: This is from the Kumamoto prefecture. Saten-san says the ones grown in Academy City have no flavor.

Haruue: You're all so kind... Uiharu-san, Saten-san and everyone... I can't do anything by myself. All I can do is wait... Even though I hate that about myself... Even though I want to change.

Uiharu: It's fine, you can change. Thanks to everyone, I was able to join Judgement. Haruue-san has everyone's help too! So I'm sure you will.

Haruue: Will I be able to change?

Uiharu: Of course! I guarantee it! Now eat lots and cheer up!

The next day in Judgement Branch Office:
Saten was in a call with Uiharu.

Saten: You're at the nature park? With Haruue-san? That's unfair! Why didn't you invite me? And you never told me you were off duty today either!

Uiharu was heard breathing for air.

Uiharu: Sorry! Breathing some minus ions... every once in a while... might be nice, I figured.

Saten: Aren't you breathing it a little too much? You're breathing heavy...

Uiharu was rowing as Haruue was holding her phone.

Uiharu: Am I? No... way...!

Saten ends the call.

Saten: I went to all the trouble of coming to play, but I got dumped.

Konori: Even though this isn't a place to play around...

Saten: Sorry! I know! Why don't I buy you something cold to refresh you?

Konori: That so? I'll have cold Chinese, mixed fried rice, stirfry, Sarandon and...

Saten: You sure can eat...

Meanwhile, Sonic, Misaka, and Kuroko are checking on files of Haruue.

Misaka: I don't feel right doing this after all...

Sonic: *Sighs*

Kuroko: Yeah. I agree, but we have to do we can clear up any doubts about Haruue-san.

Misaka: You're right.

Misaka generates electricity to the laptop as they check files on Haruue.

Misaka: Fount it.

Kuroko: Her ability is telepathy- mental communication.

Sonic: Telepathy huh?

Misaka: But she's Level 2, which means she can't really use it well. That's a relief, Haruue-san isn't related to the poltergeist.

Sonic: Is that so? Maybe I was a bit-

Kuroko: Sissy, Sonic. Look...

Sonic: Hmm? (Has been known to exhibit lower above her level class when subjected to specific wavelengths.) Could it be...?

The three both look at each other with unsure expressions.

With Uiharu and Haruue:
Uiharu: The wind feels so good!

Uiharu and Haruue were both eating as they sit on the bench.

Uiharu: I wonder why sushi rolls taste so good in places like this.

A silence happens as they eat till Haruue asks Uiharu.

Haruue: Last night... I was thinking about what you said to me the whole time. That I'll be able to change. And so I've decided. I will change.

Uiharu: Haruue-san...

Haruue: I have to tell you something. I'm... looking for a friend. I always got well with her, and we were always together. But one day we parted ways. She promised me that's we'd definitely meet again, so I waited. But just waiting isn't good enough! I have to look for her myself. Even now, I don't know how she's doing...

Uiharu stands up and holds her hands.

Uiharu: I understand. Let's look for her together. I'm sure we'll find her, so it's alright!

Haruue: Uiharu-san...

Moments later she then walks away from Uiharu as she calls out.

Haruue: Where are you? Why are you suffering so much?

Uiharu: What's wrong, Haruue-san! Haruue-

Uiharu looks up seeing the people on the little boat floating up in the air as the girl screams. Seconds after, an earthquake strucks in nature park as people were trying to hold on as trees were falling.

Uiharu: This is...

In Judgement office:
Konori gets a call.

Konori: The nature park in district 21? A large scale poltergeist incident?!

Sonic and the others were surprised.

Sonic: Another?

Saten: The nature park? Isn't that where Uiharu and Haruue are?

Misaka, Kuroko: What?

Sonic: You're kidding?!

In the hospital:
The doctor patches Uiharu's knee as the others arrived.

Misaka: Uiharu-san!

Uiharu: Everyone.

Saten: Are you okay? Any injuries?

Uiharu: Sorry for making you worry. I just got a bit of a scrape as you can see. I told them I didn't need treatment but...

Sonic: But all of them sure do need treatment. That's a lot injured.

Saten: Though, for you to run into a Poltergeist incident twice in a row... You and Haruue-san have quite the luck. Speaking of which, where is Haruue-san?

Uiharu: They brought her here first, so she should be somewhere. Don't worry, she was unharmed. She just lost consciousness...

Sonic, Misaka and Kuroko looked at each other as Kuroko starts asking questions.

Kuroko: Uiharu. Just before the Poltergeist incident, did Haruue-san show any signs of strange behavior? Like the way she acted at the fireworks festival, for instance.

Uiharu: *Unsure* Um... what are you-

Kuroko: I looked into her file and discovered she's a bit of a strange level 2 telepath. If she displayed suspicious behavior like before...

Uiharu: Why... Why did you look her up?

Sonic: (Oh boy...)

Kuroko: "Why...?"

Uiharu: Are you trying to say that she's the suspect?

Kuroko: Th-That's not exactly-

Uiharu: That's cruel, Shirai-san. She just transferred here, and she's relying on us to support her though her troubles, and yet even so... Even so!

Saten: Calm down, Uiharu.

