With Saten and the others:
Akemi was trying to use her Level Upper to lift Mu into the air using her hands.
Mu: Whoa!
Akemi: This is amazing, Saten! Before, I could barely lift up a paper cup! Hmm? Saten?
Saten was controlling the leaves from her hands as it rotates around.
Saten: (What do I do... I've got a power!)
Mu then runs and jumps on Akemi.
Mu: Akemi! How dare you just drop me like that!
Saten: (It's not much of an ability compared to Kuroko, Sonic, or Misaka... And from others people's perspective, it must be pretty lame... But I've become an esper!)

In the Judgment Branch Office:
Uiharu: And finished! But to think you can level up just by listening to this... Is that actually possible?
Kuroko: Our helpful informant said that was the case.
Uiharu: Honestly, it seems suspicious to me... But if I used this and became a more powerful esper than Kuroko... I could get back at her in all sorts of ways...
Kuroko: Your thoughts are leaking out.
Uiharu: Eh?
Kuroko: If you'd like to get back at me so much, you'll welcome to-
Uiharu: I was kidding, just kidding!
They then heard a phone ringing.
Uiharu: Your phone's ringing!
Kuroko opens her phone.
Kuroko: Yes... Yes. Understood.
Kuroko ends the call.
Kuroko: It seems some students are rampaging again. Contact Kiyama.
Uiharu: Got it!

Few minutes later:
Kiyama: Yes, I received the file.
Uiharu: Do you think it's possible to raise one's abilities using music software?
Kiyama: I think that would be difficult... Though it's possible with Testament.
Uiharu: Testament? Does such equipment exists? Right. Yes. Is that so... Thank you for everything.
Uiharu ends the call.
Uiharu: (Are we barking up the wrong tree with this music software?)
Uiharu tried to call Saten, but she didn't pick up.
Uiharu: (Wonder what she's doing?)
Sonic opens the door with bags of food.
Sonic: Hey, Uiharu. I've got some food for you.
Uiharu: Really?! Thank you!
Sonic: Hehe. Where's Kuroko?
Uiharu: She went to fight off the students rampaging the city.
Sonic: She is, huh? She's been getting hurt lately. I should go help her.
Uiharu: Please do.
Sonic: Alright then. See ya!
Sonic runs out.
Uiharu: Saten...

With Kuroko:
Kuroko gets kicked as she was on the floor.
Man: What do you think of my power?
Sonic: It stinks!
Man: Huh?
Kuroko: Huh?
Sonic jumps in and kicks the man into the wall as he was knocked out.
Kuroko: Sonic?
Sonic: Hey, you alright?
Kuroko: I-I'm fine.
Sonic picks up Kuroko.
Sonic: I'm guessing you're fighting off people with Level Upper, huh?
Kuroko: Yeah. There's so much of them.
Sonic: Then let's do it together.
Kuroko: Together? But-
Sonic: Just like the other time. Come on, let me help?
Kuroko: Fine. Let's go.

Few minutes later:
Sonic and Kuroko both fights each Level Upper again and again, until there was no more.
Sonic: Phew. Well, that's all of them.
Kuroko: Yeah. Oww!
Sonic: Whoa! Kuroko! You okay?
Kuroko: I'm fine.
Sonic: Come on, let's take you home.
Sonic carries Kuroko princess style as she was blushing.
Kuroko: Huh?! What?!
Sonic runs off to the dorm as he puts her down.
Sonic: There you go.
Kuroko: T-Thanks.
Sonic: Hehe, no problem.
Kuroko: Hmm? Where you going?
Sonic: Getting some food for you and Misaka. I'll be back.
Kuroko: You know, Sonic...
Sonic: Hmm?

Kuroko walks into the dorm.

The next day in the Judgement Office:
Uiharu was bandaging up Kuroko.

Uiharu: Well...
Kuroko: According to Kiyama, there's a special apparatus for inputting large amounts of digital information to the brain in a short period called Testament.
Sonic: Testament?
Kuroko: Yeah, but it does so by acting on all five senses. Sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.
Misaka: Level Upper is music software, so it only acts on hearing...
Uiharu: When we searched comatose user's rooms, nothing was found besides the music.
Misaka: This is only a guess, but is there a possibility that the music itself could be an effect on the other senses?
Sonic: Hmm?
Kuroko: What do you mean?
Misaka: Do you remember that conversation we had while we were eating shaved ice?
Kuroko: Erm...
Sonic: Uh...
Kuroko: Comparing flavors?
Misaka: Not that part...
Sonic, Misaka, Kuroko: Synesthesia!
Uiharu: What?
Kuroko: Synesthesia! It's a phenomenon where multiple senses are evoked using a single stimulus.
Misaka: By acting on one sense in a certain way, other senses can also be stimulated.
Uiharu: So you think that the music works by acting on all five senses to get the same effect as Testament?

Uiharu: Could I ask you to investigate further into that?
Kiyama: Yes, I expect we'll be granted permission to use Tree Diagram.
Uiharu: Tree Diagram?! With Academy City's fastest supercomputer, we'll have results in no time!
Kiyama: I'll inform you once we have some results.

Uiharu ends the call as she runs to the door.

Sonic: Alright! Be careful!

