In Uiharu's school:
Uiharu gets sent to the office with Daigo.

Daigo: I know you have noticed that there's a lot of earthquakes happening recently, including yesterday. How was it at your dorm?

Uiharu: It was fine, we didn't feel anything.

Daigo: That's strange, even though you're also in the 7th district

Uiharu: So what did you call me for, Daigo-sensei?

Daigo: Ah, that's right. Come in please.

A girl walks into the office with a student uniform.

Daigo: She's a 2nd year transfer student, and also your roommate from now on.

Uiharu: Huh?

Daigo: I'm sorry for the sudden change, but I'd like you to help her out as a member of Judgement.

Uiharu then smiles.

Haruue: I'm Haruue Eri.

In Academy City:
Sonic and the others were walking as the heard about the transfer student Uiharu had.

Misaka: A transfer student from the 19th district? Isn't it rare to have a transfer at this time of year?

Kuroko: You'd think they would try to move at the beginning of a term.

Sonic: Not that it matters. We're getting to see who the new student looks like.

Saten walks ahead happily.

Kuroko: Saten, you seem particularly happy.

Saten: Of course I am! If she's Uiharu's roommate, that makes her a candidate to be a friend!

Uiharu: Saten!

They look ahead seeing Uiharu waving as Haruue was there also. They walk to the 7th district and goes to Uiharu's apartment.

Uiharu: This is Haruue Eri. Haruue, this is Shirai Kuroko and her senior Mikoto Misaka from Tokiwadai Middle School. This is Sonic, he's a hedgehog, and Saten Ruiko, who's in the same class as us.

Sonic: Hey there.

Saten: Nice to meet you. That's all well and good, but what's with all this.

Boxes were stacked by the front door.

Uiharu: Umm... Well, it seems that while I was picking up Haruue from the station, the moving service called to say everything has arrived...

Sonic: Wow, that's a lot of boxes.

Misaka: Shouldn't they be more considerate about this kind of stuff?

Sonic: I doubt they are.

Saten: Anyway, we need to do something about it...

Kuroko: I suppose it can't be helped.

Kuroko touches the boxes as it teleports into the room.

Saten: I didn't think of that!

Sonic: That was fast.

They go inside the room.

Haruue: That's amazing. I've never seen a teleported before.

Kuroko: That's not surprising. It's hard to find teleporters at my level in Academy City.

Haruue: Ahh... And I've never seen a walking, talking hedgehog before either.

Sonic: Hehe...

Haruue: Can I touch your hair?

Sonic: Hmm? Sure, why not.

Sonic turns around as Haruue rubs his hair.

Haruue: Wow... It's rough, but soft at the same time.

Misaka: Alright, let's hurry and tidy this up.

Sonic: Oh, I got this! This'll be over in a Sonic second!

Sonic quickly opens every box and places each of them quickly as Haruue was surprised.

Haruue: Wow, you're fast, too.

Sonic: Hehe, that's my specialty.

Misaka: Now that that's done, why don't we go out somewhere?

Sonic: Sounds great.

Uiharu: I approve!

Kuroko: Don't say that... Have you forgotten? We have a coalition meeting to go to.

Uiharu: Ugh...!

Sonic: Hmm?

Saten: Coalition?

Kuroko: Judgement and Antiskill. Apparently they want to talk about the recent earthquakes.

Misaka: A meeting about earthquakes?

Uiharu: I forgot about that.

Saten: Then she can come with us three then!

Uiharu: That's unfair!

Saten: You can just meet up with us when you're done, right?

Haruue: Huh?

Uiharu: Don't worry! Saten aside, Misaka and Sonic are kind people. I'll join you as soon as the meeting ends.

Haruue looks at the three as they smile towards her. She began to smile as well.

As the two of them go off to Judgement, the others walk around with Haruue.

Misaka: Now then, where should we go? Is there anywhere you'd like to see?

Haruue: I still don't know this school district very well, so...

Misaka: Oh, right.

Sonic: Don't worry, we'll show you around.

Saten: Then it's gotta be that one!

They go into the crepes rablm and gets crepes.

Sonic: Mmmm...! So goood!

Saten: When you're getting to know people, you gotta come here!