Misaka: Uiharu-san, Kuroko was just-

Telestina: It's certainly possible that the one interfering with AIM diffusion fields is a telepath.

She appears behind the others as she enters

Saten: Telestina-san?

Telestina: It doesn't look like this one can accommodate anymore. Transport the rest to the emergency hospital in district 15.

Men: Roger.

Uiharu goes to speak.

Uiharu: Um-

Telestina: However, to do that, you'd need at least level 4 power. Quite a rare ability at that level. The probability of pulling it off at Level 2 is pretty much zero, but just to be sure, we had better examine her. What's your friend's name?

Kuroko: Haruue Eri-san.

Uiharu: Shirai-san!

Telestina: I'm sending one disaster victim to base. Send a car to the entrance.

Uiharu: Hey-

Telestina: Think of it as a test to verify she's innocent. It'll be alright, our staff are all specialists. Don't worry. Also, you shouldn't yell in a hospital.

Uiharu looks down as Saten comforts her.

Few minutes later:
Sonic, Misaka and Saten looks at the two in separate sofas. Sonic sighs as Telestina comes out.

Telestina: We've finished the test.

Uiharu: How's Haruue-san?

Telestina: Calm down, there's still some time before we get the result. Come with me.

Sonic in the back was giving a mixed feeling as Misaka notices.

Misaka: Sonic, you alright?

Sonic: Huh? Yeah, don't worry, I'm fine.

In Telestina's office:
Saten: This really doesn't feel like a researcher's room... Very interesting decoration sense...

Saten looks up seeing Misaka amazed looking at them. Sonic sees and smiles a bit.

Telestina: People tend to be surprised when they found out a woman in charge of a disaster relief squad like innocent things.

Misaka: Wait, so these are...

Telestina: Yep, my hobby. Now then. Now then, once again, I am the head of the Multi Active Rescue Squad's subsidiary research facility, Telestina.

Sonic: Uhh... Multi Active what now...?

Misaka and Saten was surprised.

Misaka, Saten: The head?!

Saten: That makes you the captain of MAR, the head of the research facility and what else?

Telestina: That's it. Thst reminds me, I haven't heard any of your names besides Shirai-san's. What are yours?

Misaka: I'm Misaka Mikoto.

Telestina: From Tokiwadai? It's an honor to be able to meet the Railgun. And...

Saten: I'm Saten Ruiko. Pleased to meet you.

Telestina: Do you also go to Tokiwadai?

Saten: No, Sakugawa Middle School.

Sonic: I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. Unlike them, Im not into school stuff.

Telestina: Interesting. Pleased to meet you. And then-

Uiharu: Uiharu Kazari of Branch 177 of Judgement.

Telestina: Then you and Shirai-san-

Uiharu: Um... Haruue-san is not the one interfering... not the culprit right?

Telestina: Want to test that out?

Uiharu: Huh?

Telestina pulls out a bean packet.

Telestina: What's your favorite color?

Uiharu: I don't have one in particular but if I had to choose, it'd be yellow.

Telestina shakes the packet and puts the bean in her hand as it was yellow.

Telestina: Oh? That's a good sign.

Everyone else was confused.

In the lab:
They enter the lab as they look through the window seeing Harrue laying down.

Uiharu: Haruue-san!

Telestina: Are the results in?

Researcher: Yes.

Telestina: Let's see...

Sonic: (Hmm...)

Telestina: Don't worry, she's not the source of the interference.

The others were in relief as Kuroko still wasn't sure.

Telestina: She's definitely a level 2 telepath. Moreover, she's a self-specialist. She's unable to transmit thoughts by herself.

Kuroko: But according to the information in the databanks, she's been known to exhibit power above her level class when subjected to specific-

Uiharu: Shirai-san! You're still going on about that?

Telestina: From what we've seen in our examinations, the person we're looking has very specific characteristics. In this particular case, we'd be able to detect them regardless of distance or any interference. In any case, there's no way she's responsible for the AIM diffusion field interference.

Uiharu: See? See?!

Kuroko: I was just...

Misaka: But... in that case, who on earth is responsible?

Sonic: Man... things are just getting crazy...

Few minutes in a hospital room:
Haruue then wakes up.

Haruue: Uiharu-san... Did I...

Uiharu: Don't worry about it. Everything is fine now.

Uiharu notices Haruue looking for her pendant as she hands it to her.

Uiharu: Here. That's important to you, right?

Haruue: Yes... It's a memento of a friend.

Uiharu: Is that the friend you've been looking for?

Haruue: I can hear her voice.

Sonic: Hmm?

Misaka: Her voice? That's a telepath's...

Haruue: Only once in a while though. But when I hear it, I go into a daze...

Kuroko: So back then you were...

Uiharu: Is there something inside?

Haruue: Yeah. She then opens the pendent, revealing the girl who Misaka remembers.

Misaka: Sonic, look.

Sonic: Hmm? Huh?

Haruue: Her name is Edosaki Banri.

Sonic, Misaka: That kid!

Sonic: No way... back then...

Haruue: Do you two know Banri-chan too?

Misaka: Well...

Haruue: You know, im also... a Child Error.
