Sun And Moon (Werehog And Spectra/OC)
(Something for AbbeyFazbear. Enjoy!)
"Spectra....Please. Never forget me. I love you. Always and forever."
That was the last thing her bestest friend ever had said before his disappearance. A memory that will forever haunt the innocent hedgehog's mind.
"It was a pleasure being your friend."
And just like the wild winds, he was gone. All that was left was Sonic....Sonic the hedgehog. The werehog was gone.
"Mr. Werehog...." Sarah sighed to herself, remembering when Dark Gaia took him away.
How he sacrificed himself to save others. He knew deep down that he was nothing but a few fragments of the snake-like beast. But, Sarah seen way more than that. She seen who the werehog truly was and who he truly is.
"He's more than just a few fragments," she thought, "He's my friend. The one that always understood me. Always being there for me. Always protecting me through every night."
Sarah stood up passed her bedtime, staring up at the full moon and her millions of brightly shining starry children throughout the night.
"Werehog," she said, "Wish you were here."
The stars continued to sparkle and shine their wonderous light. "Or, not." Sarah said. Feeling defeated, she sighed and walked back inside her apartment.
"If only I could hear you howl just one more time. Howl so I will know you're okay." Unfortunately, nothing went off. Only the far distant barking of the town's dogs in the alleyways.
"I was afraid of that."
Sarah looked away from the outside world of the City of Columbia and walked to her bed. What she didn't know was that she was being watched from the shadows of the night.
A slight dog-like growl was made and a shadowy figure appeared. A nearby alleycat that was digging into the trashcans, minding it's own business when the mysterious critter approached its path.
Startled and scared, the cat's plain brownish-gray fur puffed up as it leaped a few inches off the ground with a loudly feared meow as its bright orange eyes widened with a sudden shock.
After a few seconds, it dashed off, knocking everything down in its path from the shadowy creature of the night.
"Spectra...."
That was all the creature said with a deep male voice. It looked up at Sarah's appartment bedroom window as it was tightly locked from the inside for the night. He knew there was only one way to get through--Break in.
With a wolf-like howl, the creature leaped towards Sarah's appartment, leaping from building to building of the big resting Spagonian town. Finally, he reached her bedroom appartment window.
Deeply breathing from all the leaping, he growled and climbed on top of the roof. Without realizing, his long sharp claws scratched all over its walls, unexpectedly waking up the sleeping Spanish speaking light-blue female African pygmy hedgehog.
Her head quickly turned towards her window, wondering what was going on in the middle of the sleepless night.
"Hello?" She called out.
No response.
Then, more scratching was heard by her two blue short hedgehog ears.
"Amy?" Nothing.
"Tails?" Nothing. The scratches gotten louder and closer.
"Professor Pickle?" Again, nothing. Just scratching sounds.
"Chippy?" Nada. The sounds were getting closer and closer, meaning each name Sarah called out was wrong of the creature's possible name.
Sarah gulped as she tightly closed her lime-green eyes, gripping her purple faux fur blanket as she nervously said one more name.
"S-Sonic?"
Then, the scratches and loud noises stopped. That's it. They just....Stopped like that. Was the critter named Sonic somehow or some way?
"Hello? Sonic?"
A few seconds later, her bedroom door slowly opened, making an unpleasant eerie creaking sound as it opens all the way until the back knob hits the wall. Nothing but pitch black of the darkness was seen by Sarah's eyes.
That's when two bright emerald green eyes opened and looked straight towards Sarah as she was still laying in her bed.
"Oh, shoot!" She thought. "Who or what are you, if I may kindly ask?"
A small deep chuckle was made coming from the emerald green glowing eyes. "You mean you don't recognize me....Spectra Alice?"
"Holy Master Emerald, how do you know me somehow?" Sarah asked as she jolted upward from her bed, still covered in her purple blanket.
"Why, I remember you. I remember when you used to wait for me every night before you fell asleep. I remember when you gave me a nickname. When you always hugged me whenever you were scared from the creatures of the night. Yeah?"
Sarah was more lost than a hedgehog in a haystack. "I'm sorry....What?"
Surprised, the emerald green eyes looked down in sudden sadness. "You mean....You don't remember me? I am who you used to call Mr. Werehog."
"Wait....What?"
"I can't believe you don't remember me!" The green eyes ran off as fast stomping was heard going down the hallways.
"Wait!" Sarah quickly got out of bed and chased towards the mysterious creature. "Wait!"
The critter leaped onto another bed in another bedroom, sobbing into another faux furred pillow from the sudden surprise.
"Why didn't she remember me? What did I do wrong?" He continued to sob hard. "I just wanted to see my best friend again!" He howled. "I missed her!"
That's when Sarah immediately remembered. A helpless werehog replayed in her mind. How he needed help defeating a dark giant snake-like creature. And immediately, those last words replayed into her mind.
"Spectra....Please. Never forget me. I love you. Always and forever."
"No! Werehog, no! Don't go!" She screamed.
"It was a pleasure being your friend."
And just like the wild winds, he was gone. The werehog was gone. Sarah came back to the present as she seen the critter still crying.
"Mr. Werehog?" She said, walking up to it. "Is that truly you?"
He looked back at her, his eyes now red from all the sobbing and hard crying. He nodded, sniffing with tears still in his sadden pained eyes.
Sarah sighed and smiled, offering her left hand towards him. "Pleasure to meet you again, my dear friend."
Surprised, he wiped away his tears and slightly smiled while accepting her hand.
"It's dear my friend, Sarah."
She chuckled a little. "Correct. And yes, I still remember your tune. The Werehog's lullaby--Dear My Friend."
He laughed, still sniffing as he hugged his newfound friend close. His eyes slowly dried from tears as Sarah gently hugged him back.
"Great to have you back, Mr. Werehog."
He nodded. "Great to be back."
That's when he stopped hugging her, his two big and furry hands still holding onto her shoulders.
Still smiling, he asked. "But, may you still call me Sonic? I loved that name."
She nodded. "Great to have you back....Sonic. Sonic the werehog. My moonbeam."
Sarah hugged him again, this time with her lime-green eyes falling asleep on his furry blue chest.
"Hehe! And, you are my little ray of sunshine. You are the sun to my moon."
The sun and the moon finally was back together again and this time....For good and forever. Not even Dark Gaia can take the werehog back.
