(Sonic)

The cops will soon discover that Eggman and I got out of jail, and that could make them think that I have allied with Eggman. I know that this could be a insanity, but the world is in grave danger right now, and I need Eggman to resolve this situation. I really don't like to work with Eggman, but I have no choice.

We were lurking in the sewers, looking for an exit that would take us to Station square, then we have to find Knuckles so that he can take us to the Master Emerald in order to track down the unknown emerald that Dr. Ladimir is searching right now.
I didn't liked the idea of using the sewers to escape, but it was the only way to get out of jail without been noticed. Suddenly, we heard an alarm, and that means that the cops discovered our escape; they will be all over Station square looking for us, and probably get me inside a cage with Eggman.

"You heard that?" I said very scared.

"Yes, they probably are going to look for us at every corner of Station square, we must hurry up" he replied.

"Hey Eggman, knowing that we are going to fight this new enemy together, I was wondering, How you're going to defend yourself if anything attack us? Don't you need some equipment or something?"

"Oh, I didn't thought about that; all my equipment are in my lair, including my Eggmobile."

"Then we'll first go to that place so that you can get anything you need, after we find Knuckles of course."

We managed to find an exit; we weren't in Station square, but we were very close. We then entered the city and started looking for Knuckles while avoiding the cops. We notices that they were almost everywhere, so we had to do anything possible to not get caught. We were moving and hiding almost at the same time, behind walls, cars and shamefully got into trash can, and right after walking through a stinky sewer.

On the way we managed to see Tails, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Silver, Blaze and cream, but no signs of Knuckles. We keep searching with caution, and we finally found him helping hungry people. I caught his attention whistling, and he came to me.

"Hey Sonic" Knuckles said while greeting. "Have you found what you were looking for?"

" Err, yes, yes I do"

By that moment, Knuckles saw Eggman and got a little angry. Knuckles always react like this every time he sees Eggman and he's only thinking of punching his face. I don't blame him, Eggman had gave Knuckles some headaches too.

"S-Sonic", Knuckles said with a angry face. "What's this guy doing here!? He's suppose to be in jail!"

"Shhhh, be quiet Knuckles, your going to get the cops attention."

"Well, that's obviously a good idea, that's where he belongs"

"I'm starting to doubt that this idiot would be useful for us" Eggman said.

"Did you just call me idiot? THAT'S IT! YOUR DEAD!"

Knuckles tried to attack Eggman, but I'd stopped him before he could even touch him. He really gets angry very easily, not to mention that he's having a gloomy face all the time.

"Knuckles, please calm down," I said while stopping him. He then decides to hear me and he calmed down.

"Sonic, would you explain why he's here, with you?

"I took him out of prison"

"Wait, you did what?"

"I know, is crazy, but I had no other choice"

"What do you mean with that?", Knuckles asked with confusion.

" It's simple Echidna, I have met the guy that attacked the city a long time ago, and I'm the only one who knows everything about his plans for world domination, or destruction to be correct"

"It's that so?" Knuckles said while rising his left eyebrow. "And what will you do to stop him?"

"Well, part of our plan includes you Knuckles" I replied. "There's a existence of another emerald hidden somewhere, and we know that Dr. Ladimir is using the 7 Chaos emeralds as a guide to get it."

"Wait, another Emerald you just said?" Knuckles said impressed.

"That's right" Eggman replied. "And even that we don't know what it exactly does, we know that it's very powerful; and if we don't hurry and find that emerald before he does, well, who knows what could happen to this world."

" oookaayyy" Knuckles said while rising an eyebrow again. "But what can I do to help?"

"Well, I assume that you're still guarding the Master emerald, right?" I said.

" Ooooh, I understand now, you want me to use the Master emerald to track down that unknown emerald, right?"

Eggman and I stared at him with a face of "obviously". He noticed our expressions and turned red of the embarrassment.

"Okay, I get it, Well, then what are we waiting for, let's go and get to the Master emerald."

"Good idea Knuckles, but for now go by yourself. We first have to go to another place before we start our search for the emerald."

" Oh, okay, then I'll see you there later" Knuckles said while heading to his island where the Master emerald lies.

After that, Eggman and I started our journey to his Secret lair. We just got out of Station square and avoid all those cops that were around all the city looking for both of us.

It really was a long and difficult way; some robots tried to stop us. We knew that those robots were created by Dr. Ladimir because a drawing of his face was pasted on each robot, just like Eggman does with his creations. We also knew that from now on we were going through many obstacles, knowing that Ladimir's robots are almost in all places. At this rate, I had to protect Eggman from all this robots since he don't have anything to defend himself, for now.

After passing through some of Ladimir's robots, we finally made it to Eggman's lair.