Misaka: Oh yeah, we came here when we first met you too.

Haruue keeps eating her crepe as she gets some cream on her face.

Saten: Is it good?

Haruue: Yes!

Sonic: I know right?

Misaka: Though... Kuroko and Uiharu sure have it tough. I wonder why Judgement and Antiskill have to hold a coalition meeting over some earthquakes.

Sonic: I mean, since recently, the earthquakes been getting worse. Ehh, but who knows...

Saten: Actually, I picked up a hot rumor about that earlier. Apparently these things happening aren't earthquakes, they're Poltergeist!

Sonic: Hmm?

Misaka: Poltergeist?

Saten: Yes, a Poltergeist!

Misaka: That thing where furniture moves about on its own-

Saten: Apparently they can't detect primary waves or secondary waves from them! This is a supernatural phenomenon! The cause of this is called the RSPK!

Sonic: RSPK? Okay, now I'm confused with this science stuff...

Saten: It's where an esper loses control over themselves, causing a subconscious and uncontrollable outburst of power.

Sonic: That's no good.

Misaka: It kinda sounds like a Level Upper.

Saten: The cause is waves from another dimension, a special type of plasma!

Three of them were bored of Saten's blabbering as Haruue finishes her crepe. Both Sonic and Misaka gives her their crepes as she was happy.

Saten: They say there's going to be a huge one soon!

Sonic: Aren't you getting a little too excited about these so called Poltergeists?

Saten: Well, it's been trending since. Oh yeah, Haruue, district 19 had multiple Poltergeist occurrences, right? What was it like?

Haruue: Umm...

Misaka: Come on, you shouldn't make a fuss over that sort of thing for fun. It would be bad if it actually happened.

Saten: Ehehe, sorry...

Antiskill School District:
Kuroko, Uiharu, and Konori were outside after the meeting.

Uiharu: That finished quicker than I expected.

Kuroko: Apparently Antiskill have another meeting after this. Hmm, is something wrong, Konori?

Konori: I've never heard of a simultaneous outbreak of RSPK Syndrome... And the way it's being dealt with... Something doesn't seem right

Kuroko: That's what the specialists are busy investigating, right? There's no point in us thinking to hard about it.

Uiharu calls Saten as she picks up the phone.

Uiharu: Saten! Where are you now?

At the Arcade:
Sonic and the others meet up at the arcade to play some games.

Uiharu: What shall we play next Haruue? Ah, how about that one?

Uiharu runs off with Haruue.

Saten: Uiharu's getting a little too excited.

Kuroko: Sissy too...

They see Misaka with a ton of coins in the cup.

Misaka: Well...

Saten: I'm sure I've seen those coins before...

Sonic: Yeah, same here. They look like the ones Misaka uses.

Misaka: Ehh?!

Sonic: Ooo, a racing one!

Sonic runs off as well.

Kuroko: There goes him.

Haruue plays whack-a-mole with Uiharu as the others join in.

Misaka: Whack-a-mole?

Uiharu: Well it is...

Kuroko: How nostalgic!

Haruue: This is the first time I've done this kind of thing.

Haruue looks at the moles popping up from the holes as she stares at them.

Haruue: The way they pop out is so cute.

The other girls were surprised.

Saten: I-I see. But why not try hitting them instead of just looking?

Haruue: Hit them? The poor things...

The girls were surprised again.

Saten: R-Right!

Uiharu: Yeah! Everyone has their own way of enjoying things!

The game ends.

Haruue: Once more.

Uiharu: Don't you think a 4th time would be overdoing it a bit?

Misaka: Hey, why don't we all take a picture in that?

Haruue: That?

Saten: Alright then! But where's Sonic?

Uiharu: Oh, he's right there.

They see Sonic playing as he finishes first place.

Sonic: Alright! Haha! Take that!

Everyone looks at him confusing of what he's doing as he turns around.

Sonic: Oh, hey guys, wassup?

They go into the photo room as they take a couple of photos.

They all rest down my the vending machine as Uiharu sends the photos to Haruue.

Uiharu: That should do it. Here.

Haruue was happy looking at the photo.

Kuroko: How should I put it... She's an odd one.

Misaka: Really? I think she's cute.

Sonic: She's a good friend for Uiharu.

