Sonic locked the door of his bedroom and looked at Y/N with a serious look.

You got nervous and took a step back as he grabbed your hands gently.

"Y/N, what's wrong? Why are you acting like this?"

"I should be asking you the same thing. You're not yourself Sonic."

"What are you talking about?"

"That perfume...it's changing you."

Sonic raised an eyebrow.

"Every time I spray it on, you show up very quickly and act differently."

"So...you're saying that I only love you because of some perfume?"

"Well..."

Sonic let go of her hands and felt hurt.

"How could you say something like that?"

"What?"

"I don't care about some silly perfume. I care about you and only you. I just thought you were trying to get my attention since you kept using it. Now it explains so much."

"Sonic I..."

"I'm afraid of losing you Y/N. So sorry if I was to much for you to handle."

"That's not it at all!"

"Then what is it then?"

Y/N kept quiet, not knowing what to do or say.

"You mean everything to me and I do everything for you but now I can see in your eyes that you have doubts about us so you were trying to blame it on this dumb perfume of yours..."

"Sonic! No! That's not true!"

"Then why!? Why go blaming this all on me!?"

"Because you're never like this Sonic! You never kiss me in class, you never act like a jerk to others and you definitely don't go attacking everyone that is near me!"

Sonic glared at you.

"So this is all my fault huh? It's my fault that I love you so much."

"This isn't you Sonic and you know it!"

"Maybe I do and you just don't know me..."

"I just don't want you to do something you'll regret."

"You know what I regret? Admitting my feelings for you. I'm apparently to much for it that I can't share it how I want it."

"Sonic. You're being...."

"What? Ridiculous? Crazy? Insane? Well maybe I am but you know what? We're done."

Y/N was shocked and heartbroken.

"W-What?"

"You heard me. I'm done with this. I'm done with you. I don't want to make you afraid of my affection for you so you should just go."

"Sonic...please...."

"Go!"

You broke into tears as you unlocked his room and left, running past Sonia in tears.

"Y/N!?"

Manic was eating a snack when he noticed Y/N running off crying.

"Y/N!? Wait! What's wrong!?"

"Just leave me alone!" Y/N slammed the front door shut as he flinched a bit.

He stood there shocked and then looked back at the stairs, getting up to see what happened.

"What did you do!?" Sonia yelled as Manic came upstairs.

"I did nothing. We're just done."

"What is going on with you Sonic?" Manic asked.

"Oh! So you're in this too!?"

"What?"

"Everyone is blaming my actions on a stupid little air freshener and thinks something's wrong with me!"

"Air freshener?"

"He meant the perfume Y/N got."

"Yeah. Apparently, she's been blaming it's 'effects' out on me because I'm changing the way I act towards her."

"She's just concerned Sonic. You were acting different every time she had it on."

"So what!? I loved the smell! What's the big deal!?"

"Dude calm down." Manic said, waving his hands lowly.

"No! This is ridiculous! I did nothing wrong and you're all going insane by all this!"

"You want to know why Sonic!? Here's what I found on her bottle!" Sonia held out the perfume as he snatched it from her hand and looked at it with a glare.

Sonic looked at Sonia as she continued.

"She told me that she wanted to try something different and got this for free by a random worker. She said nothing about using this on you. She didn't know about this because apparently, this bottle must have some soft of spell effect on you."

"That might explain the color changing eyes." Manic said.

Sonia looked at Manic shocked.

"What!?"

"You didn't notice?"

*Flashback*

"That smell...it's her...."

His eyes flashed purple as Sonic saw Y/N enter the classroom, heading towards the desk.

"Are you ok?"

"She smells so sweet."

"Candy Scent. That explains it."

*Flashback 2*

"Guy can't except the fact that I got myself the most beautiful girl here." His eyes flashed again.

"No one wants to see you guys making out all the time, especially since it's in class where everyone is stuck at for almost an hour."

"Can we talk about something else please!?" Y/N asked.

"Sure babe." He pecked your cheek as his eyes flashed again.

*Flashback 3*

"Hey bro? Sonia is going shopping and wants to know if you want any..."

He lifted his head and widened his eyes as he saw Sonic lifting his head from Y/N, looking at Manic with a glare as his eyes flashed a bit brighter.

"Oh...I'm so sorry....I...."

"Manic! It's not what it looks...."

"Get out!"

Manic ran quickly as he was being chased by Sonic.

Sonia was making a shopping list when she heard Manic screaming,

"I'm sorry! I didn't know!"

"That's why you knock!" Manic and Sonic ran past her as she looked confused. Sonic's eyes flashed again as he chased him outside.

*Flashback 4*

Sonic looked at Y/N and Shadow talking as he growled a bit.

"Hey bro? Are you ok?"

"I'm fine..." His eyes flashed as he asked,

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! I'm..." He turned around and growled as he went towards Shadow.

"Stay away from my girlfriend! She's mine!"

"Sonic! What are you doing!?"

"He's trying to hit on you!"

"No he's not! I was just giving him, his birthday present and he was giving me a hug as a thank you!"

"I...I'm sorry." He ran off as his eyes flashed.

Manic and Sonia looked at each other, worriedly.

*Flashback ended*

"Why didn't you say anything!?" Sonia asked.

"I thought you knew! Also because I thought it was some new contacts he just wanted to try on or something."

Sonic went to his mirror and looked at himself. When he saw his reflection, his eyes flashed purple repeatedly until they turned back to green permanently.

He groaned in pain as he held his head. Manic and Sonia looked at him as he asked,

"What happened?" He asked weakly.

When they told him what happened, he widened his eyes and then looked back at the bottle. He stayed quiet for awhile until he said,

"Oh my God....I remember everything...."

He looked at his hands, shaking in fear and sadness.

"What have I done?...."

"No one knew this would happen Sonic. It's not your fault."

"But I just yelled at Y/N and broke up with her. I have to fix this." Before he could leave, Sonia stopped him.

"You've done enough for one day. Give her some space for a few days first."

"But..."

"Do you really think she'll talk to you right after what just happened?"

Sonic sighed and said,

"No..."

"I'll let her know what happened and when everything has calmed down, you can go talk this out."

Sonic lowered his ears.

"Ok..."

Manic rubbed his back slowly.

"I'm sorry bro."

They both gave him a hug as he hugged back in tears.