"We finally made it" Eggman said exhausted

"When was the last time you did some exercise Eggman?" He then looked at me with a gloomy face.

"Well, never mind. Now we just need to find your Eggmobile and something else to defend yourself, right?

"Correct, but you can only look for my Eggmobile. Everything I need is within that flying machine."

"Wait, what do you mean that I must look for your things?" I asked while glaring at Eggman.

"Errr, well, I uhhhh"

"Fine, fine, I'll go and fetch your little toys. But you will stay here while I'm searching for it."

He nodded and I finally entered to find the Eggmobile. I was in Eggman's lair many times, so I was already expecting what was about to come. And since all this place was big and full of obstacles, I had to use my speed and other abilities in order to pass through. I also needed to defend myself against Eggman's robots, but that wasn't very hard.

I was running fast through Eggman's lair, avoiding obstacles, reaching far away areas, jumping from wall to wall, fighting against all robots until I finally made it to the final room of the lair. This room looks like a combat arena since it was very expanded; I though that maybe this is where Eggman tests all the new weapons he create before using it in a real battle. There was also a road that circled around the arena, perfect for me if I ever want to practice my speed

I saw the Eggmobile right in the center of the arena; I went to grab it, but before I could put a hand on it, a big robot suddenly appeared and it attacked me. But I jumped out of the arena and managed to avoid it; I could not believe what my eyes were seeing, it was the Egg Emperor, a giant robot that Tails, Knuckles and I fought a long time ago. I knew that I won't be able to take the Eggmobile to Eggman, not until I defeat this robot once again.

In the past, Eggman was controlling all the robot's movements, but Eggman was outside the lair waiting for me. So I was wondering, how this robot could move and fight if no one was controlling it? But I didn't cared about that right now, I knew I had to concentrate and fight.

The Egg emperor started attacking me with his blade while I was running straight at it, doing a horizontal and a vertical swipe like in old times. I already knew that I had to dodge the beams that it's sword was creating; I dodged the horizontal and vertical beams, but there was something different. Those beams started to exploded, creating big waves; now things were very tough. Those waves were going on opposite directions; one was following me, the other was going to meet me later in front of me. I jumped to dodge the wave on my tail and on my front at the right time, and they both hit each other and disappeared. Suddenly, the Egg emperor got out of my sight; now I'm the one been chased. It was right behind me doing the same stuff with his blade, firing horizontal and vertical beams at me. And just like earlier, they just exploded and sent waves on opposite directions; I did the same thing, I jumped and dodged those waves at the right time, and they hit each other and disappeared once again.

I took this chance to jump and do a homing attack straight to the robot's core. I damaged his core, and it suddenly stopped following me; now I was following it once again. Right now, it started to fire homing shots at me; I dodged them by moving to my right and to my left. It once again started to chase me and fire those homing shots at me again, but I dodged them just like earlier. Then, I once again used my homing attack to damage it's core. The Egg emperor then stopped following me and it entered inside the arena and I followed behind.

Once again, it was attacking me with it's blade, sending it's horizontal and vertical beams. I had the advantage to run all over the arena to not get hit by those beams, but just like earlier, they exploded. But the waves were doing big circles in the floor, so I had to jump into the circle at the right time in order to avoid getting hit by the corners. It also used it's homing shots again, but I destroyed them with my homing attack. When I had the chance, I once again damaged it's core with another homing attack; the robot started to have short circuits, and that means that I almost got it. But at this point, the robot became crazy and started to attack like a maniac. I was running all over the arena, avoiding it's attacks and trying to find a chance to destroy it once and for all; suddenly, all it's attacks were over. It run out of homing shots, and it's blade was broken; this was my chance, I once again do a homing attack straight to it's core, and I finally destroy it. After a short time, it exploded, and I finally could get some breath after this madness.

Fortunately, the Eggmobile was okay, so I could finally return it to Eggman in one peace, or maybe not, because I saw Eggman entering to the arena.

"Oh, so you finally got it" Eggman said with a happy face. "Phew, I'm glad that my Eggmobile is okay."

"hey! You didn't tell me that I had to fight with one of your big toys again. Oh man, you don't know what I just passed." I said in a bad mood.

"Well, I-... I'm sorry" Eggman replied with a worried face.

"Just tell me one thing, if you were not inside your toy, then how it could started moving and defending itself?"

"Well, that's very simple, auto pilot my little hedgehog, auto pilot."

"Oh, I see" I said while glaring at him. "Bah, never mind, I already found your beloved Eggmobile, so hop on in already and let's go, we need to find Knuckles at his island so he can use the Master emerald and find that emerald that Dr. Ladimir wants.

He then nodded and got in the Eggmobile; we then got out of his lair and continued our journey straight to Knuckles island.
