As scheduled, I brought in part 3 of the following What if: What if Robotnik won early?

Last time on this What if all of this happened.

Robotnik was close to world domination, but he stopped himself when he realized all that he harmed.

He surrendered himself over and works public service for most of his life to serve as a punishment.

But he was allowed to adopt Tails as his son, which now makes his real name Miles Robotnik.

Things actually seemed to turn around for him, except one thing he has to fix.

He needs to bring Sonic back and apologize to him for killing him.

Only one problem though, no one was able to find his body.

In part 1, I had Ivo dispose of Sonic's body into Green Hill's water because he didn't need to keep a dead person.

But when everyone tried to find Sonic's body in the exact same place....................it was gone!

There were no bones flesh or anything left of the Blue Blur, as if he disappeared.

This can only lead to one conclusion.......Sonic is still alive!

While this news overjoys Ivo at first because he knows he didn't really kill him, it also leaves him feeling guilty and another emotion: fear

Robotnik was trying to fix his mistake, but he didn't consider what Sonic may do to him once he brought him back.

Now Ivo fears what will happen if Sonic tries to come for him.

Tails assures Ivo that he would be there with him if Sonic does try to kill him.

Everyone does try to look for Sonic, but they're out of luck, with the hedgehog leaving no tracks they can follow.

With no sure where Sonic is and if he's still alive, Ivo is back to square one on bringing him back.

What could do?

When he's down in his room trying to get an idea, something hits.

He could revive Sonic with genetically!

Sure, it won't be the real Sonic, but at least he could still be around as Sonic to give him another chance with him.

While robotics are his expertise, his grandfather's was genetics, like when he made Shadow.

The government eventually trusts Ivo to go to the Space Colony ARK to gather Gerald's equipment there.

Ivo had already done a lot for the world, so it was fair enough for him to be repaid for his service by getting his family life's work.

After getting all he needed, he looked for a sample of Sonic's DNA to use.

He finds some still on the wrecking ball he used years ago.

Thankfully, with Tails help, the machines work perfectly and are ready to use to make a Sonic clone.

It will take an extremely long time though, as all organic beings do to grow everything.

During this time, a few things are happening to what could've been Sonic's friends.

Amy was captured by Robotnik's forces near the end of the Mobian Exodus.

When it was over, she was allowed to leave.

But out of curiosity, she comes back often after she met Tails when he was freed.

After hearing Tails speak in defense of Ivo, she decides to give him a chance as well.

After people heard that she was visiting Miles Robotnik often, no one would let her have a job afterwards.

A lot of the world is still paranoid and angry at Ivo for what he did, and anyone being kind or forgiving to him was seen as a traitor.

Things get difficult for Amy to keep up and she eventually begins to even lose her own home.

Ivo sees this problem building and offers Amy a place to stay with him and Miles.

He even offers her a small garden, and his new base has been given some trees and other plants to make it more lively.

Amy accepts later, feeling glad she would at least be around Miles, who sees her as a sister.

As for Knuckles, he's still on that island guarding the Master Emerald.

Knuckles probably won't be doing anything in this What if until maybe the next part.

Shadow won't be in in until the next part too, what with him still being stuck in stasis.

As for Rouge, she's gotten the worst life in the aftermath of Robotnik's invasion.

After it was found out that she had secretly given away the weak spots to secure locations, Rouge was view as both a traitor and the enemy.

Because she had put everyone at risk of being robotized, just about every country in the world put a bounty on her.

Rouge is practically the most wanted criminal in the world.

She may be a jewel thief, but even she wants to be able to walk in public without someone trying to kill her.

But now she has nowhere to go and no one to run to......except one.

Tired of hiding and running for her life, Rouge goes to take shelter with the only person she's interacted with in past years: Dr Robotnik.

Ivo also lets her stay, feeling he owed it to her for the trouble he put her in.

Rouge thanks Ivo and promises to reward him any way she could, to which he denies it since her getting a better life is all that matters to him.

While Ivo and Miles still work on the Sonic clone, Amy and Rouge help out some to make life easier.

