(Okay, we are BACK! Now, let us enjoy some fun in the sun all the while bashing some bots!)

Sonic's P.O.V.

So, after finishing our Chili Dogs, we head back to Adabat. It is day which is perfect as we get to do some smashing in the sun. Tails lands the plane and we hop off it. I do a little stretch to make sure my muscles don't get stiff. "Alright, here's the key. I'll keep watch and make sure Eggman's bots don't get near the town." Tails says, giving (Y/N) the key. I smile and stand up, giving him a thumbs up, "And we'll find the temple." I state.

(Y/N) cracks her knuckles, "And how about some delicious drinks after?" She says. "Oh! Me, me, me!" Chip exclaims, raising his hand. (Y/N) smiles at him and they share a high five. I shake my head, those two... I smirk and look ahead, "Well, the sooner we find that temple, the more deserving of the drinks will be." I state. (Y/N) smirks, "Well, then... LET'S GO!" She runs off. "Yeeeeeaaaahhh!" And Chip flies off. I adjust my gloves then get into position. "Good luck!" I hear Tails say right before I sped off. (We're coming drinks! 🍹🧉🍾)

I grabbed (Y/N) and make our way across the docks and the houses. He makes it in to the jungle and I toss (Y/N) up as I scale up walls. We continue to run, but so far there haven't been any of Eggman's bots. Until I hear something and look to find, "More box lasers bots?" (Y/N) says. "You think he would get more creative at this point." I comment. More bots appear and I see (Y/N) take out her staff and hold it out to me. I grab onto it and spin rapidly then let her go and send her at the metallic, floating boxes.

She lands on the right one and I get to taking out the land patrol. I boost and take them out in one hit then I look up to see (Y/N) jump from one box bot to the other all the whole popping off pieces and slicing up their inner workings. But then she takes some cords of theirs and ties them up, jumps off and I catch her right as we pass under them and hear an explosion. "Hah! Either Eggman's welting is weak or I'm just that strong." She says, flexing her arm. And I have to say, those are nice biceps~ (He respects strong woman~ 💪 👩)

I run along water and pass ancient ruins sprouting out of it. "So you can run on water, but you can't get in it?" (Y/N) asks. I keep looking ahead, "I prefer my feet on the ground." I respond. "And yet you have had your head up in the clouds. Literally." She replies. I'm not afraid of water. I just don't like being in it. (Because he can't swim. 😏) "Well, how about you go for a swim right now?" I tease. "DON'T YOU DARE." She warns, holding onto me tighter. I smirk at that. I win. (Smug jerk. 😤)

We make it back onto land but I hear loud whirring. "Oh, come on! How many of these one-eyed freak bots am I going to have to blind?" (Y/N) complains. I just shrug my shoulders. So, same song and dance. Avoid mines, dodge lasers and throw (Y/N) at the bot. I run backwards and watch and-Wow. (Y/N) pops off one of its arms with her staff then it tries grabbing her but she jumps and flips backwards to avoid it gracefully. She lands on its eye and stabs it with her staff. She pops something out of it and she jumps off. I catch her and face ahead right as the bot explodes behind me.

So, some more running and scaling ancient buildings fought more bots then boom! Stage completed. (See what I did there~?) I place my hands on my hips and breathe in the air. (Y/N) puts away her blades and exhales, "Hoo, boy. Eggman has gotten lazy, what's it gonna take to get something new?" She asks. I shrug a shoulder, "Eh, only when he's got new inspiration." I reply. "Well," We look to see Chip appearing, his hands behind his back, "I got... The Second Key!" He exclaims, revealing a key.

"Alright!" I cheer. "Yes! Way to go, Chip!" (Y/N) cheers and she shares a high five with Chip. He flies over to me and holds his hand up, sharing a high five with him too. (Y/N) takes out the other half and she and Chip put the two pieces together. It glows red and Chip holds it as he flies in a direction, "Follow me!" He says. I hold a hand to (Y/N), "Shall we?" I say to her, smirking at her. She gives a smirk back and takes my hand, "We shall." She says. (These two. How long until they make it official? Let alone confess.)

Third Person P.O.V.

Chip leads ahead with Sonic following after him with (Y/N) in his arms. However, as Sonic is running down a stone pathway, a refurbished Egg Beetle now dubbed the Egg Lance appears in front of him. "Huh. Looks like old Eggy really is in desperate need of originality." Sonic comments. "Chip! Get to safety!" (Y/N) shouts and Chip flies off while the two hedgehogs deal with the Egg Lancer.

It fires two beams and they close in on them but thinking quick, (Y/N) takes out her staff and grabs onto one end while Sonic grabs the other and the two spin into the air. (Y/N) then swings it down, launching Sonic at Egg Lancer and spin dashes into its head. It falters ahead and the two chase after it.

Sonic grabs onto (Y/N) as he scales up a wall and runs along the side while the Egg Lancer tries to fire at them with its lasers. (Y/N) ends up taking out one of her blades and uses it reflect one laser back at the Egg Lancer. They make it back on the ground and soar through the air, scale along the buildings then launch themselves at Egg Lancer. They continue one for a bit until both flew through the air and (Y/N) expertly slices off its pincers as Sonic spin dashes at the head. (Deadly duo, they are.) The Egg Lancer malfunctions until it explodes in a fiery glory. "What, over already? Oh, well." Sonic comments.

He and (Y/N) land on the ground. (Y/N) puts away her blades, "I wanted new, not redo." She states, resting a hand on her hip. Sonic sighs, "Well, Egghead doesn't really listen." He says. (Yeah. Not one of his best traits.) (Y/N) nods her head in agreement. "Hey, guys!" They look to see Chip appear. "The key, uh... I-It unlocked the temple. Th-That way." He stutters, pointing in the direction. However, he frowns as his gaze becomes distant. "Well, alright then. To the temple!" (Y/N) says, walking ahead. But looked back at Chip for a moment. Sonic follows after her, but glances at Chip as the little guy walks instead of flies. (What's going on with him? 🤨)
