Third Person's POV

"A thing of beauty should be cherised and protect it" Aleena said "But if we fear to lose it, it can lead to betrayal and ugliness" Markus said.

Our four heroes were in an abandoned sewer looking for something Robotnik has hidden, Manic pointing out that it would be here as no one would think of looking here. At the ebd of the road they found a safe and Manic tried to open it but it was actually Dingo morphed "No escape for you this time, Sonic and Brody! The royal wolf and hedgehogs are about to be deposed permanently" Sleet said arriving with swatbots "Get them!" Sleet said and Sonic and Brody run around Dingo creating a tornado sending Dingo flying into Sleet knocking him down.

Sonia and Manic helped Sonic and Brody take out the swatbots and they all run away "Don't let them get away!" Sleet said as the heroes exit the building and get on their van driving away.

"Are you sure you know where you going Brody?" Sonia asked as Brody was the one driving "Cause I think we are lost" She said "Sis is right, all this desert just looks like...well desert" Manic said "Take a chill pill. I know exactly where I'm going" Brody said "And where exactly?" Sonia asks "Away from Sleet and Dingo" Brody said "I knew it! You are lost! Why guys won't ever admit when they are lost" Sonia said "Hey! Don't include me on this I'm on your side!" Manic said "Well you are a guy!" Sonia said "Hey! I resent that!" Sonic, Brody and Manic said "Besides I still got us away" Brody said

"Wow woukd you look at that" Brody said stopping at a cliff as they see below a town "It's like all of Mobius before Robotnik took over" Sonia said and Brody drives down the cliff and gets to the city and the four get out of the van "Am I dreaming or what?" Sonic asks "Welcome to lake valley resort, I'm stripes" A tiger said "Ans you are?" He asks Sonia "I'm Sonia and this are my brother and this my friend Sonic, Manic and Brody" she said pointing at Sonic and Manic first then Brody "Very pleased to meet YOU" Stripes said grabbing Sonia's palm and kisses it "And your brothers and friend" he said "Not many travelers come through the wasteland. What brings you to our valley?" He asked "Well you know we were just kicking some swatbo-ow" Manic said as Sonic elbows him "Yeah we are kicking back" Sonic said "See the sights. Tourists know what I mean?" Brody asks "What's with the elbow bro?" Manic asks Sonic "Don't blab about the resistance till we know whichcside they are on" Sonic whispered "It's all so wonderful like Mobius used to be. How did you manage to keep it safe from robotnik?" Sonia asks "We mind our own business and Robotnik leaves us alone. Why should he care about one little valley in all of Mobius" Stripes said "If he doesn't control it..." Sonic started "Buttnik cares about it" Brody said "You and your brothers and friend are welcome to stay as long as you like" Stripes said "Let's do it! It's so beautiful here" Sonia said and Sonic and Brody agreed to take a break.

"I hope you'll be comfortable it's the best we can do on short notice" Stripes said as he took our heroes to the house they'll rest in "It's beautiful! If there's anything you want just ask" Stripes said leaving "This reminds me of vacations with my foster family when I was a child" Sonia said "It reminds me of anything I didn't have as a kid" Manic said as the four go out in the balcony "But you know, I can get used to this place" Manic said "Don't get too used to this place" Brody said "We still don't know which side Stripes is on" Sonic said.

Later at night in Stripes house, Stripes opened a secret compartiment he has revealing a computer and he turns it on contacting Robotnik "Ah, Sripes. I hope you're calling with good news for your sake, are there strangers in the valley?" Robotnik asks "Yes um, three, three strangers" Stripes said skipping one "It's four I'm interested in oh well, can't have everything yet" robotnik said "Are they with the resistance?" He asked "I-I, I don't know but I will find out" Stripes said "Well you better be fast remember our deal? I leave your valley alone if you turn over all members of the resistance to me" Robotnik said "Y-Yes sir. I know" Stripes said "If they are members of the resistance, you must roboticize them now" Robotnik said hanging up.

*Next day*

"I can't believe you two are gonna play tennis dudes, that usually not your stuff" Manic said "No biggie bro, we are just acting as tourists while we scope out the village" Sonic said "Something about this place smells fishy" Brody said "No offense dudes but you guys worry too much" Manic said "Have a good game, I think I'll just hang out in the village" Manic said "Don't forget bro, keep your fingers out of trouble" Sonic said as he and Brody walk off.

Sonia was still in the house waking up as she has breakfast served "Oooo, yum" Sonia said and after breakfast she went to the bathtub and took a bubble bath and after she was done she brushes her hair "You know, I think I can get used to this" Sonia said when she hears the doorbell and opens it to see it's Stripes "I saw this and thought of you" Stripes said showing her a beautiful flower "It's perfect" Sonia said taking it "Everything's been perfect, I almost forgot what it was like to live like this" Sonia said "We try to keep things the valley the way they were.... in happier times" Stripes said "Maybe I could show you the sights" he said "Ooo, I'd like that!" Sonia said.