Amy helps clean the place up, as well as being given a chance by Ivo to run and operate the medical wing of the base.

Rouge is the Robotnik's intel and representative.

Her representative job she takes to be the one to report to the government and world leaders what Ivo's progress is on various projects.

As for intel, Rouge has 2 things that make her extremely useful in this job.

The first is her experience as a jewel thief.

Having hunted down tons of valuable treasures in the world's most secure places, she's perfect for stealth missions.

Why would Robotnik need a spy?

There are lots of reasons.

Finding people in possession of illegal and dangerous inventions.

Tracking down weapons dealers

Or just simply reporting anything that the government and Robotnik need to know about if it concerns the world's safety and peace.

Her second use on intel is that she's been given full access to Robotnik's systems.

She's even given a special AI that goes around with her to help her out.

In a way, Rouge's AI is the alternate timeline counterpart to Sally Acorn's AI, Nicole.

The AI can use nanites like Nicole to make herself a physical form and go into various systems.

But this AI has several more advantages over Sally's.

She can make shield barriers from her nanites that can block a small barrage of missiles.

She can be both at the base system and a device planted on Rouge at the same time.

She can give Rouge enhanced strength and agility by being inside Rouge's new jumpsuit.

And finally, she can feed data into Rouge's mind so she can tell her without having to talk to her in a stealth mission.

While Rouge's AI can also fight separate from Rouge with her own weapons, it can't take on everything without Rouge herself.

I just put the AI part in because I thought it would be an interesting asset to the small team that starting to form under Ivo.

Back to the What if.

After nearly half a year, the new Sonic is fully born.

Miles is able to find a way to copy genetic memories into the new Sonic's mind.

Not all of Sonic's memories are there, but it's enough to be considered Sonic.

Once the new Sonic awakens, he attacks Ivo with intent to kill him.

This Sonic was both confused and enraged at Robotnik.

Miles, Amy, along with Rouge and her AI try to restrain the new Sonic so everyone can talk with him.

Thankfully, Miles came prepared to handle Sonic.

Miles tricks Sonic into almost falling into the pool of Eggman's base.

They all take the opening and get Sonic restrained so he can calm down.

Once Sonic has lost enough steam, the others explained to him what happened while he was supposedly "dead".

This clone of Sonic has a tough time accepting the fact that he's not real, still showing signs of rage towards Ivo for what he did to the real him.

He does come to some grips though that Robotnik might have actually changed because of him and Tails.

After a month of giving Ivo the silent treatment, Sonic comes forward forgives him, only on the condition that he never uses his genius to take everyone's freedom ever again.

Of course, the doctor agrees and is finally able to rest at night with a clear conscience.

With no apparent threats at moment, the new Sonic doesn't really have any reason to be a hero and fight.

The new Sonic asks Ivo if maybe he could stick around and use his speed to help some.

Ivo gives Sonic a chance to still be able to use his speed and skills to fight any evil.

Miles helps test the new Sonic's speed, and finds he's only a hair slower than the original Sonic.

In response to this, Ivo and Miles work on an improved version of Sonic's shoes so he can match up with the real Sonic.

If the real Sonic is possibly still alive and out there, they need to be ready in case he comes back for vengeance.

As an extra bonus, Robotnik gives the new Sonic a partner to help him when he needs it: Metal Sonic.

With this replacement to Sonic on Ivo's side, the robot replacement for Sonic won't be fighting him.

Aside from helping Sonic with tougher opponents, Metal Sonic is there in case Sonic finds himself in a situation where he can't fly.

Robotnik even gives Metal the ability to act as an armored suit for Sonic in case he needs to go to space.

The only thing for Sonic they need to fix is what to call him to separate him from the original Sonic.

The new Sonic decides to be called "Bio Sonic", since he was a genetic clone of Sonic.

Now with everything set up for the Robotnik team, all that's left to do is be prepared for the worst.

The next part will cover Sonic Adventures 1 & 2.

Knuckles and Shadow will appear on the scene, but will Ivo, Miles, Bio Sonic and the rest of the team be ready for them?