Saten: She reminds me of how Uiharu used to be.

Misaka: Used to be?

Saten: When we'd just joined the school- huh?

Sonic: Hmm?

Uiharu: Haruue?

They look as Haruue then starts walking towards the glass.

Uiharu: Watch out!

Haruue hits the glass as she gets knocked back.

Sonic: Uhh...

Uiharu: Are you alright?

Saten: What happened?

Haruue: That.

She points at a poster of a firework.

Uiharu: That's...

Saten: The firework display poster? Oh yeah, isn't that today?

Misaka: Hey, why don't we all go?

Kuroko: That's a great idea! We can all wear yakuta!

Sonic: Sure, why not.

Uiharu: Shall we go?

Haruue: Yeah!

Hours later in Tokiwadai:
The head resident enters Misaka's dorm as she sees Misaka and Kuroko working. Sonic was under the bed not to be noticed. She closes the door afterwards.

Misaka: Is she gone?

Sonic: I think so.

Kuroko: Let us go-

The resident comes back as the two quickly go back to work while Sonic was still under the bed. After a few seconds she closes the door.

Misaka: *Sighs* That was close.

Sonic: Tell me about it.

Kuroko: We are safe for sure this time, right?

Minutes later:
Kuroko uses teleportation to take them outside.

Misaka: Escape successful!

Sonic: Yep!

Kuroko: Yes it is!

Misaka: For heaven's sake, our dorm is a drag. They don't even change the curfew for a fireworks show.

Kuroko: Sissy, if you keep moving like that, your yukata will come undone.

Kuroko: I cannot believe even under a yukata, you still wear those shorts.

Sonic: Not that it matters.

Misaka: Yeah. No one is gonna see.

Kuroko: paying attention to the unseen is essential for a young lady.

Misaka: Come to think of it, isn't Miss Konori coming tonight?

Kuroko: She said she was investigating these poltergeisting incidents. Something has been nagging at her ever since the conference ended.

Misaka: Hmm... Still, you have to admit, it's really weird.

Sonic: Crazy weird. The question is where are these poltergeist things coming from? The ground? Machines? A person?

Kuroko: I don't think the third option would make sense.

At the fireworks:
Uiharu and the others were there also as they see the other three walking.

Saten: Wow! Misaka, you look fantastic!

Uiharu: Shirai, you look cute, too!

Kuroko: Of course we do.

Misaka: Uiharu, you guys look cute, too.

Sonic: Yeah, liking the yukatas. You guys look great.

Saten: *Blushing* Oh, stop it.

Uiharu: Hehe, thank you.

Haruue: Th-Thank you.

Saten: Ah! Night stands!

Misaka: You're right! There are a lot of them, huh?

Saten: Mm, it smells good! I can't wait!

Saten runs first.

Misaka: Me either!

Kuroko: Sissy! You shouldn't run like that! Sheesh!

They all left.

Sonic: Haha!

Uiharu: Haruue, Sonic, let's go too!

Haruue: Mmhmm!

Sonic: Yeah!

Moments later:
Misaka puts on a Gekota mask on.

Kuroko: For goodness sake, Sissy...

Misaka: What's the big deal? It's a festival, after all. I'm just getting the swing of it.

Kuroko: Honestly....

Sonic: I think it looks fine on her.

Misaka blushes a bit.

Misaka: Y-Yeah, you see! Sonic gets it.

Kuroko: He clearly doesn't...

Uiharu: Hehe.

Saten looks to her left to see a few trucks.

Saten: What're those trucks?

Kuroko: MAR. They're trailers for the Multi Active Rescue Squad.

Uiharu: They must be the countermeasures for that Poltergeist issue.

Saten: Poltergeist? So that rumor is true?

Sonic: But here? There's no way.

Uiharu: If a Poltergeist incident occurred in a place as crowded as this, it'd be big trouble.

Kuroko: Even so, having that kind of defense at a fireworks festival... What an eyesore.

Saten: In that case, I know a great place!

They go to the edge where they watch the fireworks.

Everyone: Whooa!

Saten: Not many people know about this spot.

Sonic: No kidding! This is the best view!

Kuroko: There's another one!

As another one fires up, Haruue jumps a little.