With Saten and the others
Akemi was lifting one of the cleaning robots with her hands.
Akemi: What do you think? I can already do this four or five days of practice!
Mu: Well, look at me!
Mako: Everyone is amazing!
Saten: (Maybe I should just tell Uiharu... But I wonder if she'll get mad...)
Saten hears a sound as Akemi collapses on the floor.

Mu: Akemi!

With Uiharu:
Uiharu gets a call from Saten.

In the hospital:
Misaka: Saten also used Level Upper...
Kuroko: Yes... Uiharu said she'd have the data analyzed so she could save her, and rushed off to see Kiyama...
Misaka: I see.
Sonic: Well, at least she's gonna be fine. Hmm?
Sonic notices Misaka's face was down.
Sonic: Misaka?
Misaka: Hey, you two got a sec?

In the rooftop:
Kuroko: What did you (want to talk about?
Misaka: Saten... She carried a good luck charm, right?
Sonic: Yeah, she does.
Kuroko: It's always attached to her bag...
Misaka: You know, her mother gave that to her, before she came to Academy City.
Kuroko: She told you that?
Sonic: She said that to us two.
Misaka: She probably had a lot she wanted to talk about. Even so, I... even with my Level 5 powers... I couldn't do anything for her at all.

Sonic: Misaka...
Misaka: For me, whenever I've run into hurdles in life, I've always stopped at nothing to overcome them. My Level 5 rank is a result of that. I've really never thought of it as anything special. Gekota: If brainwaves were forcibly altered, it would strongly influence the body, right?
Sonic: Huh? Oh, this is confusing.
Misaka: So you're saying Level Upper is forcibly tampering with their brainwaves and rendering then unconscious?
Sonic: Wait, that must've what happened with Saten. When she used the Level Upper, she got unconscious.

Gekota: I'm a doctor. Finding that out is your job, right?

In Kiyama's place:
Kiyama: I see. That girl from before has...
Uiharu: It's my fault.
Kiyama: You shouldn't blame yourself. Take a break for it. I'll go make coffee-
Uiharu: I don't have time to relax like that...
Kiyama: We don't have the results from the analysis yet, but if you're broken when your friend wakes up, it'll all be in vain, right? It's okay. It'll all turn out well in the end.
Kiyama walks out. Uiharu notices a paper sticking out of the drawer.

Misaka: If the brainwave pattern is that of a specific person...

Konori: I see... If that's the case, we'll probably be granted databank access.
Misaka: And what if it's not in there?
Kuroko: Don't worry. Not only student esper development records, but also the data from adults who've visited the hospital or worked there is included too.
Sonic: (All this technology is giving me a headache)
Misaka: But why would using the Level Upper cause their brainwaves to become identical.
Kuroko: Not to mention, raise their esper level too... I really don't understand it.
Konori: For computers, just using software isn't going to give you any great performances gains. It'd be a different story if you were to network them together though.
Kuroko: When you network them, their performance increases?
Konori: Not on one particular computer, but using lot of computers together in parallel increases overall computational performance.
Misaka: I see... So someone could have made a brain network using Level Upper?
Konori: It's a possibility.
Sonic: But how do you do that?
Konori: The only thing I can think of would be AIM diffusion fields. Espers are always subconsciously emitting power. If you linked all that together...
Misaka: But that's done subconsciously. Our brains are like separate OS's in computer terms, so you can't really link them together, right?
Konori: The OS's in a computer network are also separate and even the languages they use are different. But the reason we can make a network is because there's common protocols, right?
Kuroko: You're saying a specific person's brainwave pattern plays the role of a network protocol?
Konori: This is just a possibility.
Misaka: But if you could link up brains like that, you'd have a massive amount of computational power.
Konori: Even given an individual with weak power, if they joined such a network, their overall processing power would go up.
Misaka: On top of that, espers with the same abilities would link up their cognitive patterns, and could use that power more efficiently.
Konori: Most likely, the brain activity of all the comatose victims is being utilized in the network. Found it. A match for that brainwave pattern. 99%!

In Kiyama's place:
Uiharu was looking at the papers and the books by the drawer.
Uiharu: This too... And this... Synesthesia theses... Why.
Kiyama opens the door as she sees Uiharu looking at her books.
Kiyama: That's no good.
Uiharu: Huh?
Kiyama: You shouldn't look through people's research without permission. Dr?
Eggman: Get her!
The robots goes and handcuffs Uiharu.
Uiharu: Wha!
Kiyama: You know what to do.
Eggman: Yes, mam.
Eggman walks off.

In the Judgement Office:
Kuroko: Th-That's...
Misaka: Registered name...
Sonic: Kiyama?!
Sonic, Misaka, Kuroko: Uiharu!
Konori: What about her?
Misaka: She said she was going to see Kiyama not long ago.
Konori: What?!
Sonic: If she's there then, Eggman's there too!
Kuroko tried to call Uiharu, but she didn't pick up.
Kuroko: I can't get through!
Konori: Contact Antiskill! Request the capture of Kiyama and that other guy, but warn them they may have a hostage!
Kuroko: Got it!
Sonic: (Uiharu...)

In Kiyama's car:
Kiyama: By the way, I've been wondering for a while, but what's with those flowers on your head? Are they related to your powers?
