The next day, you woke up in an unfamiliar room. It was dark and cold. You sat up and rubbed your eyes.

"Sonic?"

"About time you woke up. I was getting impatient." You turned your head and saw a dark figure in the corner. Once he was in the light, you widened your eyes.

"Names Shadow. You won't be leaving anytime soon because we need to talk.

"What are you talking about?"

"You're not from around here correct?"  Shadow asked.

You nodded slowly.

"You are in great danger kid. If you were brought into this world, then someone could be looking for you and take you for granted."

"Who?"

"I don't know yet. But I suggest you stick with me if you know what's good for you. Sonic doesn't understand yet and he might become your weakness at some point." Suddenly they heard Sonic's voice.

"Let her go Shadow!" They both turned their heads and saw Sonic rush in and punch Shadow. Sonic told you to run while he took care of Shadow. You didn't know what to do so you quickly ran off as Sonic and Shadow began to fight.

"What do you want with her Shadow!?"

"None of your business! I was trying to help her!"

"Oh yeah like that worked out just great when you first met." Shadow growled and they both continued to fight.

Later when Sonic finally came home, He went to talk to you.

"How did you know where I was?"

"I came to check on you last night but I saw Shadow take you so I followed him and rescued you. What did he want from you?"

"I don't know really. He said something about protecting me from something."

"Hmm... I'll have to go check on Tails with that. I'm sorry about that. I don't know what's up with Shadow but he can be very complicated. I'll be right back  though ok?" Sonic left the room. Suddenly, you heard Tikal's voice again.

"Hello Y/N."

"Tikal? Can you help me please? Do you know why Shadow needed me?"

"All I can say for now is that you need to be prepared for anything. You'll one day understand why."

"Do you know what's coming?"

"That will be something for you to find out."

"But are you sure that you don't know where the Emeralds are?"

"I wish I did but I believe you will find them."

"I wish you can help me."

"I'll do what I can but for now, let's see how you go."

"Ok. Bye Tikal." She waved and left. Once she was gone, Sonic came in, looking at you confused.

"You ok?"

"I'm fine. Why?"

"I heard you talking to someone."

"I was just talking to myself. "Alright then." He said with a smile.

Sorry it's not the best. I wanted to try to keep the adventure going and I didn't want to give out to much clues. The best I can at least.