Uiharu: You can feel the boom resound inside you right?

Haruue: Yeah. I can feel the boom... It's pretty.

Judgement Brand Office:
Konori still looks into her laptop finding out information about the Poltergeist.

Konori: Maybe I should have gone after all. Something bothering me, but there's no point investigating any further.

She further searches in as she found something relevant.

Konori: Hmm? AIM diffusion fields?

At the fireworks:
As they continue watching, Haruue stares both at Uiharu and Saten.

Uiharu: Hmm? What's wrong?

Haruue: I just remembered.

Saten: What?

Haruue: You know... A long time ago, just like you two... ugh...

Suddenly her expression changes to depression.

Uiharu: Haruue-san?

Saten: What's the matter?

Haruue then walks away upstairs.

Saten: What happened?

The two then follows her as Sonic sees them also.

Sonic: Hmm?

Misaka: Where are they going?

Sonic: Who knows...

Kuroko then hangs onto Misaka's arm.

Kuroko: They must have been considerate and left so we could be alone together! Let us burn in hot passion like those fireworks!

Misaka: It's hot! Get off me!

Sonic: I'm still here you know! (Hmm? They went a bit far, I wonder what's up...)

Kuroko's phone starts to ring.

Kuroko: Who is it? Hmm? What is it, Konori-senpai?

Konori: Listen! It's about the Poltergeist!

Sonic: The Poltergeist?

Kuroko: I'm happy you found something, but how about taking a break? The fireworks are really pretty.

Konori: Just listen to me! There's a chance that the cause of the simultaneous outbreaks of RSPK syndrome is a deliberate interference to Esper's AIM diffusion fields!

Sonic: Huh?

Kuroko: AIM diffusion fields?

Misaka: Hmm?

Konori: In other words, the series of recent Poltergeist incidents are not chance accidents!

Sonic: Wait, what?!

Kuroko: You're saying someone's causing them deliberately?

Sonic remembers what he said before.

Flashback:
Sonic: Crazy weird. The question is where are these poltergeist things coming from? The ground? Machines? A person?

End of flashback:
Sonic: I knew it! If someone's doing them... oh no, they're in danger!

Sonic immediately runs ahead.

Misaka: S-Sonic, wait!

Immediately the earthquake starts to happen as the phone call ends.

Konori: Shirai-san? Hey, Shirai-san!

The ground starts to breakdown.

Misaka: This is...

Kuroko: No way... a Poltergeist?

The ground breaks as Misaka trips and falls.

Misaka: Wahhh!

Kuroko: Sissy!

Kuroko quickly grabs her hand and uses her teleportation to get away from the ground.

Misaka: What about Saten-san and the others?

Saten was on the floor as Uiharu holds onto Haruue on the floor.

Saten: Uiharu!

The light pole then turns off as it falls over to Uiharu for impact.

Saten: Uiharu!!

Uiharu: Ahhh...!

Sonic: Haaaaa!!

In a blink of an eye, Sonic rushes in on time and holds the pole up.

Saten's eyes were in shocked as Misaka and Kuroko arrives.

Misaka: Saten-san, are you okay?

They look to see Sonic holding the pole as Uiharu opens her eyes.

Misaka: Phew... Thank goodness Sonic was there in time.

Uiharu: Whaa?

Sonic: Hehe, you two okay?

Uiharu: Sonic!

Sonic's hands can't hold the pole for much longer as he struggles.

Sonic: Ugh... can't hold it for much...

Before long, a big robot arrives and holds the pole for Sonic.

Girl: That was pretty close. Are you hurt anywhere? It's alright now.

Kuroko: She's...

Sonic: Thank's for the help there. Would've been squished if u haven't shown up.

Girl: Well good thing I did.

Uiharu: Haruue-san! Haruue-san!

Haruue then gets back up.

Uiharu: Haruue-san, are you okay?

Saten: Don't push yourself.

Haruue: Where... Where are you?

She questions it again as she holds her pendant.

Uiharu: Haruue-san?

Sonic: (This doesn't make sense... how would someone do this...?)

All the other people were watching from below seeing smoke above.

Guy: What's going on?

Girl: Was there an accident.

Sonic: (This just keeps getting weirder and weirder...)