*Meanwhile with Sonic and Brody*

"Aw bummer, I missed! Alright here I go Brody, this time I'll get you good" Sonic said "We'll see about that!" Brody said as Sonic hits the tennis ball and Brody runs and returns it "Whoa! Good return!" Sonic said and returns it back and the two go on and on. Eventually got on the referee seat "Out! That ball was over the line!" Sonic said "what do you mean out? That ball was in by a Mobius mile!" Brody said and Sonic runs up to him "Okay, I'll let it slide if I get a kiss" Sonic said wrapping his arms around Brody's neck and Brody rolls his eyes chuckling "Okay" Brody said and the two kiss.

At the same time, Manic was walking around in the village "Man, I never seen so much stuff all in one place" Manic said and stole a few apples and was about to leave "Just one minute friend" the store owner said putting his hand on Manic's shoulder "Oops, busted. Listen I can explain everything" Manic said "No need to explain, you must be hungry pal have some more nothing's too good for our guests" the vendor said giving Manic a bag full of apples but when Manic said he was from the resistance the vendor and a few people passing by got mad and Sonic and Brody see this and thry take him and run off. Manic explained why the crowd got mad causing Sonic and Brody to get suspicious of the village and decided to look for Sonia.

"Everything is so wonderful I could stay here forever" Sonia said "Why don't you? I've always thought the valley is beautiful but it's even more beautiful now that you're here" Stripes said "I'm tempted....but I can't the work I'm doing with my friend and my brothers is very important" Sonia said "It's useless to fight Robotnik, the only way to save Mobius is to make a deal with him" Stripes said "You can't make a deal with someone who wants to destroy everything!" Sonia said "Anyone who does that is afraid to fight" she said "I'm not afraid! I'm only trying to save my home" Stripes said storming off.

After a song Sonia looked down sadly "Yo! Sis!" Sonic saidas the boys rush to her "We got a problem. We're talking bigge" Brody said "the resistance is not exactly numero uno here" Manic said "You know, Stripes feels the same there must be a way to make Stripes get them to change their minds about the resistance" Sonia said "But wait how did they get Robotnik to leave this place alone?" Manic asks "Stripes said sometimes you have to make a deal with Robotnik.... you don't think..?" Sonia asks "Only one way to find out" Brody said.

*Later at Night*

Sonic and Brody were hidden outside Stripes house and watch him communicate with Robotnik "What do you have to report stripes?" Robotnik asks "Sonic, Brody and Manic are here" Stripes said "What about Sonia?" Robotnik asks "There's no sign of Sonia, I'll keep looking for her" Stripes said "See that you do but don't let those runt boys get away. Sleet and Dingo will take care of those three" Robotnik said "We really were sold out" Sonic said and the two run away.

Sonic and Brody got back to Sonia and Manic as it was day "Stripes ratted us out to buttnik!" Brody said and Sonia gasps "He'd never do that! I don't believe you! You two never liked Stripes, you both always been afraid I'd stay here!" Sonia said "Hey! Believe what you want to believe sis but we know what we heard!" Sonic said "We gotta get out of here pronto!" Sonic said.

"I can't letyou leave" Stripes said blocking the way to the van "I can't believe you told Robotnik about us!" Sonia said "Not you Sonia. Just about Sonic, Brody and Manic" Stripes said "I'm sorry but there's no other way to keep the valley safe" He said "I'd never desert my brothers and friend or the resistance!" Sonia said "The resistance will never be able todefeat Robotnik. I'm only doing what I have to do for the valley" Stripes said "What about the rest of Mobius?" Sonia asks "I can't do anything about the rest of Mobius" Stripes said "It's been fun but we gotta run!" Sonic said as he and Brody run to the van and dodge when a swatbot shoots at them as Sleet and Dingo arrived "You've done well Stripes" Sleet said "Roboticize everyone in the valley! And get rid of alk this green stuff!" He said as robots started to cut down trees and Sleet tells Stripes the deal is off now that he has the royal princes and princess but the heroes get on the van and drive off just to think of a plan.

Before Stripes got roboticized the heroes returned and Sonia summoned her piano shooting the roboticizer open rescuing Stripes and he convinces the villagers to help the heroes and they all destroyed the robots and swatbots and Sonic and Brody sent Dingo and Sleet into the water and they escaped.

"I know now I can't make deals I found a new way to protect the valley, fighting against Robotnik" Stripes said "You could still stay and fight by my side" Sonia said "I wish I could, but my place is with my brothers and my friend" Sonia said "I'll always be glad to have as part of the resistance and as a friend" she said "Maybe when we need rest nd relaxation we'll come back" Sonia said as the four heroes get in the van and Sonic drives them away as Stripes and the Villagers wave goodbye and so this chapter comes to an end.
