After dinner, you all decided to head in for the night since you were all exhausted from the ongoing adventure.

Vanilla gave everyone sleeping bags, pillows and blankets and wished you all goodnight as she took Cream and Cheese to bed.

You all decided to stay up for awhile to watch a movie until one by one, you all started to fall asleep.

In the middle of the night, you felt a small chill in the room and noticed that the front door was cracked open.

You sat up and noticed that Sonic wasn't here so he must of went outside.

You carefully and quietly sneaked past the others as you made it towards the door and peaked outside.

You saw Sonic staring at the sky in silence, wondering what he was thinking about.

You slowly walked outside and sat by him.

Surprisedly, he didn't get startled by your presence. He just smiled softly and said,

"Hey Y/N. Why are you up?"

"You left the door cracked open, leaving the cold air in."

"Oh my bad..."

"It's alright. What are you doing out here?"

"Just looking at the stars. I couldn't sleep."

He looked back at the stars for a bit as you continued to talk to him.

"What made you so afraid of Water?"

Sonic stayed silent as he looked away.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't really want to."

Sonic sighs deeply as he thought about it.

"I apologize that you had to see me like that. It was pretty pathetic of me..."

"What? No! No it's not! Why would you think that?"

"Because for a hero like me..."

Sonic looked at you slowly.

"I can't swim..."

You went silent for a moment until you responded,

"Is that all? There's no need to be embarrassed. People have many different kinds of fears."

"I just can't help it. No matter what I do...I'm just worried that something might happen..."

"I'm sorry Sonic. It must be hard to deal with."

"It is..."

You decided to change the subject.

"It sure has been one crazy week huh?"

Sonic chuckles.

"Yeah. It's been a wild ride."

"Does things like this happen all the time?"

"Pretty much but I still enjoy the action and helping others."

"Must be exhausting."

"Sometimes but I'm used to it."

You both continued to chat for a bit while laughing and having a great time together.

"I'm kinda glad I got mixed up in this situation."

Sonic looked at you.

"What do you mean?"

"Well if I didn't, I wouldn't have met you or your friends and having this crazy adventure."

"Heh. That's true. I don't mind hanging out with you more. You're pretty cool yourself."

"Thanks Sonic."

You both looked at each other with a soft smile and then looked back at the stars.

You suddenly felt his hand on top of yours as you looked down and then back at him.

He smiled again as you smile back, barely noticing that you were both slowly leaning in towards each other.

When you both slowly closed your eyes, Sonic quickly opened them and quickly backed away, getting nervous.

"I...um...I think we should head inside. It's a little chilly out."

You opened your eyes, blushing like crazy as you tried to hide it from him.

"Y-Yeah. Let's go get some sleep."

Sonic helped you up and walked inside with you while shutting the doors behind him.

You went back to your sleeping bag as Sonic did as well.

"Goodnight Sonic."

"Goodnight Y/N."

You smiled with a small blush as you closed your eyes for the night.

In the middle of the night while you were all sleeping, a pair of red eyes were watching you for a seconds until climbing inside the house.

When the moonlight shines over him, it revealed to be Shadow.

He easily walked past the others without making a sound and came towards you.

He slowly and carefully took a piece of your (quill, feather, scale, ect.) and held up the green Emerald, which was stolen earlier.

Then he walked back towards the same window and climbed out.

Once he was back outside, he took your DNA and held it close to the Emerald.

When the Emerald touched the DNA, it glowed brightly as the DNA started glowing brightly as well.

After a few seconds, Shadow saw a difference from the effect.

"Impossible...This is bigger than I imagine..."

He looked back at the house and gives a soft glare.

"Hmm..."
